    This game is everything I ever wanted from a good Harry Potter game. And Harry isn't even in it. The game mechanics, especially the fighting is far better and more fun than I expected. It's clearly aimed at children so don't expect people or creatures exploding into a cloud of blood and organs. Nearly every aspect of the books is in the game, potion brewing, broom flying, taming magicalThis game is everything I ever wanted from a good Harry Potter game. And Harry isn't even in it.     great game packed with love for the Source Material. For their first real Openworld game..this is just perfect... Packed with stuff to do..like a Ubisoft game..but actually fun to play. Just ignore the woke braindead Mob and enjoy this love letter to Hogwarts.

    I had no intention of ever buying this game, then all of the bullying of strangers buy virtue signalling bigots happened so I rushed straight out on got a copy. Thanks to you idiots I'm experiencing one of the best games I've played in ages.

    Giant round of applause for Avalanche. This is an incredible game, visually stunning, quality voice acting, well told story and suspense. Everything I could have asked for, except for the one we’re all wondering about. Quidditch :)

Alot of the negative reviews are either from people who hate harry potter, or they are members of the lettuce gorganzola bacon tomato+. Combat is exactly how it should be for a wizarding world game and is implemented great. World exploration is also A+ the mapGame is fantastic, especially if your a fan of harry potter. Graphics are also good, not GOW, or LOU level but i think the game looks great, espeically with all the magical effects. There is also just alot to do in the game and it all feels natural. Whether you want to customize your own space, play a psudo pokemon collector, partake in races, classes, or challenges from class mates, to flying around on your broom or mount, solving puzzles for hidden treasure, or honing your combat skills clearing bandit/enemy camps.     10! 10! 10! This game is absolutely everything I dreamed it would be. The hype is VERY real. Gave it a 10 on the PS5 for the exclusive content and DualSense integration. Give it a 9 on the Series X.

    This is honestly one of the best games I’ve played in years, people will say it has its issues however, with the price of games theses days it’s so refreshing to get such a massive and magical experience for your money.

    The hand holding at the start to slowly break you into the games core mechanics was perfect and not mundane even for a gaming veteran.

    There is SO much todo in this game and the world is so beautiful and magical and you will get lost on all the small tiny details.

    Another thing which I believe is not touched on enough in this game is your “field guide” challenge tracker basically and heart of your menus. It’s actually amazing and works perfect with all details being considered and is 1000% the best challenge tracker/field guide in any game ever.

    Every single challenge or quest rewards with something unique. 10/10 Absolute MUST play if you love potter or not    … Expand

    Absolutely incredible game. I have spent hours just walking around completely immersed. From the shops of Hogsmeade to the extremely fleshed out Hogwarts, this IS the game every Potter fan has hoped and dreamed for. Well done!!

    Thank you Avalanche and Port Key games for this amazing homage to the world of Harry Potter. One of the better intros to a game I've seen in recent memory and easily the best game to date at leveraging the new PS5 controllers.     This is the game every single Harry Potter fan deserved, we can finally immerse ourselves in a game and re-live the world of magic like we have dreamed about for years.

    I also want to add that J. K. Rowling is a great person and her opinion is perfectly healthy and I totally support her.

    I had high expectations for this game and was afraid of being letdown but as high as they were, this game blew them away. Too early to call it game of the year but I’ll bet anything that it’ll be in the conversation.

    truly an amazing game especially if you are a fan of the following: harry potter, RPGS, and not letting the woke mob tell you what you can and cant buy. The combat is nice, the character creation is more than what i thought it be, hogwarts itself is huge and expansive.

This game is a beautiful open RPG that delights in giving you so many different ways to play that how can go wrong. Even if you don't like the story or the characters, there are literally hundreds of side quests and amazing adventures and it's all very open.     Likely many others, I read all the HP books when they came out and wished I lived in the HP universe when I was a kid. This game captures of the magic of the universe while also making it darker. The combat system is different, but once you get the hang of it, it’s smooth. It’s not perfect as picking a specific target can be a mess in a crowd. Flying around on the broom and the easy fast traveling system makes maneuvering the map a good time. Want to explore? Fly around. Want to get right to where you want to go? Fast travel and then fly the remaining distance. I loved the game, beat it and completed over 90% of the challenges this past week. I really hope it gets turned into a tv show that goes as dark as the game goes.

    As for bad reviews go, if any negative review starts off by speaking of JK Rowling, take it with a grain of salt.    … Expand

    I am a man of few words. But this game at every levels from the ground up is so much fun. The graphics, gameplay, combat, story everything is top notch. I have no clue why it’s not a higher score. I think it’s perfect.

Great writing, extremely amazing combat, fun side activities, living breathing world and a lot of things to do to occupy your time.

    Not only that, the PC version was absolutely created with love. 0 issues, a full array of PC specific settings, and a fantastic integration of mouse and KB with keybindings. This game just checks all the right boxes and one if not THE best and smoothest PC launch I've had in years.

    not a Harry Potter fan, I couldn’t care less, but the more controversial it got the more I paid attention and i’m absolutely loving it. Just finished an Elden Ring run through,
    and now onto this. I bought several copies to supplement the loss in sales the boycott may have wrought.

    The best single player rpg in the Harry Potter's universe. The world is massive, Hogwarts is full of secret and easter eggs, i love this game and i'm really happy i finally got a chance to be part of the wizarding world! A must play for every fans. If you like a challenge i suggest to switch the difficulty to hard.

    It's amazing to see Hogwarts realized on the nextgen, the people who did the world design are the True MVP's of Legacy.

    Am absolutely loving the Wizarding World. Tons of stuff to do, combat is fun if not a bit challenging (which was a pleasant surprise.). The only down sides I see are a lack of mob variety and some repetitive game mechanics. Definitely a recommend.

    The immersion into the Harry Potter world is phenomenal, the introduction had be feeling like I was in control of a movie, but with great gameplay. I’ve spent hours just walking around hogwarts, both inside and out.

    10/10, it’s for both kids and adults alike.

    J K Rowling is a genius. She has created such an amazing world and the expert game developers at avalanche were able to deliver. This game is pretty much exactly what I expected it to be. I love open world games with lots of things to do. You won't be disappointed in that regard. If you're thinking about picking this game up, you should.     Hacia muchísimos años que un juego no me sacaba una sonrisa cada 5 minutos, tengo 29 años y harry potter fue algo muy importante y parte de mi infancia, soñar con ir a Hogwarts, poder usar mi varita y emplear tantos hechizos, sin dudas no será el juego perfecto pero para lo que a mi representa es mi GOTY sin lugar a dudas del 2023

    Great game. I waited game about Hogwarts for so long! And it satisfied all my expectations! Simply my game of the year. I’m playing on ps5. No FPS drops, no game crushes, no bugs! This game just flawless!

    I was really scared as hype was huge and recently I was getting only disappointments :)… but not this time. Game has great feel of being a Hogwarts student and the mystery is everywhere 10/10 and must play for all HP fans

    If you ever dreamed of attending Hogwarts you owe it to yourself to play this game. The world is beautifully realised and rich with details and puzzles, the characters and story are interesting, the voice acting is top notch, the music is amazing, and of course most of all it's just a lot of fun! As a Harry Potter and RPG fan I'm very pleased with what Avalanche has done with this game.

It is a fantastic game, and the love/detail put in by the developments does not go unseen.     By far the best open world Harry Potter world type game I have played. The magic, the characters, Hogwarts itself is exactly what I expected and I love it. Anyone who plays it won’t be disappointed, I highly recommend this game.

    Right up there with the best games I've ever played. As a Harry Potter fan I can't imagine making a better game. This truly captured the magnificence of the entire HP universe. Bravo Avalanche and Thank you for the experience. If I could give more than a 10/10 I would.

    So far I've been playing for about 15 hours. And the game is great. Better than what I expected from it. The only thing that slightly spoils my experience are bugs. Strongrst sides - music, fights, beautiful castle. The story is also compelling. Although I do not expect any incredible twists and turns from it. Incredibly, but I got more satisfaction than from God of War.

    This game is amazing from start to finish. The story. The cutscenes. The combat. The menus. Enjoyable for the first 40 hours. I expect to play it for 400-1000 hours.

    Tons of fun running around the castle and seeing places from the books and movies. There doesn't even need a story and I would love doing that and getting collectibles.

    Avalanche Software has done an amazing job of bringing the Harry Potter universe into their open-world RPG. The world is beautifully made and looks like how I imagined the wizarding world would look like. The storyline could be better but it is still good enough to keep me interested and investing hundreds of hours into the game.     Well done game, you can spend hours and hours in this beatiful, well crafted world, even if you're not HP like me.

    As cons, had very casual difficulty, very el RPGish elements because the gameplay prioritizes exploration (not sure if it is a bad thing, but surely not for my taste).

    Yer a wizard, Harry! This game is quite honestly the biggest surprise of the year so far. Cyberpunk 2077 has taught me that when a game seems too good to be true, it probably is. So imagine my surprise when I was 8 hours into Hogwarts Legacy and realized the game was exactly what I hoped for, and more. This game truly does live up to the hype!

    I would have given it a 10/10 but sadly I had to deduct a point for the fact that even after the day 1 patch, the performance of the game isn't exactly great. I'm playing the game on an RTX 4080 with a Ryzen 7 5800X and 32GB of RAM, on a 4k monitor, and even with DLSS set to Balanced and DLSS frame generation turned on I would get unacceptably low framerates when traveling through the castle, which seemed to get worse over time. Restarting the game helped minimize this, which makes me believe the game must be suffering a memory leak. I hope this will get patched soon so I can give this game a 10/10!    … Expand

    Hogwarts Legacy has a great character design and could have had a great story too but the story is not so strong. the gameplay feels great and exploration is so entertaining. visually its great and Hogwarts castle is so detailed.

    It's been a decade since we've had a full Potterverse game, but the wait has been well worth it. Hogwarts Legacy gets just about everything right, with its involving storyline and myriad of main and side quests. Perhaps its finest feature though is Hogwarts itself, providing as much joy in just exploring the halls as performing set tasks. We doubt a single Harry Potter fan will be disappointed. We certainly weren't.
