    Great game so far! I wish there was more emphasis on choice and consequence but the world and gameplay is great. I'm not a Harry Potter fan but I love open world RPG style magic games so I had to try it out

    This game is truly incredible. I'm not even a fan of harry potter but this game makes me wanna watch the whole series. The gameplay is smooth and fun to play. The story is very engaging. Haven't played a game like it in a long long time! The map is huge and there are many things to discover. Highly recommend game!!!     As a fan of the Harry Potter series, Hogwarts Legacy is a really good gift for Harry Potter fans. There are times when I get stressed out by puzzles, and the forced conditions for progressing the story are really tricky and annoying, but I enjoy it enough.

    Best harry potter game ever and one of the most polished games ever. Favorite things about it :
    - the ability to build a base and the customization options
    - the attention to detail and how much there is to explore, you can open almost every door you can see
    - 120 fps mode, stable

    Only complaint is that the control scheme in combat is not very ergonomic and takes a lot of getting used to.

    This is the Harry Potter game we’ve all wanted. I can’t say much that hasn’t been said already. It’s that good. Sure, it could use some polish. But the world is so dense and so darn fun to explore. The combat is fun but also challenging. There are tons of things to collect that don’t feel force.     Great game runs great on my ps5 no major issues for a rpg fresh out the box highly recommended if you love the universe of Harry Potter even if you didn't before it can make a fan out of you my gf had never seen movies and the game made her her want to watch em so we are.

    Simply a great game no matter how you slice it. Good story, user friendly controls/gameplay. The amount of detail that went into all the architecture of Hogwarts Castle is beyond words. Looking forward to DLC's and a sequel!

    AMAZING game, I'm so happy that the developers put their efforts on this game, it feels so alive and everything is literally breathtaking. 10/10 game it's worth every penny I spent on it.

It's different to the other normal games these days and to have something different is real nice especially when movies and books that are a massive hit alone is wonderful to have.     The game is quality and has a lot of things to do but I personally got bored halfway through and stopped playing the game. Eventually I will finish it but as of now I need a break. The game gets very repetitive. There is almost no enemy variety and the environments outside of hogwarts all kind of look the same. Another issue I have is that the RPG systems are extremely basic.     This game is a Harry Potter fans Dream! it has so much love and Passion poured into it, the Animations and Graphics and the world is beautiful, the Voice acting is spot on, the character creator is great and Customization awesome, The Open world is Huge and Doesn't feel like the typical Ubisoft **** and The Gameplay is Fantastic.     Otimo jogo, e tudo bem feito, eles entregam totalmente aquilo que voce lê e ver nos filmes e livros de harry potter, C vc curte jogos de mundo aberto ou harry potter... voce vai adora o jogo e principalmente no ps5 que ta rodando liso e perfeito.

    Fun game for fans of the HP universe and open world game fans. Not without its faults but a different experience in an open world game. Its not anything revolutionary or game changing but it's fun to play. Combat can actually be surprisingly challenging at times. Spell changing can be a bit of an annoyance but nothing gamebreaking.     Absolutely FANTASTIC Game!!! As a Harry Potter fan, I always wanted a game like this. You can explore whole Hogwarts + Hogsmead and other smaller villages. The Story is nice, but there are some things you only understand if you watched the movies or/and read the books. And this makes the game even more interesting.

    If you grew up a Harry Potter fan and still have Hogwarts in your heart, this might be a dream come true. Hogwarts Legacy is exactly what you'd expect from an open-world RPG set in this universe. Immersive and beautifully crafted, with lots of spells, challenges, beasts, quests, combat and great storytelling. It's so much fun, you could drive 100+ hours without feeling it.

Fico perambulando pelo mapa, me perdendo pelo castelo e fazendo side quests que aparecem pelo caminho.     Game has become my favorite ever already. The time I'm gonna pour into customizing the personal rooms alone is gonna be tremendous. I don't know how they put so much great stuff into this game, but im blown away. It's unbelievable how much/how many layers this beautifully crafted game has. In awe.

If you're a fan of American RPGs with loot systems, fun combat and dungeons (which aren't repetitive by the way) you'll also like this regardless of the IP.     This game is a childhood dream come true, whether you are a fan of harry potter or not the world capture your heart. the gameplay is snappy and fun with a wide variety of spells to choose from. and don't let anyone bully you into not buying this game or guilt trip you. its just a video game that's all there is to it

    I am putting a preface on this about the trans rights issue so there is no mistake where I stand on it and show it has nothing to do with my feelings of the game.
    I will start by saying I am by no means a Harry Potter fanboy. I was an adult when the books became popular, and read them a few times yes, but I also read a lot of books. I found them enjoyable and creative. I thought it was great that young people were being introduced to the world of reading.
    The movies I thought were ridiculous until probably after the last one was released. I am not incredibly into kids movies, or even franchises like Star Wars, and Marvel. (I got into marvel movies very late and stopped being as judgy about them).
    So I am coming at this from an RPG fan, and a standard amount of post-adulthood Harry Potter book reader.
    I am also a trans rights supporter. I have dated trans women since my early 20s. I am married now, but never had any issue openly dating trans women, and defending them. I also consider myself bisexual. I have trans family members (2 niblings, and a first cousin's child whom I am close to). I find most of what JK said deplorable and ridiculous. I do feel there is room to try to understand trans issues better, and we can question how we react as parents to our child that is saying they are trans. But most of what JK said was unfounded and ridiculous. I wish she did not choose to die on this hill. It mostly shows how willing she is to be stubborn in her ignorance. Sex is real yes. Biological sex is a thing. Gender historically has been primarily based on biological sex, but obviously it has been imperfect since the beginning of documented history. Many cultures have accepted more than 2 genders. It is not the end of the world - and in fact trans people are mostly lovely, reasonable, grounded people. But biological sex is not the only thing JK ranted about. She talked about bathroom r**e which just has nothing to do with trans rights. Among other things. So I understand why people dislike her so greatly now.
    My preface is long and actually much longer but I would not have room for the review so I am cutting it there. But I want to make it clear I am not a bigot, anti-trans, right wing, or an HP "fanboy"

    The game is fantastic though. Graphics issues yes - sound/voice issues yes - again this is pre-release technically so we can expect a day 1 patch, or perhaps a patch within the first month I am sure to correct most issues.
    The combat is amazing. Spells work together better than most RPGs. Flying is amazing. The environments are amazing. The intro was beautiful. The attention to detail will be welcome by book lovers of the series.

    Slight spoiler regarding the first 3 minutes of the game:
    In the beginning the carriage is taking the characters to Hogwarts and of course flying seemingly by itself. The carriage is attacked and one of the characters plumets to the ground and dies. As soon as he dies, you see the thestral horses appear. I know this sounds like "so what?" but it is quite effective and directed brilliantly.

    The tone, and world building is so true to Harry Potter that you could see it as another entry to the films or perhaps a new series of the books. Yes the writing would need some improvements but overall it is quite well done.
    Combat is very fun in it. I am at 16 hours in and it just gets more fun. The way the spells work together is leagues above most RPGs. There aren't as many spells as some games, but that is actually a good thing in some ways. It makes it less cumbersome and avoids the overwhelming feeling some people get when building characters. It is advanced enough to please most advanced gamers, and simple enough for basic players to grasp with practice. It is obvious they worked hard on balancing the combat system.
    The exploration is well rewarded, and always a blast. The flying in it is quite fun.
    Although there is a common gear issue like some games (Ghost Recon-like gear issues) where youre constantly getting new items, but there are also some really good looking gear appearances so you can keep looking the way you want.
    The world is quite massive, and the quests are actually fun and interesting. People are claiming its just "fetch" quests but that is not really true. Sure a few fetch quests, but the environment makes up for that. The potential for DLC, expansion, are endless. The game is amazing and well worth your time. Ignore fanboys, review bombers boycotting the game as well, and play it if you enjoy large scale RPGs with good world building.    … Expand

    This game is actually really good. It has been so long since I have felt so immersed in a world. The game does a great job at making you feel like a student in a magical world. I give it a 9, because there are some sporadic performance issues, and because the story isnt as good as it could have been.

    This game is amazing. If you’re a fan of Harry Potter (and even if you’re not) you are going to love this game. It’s an open-world RPG set around magic, how could it be bad? The reason for the low ratings is due to the controversy surrounding J.K. Rowling’s views. This has nothing to do with the game. It’s the most fun I’ve had in a long time on a single-player game!

    I’m about 30 hours into the game tbh this game is surprisingly good I bought the game because as a kid I watched Harry Potter a lot and the law in this game is amazing and the combat if you aren’t a fan of Harry Potter you will be after playing this game

    By far one of the best games I’ve played in a long time. I have about 25 hours in Hogwarts Legacy so far and I’m only scratching the surface. The open world is pretty large and absolutely beautiful. If you are a fan of the movies you will most likely enjoy the game. A lot of the settings look just like out of the movies. The combat though not the flashiest feels extremely fluid andBy far one of the best games I’ve played in a long time.     Was not expecting this game to live up to the hype, however after over 30 hours in game, it just keeps delivering ! There are multiple varieties to the story also so replayability seems great (not started a second story yet). My only criticism being that the inventory management system being a bit tedious.

    Absolutely a master piece, I’ve bought this game after knowing the controversy and I have to say I’d disagree on the whole thing, they hit this off to the park. My friend that is transgender does not like what the other side is doing to the whole “controversy” she is hoping this will pass and not have influence for the opposite side of thinking trans people will have worse rep out of this.

    The game is beyond beautiful and very easy to get lost in, I can spend hours walking around Hogwarts and be utterly amazed by the amount of love and detail they put into this game. Harry Potter fans like myself will love this game, and if you haven't watched or read the books give this game a shot, you won't regret it.

    Hogwarts Legacy exceeded most of my expectations during the Early Access. The graphics and attention to detail are stunning and the Hogwarts castle, grounds, and surroundings are beautifully crafted with endless interactions, quests, activities, puzzles, etc. However, I must admit that the game is poorly optimized; with a 3080 RTX and 32GB of RAM, I'm barely able to run the game on HighHogwarts Legacy exceeded most of my expectations during the Early Access. The graphics and attention to detail are stunning and the Hogwarts castle, grounds, and surroundings are beautifully crafted with endless interactions, quests, activities, puzzles, etc. However, I must admit that the game is poorly optimized; with a 3080 RTX and 32GB of RAM, I'm barely able to run the game on High without the lingering FPS drops which can get pretty frustrating, but hopefully that is a point of focus for the development team to address in the near future. On the other hand, the character customization is fairly extensive allowing the User to create a character unique to them; the clothing/aesthetic options are pretty vast as well. Being a long time Harry Potter fan, I enjoyed the story for the most part and the spell casting and gameplay mechanics are smooth outside of the FPS drops, if not somewhat repetitive. The open world is massive and well populated with constant discoveries to be made. Crossing my fingers that they're able to integrate quidditch as they continue to improve the broom flying mechanics and make the game more optimized.     Such an immersive experience, I have read and watched the various HP series, but I wouldn't say I'm a potterhead. I will say though this is a very immersive way of experiencing the HP world. The developers have managed to make the experience feel similar yet different enough to make it interesting. It feels like they have expanded the world in a very creative way. Just play the game for what it is, but that's my opinion and I would never take away from someone else's.

    The characters are voiced competently and feel well rounded enough to pass. The performances can feel a little phoned in at times, although some examples shine through. There are moments when it feels like a game, as in collect this, go there, do this, come back. But that is to be expected. Overall it's fun and I have very much enjoyed it.

    TLDR; the game is fun and immersive. Can feel gamey at times, but doesn't dampen the experience as the gamey stuff isn't essential. The best way to experience the world of wizarding world.    … Expand

JK Rowling has no involvement in the game but the staff and devs that created this masterclass in open world rpg storytelling did a fantastic job.     Outstanding game so far, I am not a huge Harry Potter fan but have certainly seen the movies and this RPG definitely makes you feel like you are playing in the world represented there. Combat is fun, voice acting is good, experiences seem varied, and graphics are good. The overall package is excellent.

All these newfangled political views and the flow of feces due to other people's views can only harm the development of the world.     The game is fun, something rare in this medium where everything is full of political propaganda and progressive agendas, while the story progresses you are immersed more in that world and without a doubt I would dare to say that it is one of the best open world games

    A fun, just enough challenging, game that has not forgotten its young adult mystery roots. It got my son into this universe that grew up with me. Just a great game. Only weakness is that it would be better as a AAA game with way more interactivity

    After playing this game on both consoles the PS5 version is superior with the extra stuff and the performance , amazing game and well worth it at full price. Anyone that loves open world games should pick this up you won't regret it so much to explore and discover and the combat is great.

    Wow.. the story was amazing. The combat felt awesome. Flying on the broomstick was fantastic. The way you learn spells. Hogwarts itself was made absolutely perfectly. Hogsmead and the Forbidden Forest. To the outside areas away from Hogwarts. Fantastically made game.

    An amazing and immersive game. A valid contender for the Game of the year. Main strengths: gameplay and combat system, story line and characters. Considering that is an open-world game I didn't come across many bugs or glitches. It is a wonderful foundation for future DLC and updates.

    It's been a decade since we've had a full Potterverse game, but the wait has been well worth it. Hogwarts Legacy gets just about everything right, with its involving storyline and myriad of main and side quests. Perhaps its finest feature though is Hogwarts itself, providing as much joy in just exploring the halls as performing set tasks. We doubt a single Harry Potter fan will be disappointed. We certainly weren't.
