    Hogwarts Legacy is a breath of fresh air in the begining of a 2023 with no relevant games coming out, it can deliver several hours of immersive and addictive gameplay, they promisse immersion and they delivered flawlessly. The story is not the most complicated or well writen, it may have some plot holes.     A must for any Harry Potter fan, it is incredibly faithful to what has been seen before, it transports you to a magical world.

    The problem is in all the side quests, they are very very very very repetitive, you will end up hating Merlin's trials.

    As a long time Harry Potter fan and as some one who grew up with the books and watched the movies as they came out into theaters I am obligated to give my review on this game that has caused a certain group of people to loss there minds because they don't agree with what the creator of Harry Potter believes. Besides that the game has everything you want in a Harry Potter RPG good world building, a fluid combt system, interesting side quests and the world as well as Hogwarts its self is very large and well designed. It makes you feel like you've been transported into the Wizarding world Now there are a few flaws for there is no such thing as a perfect game. First while the game has a character creater it is not go into nearly as detailed as ones like Wo long fallen dynasty or Nigh 2 but that's not a problem I am probably nitpicking because I can't find many problems Because there are more things I enjoyed in Hogwarts Legacy then things I did not enjoy. The compain side quests are one of my favorite things about this because the companies and there story lines were woven into the main plot as were the classes where I had to learn specific spells and skills before progressing while also doing side content if I wanted to In conclusion this is the best game for those who are starting into gaming because of its easy going and more relaxed at times structure and easy to learn mechanics also any Harry Potter fan will enjoy this game

    This is one of the best adaptations of a film/book franchise into video games. Right up there with Star Wars Knights of the old Republic and the Arkham series.     Gameplay macht spass und die Grafik sieht super aus. Wenig bugs im Spiel oder mir sind wenig aufgefallen. Die Charakteranpassungen, das Kämpfen und die Welt an sich finde ich am besten!
    Meiner Meinung hat es aber zu viele Truhen und Rätsel im Spiel die sich stark wiederholen, was mich ein wenig genervt hat. Hätte mir hier mehr Diversität gewünsch    tolles Spiel wo ich rund 60h gezokkt habe.

The main plot is creative, maybe not so dark and adult, but remember HP universe is family friendly. Gameplay is much better than I think before bought the game. We have almost 25 spells and combos are really fun. Additional points for role playing possibility, but I won't spoil the game.… Expand

    Sadly, the game is plagued with an unnessesary/empty open world, an uninteresting story/protagonist with a frankly weird pacing, more than I could count visual/game breaking bugs and glitches. (One had me reload a prior save file because a dungeon would not load properly). Another thing that really annoyed the heck out of me were the same 5-6 lines that were repeated over and over and over again all game long. (You'll get what I'm saying right away if you play the game). Still a great game. If you like Harry Potter/Fantastic beasts, it's an absolute must. Completionists P.S: aaaaa drag, the words "Merlin Trials" will make you want throw up.    … Expand

    I’ve been playing video games since the early 80s and it’s rare that a game impresses me this much right off the bat. HL has done that and more: top-notch story, next-gen graphics, pro dialogue, music worthy of a John Williams nod, great controls, leveling up, gameplay options,… the game is basically perfect. I highly recommended if you’re into adventure of the wizard of kind!

    Absolutely stunning world with an amazing story, although some of the companion questlines don't feel as well fleshed out as others. Combat is fun but controls somewhat clunky. The content outside of the main story was not very entertaining. The gap between beating the final boss and finishing the main quest line was so tiring I almost put the game down before finishing it.

    I thought Hogwarts Legacy was really good. I felt immersed in the world, something you don't get from the movies. Towards the end I got bored though, because of the the repetitive gameplay. The story could of been better but the visuals were top notch. I found myself stopping to admire the world around me, it was absolute eye candy.

    I've been a gamer for a little over 20 years and I've never had a "favorite game" until now. Hogwarts legacy is a dream come true and my all time favorite video game. Everything it does, it does it perfectly. It keeps getting better and better the more you play. Graphics, music, animations, gameplay mechanics, exploration, story, mini games, dungeons, etc. This game has it all and it'sI've been a gamer for a little over 20 years and I've never had a "favorite game" until now. Hogwarts legacy is a dream come true and my all time favorite video game. Everything it does, it does it perfectly. It keeps getting better and better the more you play.     Its so fun to roam the world and explore everything it has to offer. So many challenges and side quests.
    The atmosphere is top, it feels like I’m following a Harry Potter story.

Le titre ne résume pas simplement qu'à l'école de Poudlar. La Map reprend le rythme de l'ensemble de la Saga Harry Potter pour offrir une immersion la plus possible. Les graphiques sont appliquées, réussis et les personnages sont incroyablement bien réaliste. L'interface demande une certaine étude en elle-même. Propre à elle, les possibilités de personnalisé les sorts, potions et équipement sont équilibré mais nécessite une certaine adaptation.

    Beaucoup de facultés propre à la sorcellerie se découvre au file de l'expérience.

    Le travail en générale est d'une réussite légendaire. Les symboles, les décors vous propose introspection et un travail en soi en quête du language perdu.

    L'ambiance au cours de l'expérience est saisissante et sera rendre le titre à la hauteur des attentes.

    Ce titre ne vous laissera pas indifférent, que ce soit néophyte des Oeuvres cinématographique et ouvrages ou érudit de la thématique.

    Cet expérience video-ludique vous plongera dans l'utopie ultime de Poudlar et des environs.

    Game Of The Year 2023? C'est un peu la suite à expérimenté après avoir vécu Elden Ring. Vous serez par contre inévitablement un sorcier pour certains ou un mage pour d'autres. Par contre pour un GOTY, il faudra faire preuve de surprises aux joueurs par l'ajout de plusieurs autres possibilités. Quoi qu'il en soit ce titre sera certainement nommé. Bonne expérience à vous.

The art direction within the school is truly remarkable, capturing the essence and magic of Hogwarts perfectly.     One of my favorite aspects of the game was the ability to soar through the skies on a mount, engaging in exhilarating battles against goblins with my trusty magic wand. The combat mechanics were surprisingly enjoyable, proving that fighting with a wand can be incredibly entertaining. It exceeded my expectations!

    While the story may not be mind-blowing, it is definitely satisfying. I've discovered so much about Hogwarts through this game, and it has truly expanded my knowledge and appreciation for the Wizarding World. With all its fantastic elements, I wouldn't be surprised if Hogwarts Legacy becomes a strong contender for the title of "Game of the Year" in 2023.    … Expand

    As someone who's always been into the Harry Potter universe and who longed for new games regarding this, I was still surprised at how well it came out.

    Hogwarts Legacy is definitely the most immersive HP experience that you can get today, I have finished the game at around 50 hours but there were still things to do around the map if I desired.     PROS:

    - Immersive well established universe

    - A lot of attention to details, Hogwarts feels alive and it's a pleasure to walk through the halls and take it all in

    - You get to have the student experience, attend classes, go to Hogsmeade, all the things you've always wanted to do in this universe

    - The game is set 100 years before the HP events ( meaning that you won't get to see any HP characters but you do find some ancestors around the castle), however it manages to quickly gain your attention and make you forget about the initial HP story that you perhaps expect

    - Combat is better than I anticipated, making combos out of spells is really fun - A lot of extra activities, side quests, puzzles, you even get your own designable space with multiple outdoor places for the beasts you collect

    - Flying on a broom or mount feels satisfying - You can customize your look to your preference no matter what you have equiped

    CONS:

    - Side characters feel kinda weak, the professors are definitely the most interesting ones and it's a shame they aren't involved into the story/quests more often

    - Story is okay but won't blow you away, the main villains aren't as iconic as Voldemort but they get the job done

    - Main character and the fast travel lady sometimes repeat the same things way too often when entering certain places

    - Personally I would've enjoyed more action/content inside Hogwarts and in the Forbidden forest as those are the most mesmerizing attractions -Quidditch would've been nice but I can understand why implementing all the systems for that could be quite consuming, hopefully in a DLC or future game

    Overall strongly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of the HP Universe and wants to roleplay as a Hogwarts student    … Expand

I really enjoy the gameplay, world has alot of attention to detail, I enjoy some of the side characters alot, I like the transmog system, and it's a very enjoyable experience for anyone who likes WW. Also I like that it isn't a 60 hour bloat fest to complete the main story, solid 20-30 to beat the main story while experiencing alot of what the game has to offer, but it also offers content to play and get in plenty of playtime if you want.
    Its downsides for me are the story in terms of the layers and RPG aspects, it really lacks in those areas, its held up by strong characters and a very captivating world but a really barebones story. I also think it could've had a much better end game villain or one that was more fleshed out because they kinda dropped the ball there.    … Expand

    Such an awesome game! Basically nothing bad to say about it other then performance is iffy on PC. First game I've pre ordered in years, and glad I did because it was well worth it. Don't listen to all the hateful idiots out there, buy the game, you won't be disappointed

    Liking the game after 10 hours, combat is good (playing on hard), enjoy collecting stuff and finding secrets. Graphics are pretty good running on a 3080TI, don't play RT but everything else is on ULTRA. The game has the same looks from the movies. Great game overall so far, and also enjoying the tears from all the bashing people are trying to do to the game and failing...

    Pre-ordered it for my girlfriend. She stopped playing cause clothes/gears are not pretty enough. So i am playing it with ugly af clothes. My character looks hidious as well. Game is good, fantastic graphics.

    I don't know how anyone in their right mind could rate this below an 8. By no metric imaginable could this be rated as anything less than good. I think for what it was, knowing the delicate balance of re-creating a time-honored universe while making a good game.....it hit the mark beyond anything MOST of us could have imagined and should have expected.     I haven't played a game this good since Red dead redemption 2. The story is great, and some of the side stories are even better than the Ranrok story. There's tons of collectible achievements to do, and the castle is just beautiful. So much attention to detail inside the castle. I don't care what the people who believe JK Rowling is a bad person say about this game, because she's already a zillionaire and so it makes no difference, and all of those people are just ridiculous enough to believe cancel culture and not actually do any research for themselves. I honestly think that the little visual glitches and stuff at launch are fine due to the fact that this, yet again, is Avalanche, so it's going to have some issues, and since there is a site dedicated to report bugs on the first page of the game's website, they should absolutely have all the bugs fixed within the first month with ease. I think that if the game gets a nice dlc to build playerbase, then it can keep that already massive playerbase for even longer than any other open world games. For a massive fan of the franchise (the books in particular) it is a dream come true and I recommend it to anyone who is, or ever has been a fan of the books/movies (but mainly the books since that's what they based the castle design off of).

I got the deluxe game for her as a present, and after watching her play it for a bit, I went out and got a 2nd PS5 and got myself the deluxe edition as well.     you have to run through a castle most of the game, and talk to people and do boring things and collect stuff that I don't even know the use of
    the battles are 99% the same. the bosses are just stronger versions of a wizard
    Trials are all the same, but with different (admittedly beautiful) graphics
    I have played almost 15 hours and still feel like in I'm tutorial.

    Absolutely brilliant, immersive world that gives you same experience as the book with more freedom. Combat system is something completely unique and satisfying experience. Could say so much more good about it but I only want to rate the game to balance the 0's by trolls. Definitely best rpg experience I had since witcher 3, the game has so much to offer

    Very good game, but the story lacks excitement. It seems like a side quest that goes a long way. If you love harry potter you will love this game, but a lot of potential was wasted here, with a very good story, the game is a 10/10.

    Everything you could have hoped for aside from a mediocre story and weak characters. The main bad goblin should’ve been more political and shadowy instead of the lazy big bad orc. The characters a really soft. Some student rivalries would’ve been nice. They treaded lightly. Hopefully they take more risks in the future. Could’ve been a 10 but got in their own way

The animals, the mechanics, the quest, the fidelity with the lore, the fighting... If you thought that battling with a wand would be something boring... well, it isn`t. AWESOME game!

But overall the story seems to be nothing too special.
    There are some things I wish the game would have handeled on another way. The atmosphere is sometimes off. In the nights noone is in the corridors, which makes sense, everyone should sleep, but when you go to your house room noone is in the beds, where are all the students? Sometimes there are house elves working and vanishing, when they see you, which just shows how much effort they put into details, but then, things that should have been discovered as obvious flaws still exists. I wish most of them would sleep, some reading or anything, but at least existing in the nights. It would have been also a nice feature if the Professors or the landlord would watch for students in the corridors at night and give them a penalty or something to make the player more likely to sleep or wait as well. But you can't sleep eather. Non hittable NPCs are not reacting at all if you shoot spells at them, at least one phrase like "What are you doing?" would have been great to stay in the illusion of beeing a real Hogwarts student. Some are some small flaws that destroys the atmosphere a bit.

    The combat system is just great, first I was sceptical about shooting spells around me. I thought it looked lame and not hard enough in the trailers. But it actually makes a lot of fun. It isn't really hard but not too easy, but I think the difficulty is just great balanced. Overall there are some flaws and also the game has some critical performance issues at the moment, but it still is a great game for all Harry Potter fans and a quite good open-worls roleplay game.

    I hope they will add Quittich DLC in the future or even maks a sequel game which allows the developers to learn from their mistakes and make a game even better. Not a must-play title, but still quite a solid experience. Especially recommended for all Harry Potter Fans, but also non Fans could enjoy the experience.    … Expand

That being said, there are "flavor chatter" that is heavily repeated all the time, and can be annoying.The game could be a little more polished, and has several bugs to be fixed.

Pois bem, eu, que só vi os filmes de Harry Potter, mas não sou fã, confesso que fiquei empolgado com esse lançamento!

    O jogo se passa no universo de Harry Potter, onde o jogador é um
    estudante da escola de magia e bruxaria mais famosa do mundo. A primeira coisa
    que me chamou a atenção foi a possibilidade de criar o próprio personagem e
    escolher a casa em que ele vai estudar. Eu fiquei dividido entre a Grifinória e
    a Sonserina, mas acabei escolhendo Sonserina, afinal, queria saber mais sobre o
    "lado negro".

    A partir daí, o jogo começa a desenrolar com uma história
    própria, mas que se encaixa perfeitamente no universo criado por J.K. Rowling.
    O gráfico é incrível e a imersão é total. Você se sente realmente em Hogwarts,
    com direito a passeios pelo castelo, aulas de poções e duelos com outros
    alunos.

    Aliás, os duelos foram uma das partes que mais gostei. O estilo
    free-flow que vem da série Batman Arkham funciona perfeitamente aqui, e mostra o
    quanto ele pode ser divertido e funcionar para qualquer tipo de tema, os duelos
    em Hogwarts Legacy são bem divertidos e desafiadores, é preciso usar estratégia
    para vencer os adversários e é muito satisfatório quando conseguimos acertar um
    feitiço bem colocado. Elelementos de Zelda na exploração e uso da magia também funcionam perfeitamente aqui sendo usados pra resolução de puzzles e combate, assim como a construção de mundo e das quests, que tem muita semelhança com a construção de mundo em The Witcher 3, mesmo não tendo quests tão elaboradas quanto sua inspiração.

    Agora, falando sério, eu sei que muita gente está em dúvida se deve
    ou não jogar Hogwarts Legacy, devido à polêmica envolvendo a autora J.K.
    Rowling. Eu também não concordo com as opiniões dela, mas acho que cada um deve
    seguir o seu coração. Se você é fã de Harry Potter e está com vontade de jogar,
    vá em frente. Eu, que não sou fã, já estou me divertindo bastante. E se você
    decidir não jogar, também é uma escolha válida. O importante é respeitar as
    opiniões uns dos outros e lembrar que, no fim das contas, a magia de Hogwarts
    sempre vai estar presente em nossos corações.

I'll admit that the gameplay trailer from a year ago made me a bit nervous for thinking the developers were to ambitious in showing how much they put into the game and they wouldn't be able to live up to the hype that was built up. Safe to say that they delivered on everything they promised and even more than so. This game just kept on giving and giving. A huge world the explore with a lot of tiny details everywhere, attending classes to learn new spells and meeting other students with unique stories. The overall story is really captivating and interesting and follows the themes of the books and movies with a lot of mystery and intrigue. The characters, while not the most super interesting bunch like Mass Effect, they are interesting enough for you to actually care about and want to learn more them. The attention to detail the developers put into this title is absolutely crazy; said many times to myself that they didn't have to go that far, but they did it anyway. Tiny details like a student floating in the halls while his 2 classmates in panic trying to help him down. 2 armours standing next to each other and doesn't get along and one of them beats the crap out the other. Visiting Hogsmeade and enter Zonkos or Honeydukes, these stores serve no purpose what so ever to the story or any side mission but you can visit them and interact with stuff on the inside. Walking down the halls of the school and every student talking with one another about different subjects or experiences really added a lot to make the world feel more alive. Even side characters you join up and help can appear in the halls and say something random to you. Not a single AI or NPC felt like a face put there just to populate the world, they felt like real characters. Even Peeves shows up here and there to prank students. Gameplay is immensely fun, weaponwheel usage to attach spells of your liking and all grouped as different colour for different usage. You even get to learn unforgivable curses if you so wish. Spells could also be used for puzzle solving and many puzzles left me scratching my head for how tricky it was to solve them. Customisation is crazy, so many pieces of clothing to make your character look however you want with the added option to pick a clothing item with good stats and change it's appearance to whatever you want. With no microtransactions at all! (bless you developers for not adding it) If I have to nitpick a little bit, there were very few options to customize your wand, I personally wanted one to look similar to Sirius Black's but couldn't. There's no Quidditch (though I understand why the developers didn't design a side mission type for it). There's no inventory storage wich is a bit annoying of you want to keep certain cosmetics. But none of these nitpicks took away from the overall experience I had a big smile on my face throughout my 52 hours it took for me to beat this game. I rate this game 10/10, near perfection. This is a game made by fans, for fans. If you love Harry Potter, I urge you to pick this title up, you won't regret it. I can't wait to jump back into this title to see what else I can do differently, choosing another house and going for different dialouge options just to see what else I missed. I really hope for a sequel, a trilogy even. And next, maybe ad an option to become an animagus, learn the Patronus charm to fight dementors or even visit London and Diagon Alley for some unique missions.… Expand

    This game was absolutely worth the wait. Very good gameplay, interesting story, graphics, details. I highly recommend this game to everyone, even the ones who are not really Harry Potter fans, as myself. It's very fun, you just don't want to quit playing it.

    Haven't enjoyed playing a game this much since being a kid. Truly magical and immersive world, gorgeous art and graphics. Absolutely one of a kind. Hope we get more Wizarding World games in future.

    Hogsmeade haunted house dlc mission , oh boy. Unforgettable visual hallucinations ever played ,its like a homage to hearts of stone gaunter o'dimm world. The combat mechanics are excellent , tough enemies, especially last battle .     I’ve been really enjoying this game, as a non Harry Potter fan who knows nothing. I’ve been enjoying the world and gameplay. It's very addictive and one of few games in the last couple of years that is feature complete.

    The Siorna R. character however is probably my least enjoyable writing for a trans character in a game that I've seen. I think Cyberpunk 2077 and The Last of Us Part II    I’ve been really enjoying this game, as a non Harry Potter fan who knows nothing. I’ve been enjoying the world and gameplay. It's very addictive and one of few games in the last couple of years that is feature complete.

    8 hours in and I am sold. It feels like coming home to a long lost friend. I appreciate the level of detail and love for the IP that is prelevant throughout.

    The world created in this game is amazing, full with details and references of the source material. It truly feels magical just wondering around Hogwarts and its grounds. It is definitely a great game to play specially if you are a Harry Potter fan. The only issue I have experienced is with its performance, something a suppose will be fixed with future updates.

    This game is all that fans wanted for years and they finally got it. Amazing and massive open world game in wizarding world as a student attending Hogwarts. Music is amazing. Combat is smooth and enjoyable. Visuals and environment are crazy detailed and biggest selling point of this game. Story is not fantastic but its still very good.     I just managed to finish this game. It’s an amazing game with great graphics. It has an engaging story but there are room for improvements. The castle and the forbidden forest were identical to the movies. Overall, it should be 9.5 out of 10 for me. Definitely recommend this game.

    Hogwarts Legacy has a great character design and could have had a great story too but the story is not so strong. the gameplay feels great and exploration is so entertaining. visually its great and Hogwarts castle is so detailed.

    Hogwarts Legacy is definitely a beautiful-looking game that doesn't have a groundbreaking story, but does have a beautiful world, a fun combat system, broomstick flying, and of course an incredible amount of side quests and missions. [Issue#325]

    It's been a decade since we've had a full Potterverse game, but the wait has been well worth it. Hogwarts Legacy gets just about everything right, with its involving storyline and myriad of main and side quests. Perhaps its finest feature though is Hogwarts itself, providing as much joy in just exploring the halls as performing set tasks. We doubt a single Harry Potter fan will be disappointed. We certainly weren't.
