    I'm not a huge Harry Potter fan, but this games has really kindled my interested in the universe. It is an immersive and well crafted single player experience.

    Great characters, excellent story, and enjoyable combat. I wish you could engage more with the NPCs but that’s a minor issue. The game really makes you feel like you are at Hogwarts. I highly recommend it.

    In the last year I have played and beaten Elden Ring, GoW Ragnarok, and Horizon FW - this game is as good as they are on every level - even more so if you’re a fan of the Harry Potter Universe. Incredible visuals and details, solid story (so far), and a really fun combat system. My only gripe is that I can’t sit in the chairs just to relax and take it all in!     A Masterpiece the amount of details in every frame is phenomenal its a faithfully recreated version of the world in harry potter can't wait for even more sequels from Avalanche.

    Fantastic game, not perfect, but quite close. A generously sized open world with a tonne of detail, rich visuals and design. Good character customization and clothing/gear. Decent dialog, story and fan service. Good music and SFX, a lot of collectibles which aren't completely dull and add something (like your customizable room of requirement) plus animal riding and beast taming reminiscentFantastic game, not perfect, but quite close.     I am a 33 year old father of a young 1 year old and playing this game made me relive my childhoods dreams. If you grew up around The Harry Potter books/movies or not this is top tier best in class games of the past decade. Worth every dollar and I paid for deluxe edition!

    Loved this game!!! hits right in the nostalgia :) … Awesome world budling; perfect gameplay, some lil bugs here and there, nothing to really complain about. It is not the best story, but it works and I really want to see more of it.

    Game made me feel things I haven't since Skyrim - I whole heartedly applaude the dev team and writers, hope to see tons of DLC in the future. This is a sign to AAA developers that were more than happy buying games, so long as they're finished at release.     I have never been much of a Harry Potter fan. I think it was a little bit past my time. But this game intrigued me because I like open world RPGs. I have only been in for a few days but they really nailed it here. The story is good. The fighting mechanics are very well done. The map is dense and feels very alive.     I completely adore this game. Anyone who enjoys the wizarding world and enjoys open world games shouldn't hesitate to buy this. The dev team have overall done an incredible job. Negatives are the voice for the male characters sound robotic if you adjust the pitch at all and then if you open a chest and your inventory is full, the item just disappears permanently. Would be nice to have aI completely adore this game. Anyone who enjoys the wizarding world and enjoys open world games shouldn't hesitate to buy this.     Really really enjoyed the game. I’ve completed main story, I still have some side quests to do but very happy with it. Only thing I’d like is a morality system, there isn’t really any repercussion for using dark arts

Я принципиально против что бы ЛГБТ лезли в мою жизнь, что бы они диктовали разработчикам какие игры они должны делать, я против сцен однополой любви в играх, которые я играю. Почему меня и моих детей заставляют это смотреть? Я в таком случае хочу что бы на играх писали что есть сценыИгра просто шикарная.     Ridiculously fun game which is an absolute masterpiece. The gameplay is very well designed, balanced and feels very satisfying. The world is crafted with so much detail and lore. It is filled to the brim with charm and delight around every corner.
    Definitely a must have for Harry Potter fans and for non Harry Potter fans! Will probably go down as one of my favorite games of all time!

    The most fun I've had in a while with this game. The story is absolutely amazing especially if you're a fan of the series and the gameplay itself is super fun and easy to learn. The secrets and puzzles are fun and worth collecting. I can't help but give this game much praise.     Character customization is a bit lacking but the in game customization and items to pick up makes up for it in my opinion.

    I had no interest in the Harry Potter series and in fact kind of disliked it/ dreaded it before this game and now I must see all of the movies and read the books. It's really THAT good

    In short, I've never been a fan of this Universe. I didn't grow up with Harry Potter and I'm surprised that I can't tear myself away from this game ... everything just played ... I'm already after 20 hours and the end is not in sight ... I'm very pleasantly surprised and recommend it even to non-fans.

    Amazing game, great characters, wonderful atmosphere and tons of magic behind every door and corner.
    Some glitches here and there, but nothing to bad, minor cosmetic issue, I sure will be fixed soon.

    Its really good. Graphics, gameplay, the open world, everything feels really good. The only reason its not a 10/10 is cause in direct comparison god of war for example felt EVEN greater. Not to take anything away from this game its still absolutely fantastic.

    This game is good. There may be a certain subgroup that doesn’t want you to enjoy it because of the reasonable and valid opinions of a real woman. Clearly they have overplayed their hand and overestimated their influence. I bought a copy for myself and bought 5 other copies and gifted them to friends. JK Rowling was right.

    I know basically nothing about Harry Potter but this game is a blast. I bought it because I was hearing about some controversy around it so, like everyone knows, where there's controversy, there's a great game!! This one did not disappoint!! Only con was that it's a little pricey and the Xbox One version isn't available at launch.

    Amazing game. This is coming from someone that never really got on the HP bandwagon. The world, quests, lore and battle system are all great. I do find it pretty easy once you get a wide variety of spells so you may want to bump it to hard later in the game.

    The one missed opportunity is the lack of enemy variety. I felt like I was fighting the same 5 things the entire first half the    Amazing game. Everything feels like it comes from a world of magic from architecture to enemies to the countryside. The game mechanics are very good as well, including the crafting systems, level designs, and most importantly, the combat, which manages to flow quite well despite being entirely range based. The diversity of spells that can combo off one another allow you to take a unique approach to fights, plus the combat potions can help change your strategy to a significant degree. Perhaps the thing the game does best is how it invites you to explore the world and castle. There are dozens of puzzles tucked away in Hogwarts, secret passages, statues with secret functions, treasures to be found, and moving paintings all over the place. The side quests around the castle aren't fetch quests by any means, they usually task you with searching for something and, well, fetching it, but the process of finding the object is almost always a pleasure because directions are vague. For example, you might be told to search in "high places". Hogwarts Legacy also has a really unique way of contrasting your time in the castle, which is fun, exciting and wondrous with the open world exploration which is more mature, harrowing, and dangerous. There are poachers and monsters all over, hamlet's are being broken apart by grief as the goblin rebellion hurts literally everyone, even goblins. I'm not done with the game yet, but the motivation for most goblins to join the rebellion seems to be that witches wizards aren't nice to them sometimes, which is a bit weak. It's not as if they are enslaved like house elves. Finally, the game at present has a few bugs that will pop up now and then, things like a prop floating in the air after you just blasted it away, or a character model stuttering as it tries to open a door. The worst bug I have encountered occured when I was swimming in a cave and tried to exit the water onto the land. My character decided it was still in the water and floated right on up to the ceiling and got stuck. I just had to fast travel away and reset, not a big deal. I'm conclusion, if you want a really unique gaming experience this is a terrific option, as there is literally nothing like this in terms of combat, world design and writing. Some of the story elements are a bit less well thought out than others and are a bit silly, and there are some small bugs but nothing game breaking. And if you are a Harry Potter fan, just a word of advice, choose Hufflepuff. Trust me, you won't regret it.… Expand

    Hogwarts Legacy obviously does not exist in a vacuum, and as much as many might want to, it cannot be separated from the context surrounding its release. But while there’s no right answer when it comes to how you should choose to engage with something that is so intrinsically tied to J.K. Rowling – every person will have to make that decision for themselves – the game itself has a lot to offer, the majority of which is impressive in its execution. Though not without design and story issues of its own, Hogwarts Legacy ultimately comes across as a densely packed and well-made RPG that fans of the Harry Potter universe will find incredibly easy to enjoy.    … Expand

    Didn't hear about this game until about a month ago but I felt myself being drawn towards it and its creator, JK Rowling, for some reason. I pre-ordered the deluixe edition and eagerly jumped in when it became available with the 72 hours early access and I must say it is very much my kind of game. Everything about is simply amazing - the world, the atmosphere, the sounds, the soundtrack, the characters, the freedom man I could go on and on. Only minor issues I have is that I would’ve loved to dive underwater and meet the Sirens and even though I don’t care much about Quidditch IWhat a BLAST this game is wow!     Honestly it's an 8.5 out of 10, at best. But I'm giving it a 10 to offset all the losers review bombing this game. First off, it's no where near the level of quality set by Red Dead Redemption 2. It's more akin to Zelda games, specifically Breath of the Wild. Combat is satisfying, original, and unique. Swimming is clunky and needs more work.     Keep politics out of gaming. This game does it great. You pick who you want to be and create your own character. You can even be a male character a boy with a big ol winky who if they wish can identify as a witch and vice versa. And they call this game transphobic. Graphics are amazing too and exciting gameplay. Trolls, goblins, monsters.

    The game beautifully captures the look and feel of being a student at hogwarts in the late 1800’s. While some bugs persist, they’re nothing a few quick patches can’t fix, plus there was nothing game breaking.     Not a Harry Potter fan. I have just seen the first movies few days ago, but boy oh boy this game is fun. I love the magic combos you can do and exploring the open worlds is so fascinating and rewarding. Pretty much a complete game. A bit too much chat sometimes and going from point A to point B and some dungeons can get boring but still a great game overall I would give a solid 9.

I tried like hell to enjoy Kingdom Hearts, but accepting Goofy and Donald duck as "warriors" made my skin crawl.

    It’s the Harry Potter game I’ve been waiting for since I saw the first movie and played the first game! As a 30 year old man, it makes me feel like I’m 10 again! So much magic and so many places to explore you’ll never get bored. 80 hours could easily be dropped on just exploring the surrounding valley Hogwarts is in. A rare 10/10 for me.

The developer went out of their way to make sure that this world felt alive, and was true to both the movies and books, and to Harry Potter fans who have been waiting for a Harry Potter RPG there are some aspects that could be improved like flying. For example, the controls are hard to control, the lack of consequences specifically to whether or not, you use the unforgivable curses or go down the dark path. There are interesting characters along the way that you meet some old some new some who are even ancestors to the original characters. Overall, this game is a great first step of an RPG based in the Wizarding world I’m expecting there will probably be DLC to add to this game. That’ll probably improve it along the way not to mention that this game has sold even before release I would say in my opinion it’s definitely a game of the year contender and I wouldn’t be surprised if they were to make a sequel to this, so I would give this a 9 out of 10 very very great game not perfect but no game is ever perfect… Expand

    Overall, the game is a 10/10, I do however have to mention that the game does have small bugs in it. Which is something to be expected in a big open world game like this. But I believe with a few patches from the developers can easily fix those small bugs. But it doesn't ruin the overall experience of the game whatsoever.

    Hogwarts Legacy clearly deserve the Game of the Year for 2023. And it's worth it to pick up if you are a fan of Harry Potter, even if you are not a fan, it's still worth to play it for how big and expansive the game is.    … Expand

    Top 5 game all time in my 35 years of gaming. The crafting and cosmetics are present and fun but not convoluted or overemphasized. A few combat elements could benefit from a patch, but tons of fun in it's current state on PS5.

    Hogwarts Legacy is like my dream came true. I read Harry Potter first book back in 1998 before the first movie even came out. Since then, I've been wanting Harry Potter RPG where I can visit the bank, visit the town, browse wands, potion, cloak, brooms, etc, visiting hostile area outside school, dueling other wizards/witches
    All of that element are exist in this game and I'm loving it

    I only saw the first movie 20 years ago. I'm not a Harry Potter fan, but I have nothing against it. I bought this game due to the FOMO and yeah it's pretty amazing so far. Everything about it so far is well done and it actually makes me want to watch the movies finally. I'd love to see a Star Wars Jedi/Sith game in this style. Hopefully this game's success inspires that.

    I think the game is great. It has lagging, absolute **** story, and a lot of other issues but i think it just is really good. I haven't even gotten a broom yet, and i can for sure say the world is great. There is a lot to do in between main quests, which is great. Overall good, has issues, some of which may still be fixed later.

    This is the quintessential Harry Potter game. It's the Jedi Fallen Order or Insomniac Spider-man of Harry potter games. It plays pristine, is incredibly detailed and expansive, and combat is sooo fun. And this is before it even launched. Props to the *DEVS* not (she who shall not be named)

    Phenomenal game. Not only is this fan service at its finest. It takes elements from games such as the Witcher, Bully, and Elder Scrolls. If you add in everything that you can do in the Room of requirement then I would be tempted to even say stardew valley. GOTY nominee for sure

    Brilliant story, characters and world. This game supports the transgender community by adding one of the first trans characters to appear I'm video games and all gender settings are removed from character creation for Inclusivity.

    The game that every Wizarding World fan has wanted. It has areas to improve but for the game to come out on day 1 and perform like this takes me back to when we got complete games out of the box. A lot more can be added in sequels but this game knows what it is and hits the mark.

    Truly a wonderful game and a fresh take on the wizard inc world. Plenty of callbacks to the stories we know while trying to distinguish itself from the movies with original design. I love playing it

    I never liked the Harry Potter books or movies. That said, this is good solid game. The hogwarts setting which I thought would be the main turn off for me is actually quite interesting to play through. Fun gameplay, interesting story, great music, exciting exploration. Only gripe I have is flying mechanics are kinda wonky to get used to.

    I am blown away by this game. It's not only the best game in the Harry Potter universe, it's a wonderful open-world game that even non-fans will have a great time with. The castle and the rest of the world are gorgeous, filled with secrets and magic, everything is constantly moving and there's always something to see or do. Some of the puzzles are great as well, the music is fantastic and flying on your broom or mount is almost therapeutic.

    It's not perfect, but I think there are no perfect games. The gear system is not good at all, some of the side quests are kind of dull but you don't have to do them unlike the recent Assassin's Creed games, so I would have given this game a 9/10. But Avalanche deserve nothing less than a 10 here for this achievement. This surely wasn't easy given their lack of experience with such games and the awful discourse around this proejct, including the boycott threats. But they've given everything they had, poured so much love into this, and somehow they exceeded the extremely high expectations fans had. This is truly a gaming miracle.

    JK Rowling is a horrible person, but the wizarding world is not hers alone anymore. It's the music of John Williams, the art design of Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima, the actors from the movies, and now to this mostly-amazing list join the people from Avalanche Software.     It's been a decade since we've had a full Potterverse game, but the wait has been well worth it. Hogwarts Legacy gets just about everything right, with its involving storyline and myriad of main and side quests. Perhaps its finest feature though is Hogwarts itself, providing as much joy in just exploring the halls as performing set tasks. We doubt a single Harry Potter fan will be disappointed. We certainly weren't.
