    What a joke! You have to be online to play single player? They release a new patch that halves rewards for coin to force you to buy more. Then to top it off the servers go down for 30hrs plus and make game unplayable??? Wow the greed. Did they employ someone from EA or Ubisoft to mastermind this?     I initially looked past the pretentious atmosphere. I always was dubious of the network requirement, dated list of cars, and artificial scarcity. Corporate greed ruined this one. Give it 6 months if you’re on the fence. There will be hundreds of copies in a $5 bin along with Battlefront 2 and Cyberpunk 2077.

    100 Euro für 25thAnni Version verlangen und dann noch so 'nen künstlichen Druck erzeugen für den Kauf der Ingame-Währung ist 'ne Frechheit. Die Preisgelder sind insgesamt zu niedrig angesetzt, da braucht keiner mit Langzeitmotivation kommen. Hätte ich gerade Zugang zu GT7 (Wartungsarbeiten dauern länger als geplant), dann hätte ich hier nichts geschrieben. Warum macht man hier den Fehler und kommuniziert den Status der Wartungsarbeiten nicht sauber und öfter? Die wenigsten Menschen haben Probleme damit wenn's länger dauert, aber ein regelmäßiges Feedback darf da nicht fehlen.

    Honestly the game is fantastic but spending 100€ on a “freemium” game (Anniversary Edition) with online only option is not acceptable. Since the pre longed maintenance was announced over 24h ago, PD stood radio silent. Please fix the MTX dependence and let us just enjoy the game!

Not only is this a very anti-consumer practice, the roulette tickets are also rigged to give you the crappiest reward 80% of the time. How is that a "roulette"?     MTX grindfest. Would be acceptable if this was free to play but I payed $70 for this. Not to mention, I bought the game and can't play the bulk of the game because they screwed up a patch. Stupid decision to make the game always online

    When it worked it was a great game however the requirement to be online to play just the single player mode means the game is completely unplayable when there's server maintenance.

    Requires always online, even for single player. when server is down, the game is unplayable. the whole game is made for MICROTRANSACTION. One Jaguar costs 12Mio. Cr. so you need to grind 22 to 26hrs. in races, or spend 120€/$ for ONE car. its ridiculous. worst policy I've ever seen. even worse than EA.

    I am so disappointed with this game. This is not a Gran Turismo game, this is a money grab, a soulless shell of the franchise and a piece of corporate crap.
    Bring back the career mode, bring back single player experience (always online is garbage!) or give me my money back. I feel I've been completely misled on what this game actually is.

    Bought the game over 24 hours ago. Haven't even been able to play because servers have been down the whole time, and they don't even let you play SINGLE PLAYER without a CONNECTION. I feel completely robbed, I wish I had bought a physical copy so I could get my money back. All excitement I had is gone after this joke of a technical issue.

They just released a patch to nerf race rewards and lengthen the grind because not enough people were buying their BS microtransactions, and this patch has caused the game's servers to be down for over 24 hours, rendering the game unplayable as 90% of its content requires an internet connection (including single player modes).     I never saw a game maintenance longer than a day. The game is just like a DLC of Gt sport but cost you $60. Also, you need to buy if you want the car, they reduce the awards of track to “motivate” you to buy credit through your credit card.

    No offline mode, no multiplayer if server is down. Disappointed!

    Absolutely Terrible idea from polyphony to have done 7 online only for gt sport i understand that it was online only as the whole idea behind that game was to be focused online but for a story mode based game like gran turismo 7 hell no i'm going back to forza 7 at least there we don't rely on the servers to play our game

    Its a game about collecting cars, yet in order to do so you basically have to say goodbye to your friends and loved ones for over a year to be able to actually complete that collection.     Youll have to cough up your soul to have a chance at ever completing this game.
    Or be wealthy enough to buy these cars in real life, and use this game to roleplay as yourself.
    Such a shame because the gameplay is actually really entertaining, but the studio turned this game into a horrible car accident you wish you were looking at from the opposite lane.

Brought me back to my youth with nostalgia racing at all these tracks again.     Primer GT que juego y esta siendo una decepcion! Gráficamente no me parece un escandalo, físicas meh, encima le añades una conexión PERMANENTE(que sin esa conexión y si los serv estan caídos estas jodio), mantenimiento durante 2 dias, micropagos...una "pseudocampaña" corta

Do not do a 24 hour maintenance, where no one can ever play your brand new game. This is unacceptable, for $70 premium purchase, I am dissatisfied with Sony, and polyphony, shame.

Imagine my surprise when I paid $90 to pre-order the 25th anniversary edition of GT7, foolishly expecting I'd receive a work of art I could fall in love with all over again like the earlier versions, only to discover that it's now nothing more than a thinly veiled con to swindle unsuspecting, avid fans and supporters out of their hard earned cash. I'm not sure if it's PD or Sony that's ruined this game for me and countless others, but you should ask be ashamed.

    You didn't even have to try for us to have loved GT7. We all wanted to love IT. You just had to do the absolute minimum. Instead you went out of your way to lure us in with trailers and hype and scooped us all up in your net of lies.

    Nerfing the payout for races to kill the grind, LYING about being able to sell our cars, even doubles and triples of the same car, creating fake scarcity for car supply to induce fomo, the god awful gacha roulette which doesn't even pretend to be remotely randomized...all for what? That's right, to see how many people say "screw it, I really want this $20 mill credit Ferrari and don't want to complete 400 races to buy it, let me get my credit card." Because getting $70+ from each of us wasn't enough. And thanks to your forced always online game mechanic, which serves literally no purpose, I got to spend my one day off this week staring at a black screen informing me your servers are down. I'm assuming you're beefing them up for the influx of chash deposits your expecting after update 1.07.

    To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. To say I'll ever buy another Gran Turismo game ever again would be a lie. I hope it was worth it. Good luck s̵t̵e̵a̵l̵i̵n̵g̵ making a ton of money from this one.    … Expand

    This is a just a polished copy of GT Sport released a few years ago with substandard online play. The game is focused on maximizing micro-transaction and they have purposely nerfed popular money grinding races in the release version of the game so that the payouts are low. You’re either going to have to work you a$$ off or prepare to pay in the form of micro transactions or else most cars will be unattainable. This game had a lot of potential and I’m sure several gamers like myself had a lot of hope from this game but it’s disappointed.     Drives like Gran Turismo, graphics are lovely, but as a game it is sooooooo bad. Clearly the design brief was "Get the player addicted, then periodically make the gameplay so annoying they will pay money to skip it." In other words, it's just a very expensive mobile-style money grab, constantly pushing the player into micro-transaction hell. Avoid at all costs.

    Lack of cars, pushing players towards mtx and 24 hour maintenance simply not good enough for a £69.99 title. I was really looking forward to jumping straight into races but I can't help but feel somewhat conned and the fact you basically can't play the game in an offline mode in this day and age is unacceptable.

However there should be an option to shut up the annoying NPCs completely. The grinding in the beginning is unnecessary. GT4 was good enough with the licences limiting the available races. It is not necessary to force people to use cars they do not want to drive.
    I am sorry for the absence of real endurance races. I hated the short races with tyre and fuel multipliers. They are back but they can not replace real endurance races. Apart from these pieces of **** and the mandatory races there are only 2 races with no multipliers. Daily races also most likely have them. On GT Sport only Daily Race C had them but in this ****load of a game Daily Race B tends to utilize them too. There are also cafe menu races with this **** The licences, missions and circuit experiences are another letdown. They are fairly easy (I had gold on less then the second time on average) but with the switches between different types of cars thanks to the improved handling model is very annoying. At the final test that kink before Blanchimont is a game breaker. Licences in GT4 were hard but fair and now they give us these easy tasks and trolling us in the end. It is also a shame this game can not be played offline.
    The microtransactions are just idiotic and the roulette tickets exist only to give you the smallest amount of money 90% of the time and so they can say there is a (1%) chance of "winning" a car.
    Also they fix one game breaking bug just to introduce another one with the patch.
    Overall the game is gorgeous and the gameplay is somewhat nostalgic. The driving is much better than GT Sport. However the annoying new features, the missing old ones and the bug introducing fixes make this game an unfinished abomination in between GT Sport and a real GT title. I hope future updates will introduce changes that can change my mind but for now GT3 and especially GT4 are way better in my opinion.

    Update: version 1.07/08 is even worse. Server was down for more than 30 hours and microtransations are encouraged after nerfing race rewards. And the only thing they do is making excuses. I do not feel motivated to play this game with the constant need to grind for credits.
    Update: just found out that online qualifiers do not count as distance driven. What the hell am I doing then? Hundreds of kilometers driven lost from my stats.
    Update: version 1.15: Online Time Trials added, but they do not count towards the daily workout (why should they?).

    I made a terrible mistake buying this game... Sure, the graphics are good and the physics it's nice, but the always online requirement to play single player and the introduced micro transactions totally kill the fun...
    I bought every gran turismo game so far, and this is the last game I'll buy from the series and from polyphonic...

    Don't waste your money on this.

    The game just force you to grind to buy any cars in the car dealers. The new patch just make this even worse by reduce the race winning prize money.
    Game requires always online for single player, and servers are constantly down for maintenance.

    Great graphics and some cool features with cool customizations on the cars but the fact that you make no money in races, cars and parts are ridiculously over priced like tires being 20k-40k and no newer cars for how new the game is is just crazy. Unfortunately I don't have a steering wheel set up so you are a disadvantage with a controller and if you want to gold all the missions and tests without being some sort of god at the game you ain't doing it.     Money issue was fixed, but the penalty system, especially in sport mode is completely broken. I've gotten penalties for other drivers hitting me. And I still think that they need to improve the money in the game. Since day one they said you'll be able to ask cars and as of 05/12/2022 you still can't sell cars. There is still about is things in the game they need to fix

    I bought the game because most reviewers said micro-transactions were not needed to progress and make money in the game to buy cars. It seems that Polyphony Digital waited until all reviews were out, then nerfed the amount of money you get per race. I generally do not like such practices and regret this purchase. This was my first Gran Turismo game and most likely my last.

    Great story mode that saves this from a 0, but Microtransactions is ruining the game for me. The story is also quite short and even tho this is my first GT game I beat it pretty easily on the hardest difficulty.

    The online stuff is one of the worst matchmaking experiences too.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
