    I’ve clocked in an in game time of 160+ hours since launch according to my profile stats.

    To be honest, the game was just barely acceptable for the first two weeks before update 1.07. I didn’t felt it was that bad at that time. The grind to get new car was already long enough at that time but I was convincing myself that it was perfectly normal since most GT games are like that. After    I’ve clocked in an in game time of 160+ hours since launch according to my profile stats.

    To be honest, the game was just barely acceptable for the first two weeks before update 1.07. I didn’t felt it was that bad at that time. The grind to get new car was already long enough at that time but I was convincing myself that it was perfectly normal since most GT games are like that.

    After update 1.07/1.08, I felt the pain and longer grind time that I didn’t feel like continuing the game even though I’m already at 97% trophy and one more last trophy to platinum the game. The game has gone from acceptable to a **** hell hole thanks to SONY and PD for being greedy. If they continue on with this after update 1.09. They’ll continue to lose the numbers of players and the game will die off pretty soon.    … Expand

    I voted 1 because the game is otherwise good.
    But indeed DRM/always online and the payouts just puts casual players off.
    This has to STOP! And rebelling should START now!

    As with all GT titles the gameplay, AI and graphics continue to improve with each iteration. As we have seen with many other games, greed has taken over every other aspect of the game. Microtransactions, terrible (worse than previous versions) grinding, not being able to sell cars, few races that are open AND competitive...Overall, I regret buying this game and I have owned every previousAs with all GT titles the gameplay, AI and graphics continue to improve with each iteration.     Riddled with an outrageous micro transaction scheme and gives you very little new content considering the gap between gt sport and this title. The physics are good but overall if the company doesn't change it up quickly they will lose a lot of players

    I bought an Xbox as my first new console for the first time this generation. I’ve returned to my PS4 for Gran Turismo 7 and I’m so disappointed. The value of Gamepass has made spending £60 on a game almost unbelievably extravagant and only my love for previous games (not Sport) convinced me it was worthwhile. Firstly I still love the detail, the information and various car related thingsI bought an Xbox as my first new console for the first time this generation. I’ve returned to my PS4 for Gran Turismo 7 and I’m so disappointed. The value of Gamepass has made spending £60 on a game almost unbelievably extravagant and only my love for previous games (not Sport) convinced me it was worthwhile. Firstly I still love the detail, the information and various car related things you can do to spend your time. I even like the way it still feels very similar to all the old GT games despite the talk of new super realistic tyres modelling etc. Being online only is an absolute disaster. I regularly finish a race only for it to say I’m offline (no issues with my Xbox on exactly the same network) and ignore any progress, what I’d really like is the return of the epic several hour long GT races but you could never do that with this system, it’s far too unreliable. So online only has to go for single player (I should have learnt after sport) The second thing is the sheer greed, I spent a lot of time with Forza Horizon 5 and while it does give things away far too easily that is much better than the (micro?) transactions Sony expect you to buy. There is so far very little value for money, it offers not much more than Sport for much more money then tries to pry more out of you to buy cars that were in the game at least a decade ago for much less. I think if Forza Motorsport is good that’ll be me done with Playstation, the reasons for buying a PS5 are pretty much 0 for me at the moment. They need to sort this quick but they don’t seem to realise it.… Expand

    I love the gameplay, but really. For $100 the newest cars are from 2017? Gran Turismo 7 can be so much better than that.. They also deceived their customers by making credit payouts abysmal. It'll take me 20+ hours of constant 100% clean racing to buy ONE legacy car... but, oh wait! You can just buy $40 worth of credits to buy the McLaren F1 you want on a video game you already spent $100I love the gameplay, but really. For $100 the newest cars are from 2017?     Gran Turismo played 1, 2, 6 and GTS, but 7 is less fun to tune a regular car and win the race. It was fun to win the roadster, but this time I'm disappointed that there is less content that can be played offline on the premise of online. It would be nice to add a car with DLC in a full-price game, but I feel that the credit charge is a little overkill. Isn't it unavoidable for theGran Turismo played 1, 2, 6 and GTS, but 7 is less fun to tune a regular car and win the race. The justification is “well that’s what updates are for”… no updates are for small tweaks and issues that happen over time, not to reformat the entire game because it’s a disaster from launch! FYI, one over looked aspect is the physics are piss poor as well, different than sport but not any closer to reality… just different. The fact people think these physics are good blows my mind. What’s up snap over steer in almost every car. I’ve driven plenty of cars on track at speed, Ferrari 488gtb at NCM pushing 140mph on the straights and on standard tires factory tires on 500hp c3&c6 corvettes. Yet, you jump in an 180 hp tug boats on this game will randomly blow the rear out for zero reason at all. I get this game is to pay tribute to how gt was from the start… but the only thing they did get right and operating correctly with no issues is the transaction option to buy the game and add funds to buy credits.

    Also, what a bunch of hot air the creator of pd blows. All the wack excuses and reasoning for their decisions. Dude the gig is up we get it you just want our money.    … Expand

    Cafe missions are pathetic. Too linear and boring. Great gameplay and graphics, but no real joy in playing the game and progressing. People shouldn’t be surprised Sony pulls out everything to get us to use more money on the game.

    I have played this game for 25years and i am disgusted by this latest attempt. So many things about it are awful. The obvious lack of prize money, the microtransactions, the fact you cannot play the game offline, the bugs in the online racing, the awful pp system that works off suspension setups etc, the awful daily race management.     The most disgusting GT work ever made! SONY maintains the server for 30 hours without even the most basic apology statement, nor does it give any player compensation. The low income after the update makes people angry, and behind the pretentious racing culture is actually the real face of making players pay to recharge CR! Years of GT reputation ruined！

I don't think there was a bug, i think they just **** up the credits and made a move to change it on the fly before potential money was lost. After playing since release i now don't feel motivated to do races for no win. And originally i thought people was just being ott

    Very low credit payout for long custom races.
    Credits earned for races have been decreased.
    Single player is unplayable when offline.
    They claim they want want realism but upgrade parts are overpriced to encourage microtransactions.

That pretty much guarantees that you will NEVER be able to experience all the cars of the game. Then, to stick the knife in even further, Kaz lowers the winnings of races across the board. Thanks for ruining the original spirit and vision of the game.

If you are an old school gamer like I am and you are returning to the Gran Turismo franchise after some time, you are going to be rudely insulted. If you want to relive the glory days, get the ps2 or ps3 out and go back to the older games. GT7 is a turd wrapped in shiny turds. I'm so glad I didn't spend the extra money on the premium edition. The £70 i paid for the standard edition is already a huge waste of money. They have the cheek to expect you to pay more money to buy cars. Strike this steaming turd off your wishlist and go have a midlife crisis instead.… Expand

    Started out as typical Gran Turismo with slow and dull menus and slow progress earning money, then went offline for an entire day and came back worse then before, nodes look nice at least.

    The recent decrease in race reward payout is a desperate attempt to make players use microtransactions to be able to buy their dream cars. "invitations to buy" certain cars within a time limit is just another example.

    Great mechanics in the game, however the heavy push on micro-transactions, overpricing of the cars in the game that nowhere reflect real world pricing, and cutting of most of the games rewards credits by 30% in recent patches make the game feel deceptive and overpriced.     Great graphics and detail and it ends there. Short single campaign, on line connection required, can't sell cars, and terrible cr rewards. I've gotten all the GT games at launch and this will be the last one I'll ever buy/play. Thanks Polyphony and Sony for ruining my favorite game.

But after completing the Café I felt it needed better payouts and more variety of content. But over all I would have given it an 8.     I like this game, but the price of this version of the game car is too outrageous. It costs the price of buying out the game, but also spends extra money on stored value. If you want to play in such a design way, then this game should be is free to download

    This review should have an update on the nerfing of race prices to boost their microtransactions or face massive grinding. Along the way, the removal of the car sells feature even though the PS Store description says you can sell.

    Beautiful Game, Horrible Physics.

    If this is a real driving simulator, then I want the world to be an arcade machine, the physics are horrendous. I strictly use a Logitech G923PS on my PS5, I can only drive/control FF, AWD and Race cars, anything else that is driven by the rear wheels just spins out and loses control way too easily, most of my gaming hours and currency has been put    Beautiful Game, Horrible Physics.

Also the fact that they bring real costs of actual car is annoying because the game lack so much contents right now that bringing this on the table make me quit right away also to mention that we cant even resell duplicated or car we dont want anymore for extra money and that another part of something that doesnt match the so called "real" they try to bring in. and to finish with the bad part... the rally never been made good in the series with there dynamics and physics and if they couldnt make it right they should just have stop it instead.

    Dont get me wrong not everything is bad about the game, graphics are nice and well managed, sounds effects so far are great too, tuning and customizing always been a big plus in this tho i would have been more happy to finally see a real car enthusiastic game to finally bring the customization of the blowoff valve and me our car turbo sound like we really want too while they did bring the anti lag in it, i like that they give more car as a reward of winning some races, the videos explaination in the license to help make it right if ppl struggle.the multiplayers,

    But, will all that said can i really suggest to pay full price for an incompleted game? No, there is so many things lacking in the game actually and so many things that should be reviewed with patchs or free dlc to fix those before hand. And honestly i kind of get it for the micro-transaction but before thinking about that the game should really be fixed where its lacks and once everything is done properly then go for it.

    Meanwhile im leaving the game and not gonna buy the next ones coming for sure if this one is not properly fixed.    … Expand

    The greed has entered GT series, and its nasty.
    Penalty system is still aweful, can't wrap my head around all the years of trial and error in GT sport didn't lead to anything bytter then this. Its actually GT sport sold twice, same cars and tracks, not much new. GG

Rewards are insulting, daily roulette wins are insulting. invitations to buy cars you can't afford without buying fake money with real money before your invitation runs out!     The only thing i cannot forgive is not being able to reset my game progress. It's unthinkable not being able to start a new game. The game progress is mine. I should be able to do what i want with it.     The single player portion of this game requiring an online connection is simply wrong and is unacceptable. I cannot believe that it is literally impossible to start your game over and/or create a new save file. The official recommendation from Sony is to create a whole new Playstation ID every time I just want to start fresh. The save file is forever tied to the account, backed up to the cloud and made impossible to ever remove. Am I purchasing this game or just renting it? The update recently released made no mention whatsoever about changing the online requirements so you've officially lost a loyal fan of this series.
    You and your live service BS can get f%^&^d and I am returning the game today. Btw, get rid of those awful random roulette spins, this is not a mobile game however much you want to make it feel like one.    … Expand

    I love the driving experience of GT7. That being said I want to drive some of the best cars the game has to offer. I work a lot and go to school. The cars in the game require either a lot of time to grind or a lot of real money to buy the cars. This is very unfair Sony you broke my heart with greed.     They ruined a very good game with micro transactions, you can’t sell your cars and instead of making it easier they did a update to make it harder to earn vehicles in the game without micro transactions. I can’t support a game that insults its player base like this

    The new ALFA ROMEO GIULIA Quadrifoglio? There are the same cars (Alfas) since GT3 and a handfull of new cars. Way to less to be a competitive game. Some more additional issues: After exiting GT Auto menu to change wheels and would like to buy the widebody you exit to the main menu again. Annoying. Cannot change the car in the GT Auto menu. You finished changing wheels of car a) then you need to go to your garage and choose the other car and go back to GT Auto to change wheels for car b). Annoying.    … Expand

    Bad: The core guts of the game... The classic GT games were so innovative and available for exploring or grinding. You could think of almost any car you wanted, throw parts on it and find suitable races for it. You used to be able to hot swap parts and/or sell your previous parts as you progressed up the mod tiers. Hell, you used to be able to sell the damn cars! Or vice versa, something you would have never wanted to drive, you'd purchase and upgrade and experiment with because each car you unlocked had a unique race(s) associated with it or its class.
    -Car List: The car list from GT2 was 10x better than this version. There are so many obvious exclusions
    -Rewards: First off, the roulette rewards are a complete scam. Race rewards are pretty bad considering the overall economy of the game. Thanks for the Million credits, but its still a joke.
    -Race List: There are under 40 single player missions and almost 10 of those are "go equip this part", "go tune this", "install wide body", etc. There are a bunch of cars/classes that have no single player missions at all. Each track should have a variety of class, DT, PP or manufacture restriction.

    I know some people just want MP or Sport mode, but the single player content is an absolute joke. This was supposed to be the epitome of racing sim games. The best GT ever? It feels so empty. Like an alpha release. I feel like I barely scratched the surface and then the credits roll as if this is some masterpiece. It should be priced at $40. Let alone the DRM or online locked restrictions. I was so hyped for this game and barely find myself even thinking about it anymore. what a waste of a franchise    … Expand

This is a wimpy attempt to please everyone, missing the classic gameplay qulities completely. The trailers presented nostalgia-dripping visuals that turned out to be a shiny veneer to cover up the dull and uninspired grind that is supposet to be GT mode.

    Gran Turismo used to be a role play game with deep economic mechanics that made you think twice before spending your in-game credits. It felt so close to home because it featured things like your neighbors Mazda 323 or the Lupo Cup, a small racing series that really existed.

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
