    Well Metacritic banned Protonmail email domains lmfao. Gran Turismo 7 in terms of graphics is awesome. I haven't played it much and really didn't think too much of it. After hearing about what happened with 1.07/1.08 updates, I decided to take a step back from the game. What I think the game needs is some content like Gran Turismo 4 had. Gran Turismo 4 was the last GT game I played and IWell Metacritic banned Protonmail email domains lmfao. Gran Turismo 7 in terms of graphics is awesome. I haven't played it much and really didn't think too much of it. After hearing about what happened with 1.07/1.08 updates, I decided to take a step back from the game. What I think the game needs is some content like Gran Turismo 4 had. Gran Turismo 4 was the last GT game I played and I think it would be best to go back in that direction some and reintroduce that kind of content. Making car prices in the game is unrealistic. We play games to escape from the world not be in it. I also hate grinding something that is supposed to be relaxing. I already grind in MMOs. I don't got time to grind a racing game with little to no content according to content creators. Oh and bring back Chamonix, that was my favorite rally race. As far as I could tell I didn't see it in game from all the Youtube videos I saw.… Expand

    First problem : need to be online for a 90% solo gameplay. With the previous maintenance problem, that's a shame to buy a game and can't play it. And now : they're decreased the in game rewards to avoid the players to farm the same race... but how can we earn credit ??? Ah yes, cashplay of course. For a 80€/$ game. No, thanks

    They listened, i have 1m credits as compensation for outage and alot more promises to fix thier issues, rare to see a game listen and respond so quickly, hope they fix playstation servicesin russia too

    The core of the game is really good. Have bumped my score back up to reflect the latest round of changes about earning money. It's now possible to at least earn *some* money and put a dent in buying a car.

    Thankyou, I guess, to the Devs for listening to feedback..

    So bummed. Waited my entire adult life for a PS4 release of GT and now that it's finally here, my principles won't allow me to purchase it. Sony is in serious need of a deep soul search.

    Streetcars with FR and Race Tires Soft are not driveable like in Gt Sport,
    in GT7 the front gets too much grip with rs tires the car spins automaticaly. Please Polyphony fix streetcars with race tires.

    Graphics isn't PS5 at all, game look's like GT Sport on PS4. And rain... You can see rain only from inside a car so they added a grip bar that show you on what condition you are driving - nice job dev.

    Edit: They fixed it and gave an Update that they'll change the economy for the better. Also they will make cars sellable! The game is fun, 8/10.
    I will give 10/10 if the always-On disappears, but as of now I can recommend the game.

    Also, the singleplayer needs always on connection to work, as does almost all the content. Your cars are only accessible online, even if bought with microtransactions (real money), they are not available if the servers are down or your internet is out.
    With a new patch, it is harder to earn cash, so you are being pushed towards microtransactions for the expenive cars (which apparently got more expensive)
    As of right now I can not recommend this, because it is completely unplayable. You will see an error message and the loading screen, that's it for me.
    To PD: Make the singleplayer and the garage etc. available and playable offline and stop the aggressive push to microtransactions. And fix the servers or at least tell the community whats up and for how long.
    Then I will give a better review!

    I have spent nearly $90 to pre order the 25th anniversary edition in digital version. After the updates 1.08, all I got is a 30 hours offline block and the reduce of in game credits earnings. Online saving sucks, micro-transactions sucks too.
    It’s so hilarious for the statement that you need to slow down to experience the game. And guess what, $20 for a regular car    Do not buy this crap!

    The community spoke - harshly - and they listened.

    So I can finally get myself back to enjoying probably the best racing game on PS4.

    The career is still underwhelming, but there is hope for the future, + missions and licenses, if you try to gold them, will give you a lot of playtime. So my vote can finally become the 10/10 that it should have been in the first place.

    Game went from a solid 9 to a 0 all because of the offline mode. Why must I be connected to the internet to play the single player game. Spent $90 just so I could go 2 days suffering and realizing I wasted my money since unable to play game when maintenance is happening. Or in future when servers shut down. Yet I can still go play GT1-4 for PS1 and 2 and start where I left off, or startGame went from a solid 9 to a 0 all because of the offline mode.     Disgusting behaviour in relation to the micro transactions, particularly once the bulk of reviewed were already published. I would never have purchased this if I had know how they were about to alter the product I had paid for.

    I naturally won’t be putting any more money towards this company/publisher now or in future.

    Good game, but after update 1.7 &1.8 the game is focused into making users pay for microtransactions. Bear in mind it's a full price game and they're making an extreme grind to earn credits by racing, thus making people to just use real money to get in game credits.     Sure, the graphics are good and the photo mode is good, car models actually represent the real things, and there's a bit of customization, but that's about it for the good things.     The game lacks content. Like a lot, compared to the older games in the series. I came to the game expecting older day-to-day cars, tuning them up and enjoying a fun run, like in Gran Turismo 2, but all this game focuses on is super high end cars and concepts. They promised and did deliver on "over 400 different car TYPES", which includes like 5 different GTR R35-s and 3 different EK Honda Civics.. (and not even an EG Civic!).
    And if you even want to buy the high end cars and concepts - be ready to grind DAYS for one car because the microtransaction days are here.

    Driving mechanics feel off too, a lot of the RWD cars just act like the tyres really aren't connected to the ground. At any point your car can just go into a spin, and that's with the BEST tyres and suspension and downforce settings. And once you go to a spin, there's usually no coming back.
    Tracks are sort of lackluster too. Very few old masterpieces from older games.

    The HUD is clogged up and a bit confusing. It works, but it could be better.

    One big complaint that I share with many other people, is that the game is always online - in singleplayer. Which is absolutely ridiculous. If the servers were to go down (which they did for 30 hours), you can't play the game. Which also shortens the lifespan of the game by a considerable time. You can still play Gran Turismo 1-6. You can't play Gran Turismo 7 when it's as old as Gran Turismo 1.

    They promise new tracks and cars with upcoming updates, but content wise, I think it'll never hold up to Gran Turismo 2 (which is 23 years older than this game!).    … Expand

    Great racer wrapped in a F2P box. This would be well worth your time at $0, but don't spends money on a game whose post-review microtransaction cars cost nearly as much the game itself.

    Oh, they also changed payouts post-launch and reduced them substantially, so you're more inclined to spend money on digital cars. It's a dirty cash grab that you shouldn't support. I wish I hadn't.

    Gran Turismo is/was a great racing sim. Made by the best company Polyphony Digital. Japanese company. Best ever

    This game however does not live up to the hype. They start you off with a 15-20 min intro video because its their 25th anniversary and they really want you to care, also its unavoidable. You can turn that option off in the menu afterwards. Next up is their godawful music rally. Go fast to keep the beat of the music going. That's really lame and also unavoidable. There's not much freedom to the game like in GT Sport. Every thing has to be unlocked one at a time thru some average Joe at the central hub of the game called GT Cafe. I like the hub layout, reminds me of gt1 kind of. The average Joe gives you these "menus" which tell you what 3 cars you are going to earn at the end of each race. But very specific cars. One menu might be Camaro's, next menu can be mustangs. and at the end of each menu, average Joe has to tell you a history lesson upon every menu completion. I don't forget about the amount of cut scenes

    The awards to daily distance driven suck now. and they have these things called "roulette tickets" that come in 3 tiers ( im guessing because i got a 2 star ticket). You are no longer just winning cars anymore. No. you get either a car, tiny money, medium money, large money or a car part. I'm level 9, all my daily workouts and tickets I've earned have been mostly "tiny money." One other bad part about this game is that it will "invite you" to buy a car in game, one of the ones that cost $2M credits or $26 irl. Things are forced upon you, and you can't play multiplayer until you unlock it at level 7 or something. This game is kind of disappointing, feels like there something missing from it. I'm glad I didn't pay the $110 for the anniversary edition    … Expand

    $70 game then $40 to purchase a single car that's 8 times higher than the previous title.. then they reduce the amount of credits you earn so it takes over 20 hours of play to earn 1 car... I could keep going but no point.. Sony is being so predatory with their actions as of late I no longer support their console.. ask for better

    It's really fun and High quality.The cars are good and the prices and reasonable.most of the cars are free, which is awesome and the money from the races and championships is much.its very ez to buy the card when u play this repeatedly! I really recommend players to play this game just if the gameplay I've had!yes , the 30hr maintenance is a bit annoying, but it is a good time to rest!so IIt's really fun and High quality.The cars are good and the prices and reasonable.most of the cars are free, which is awesome and the money from the races and championships is much.its very ez to buy the card when u play this repeatedly!     The DRM is ridiculous and the microtransactions are straight up robbery, I have been playing gran turismo since the very first edition on playstation one, I loved this game and I am horrified to see what greedy people have done to it. SAD!!!! Kaz must be hanging his head in shame......

    The launch of GT7 in comparison to the past games is unbelievably disappointing, to name a few: * Parts of the game showcased in the lead up to the launch are unavailable - unable to sell cars * A heavy amount of content is locked    The GT series has been a game I've followed since my childhood, the one and only racing game my friends and I all grew up on, and still follow as adults now.

But then, you add all that has been put in place in the sole purpose of pushing you to micro transaction, while you have paid full price for full game is borderline evil.     In patch 1.07 Polyphony just made it harder to earn in-game credits by reducing race rewards in hope to force people to pay real money for it…

    I mean come on… with most of the money grab decisions from Sony this generation, this is still a new low. I am just gonna stop playing GT7 and go back to Horizon 5…

The short length of the "campaign" cafe menu books is one turn off and the lack of other worth while events or challenges doesn't help. Circuit experience isnt a particularly worth while experience, the missions are rather and reward you with lack luster cars in comparison to previous GT entries.     Then there's the elephant in the room of micro-transactions, them patching reward and economy systems post launch and review cycle and overall you have one of the most disappointing games sony has ever released and mix that with the tone deaf response from the creator and there is little hope this once great franchise that I have been playing since a child will ever become what it should be.    … Expand

    I waited to buy a PS5 just to play Gran Turismo 7 only to be so disappointed in every possible way. One of the most disappointing games I have ever played. If I knew Gran Turismo 7 was going to be this bad, I would have never bought a PS5. What a waste.

    Shame on Sony and PD for letting their greed ruin what could have been a great game. Reducing credit payouts for races and the roulette is rigged to only give the lowest value prize. Forcing microtransaction after already paying $90 CAD for a full game. No chance I'd pay more money for credits.

    Greedy basteerds, their latest update made an already underwhelming game even worse. Not in your life would I buy credits. I think they are going to have a hard time making this up to their loyal fan base. I dont think i would buy another title after this. Stylistic choices for the menus/hub are lame, boring, irritating; the music is the worst in the series seeing as they were too cheap to get any licensed music whatsoever.     AAA game that is almost a pay to win system. Visuals that have not improved much since gt5. A broken reward system where a 2 star can earn you $10k and a 4 star will net you $5k. No offline option to play with your own garage as servers go down. Shocking and disgusted but good range of cars

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]
