    Read my username. Sony and Polyphony Digital (more like Phoney) are both greedy. I've been a Gran Turismo fan since the first one but they just screwed this one. Gran Turismo? more like Gran Poor-ismo, after nerfing the money payouts to force users to pay for the stupid micro transactions.     Refunded it right back. Stop treating buyers like nothing more than a wallet.

    I've played Gran Turismo since the first one. This game is NOT the series that I have loved for almost 20 years. Micro transactions have ruined this game. Cars are insanely expensive and the races give abysmal rewards. I regret buying this game and wish I could still get a refund. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME

    Misguided game direction. We live in the world where nostalgia sells well. This game tries to appeal to the nostalgia of the old but it doesn't really do a modern interpretation of it. It just feels old. Everything from the game menus to the music and car selection makes you wonder why you're playing a full price 2022 game and not something from the 90s.     The worst that leaves behind all the good:
    1. Extremely low race rewards (I raise the note up to 4 for the last promise of kamahuchi to solve the rewards.)
    2. Permanent connection even when you want to play alone
    3. Performance damage to vehicles in racing

    After a rocky start, Poliphony finally reverted its approach and delivered on the expectations. The gameplay is stunning but the type of events needs to be reconsidered to be able to do more standing start like in reality and less "start 2 minutes behind and pass them all"

    Very disappointed. I pay more expensive price to buy the game, and I need to farm very hard or pay more money to get the car. Why don't you just only sell me the packaging box ?

    Have played and enjoyed every iteration since GT1. Until now. Broken economy leading to joyless grinding and/or predatory microtransactions. Poor variety of competitions, weird interface for said competitions - and what is up with those dirt physics?

    The unreasonably long grinding (and this from someone who enjoyed the real-time 24-hour races of yesteryear), the absolute money grab of the microtransactions (this game is expensive as is, I mean, come on!) have completely undermined and destroyed this wonderful series.

    The game experience is wholly ruined and any talk of “community” is shamelessly hypocritical PR blather. I am genuinely saddened that I’ll never get to enjoy playing Gran Turismo again. There is no joy left in it, just profit.

    The game was always great. Gt always took hours to get the very most expensive car. What gr1 cars are only 1million. That was 20 races 2hours around only. I'm 33 but I didn't jump on the hate wagon. All these grown men giving it a zero pathetic.
    Yeah you can buy stuff with real money But in all Gt7 it would've cost you 200$ for the most expensive car If u didn't want to grind for 16    The game was always great.     il faut laisser au joueur le plaisir de jouer et de farmer facilement si il le souhaite.
    le but est de collectionner de belles voitures, et ne de passer des millier d'heures pour se payer une clio.

    Updates are making the game more grindy and trying to force microtransaction on players. Such a shame, content-wise it is so good.

    Pathetic rewards, presumably to drive players to the shop for credits - which are horrendously overpriced.
    Dirt/Rally is truly abysmal - not sure how on earth this passed Quality Assurance.
    Cafe Menu system is too linear and makes me feel like im playing a car collecting game rather than a racing game.

    Prior to patch 1.07, I'd have given this a 10, since 1.07 I haven't bothered with the game at all. There is now way too little single player content to make any progress, as the winnings have been slashed and the multiplayer payouts are a joke. For the first time ever, my PS5 is going to be my secondary console and I'll be using my Series X as my main console going forward.

It's a solid game for sure, but they really need to remove those 2 things or this franchise is just going to die. Its an 8 as far as gameplay, but in general, this game is a 0.5, Im being Generous giving it a 1.

    O jogo não deixa você jogar offline... ou seja, daqui alguns anos quando eles decidirem desligar os servidores online como aconteceu com GT5 e GT6 o jogo se tornará inútil, você perderá seus carros e todo o tempo gasto no jogo.

    I just don't understand why it took so long to make this game. GT7 on release day was 5 years old already. I'm big fan of GT. Had every part on every platform. Evolution is needed here. Btw. why there is no quick settings for PP adjust? Waiting for fixes.

    The essence of GT series (excluding, of course, the infamous GT Sport) is experimenting the sensation of driving a lot of different cars. The micro transactions skyrocket the game cost, if you still wanna have the same sensation. This is a demo game.

    F*** you Polyphony.30h downtime for a singeplayer, not even a compensation of any kind for this huge downtime and on top of that players now earn LESS credits. That's probably the worst you could have done to your loyal fans. Deleted the game and will demand my money back via Sony.

    Yeah this game is not perfect yet, probably due to pressure on Polyphony by Sony, but it stil an awesome game. Racing feels good, cars are beautiful, and lots of improvements over GT Sport. Of course we have to be critical of the MTX system and rewards on the raced, but I'm quite sure this will be fixed in the near feature.

But after completing the Café I felt it needed better payouts and more variety of content. But over all I would have given it an 8.     I absolutely love the gameplay and have nothing but respect for the GT series. BUT...... the Microtransactions are absolutely disgusting. They released the game to reviewers prior to the Microtransactions being able to be seen, then they let them give the game high scores because they didn't know, then release the game and add some of the worst and most expensive Microtransactions I haveI absolutely love the gameplay and have nothing but respect for the GT series. BUT...... the Microtransactions are absolutely disgusting. They released the game to reviewers prior to the Microtransactions being able to be seen, then they let them give the game high scores because they didn't know, then release the game and add some of the worst and most expensive Microtransactions I have ever seen in a game and also lower all the payouts in the game. Online Races give you basically nothing in credits even if you win, like 12,0000 credits for 15 minutes work and then they charge you 1-20 million for most of the good/legendary Cars, 3 of which you actually need for a trophy in the game, thus making the platinum trophy almost unobtainable. To buy 1 car at 3million credits costs around £40 and to buy the 20m credit car it's around £155 FOR ONE CAR!!!! They say "We want to reflect the real world with car prices" but don't reflect the real world with race payouts, don't reflect the real world with the fact that you can't sell cars you own in this game and they also don't reflect the real world with car pricing accurately anyway because most GR.3 cars for example all cost the same price which wouldn't be the case in real life. They also give us the FOMO effect (fear of missing out) by making the rare and most expensive Cars rotate between stores and if you don't buy them it could be a while before they come back. This creates the sense of urgency with players to either spend real money to not miss out or... You guessed it, miss out. The daily reward for playing is a roulette ticket which is similar to a loot box. These roulettes give you the worst rewards 95% of the time and it doesn't even matter what rarity the roulette ticket is. Honestly if I had to make a list of all the things not to do with Microtransactions then Gran Turismo 7 has just done it for us. HOW THE MIGHTY HAVE FALLEN.

    Summary:
    - Low Reward payouts in game
    - Very Expensive Microtransactions in a full priced game
    - FOMO with rotating Stores
    - Online Race rewards are basically non existent
    - Can't sell your cars to make money
    - Fixed roulette wheels, that can give you duplicate cars that you can't even sell.

    Update 1.09 is a step in a good direction. Revising my review to be more in keeping with the overall beauty of the game with less emphasis on the microtransactions as a deal-breaker. Ready to get back to racing.

    This game is a masterpiece. I understand the frustration and controversy around MTX however Polyphony are addressing this and making adjustments based on feedback in the next update. This proves they listen and care about their community, this game does not the deserve the rating it has on this website.

    Even to play the SOLO career mode, or even a single quick race against IA, you must be connected to the servers — servers which can be offline for more than 24 hours because of a 'maintenance'.     There's more, as if your Internet connection isn't stable enough, like if it sometimes disconnect for a minute or so, and you are in a race, then the race is stopped and you lose everything you did since then because 'it can't save your progression' (is there no space to store save data in this console I bought 500€ ?). Like you're in a 20 laps race, last lap, Internet fails for a second, race stops and you have to do your 20 laps all over again — hoping that internet will not fail this time.
    That's absolutely outrageous that you can't play a 100€ solo game without being connected to these non-working servers or if you have a quite cheap wifi. I hope they will fix that, if not I won't be able to trust PlayStation studios anymore.    … Expand

First week was amazing, until you find out their "Career mode" called Café is finished in a matter of hours, all the used vehicules are way too expensive, can't sell any car so you have to grind the same races over and over to make money...but wait a minute! Update coming in! Rewards are cut in half! Wtf? And if that wasn't enough, the damn update makes theI was so hyped for that game.     Yes, they've announced a upcoming patch to fix some things many people are complaining about. Too little too late in my opinion.
    Kaz has basically confirmed that we all payed >$70 to be beta testers for a buggy piece of sh!t.

    a good gran turismo but unfortunately not finished yet, we have to be patient and wait for the updates that will correct the small youthful defects and add content
    the game play is still just as pleasant, the visuals beautiful and the music well-paced.

    Finished the game in 4 days after release date, paid a lot for the deluxe edition for nothing actually. Really disappointed you can finish the game this fast. Have to drive forever now with microtransactions just to make money to buy one car or to upgrade one car. Graphics is brilliant but thats all, still playing GT Sport and preferring GT Sport.     Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
