    It’s clearly a well made game. These review bombs are unfair. It’s the most fun I’ve had in a racing game since gran turismo 5. It just feels like a quality game. However, this game has launched with a few pretty big issues. This would be a dealbreaker but since Polyphony have confirmed a series of updates in April that will fix these issues, Gran Turismo 7 looks set to be one of the bestIt’s clearly a well made game. These review bombs are unfair. It’s the most fun I’ve had in a racing game since gran turismo 5. It just feels like a quality game. However, this game has launched with a few pretty big issues.     Just seen the blog where rewards are being increased, extra content, more cars and tracks available and that is fine. Fans have been listened to and action taken. The drivel about "real world pricing" in the previous blog by Kaz as a justification for nerfing payouts was utterly shameful and the reason I returned my copy to Amazon for a full refund in disgust at this greed.     The game itself, is good. Details on cars are unrivaled, and physics are among the top league EXCEPT for the rally physics. If you are a car fan, there isn't really a reason you shouldn't play this game, and I'd recommend it to anyone who are remotely interested.

    As a very long fan since the original, this is truly heartbreaking. The massive greed that is on display with micro transactions is not only disgusting, but a slap in the face for people like me that spent 100 Canadian dollars on this F2P game. Also it's such a nice surprise when the internet or servers go down, I can't play my single player racing game I paid for. Thanks Sony!     I haven't bought a Gran Turismo game since GT3 so I figured with the critical review score so high it would be safe to preorder the 25th anniversary edition. The game I got looked like GT but it played terrible and has micro transactions. What is this thing? It requires me to be online to play the single player? I'm so confused about what they shipped me.     Micro transactions, payouts nerfed 2 weeks after launch, always online for no reason just came bite everyone (as expected) in the ass with a near 24 hour outage. Shame!

    Edit: changing review based on addition of endurance races, doubled payouts, and ability to sell cars

    highly overrated. Menu structure is a joke. AI is crap and inconsistent. Game is too hard to play with a ps5 controller. Hardly any singleplayer content. Earning money is nearly impossible. Expected more of this

    It’s a well put together GT game, I can tell the devs took their time. The driving is a perfected evolution of old GT titles. The game expands much wider than previous releases and brings way more. To bombard this game with hate centering around reward payouts and how you can’t purchase the most expensive cars right away, is a mistreatment this game does not deserve.     Awesome game, great graphics, pretty accurate physics. Great selection of cars, impressive circuits, basic but very interesting "story" mode (I do enjoy the "museum" felling).

    That the game is online only is bad enough. My main gripe is with race payouts. With 400+ cars (and more to come) trying to grind out credits is just too much. I understand that the low payouts are meant to drive players to the cash shop but to go in during the last update to cut many payouts in half is just plain awful.     I would give it a 8 if it weren't for the greedy casino tactics making it basically essential to use real money to get the best cars or grind for 24 hours per car. It's a shame because there is an ok game in there if they made an actual career mode and rewarded skill but instead we get this rubbish.

    1 - No microtransactions to buy cars or anything 2 - More cars 3 - Open world in many countrys(Mexico Usa Australia and more)

I'm taking off one star because of the presence of micro transactions. They charge obscene prices for in-game currency. And I'm taking off a second star for the in-game economy being skewed so incredibly far towards grinding for currency.     After the community backlash PD has updated the game and addressed the vast majority of user complaints. I have been playing Gran Turismo since GT2 and am a huge fan. I am very disappointed in the blatant MTX cashgrab that PD have opted for in GT7. It is much worse than in GT Sport which was an acceptable balance between DLC car cost and race rewards. I've been searching for a similar experience over the decades and nearly none of them have reached the same level of customization and progression as GT3.     Un jeu frustrant qui mérite une sanction ! C’est insupportable de voir que Sony, en tant que leader, cherche à sucer l’argent des gens, quitte à gâcher un jeu avec du potentiel ! Je me suis lassé en une semaine ! Les prix vertigineux des voitures et leur si faible quantité, notamment les vieilles, c’était décourageant !!

    Upd. Patch 1.07 makes you grind even more, because it halfs the reward for winning race.

    All the races from the single player are rolling starts, you will always be 30-40 seconds behind the first car and you dont get to enjoy races with equal    This game is half finished and yet it makes sure you spend 100 hours of grinding the same race (cos its most profitable) to obtain 1 car.     GT7 is easily the best PS5 game released to date.

    I'm reviewing my opinion because Poliphony Digital is backpaddling now and gave everyone 1000000 cr. for the trouble. They will launch a patch in April where they are suposadly fixing the economy and increase the payout of some races in 100%. I will return and increase score if they deliver.

    As a long time GT fan, it beyond pains me to see the current state of this beloved franchise. The scariest part is that the fiasco is not caused by incompetency by Sony or PD. It is a cold and calculated operation to deceive and manipulate the playerbase to maximise profit at all costs. They knew what they are doing. Did they anticipate the backlash? Most definitely. Did they care? Most definitely not. They did their math and knew the minority of whales would more than cover the damage done by alienating their loyal fanbase of 25 years.

    The whole game has been designed from ground up to maximise MTX. Elements to promote MTX has been weaved into almost every aspect to the game. From obvious ones like the inability to sell cars and FOMO, to the subtle ones like the background of the credit earning screen made to resemble a top-up card.

    Given how Sony and PD have reacted, there is unfortunately little optimism that they will backtrack from their "ostrich head in the sand" approach. A shame really, how this once legendary franchise will end.

    Great game with a bright future. Will not buy any mtx and I get that this is a long haul game and I'm here for that. My few issues are:

    The daily challange rewards are bad. It's always the lowest prize! Sp content should be playable during server maintenance. When the servers close in the future is the game unplayable foreverd?

    Almost unplayable for a day now. Even offline career needs an Internet connection to the servers constantly. You can not play your career when the servers are down. Ridiculous !!!
    All the cars are expensive. You get the possibility to buy special cars for a limited time only. It is almost impossible (the more after the 1.07 update, which lowered rewards) to get the amount needed within the time-frame, especially when the servers are down.     I like that they tried to do a gran turismo 4 wannabe game but the carlist is a bit dissapointing for the launch version, the microtransations are way too overpriced for what you get ingame and the content is bland like there s nothing to do after u finish the cafe menu books.
    Overall i like the new experience but is pretty boring after 8-10 hours and i m sure it ll get better with future updates.

The terrible and horrid thing about always online means, Sony can just flip a switch and you no longer have a game. This is unacceptable and horrid on Sony's part.     In fact, running SONY Drive Club game (SONY PS4 version as it was never remastered even for SONY PS4 Pro), through Backward Compatibility mode on SONY PS5, SONY Drive Club still looks better graphically than GT7 on SONY PS5.

    When I say GRAPHICALLY, I'm referring to how real (close to reality) the image looks, I'm not referring to frames per second or resolution.

    Honestly, my disappointment is such that I would rather pay this price for the SONY Drive Club game remastered for SONY PS5 than this SONY Gran Turismo 7 game that disappointed me horribly in terms of Graphics Quality.

    SONY, forget about Ray Tracing, we want Quality Graphics!

    When it comes to gameplay, I still prefer SONY Drive Club. The only things I like about Gran Turismo 7 are the Museum, the Car Mall, and the fact that it's the same Car Simulator that follows the pattern of the Gran Turismo series, in addition to keeping the same Tracks from the series, as I did.

    But Graphically, the picture is so disappointing that I feel that I was assaulted by the high price charged by SONY for this SONY GT 7 game with these graphics that when playing on SONY PS5, it looks like they are actually being run by SONY PS4 Pro when it is running. in "Performance mode", and appears to run on a SONY PS3 when running in "Ray Tracing mode enabled".

    But the worst thing about a game, which is marketed in physical media, is the internet connection required to play, especially Career and/or Single Player mode.
    In fact, I really liked being able to play with split screen, me and 03 friends competing, with the screen divided into 04, using the same Console.

    That's why it's not worth buying the SONY PS5 or the SONY PS4... oh, how much regret.... The best is GT 6 on SONY PS3, there's no way... Besides, I have a 3D Projector with Active 3D glasses, and I have many Blu-ray Disc 3D movies, but only SONY PlayStation 3 supports 3D.

    SONY PS5 and SONY PS4/PS4 Pro will have an advantage over SONY PS3 only in the fact that it supports SONY PS VR, but the graphics quality on SONY PS5 should be much better than SONY PS4/PS4 Pro on VR.

    Anyway, the best game for SONY PS4/PS4 Pro & SONY PS5 is without a doubt the game: SONY Drive Club.
    The last best SONY Gran Turismo was GT6 for Career mode, and GT Sport for graphics.

    But between GT Sport and Drive Club, I prefer Drive Club, especially since Drive Club's graphics are better even than GT7's graphics (which are already better than GT Sport's graphics).
    That is, Drive Club is better than all games in the Gran Turismo series, including Gran Turismo 7, Drive Club is better, especially in graphics quality.

    GT7 is better than GT Sport in graphics quality, but in gameplay, GT7 is the worst game in the history of the Gran Turismo series.
    GT Sport is better than GT6 in graphics quality, but in gameplay, GT Sport is the second worst game in the history of the Gran Turismo series.

    GT6 is the best game in the history of the Gran Turismo series.
    On SONY PS3, there is no better racing game than GT6.
    On SONY PS4/PS4 PRO, PS5 there is no better racing game than SONY Drive Club, although it has not been remastered even for the PS4 Pro, so there will never be a remastered version for the PS5.

    The studio that produced SONY Drive Club was shut down by SONY for making the game stupidly better (in graphic quality) and better looking than any other racing game, humiliating the Gran Turismo series games in such a way that SONY shut it down. the Studio that produced Drive Club, in addition, SONY forbade the remastering of the Drive Club game for SONY PS4 Pro and SONY PS5, as the game was so graphically beautiful that it would make people repulse spending money and play Gran Turismo games.

    Gran Turismo Sport was released to try to make people forget about Drive Club, but the failure of "advance in graphics quality" between GT Sport and GT7 is so massive that it's impossible not to compare it to Drive Club and note that both, GT Sport and GT7, are inferior to the Drive Club, graphically.

    I recommend your last GT game to be GT6, only available for SONY PS3. If you have a SONY PS4/PS4 Pro/PS5, I strongly recommend, just play Drive Club & Drive Club VR. Stop wasting time with Gran Turismo Sport and Gran Turismo 7!    … Expand

    Gran Turismo 7 has a lot of good and plenty of great. The use of DualSense and the particularly well-tuned loading is exemplary, and there's a huge amount of work behind the game, with a lot of detail that's almost hard to believe at times. [Issue#318]

    Gran Turismo 7 brings to the tracks every single thing fans always wanted: the GT Mode everyone loves, plenty of customization options, car loads, classic scenarios and one of the best DualSense and 3D Audio experiences the PS5 has to offer. This is the best Gran Turismo experience we have ever seen in a long time.

    Gran Turismo 7 is a love letter to motorsport history and an impeccable technical showcase. The franchise's traditional formula gets good improvements, but it's still extremely true to its roots. One of the best racing series ever shines spectacularly on the PS5.
