    The tallest trees catch the most wind. All these negative reviews, especially 0 are beyond a joke.

    I understand that some people would have trouble sitting through Atreus temper tantrums, and want to slap the kid silly at times. I'm with you right there, but that's what kids are known for. So I'd rather praise Santa Monica for making such a realistic great character that get under my nails at times, then deprive myself of (one of) Kratos's best game. Seeing my man's story go full circle and his incredible character development over 15+ years does make even men like myself reaching near 40 burst out in tears.

    Also, the combat can be certainly frustating at times. But it's funny that people lay the fault at their terrible decision making which can lead to you getting owned quickly on the combat system. The combat can be as great as you want to make it. Yeah Kratos ain't stopping mid animation to dodge, but how is that wrong? And if you can't get the timing for parries, stand before the mirror that maybe you ain't that great of a gamer.

    Personally, I love the game to death. It's definitely goty material in my book. The story is amazing, the graphics are beautiful, with spectacular level designs. Maybe some are just getting too spoiled. I really don't know which games they are comparing it to for **** on the graphics. And the combat with it endless combinations can be addictive as hell as long as you want to keep bettering yourself. I certainly don't regret spending every penny I have on it, and the GoW controller that I purchased with it.    … Expand

    Another banger. I’m lost for words how these games are as good as they are. Generally I’m not that into Norse mythology but god of war makes me a fan and keen to learn more. Everything from the story to the gameplay to the graphics are a 10. Absolute joy to play and can’t wait for more

    An epic adventure that lives up to the name of the franchise and lives up to the hype of two years into its release. From the graphics and gameplay to its story, this game is simply a natural evolution to its predecessor, and expands the universe even further into the future.

Although the game maintains its excellent gameplay from the previous game by making small changes, it maintains the same good graphics as the previous game, I feel that the difficulty went down a bit, I feel that the narrative also went down a bit, leaving many characters in the dark and downplaying some (Jörmungandr, Odin, Thor, Hraesvelgr, Loki, Forseti, Tyr, etc) I feel that although the fights with the Berserkers are quite entertaining and apply that level of difficulty that the story lacks, they leave a lot to be desired. to be desired compared to the Valkyries, I also feel that the Physical Appearance of some Gods like Odin and Heimdall leave a lot to be desired, as well as the fight with Thor and Freya, which are not the most epic that one would expect. Although I liked the game a lot despite the fact that Platinum was very easy, I feel that Cory Barlog set the bar so high with the previous game (God of War 2018), that it was impossible to fail with this game no matter how bad or good it was. outside.… Expand

    гавнарек это еще то фуфло, все твисты в первой части похерены полностью зачем ? нужно было называть боя Локи наверное чтоб купили блять гавнарек. Можно было сделать эпик а получился гавнарек гейплэй сплошные головоломки визуал как у дум этёрнал цветастая хуйня .
    Кратос заебалсяя убейте уже его но нет же выкрутим что насрать больше частей.     I had really high expectations after a glorious re-entrance in this franchise after god of war (2018).
    God of War : Ragnarok did not disappoint, almost every single part of the game was near perfect, from music , sound design , level design to gameplay.
    I loved the story and the gameplay the most, though I think the game lacked in some lines because they felt unnatural. Where the game    I had really high expectations after a glorious re-entrance in this franchise after god of war (2018).

    Where the game lacked is those RPG elements and exploration, I wish the game was made more linear than it is but that is just my preference.
    Everything this game did, they did in God of War (2018) better, except for the gameplay which was one of the better ones I played, the story made more sense in GoW 2018 the characters were more loveable, in God of War Ragnarok it felt forced.
    Overall I would recommend this game if you are a fan of God of War series or if you are looking for something great, but I would recommend playing God of War (2018) first.    … Expand

    -Falta do NG+
    -Sem customização para o kratos
    -Falta das armaduras do GOW.2018
    -Alguns dos ataques runicos das lâminas que são para curta distância, são completamente inúteis por jogar inimigos para longe.
    -Desequilíbrio entre as armaduras. Armaduras iniciais são mais fortes que as finais. -Dificuldade um pouco alta para dar upgrade no máximo no machado, e nas lâminas. -Falta dos ataques runicos que tinham no 2018, e não tem nesse jogo.
    -Mudança não muito boa no ataque das lâminas ao segurar o □. A maneira como é realizado esse ataque, não deveria ser mudado.
    Deveria ter alguma forma de trocar esse ataque.    … Expand

    Un 10 es una nota muy complicada de poner ya que la perfección es un concepto abstracto pero me cuesta visualizar un juego mejor acabado que este.
    Despunta a todos los niveles y mejora la entrega anterior, por eso desde mi punto de vista tiene mi 10.

    It’s crazy how immersive and interesting this game is. The level of graphics and attention to detail never ceases to amaze me! I use go thing GOW was overrated until I started playing it… and wow!!

    A really good addition to the god of war franchise but in my opinion not as cohesive as God of War 2018. Still a great game nevertheless. But its a little woke and awkward in some parts and the ending could've been more fleshed out. At least Kratos is as bad ass as ever!

Sin embargo todo esto se ve empañado por una historia que parece sacada de un drama adolescente americano, donde lo único que importa son los sentimientos de un niño consentido y como su padre le afirma absolutamente todo.     Pretty strong GOTY contender for me, possibly the strongest so far (still waiting on Alan Wake 2, so we'Ll see) and overall it's an easy 9/10 for me as the graphics are phenomenal, the story is great (strong character development all around) and the voive actors did an outstanding job breathing life into each and every one of them.

During the story they are great, but since I'm also a trophy hunter I finished the story first and went back for the collectibles later ad some of the maps, especially parts of Alfheim and most of Vanaheim are a nighmare to traverse without a pointer. Might be just me, but that was the big annoyance factor for me, the rest was great and if you're looking for a game to spend somewhere between let's say 15 and 50 hours, depending on how much you want to do, this is a basically a no brainer.
    It's strongly recommanded to finish God of War (2018) first, but it's probably possible to just enjoy this game on its own if you so choose. Why you'd do something if the "first" game is right there and great too, I don't know, but I gues it's possible.    … Expand

It's true it can be considered a "more of the same" for some things but the game works and is artistically wonderful.     I played almost 15 hours and this Game.... it´s not just an Game, it´s a duty for every Single Player to experience this masterpiece. Story, combat, satisfaction, characters, dialogs are made with love and high quality. You can see the work of 4 years!! I couldn´t find any cons, everything makes fun. even some Side quests are Witcher 3 Niveau! My GOTY 2022!!!

    Just like its predecessor, a must have. This time, however, I find the story a bit more complicated and harder to follow. If gow 2018 was a 10/10 for me Ragnarok is at a really good 9/10.

    el cierre y el fin de una era se va con este juego, vivirá por siempre en mi memoria hasta el final de mis días. desde su inicio hasta que acaba se mantiene siempre bastante entretenido, hasta en esos momentos de tranquilidad que puedes ir a explorar y hacer las misiones secundarias. el    reseña personal con 41 horas de juego sacando el final con los créditos en PlayStation 5.

    el cierre y el fin de una era se va con este juego, vivirá por siempre en mi memoria hasta el final de mis días.

    desde su inicio hasta que acaba se mantiene siempre bastante entretenido, hasta en esos momentos de tranquilidad que puedes ir a explorar y hacer las misiones secundarias.

    el sistema de batalla es llevado a la perfección kratos y atreus se sienten muy bien y bastante, la dirección de cámara que nunca tiene cortes todo se lleva a cabo en primer plano y es algo impecable digno de admiración.

    la narrativa esta perfecta en todo sentidos.

    la dirección es llevada a un nuevo nivel nada que reprochar.

    la actuación de todo el cast es tan buena que todos los personajes les tomas gran aprecio.

    el soundtrack de Bear McCreary es tan poderoso que te llega a el alma con cada melodía usada en cada uno de los reinas, eso sin contar las batallas tienen también su tono especifico.

    la dirección de arte es hermosa, cada uno de los paisajes desde midgard hasta asgard son un deleite para la vista.

    gráficos, al ser un juego que esta hecho para la generación pasada en PlayStation 4, se le dio un gran tratamiento en PlayStation 5 a un framerate de 80 a 90 con VRR.

    Game is really a Masterpiece, Graphics, Animations, steady frame rates etc.
    Story is one of its major improvements.
    Character designs and voice acting are top notch. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone.

I can't recommend this game more. Okay, so let's get that out of the way. I loved the combat, so freaking good! The graphics and characters, the writing and acting... you don't often see better. Buut... Although I know I'll be in the minority here... I can't help this feeling after getting to the credits and feeling deep disappointment. The world design throughout the majority of the game felt like I was playing on a set with set dressing, I didn't feel like I was in a living and breathing world. I felt... like I was on a set. There were many incredible moments, jaw dropping sections in the game. But do you remember the third game and how just utterly epic that was from start to finish? I mean, it didn't let up the entire way through. Where were all the god fights? Yes, I know there were much more than the 2018 one, but if this was truly the ending to the Norse Sequence like the developers said... Where were they all? Where were all the norse gods? I know, I know! Trust me, I'm giving the game a darned 9 for crying out loud. I loved it! Okay. But still, they were too scared to make any big choices and just... the ending! Oh my gosh, I think I may have just deeply disliked it. I went in depth with spoilers and explanations in my other review on the other platforms but won't here because there isn't enough space.
    I don't know. I can feel a great love for this game, while at the same time be feeling a deep disappointment for what I had hoped would happen in the story.
    This game is very comfortably sitting in 4th place on my personal game of the year list. When I think back on God of War Ragnarök, I will think. Holy cow that game was so freakin awesome... I'll take a pause, then say, "Wasn't it? It was right?" No doubt the person I'm saying it to will say, "Heck yea it was!" Because it is awesome. But at the same time I will always wonder if it actually really was as awesome as everyone says it is. I'm giving it a gosh darned 9 so I clearly think it is... but there's this Kratos shaped hole in my heart and I can't help but know, that I won't know, if I thought it was as awesome as everyone else. In fact, no, that isn't true. I know that, although I love the heck out of this game, I don't love it as much as everyone else. It could've and should've been better. Although at the same time I'm giving it a nine and freaking love the game too. Why am I in such a weird spot with it?This is what I'll say about it... It was a very good game and I really liked, ney! loved it a lot. But I will add no excited inflections nor will I be adding any exclamation points (besides after the one I added after the word 'ney') You can hate me all you want and I know many of you will. I am saying I love this game, I just personally had hoped for a bit of a different story. Again, I can't recommend this game more. Go out and buy it and sing your love from Olympus or your basement, or wherever. Just know that I don't love it as much as you do.    … Expand

    This game is utter perfection. One of the best games I have ever played. Must play. It truly baffles me that some ignorant people are calling this a dlc, that is not even remotely true or close to the game we have actually received. This game is a step forward and improves on everything thr 2018 game did

    God of war Ragnorok was an amazing game with such passionate writing and great set pieces. The combat is very similar to the first god of war but they have managed to refine it and make it even more enjoyable when cutting off the heads of random Drauger or squeezing the life out of those poison bugs!     I've been waiting a game like this for years. Exploration is fun, fights are immense. narrative is masterpiece. This serie is La divinna commedia of the game history. I played it "god of war" difficulty selection i am happy about that but i would want to kill at least seadirs with one hit... cuz i m the god of war in the game. This is only negative thing about game.

    This game is perfect almost in all details. Very very few bugs, I met 2-3 per all game. Technical part, visual, story, sound, fight system thats all literally perfect. Games that have the such level didn't came for long. Thats my favourite for Game Of The Year.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I wanted to love this game. The 2018 GOW was one of my favorite games and Ragnarok more or less building on the same gameplay experience worked really well for me
    But, the original game had a very simple story that played out beautifully, whereas the sequel fell totally flat. I didn't just not enjoy the story, I hated it. It was nonsensical, contrived, and the ending was deeply unsatisfying. An event - Ragnarok - which is more or less Armageddon, winds up being a very short, very uneventful, boring part of the game. There was more involvement gathering fruit in one of Atreus's pointless side quests.
    The whole "be better" thematic overall I just found aggravating. I am more likely to do another playthrough of the original game than Ragnarok again.    … Expand

    Esse jogo é uma sequência perfeita, melhorou o seu antecessor em todos os aspectos. God of war Ragnarok é um jogo de alta qualidade, áudio, desing, música, narrativa, direção, etc. Um primor técnico dos games. O jogo me prendeu do início ao fim e me emocionei muito nessa jornada, pra mim um jogo de narrativa precisa fazer nós jogadores sentir todas as emoções dos personagens como seEsse jogo é uma sequência perfeita, melhorou o seu antecessor em todos os aspectos.     Well, Ragnarok is a fun and epic game. Although for me there is not that much of improvement, especially graphics and gameplay wise. The Story is presented in a nice way, the exploration is fun and the crater section brought me some siofra river vibes :D Still something is missing and it feels a bit dull sometimes, especially that kratos is unable to step over some snow..     A masterpiece just like it's predecessor. Highly recommend everyone play this game if they have not done so yet. Epic storytelling, epic gameplay combined with some of the most well written characters in video game history comes together to produce one of the greatest games of all time.

    Overall great experience, but I would personally say that GoW 2018 is overall a better game. It's hard to judge because from a technical standpoint almost everything in this game is better. The levels are great, the music is fantastic, the combat evolves in an appropriate and fun way. I just felt underwhelmed by how the story plays out, 2018 just hit harder. Бесит постоянное нытье и самокопание персонажей, они постоянно сомневаются в себе, постоянно ссорятся. По итогу самыми интересными являются второстепенные персонажи, как Брок с Синдри,Скучная, душная игра. По факту тоже самое, что и петвая часть. Спутников можно прокачивать глубже, появились новые стрелы и приемы, ничего особого. Сам мир стал больше, всяких загадок, сайдквестов навалили гору, но это не оч хорошо, просто утомляют. Графика не сильно улучшилась, некоторые локации, ассеты, анимации перекочевали из прошлой игры без изменений. Не знаю, скучно стало на середине игры. Финал так вообще разочаровал, тухлый эпик, очень много соплей и болтовни в духе "ты можешь стать лучше", не этим мне нравился Кратос и вся серия. Очень воняло соевостью дабы не допустить никакой чрезмерной жести (что странно), никакого шока или вот-это-поворота. Очень стериально получилось.     This game had a lot to prove following up one of the most critically acclaimed games of all time and that it did. One of the best stories ever told in a video game, the best graphics a game can offer, breathtaking music, and gameplay which will keep you glued to the screen, this is truly one of the best games ever made.

    All that aside this is still a good game to play, just don't get your hopes up from big names and popular cultural references such as a Ragnarok, this game lore wise leaves much to crave for and none of the main bosses are all that challenging even though they look pretty good animation wise.

    Due to how underwhelming this game was I'm never getting hyped for this series again, but sure I'll keep playing it.    … Expand

    Another incredible addition to the GoW franchise. The story had me gripped from beginning to end and loved the characters. Compared to its predecessor I didnt find the battles all too challenging and the skill set seems to have simplified somewhat. A couple of minor bugs here and there but I am sure they will be filtered out in time. Overall, another masterpiece.

    THIS is a masterpiece! It tops part 1 with some easy steps, the gameplay is a bit better, smoother, faster....the soundtrack....oh man this is awesome! Mimir is such fun, the talks between the crew are so good written, made me laugh once in a while. More boss fights than in part 1 and I think I did not even scratch the main story. Little easter eggs are cool. The world looks stunning! JustTHIS is a masterpiece!     The game is literally perfect. They took everything that worked in the first game and made it better, changed or improved everything that didn't work, and introduced new things that are just as good. I could not have hoped for a better experience.

    Easily game of the year and perhaps even game of the decade.

The best parts of the game were in the large side quest areas like on vanaheim, when it could be just a game and not a story-game.     My game of the year!

    Absolutely incredible way to end off the Norse mythology storyline to Kratos' legendary story. I'm not a gamer who worries or cared about earning platinum trophies but I loved this game so much that without even paying attention I ended up Platinuming God of War Ragnarok.

Everything feels smooth the graphics look even better this time around after just completing the original reboot. That said most of the story is middling at best. The new main antagonists are just not that great. Odin is some frail old dude who while smart in some aspects get completely out played at almost every turn and is not nearly as intimidating as his dead son Baldur. Thor is a cry baby who is incapable of making his own decisions and is constantly just get told what to do by everyone around him. He literally takes orders from everyone from his dad, to his wife, his daughter, atreus, and Kratos. Atreus is completely different from the confident partner he became in the first game. Arguing at every turn the whole game is basically about following his wishes while also trying to stop him from wrecking the 9 realms. Freya cries, like Alot. Almost everytime she's with you she's crying about how hard her life is like you don't have your own problems. There's also only really 1 OMG moment the whole game. Everything seems just interesting enough to not quit but never "oh my God that's awesome". Spoilers*** You never get Mojlnir. Thors legendary hammer that's talked about the entire first game, the hammer teased at the end, and the hammer included in the special edition. Yeah, almost never in the game except to know down some walls and iceicles. I guess I wanted something more and with no real big scenes other than the finale I was left under whelmed. Is definitely fun for the combat but if you're expecting something as interesting as the original, I don't think it happened… Expand

    I can't help but tip my hat to the entire Santa Monica team. The deeper you delve into the game, the more you'll be drawn into the stunning story of a father and son against the backdrop of perhaps history's most horrific war. Throw in some casually endearing humour, great and fluid gameplay, and wrap it all up with an amazing audiovisual experience. [Issue#323]

    Thanks to an amazing cast that’s doing an outstanding job, a compelling story told through the eyes of multiple characters, and top-notch combat, this epic and heartfelt journey strikes all the right chord. It’s impossible not to recommend God of War Ragnarok, but just in case you had any doubts, I strongly advise anyone mildly interested in gaming to play Santa Monica Studio’s latest masterpiece.
