    Sencillamente es el juego perfecto, con un montón de reinos que explorar, nuevos combos, nuevas mecánicas, una historia que te asombra con la evolución, un juego obligatorio que hay que tener, es perfecto en todo.

    GoW Ragnarok is just basically GoW 2018 but better and improved in every aspect from story to gameplay the game has improved and I love it that way, nothing to different or drastic and I am fine with that just a natural continue of the story from GoW 2018 to GoW Ragnarok.

    Souhrnně je to pro mě to samé, jako byl první díl. Jen s tou změnou, že hrajeme často za Atrea. Jeho části (kromě snad druhé) jsou velmi zajímavé a hodně dobře rozvádějí nastíněný příběh. Také vedlejší postavy mají dost silné příběhové linky, obzvlášť naši trpaslíci.

    Amazing game with amazing character development. Gameplay hasn't changed much, but you don't change a winning formula. They have added a lot more enemies and bosses. Everything they did in the previous title they expended upon. I even choked up a couple times during the story. The voice acting is just too good.
    If you liked GoW 2018 then you will love this game.

    The reboots really shine here. They manage to respect what returning characters used to be and also what they grow into. There were returning characters that I did not expect to see whatsoever and realized how much they actually contributed to the story.

    PLOT: 7/10
    With some serious pacing problems, plot was a mixed bag compared to GoW 2018. Some sections are a total slog and I couldn't believe how long they were taking while others (particularly Q4) were absolutely captivating. 2018 had fun reintroducing Kratos while Ragnarok had more trouble carrying out his story.    … Expand

    Impresionante en todos los sentidos, no solo es el mejor GoW, sino uno de los mejores juegos de playstation studios jamas hecho, graficos de escandalo, gameplay muy divertido, historia intrigante y con buen ritmo, lo tiene todo, sin duda uno de los mejores juegos de PS4 y desde de ya de PS5.

    A dynamic and interesting main plot alternates with rather boring and repetitive secondary tasks:
    Kill crows, open chests, clear camps, collect flowers, notes, books. There are some interesting side quests, but in general, you just run around a big new area every time, solve banal puzzles, fight with a bunch of not very    Close to perfection, but there are still some minor flaws.

    God of War Ragnarok is a strongly continuous second part of a duology of games. And that's good, since they upgraded what they already done in a level of excellence that not many can reach.

    I would say that this game is beyond gameplay, since the main focus is the character development. And what have they done is a masterpiece of narrative and story achievements.     The first one was 10/10, this one is an 11/10. It took everything good from the first game, expanded it and added even more amazing stuff. Enemy variety is improved, bosses are very fun. Story is amazing and and amazing end to the Norse saga. To the people that say this adds nothing ew, just show that you didnt even finish the game. There are new weapons, new playable character.     First off, Do not listen to the perfect review scores. This game is not perfect at all. That is a fact not opinion. It was good but way way too similar to the first one so it did not have the same impact in my opinion. I loved the first one it was my favorite game of the last generation but this one treads a little too familiar. SO yeah, it's basically more of the same. same scenery, same enemies, same combat BUT with a TAD more sprinkled in here. Story was also not as strong nor did I enjoy playing as loki.     The combat has been better balanced and given even more complexity. Some overpowered skills have been removed and changed to fit the combat system better, this makes all the weapons feel equally amazing and weapon switching is better than ever. They have added an enemy attack which you have to shield bash to escape.

    One big weakpoin of the 2018 game was enemy variety but that is not something you are going to have to worry about in ragnarok. There is a huge amount of enemies and they all feel unique and different so you can come up with different ways to handle them.

    The story and character development are even better than gow 2018 which already had a great story and character development.

    The world is way bigger in this game, you can visit all the realms and there is allot of stuff to do and explore.

    My only gripe with the game is the resource collection and gear upgrading system. It can definetly get better. The way you have to collect sertain materials from chests feel verry unrewarding due to you needing rare materials to upgrade your gear. These rear material can only be found in certain areas of different levels, this makes looting allot of areas kind of useless since you will only get lower level mats that you already have there. For example, i spent hours looting every chest i could see only to realise that i still havent got a single of the rare materials i need. This could definetly be simplifed or at least smoothed out, i dont want to have a million hacksilver and still no way to upgrade, it just becomes frustrating.

    The way gear upgrading works isnt great either, you have a gear score level which will decide how much damage you deal to enemies. If they are a hihger level than you then you will deal less damage regardless of your stats just because you dont have a high enough gear score.

    In the end the resource collection and gear upgrading system is just a minor gripe of mine, i wanted to mention it though since i hope that this is something santa monica studios can improve for their next game.    … Expand

    Un juego que parece una película, la nueva integración de esta nueva cultura hace expander este universo de una forma potencial, gran gameplay y gráficos de nueva generación, muchas misiones secundarias y un juego bastante largo, es lo que te espera en esta nueva entrega del dios de la guerra y su hijo Atreus.

    - the game looks wow just wow the engine Santa Monica use for their games is just beautiful

    - the combat is a loooot better than the previous game

    - the music is just next level

    - map design although taken lot from the previous game is still pretty good

    - some of the designs for the Nordic gods is just perfect like Thor

    - really liked the standalone gameplay with Atreus he is to cool to play with

    - the boss battles in this game are a huge improvement over the previous one

    - they finally removed the useless side quests they added in the first game and just did 1 big side quest to every map which is just THANK YOU

    - writing is just trash i mean the beginning was 10 out of 10 don't get me wrong but after that the game just slows down and feels like a chore to play but back to the writing why is every encounter with the gods ends up in lets talk even the game sometimes contradicts itself by making Kratos or Atreus speak mid boss fight and even the boss will just straight up yell shut the f up why is there no bad guys ? the game tries so hard to show us the players every gods point of view and shows us that there are no bad guys just to shift the whole point they tired to prove at the end.
    as you can see i could talk about the Disney like writing of this game for hours just because of how ridiculous and childish everything was

    - a lot of re used assets and enemies , felt like i was playing the expansion of the first (2018) game

    - when i said most of the Nordic god designs are good i especially said most because there are some that are just what the actual f is this this is not how this god looks why is that they nailed the designs in god of war 3 of the Greek pantheon but couldn't do it now ?

    - the maps feel small and don't really represent the realms in their scale at least in my opinion every realm has 2 3 small maps that combine and that's it really felt like im doing small dungeons and not exploring realms

    - ending had me feeling confused and weirded out no continuation no nothing just ok that's it bye
    with no proper send off

    - they finally gave us a third weapon but it felt like i could use more just feels weird to have only 3 weapons in a god of war game

    in conclusion as i recognize with a lot of triple A games the gameplay is fun and cool but the writing is not good at all game felt like small messy expansion to the already decent with potential game that was god of war 2018 and that's why my final score to this game is a 7.5 out of 10 i would recommend it to new comers to the series or to people that want a game to pass the time but for people who played the og series as i said in my review of the previous game GOD OF WAR RAGNAROK doesn't scale up to the standards that the originals build up to    … Expand

    Clearly the best game this year, the graphics is awesome, even on the ps4, I had to stop playing and staring the environment, it's that beautiful. The Norse gods are acting like Americans, but other than that I have no complaints. Wish it had a new game+ like the 2018 gow, so that I could beat the game again on max level, but they may add this feature later.

    Masterpiece, e ainda melhor que o primeiro jogo que já era excelente, esse jogo será lembrado por muito tempo, Kratos e Atreus estão em uma sintonia melhor do que o primeiro, a fluidez do jogo no PS5 está sensacional e no PS4 está uma otimização que eu nem imaginei que seria possível, parabéns Santa Mônica.

In fact, I haven't seen as much character development in any other game, with the exception of maybe Persona 5.     Everything about the game is really high quality. Play it on hard difficulty. There are few problems with the overall game. Movement between different areas is designed based on PS4 HDD rather than PS5 SSD. Move through ledge, go under trees, go through a building etc.

    Dou nota 8, gostei do jogo, é bem feito, gráficos lindos, mas tiro pontos pela história que se tornou aborrecida nas partes do Atreus, especialmente. Penso que estragaram a imagem do Cratos, que agora é um bom papa e uma florzinha. De resto um ótimo jogo.

    This game is all i wanted, the perfect sequel of one of the best game ever made. Story is beautiful with all nine realms to explore , combat and graphics are mindblowing. Best ps5 game so far for me.

    GOW Ragnarok is a wonderful game and in my opinion the best game of 2022.
    But you can't deny it suffers a few issues in term of plot holes and story wise.
    1. Plot holes - Last game covered up ever single plot hole with Mimir storytellings. We even got to learn that he was Puck from Celtic mythology who moved North and started over his life. We also learn that Frigg and Freya were the    GOW Ragnarok is a wonderful game and in my opinion the best game of 2022.
    But you can't deny it suffers a few issues in term of plot holes and story wise.

    1. Plot holes
    - Last game covered up ever single plot hole with Mimir storytellings. We even got to learn that he was Puck from Celtic mythology who moved North and started over his life. We also learn that Frigg and Freya were the same person. This game however does not fix such plot holes and it should have been easy since they did it last time.
    - E.g. Angrboda, her mother, grandmother and Hildisvíni are all portrayed with African heritage, but why is noone mentioning it? Why isn't there a single dialogue that they, or their ancestors moved to the Northern lands similar like Kratos and Mimir? And what about other races? Why don't we see Latinos, Asians, Arabs or other races in these lands? Shouldn't Mimir have a simple story about it? HE ALREADY KNEW HILDISVINI!
    - Angrboda was also my favorite character, but we barely got to know her. Why did her parents die? Why is she and her grandma all alone? Where did they all get their African heritage from? WHY, WHY DIDN'T SHE JOIN LOKI'S JOURNEY?!
    - Then there is the fact that Tyr left arm is covered in Egyptian Hieroglyphs. Why doesn't Atreus ask about it and try to read them? It feels really out of character for him, especially when his job is to decipher the mask from Odin with all sorts of different languages.

    2. Underused gods
    - The same problem occurred with the Greek GOW games, in which we might not see all the gods and it's a damn shame.
    - There was a very long discussion if this Norse GOW saga were supposed to be two or three games. You can definitely feel that uncertain choice in this game.

    3. Scale is big, but not BIG ENOUGH!
    - The scale of these enemies are big, but when compared to previous GOW games, they are rather tiny. I understand that giants, dragons and monsters all come in variety of sizes, but this game enemies are clearly smaller than Hræzlyr and Thamur.

    Nevertheless.
    I truly, TRULY loved this game. Graphics, gameplay, story, music. I loved it, 10/10 game.

    Kratos story at this point feels done.
    If Loki story continues, I really want to see him reunite with Angrboda again and hopefully have a few more dialogues of covered up plot holes.    … Expand

    This is the best possible sequel we could’ve had. It builds on every aspect, every detail, every lore and mechanic of previous game and expands it! Game looks beautiful, and all different realms are intricate and unique. The opening sequence along is the one of the best in all of gaming ever. This game promises a lot and overdelivers all the hype. It is above and beyond of what we expected!

    La cantidad y diversidad de jefes aumenta muchísimo, reciclando muy pocas veces un jefe y tratando de mantener las cosas interesantes todo el tiempo: En este apartado hago especial mención a los mini jefes lagartos que te encuentras unas 3 o 4 veces en toda la aventura. Por alguna razón sus combates los disfruté todo el tiempo.

    Dentro de lo negativo, no me convenció tanto el sistema de combate de Atreus, se me hizo una mera excusa para conocer su parte de la historia. Las funciones del Dualsense fueron francamente desaprovechadas y port último, le hubiera agregado un poco más de carne al final.

    Con todo esto, la única forma en que no recomendaría este juego es si odiaste el de 2018, porque este es una obra maestra. Mi GOTY personal y uno de los juegos más impresionantes que puedes experimentar en estos momentos.    … Expand

    I liked God Of War (2018), but this game feels like a step back. It plays too secure, with almost no innovation with respect to the 2018 game. I think they also stretched the game with very boring content, I had to make an effort to finish it. It had some good moments but it is very far from being a masterpiece in my opinion.

    Let me start by saying this was a GREAT Game. God of War (2018) is one of my favorite games of all time. Ragnarok was a great game, but not the masterpiece that 2018 was. God of War 2018 was art. This game was not art.

    The story in this game was strange. It was overly long and drawn out in some sections, while being too slight and shallow in others. Characters and backstories were introduced and expanded, and then never re-visited. This game was not directed by Cory Barlog, and it seems to be missing his finer touch. I have finished the campaign and yes the game is longer than 2018, but since the storytelling was a bit uneven it also feels "shorter" or "lighter" than the first game.
    My biggest gripe about this game is how certain story elements from the first game are completely changed or ignored in the name of "setting your own destiny" in the second one. This is an interesting idea, but knowing that certain story parts of 2018 are ignored in Ragnarok makes the big reveals in 2018 lose their power. It deflates the story of the first game because the big moments don't actually carry into Ragnarok the way you thought they would. This feels lazy to me and gives the impression that the writers wrote themselves into a corner and could not get out of it. Again, I wonder how much Barlog's lack of direction played a role here. This game felt much less like a labor of love and more like a video game.

    The level design was also strange. Yes they were visually breathtaking. No argument here! Wonderful! However, they felt very linear. Very constructed. Each level is a series of separate rooms that require you to slide through cracks in the wall that mask loading times. This disrupts your traversal and makes it constantly feel like a video game. Again, missing Barlog's love of the series makes Ragnarok feel more like a video game and less like a wonderful story.
    I found myself getting turned around or lost several times throughout this campaign. This can of course be linked to my incompetence, but I never remember this happening during 2018. There were also puzzles to solve and chests to open that required tricks I never would have figured out if I hadn't gone to YouTube. I never had to do this in 2018. There is a line between "engaging to figure out" and "cannot be figured out" that 2018 walked so well. This game unfortunately misses that line at times.

    The level-up process was also very strange. The load-out menu has been completely changed. It is annoying and cumbersome. I often found myself accidentally closing out the menu when I was just trying to go back one section. Relics and runes are hard to understand because you can only use a few at a time rather than spread them out across your armor. The load-out menu also looks cramped and poorly designed. Armor does not show all its stats on one screen, you have to scroll and then it reorganizes the armor based on strength. It is very annoying and hard to understand. Minor, but certain words in the menu are abbreviated rather than spelled out. This takes you out of the game experience. And what if new played don't know what the abbreviations stand for?    … Expand

    The bad: The story is **** and woke, I was expecting Thor and Odin to die a brutal death, such a wasted potential...If I'm not mistaken Cory Barlog once said in an interview that GOW is not known for it's violence WHHHHHHAAAAAAAAT TF?!? Cory imagine the next Mortal Kombat with only friendship and babalities, sounds stupid right? Kratos needs to be a monster end of story! Let's hope for a better director because this guy is making GOW into a woke festival with boring characters that nobody cares.

    This game is amazing all around. The story, art, music. It’s fantastic and I highly recommend playing it. You should definitely play god of war 2018 to get a better understanding of what is going on

    Technically super solid, although I have to say, after playing Elden Ring... I miss some risk and innovation. Perhaps not my cup of tea

After the first fights with Freya and Thor the game never hits the same tempo or intensity. The end fights are very mediocre and rushed not something I expected from such a great and usually polished franchise. They also hint at fighting Ragnorok himself, but they throw that out the window real fast. Fenrir barely makes an impact for what his role should be.

    All and all very disappointed with the scale of the big boss fights and the rushed ending. Just Baldurs first fight in GOW 1 created a ravine! That's how crazy the fight was. You'd think a fight against an even stronger opponent like Thor would cause something like that, but no. It starts off strong and when you fight him again it's pathetic in comparison.    … Expand

This game's qualities have been justly praised to high heaven and all the kudos are richly deserved. I'll be brief in my single point of criticism, they messed up the character of Kratos halfway through the game.

    Kratos bending to his son's perspective is just plain wrong and goes against the essence (even if mollified by his late wife and his kid). Kratos was educating his son Atreus (Loki), preparing him for the harsh world and the writer pulled some Disney BS and made the parent bend to the kids will and go soft. Kratos is not soft. The limit of his tolerance would be not killing Freya, after she lost her son and went crazy). They did not ruin Kratos, I stil love this game and the character, but this blemish deducts a point from Ragnarok, making it almost perfect and not perfect like its predecessor.

    To fix the story would be simple: Atreus realizes in the final quarter of the game that the evil the Asgardians have been doing and Odin, as their leader, make them irredeemable. Enslaving, torturing and genocide deserve an strong answer and he finally understands why his father is a harsh man. Atreus, now made mature by the tragedies he witnessed and suffered, grows up and sees the world through his father's eyes (which happens to all of us when we finally grow up).

    I hope they don't keep pushing the "soft" Kratos on the next saga. God of War is one of the greatest franchises of all time.    … Expand

    I can't help but tip my hat to the entire Santa Monica team. The deeper you delve into the game, the more you'll be drawn into the stunning story of a father and son against the backdrop of perhaps history's most horrific war. Throw in some casually endearing humour, great and fluid gameplay, and wrap it all up with an amazing audiovisual experience. [Issue#323]

    Thanks to an amazing cast that’s doing an outstanding job, a compelling story told through the eyes of multiple characters, and top-notch combat, this epic and heartfelt journey strikes all the right chord. It’s impossible not to recommend God of War Ragnarok, but just in case you had any doubts, I strongly advise anyone mildly interested in gaming to play Santa Monica Studio’s latest masterpiece.
