    I already loved the last God of War from 2018. The characters, the world and the overall detail of the nordic mythology made it a masterpiece. Now I've just finished Ragnarök and Hell was this a bomt... An epic final with A LOT of great characters which all were designed with so much love and detail and also great voice actors.     Basura infecta a la que nos tiene acostumbrados Sony últimamente. Indigno de los juegos originales. Nieblas por todas partes y muchos pasillos para tiempos de carga. Y encima de que no se puede matar a Atreus resulta que hay que controlarle.

    Ein sehr gutes Spiel dennoch mit 2 3 Problemchen
    1. Die Characktere die den Protagonisten begleiten reden in einem Kampf ohne Unterbrechung das kann nützlich sein aber auch extrem nervig sein
    2. Einige Missionen werden stark in die Länge gezogen gerade die letzte und die in Vanaheim.
    3. Die Beziehung zwischen Atreus und Angrboda könnte erwas inniger sein

    Let me give you 2 pieces of advice.

    1. Play on hardest difficulty. Actually its not really hard but its the only way to actually enjoy the gameplay which is perfect. This way you learn all the moves and play to 100%. 2. Go for side quests as soon as they are available. this way you will make main bosses easier and if you come back to side quests after you will be too high level and one    Let me give you 2 pieces of advice.

    Really nice, beautiful and fun game. The downsize is the lack of novelty and repetitive enemies. The story is good, but a little predictable. I felt that the developers lacked courage to create unexpected events in this game. But it is for sure a recommended game.

    As someone who has been playing God of war since the first one in 2005, I have found enjoyment in every entry. 2018 was a bit divisive for some people, but with ragnorok a lot of that has been improved.

    There's more enemy and boss types and the combat feels faster and tighter then the previous entry. This game a little more brutal and violent then 2018, but never quite hits the level of the Greek saga. There's a difference between violence and blood/gore. Miniboss kills fall back on "snapping its neck" way to often, which is brutal and violent but not bloody or gory. Sure there are more decapitations and dismemberment in this game, but when you decapitate a huge monster there is a surprising lack of blood. Something I'm sure could have been fixed.
    I honestly blame this on the scope of the game. First from a mechanics perspective, shifting the series from strictly linear, to a more open experience takes a lot resources.(Wouldn't quite call this game open world but it does have bigger areas and several branches to explore). Another aspect that resource management effects is the set piece moments. I don't want to spoil anything but there are a few memorable events like this is the game, but there were also moments where this should have been more focused on. Events happen that should have been highlighted as these amazing cinematic moments, but instead take the backseat. Another factor shifted by resource management
    And second the fact that this was originally going to be a trilogy. There was a lot they had to accomplish in this game. Which effects the pacing a little bit. Gameplay wise, you have these character driven segments that are essentially flooded with fight after fight. As if you will forget that its an action game, if they don't constantly remind you. Don't get me wrong its an action game and the action is very well done, but sometimes the in-between fights felt tacked on, filler if you will. Even when you have story wise combat heavy moments, their seems to always be one or two filler fights.
    Now on to the story, the story is good, but its also effected by originally being a trilogy and the pacing is little off because of it. There were a couple of times where something or some moment could have been fleshed out more. but it still hits everything it needs to. And the way they've positioned this game i can't really tell where the split would have been. But it indubitably would have been more fleshed out. And maybe even had more cinematic set pieces. This does give it a slight rushed feeling but not much.
    At this point you may be thinking that i didn't enjoy this game much. But quite the contrary. I only focused on giving a detailed and honest review. Its not perfect but its still one hell of a ride and very enjoyable. I had a lot of fun and look forward to the next entry in the series.

    Bonus points: I loved how now that its not some big secret Kratos goes into his history a bit more in this one which was a nice touch for a series veteran    … Expand

    This games is one of the best games I have ever had the pleasure of playing! The characters are some of the best and most well thought out characters I have seen. The story had me hooked immediately! I had very high expectations for this game and somehow it still managed to exceed them! The entire team behind this game should be praised for this phenomenal experience of a game! My personal GOTY!

    No superó el del 2018, Atreus es un niño malcriado y lo deteste. Disfrute mejor él del 2018. Los personajes en especial Odin parecía uno de esos señores que son vagabundos, sin buena presentación y su arte es verdaderamente grotesco. Pensé que Odin tendría una armadura imponente y respetar el nombre que lleva. No no no. Lo platinie pero jamás lo volvería a tocar.

    I seriously thought that there aint gonna be any other game which gonna give me experience like rdr2 asi havent played any game on par with rdr2 till now, glad this game exists definetly gonna be on my top 3, A must buy game on playstation and even on pc when it comes on pc aswell.

    I love God of War series, but this one is extremely boring and it feels like a Disney movie, it is a disappointing sequel to a very good reboot of 2018. I give this game 6 points because visually it looks very good.

    This game is nothing short of impeccable. From the story to the combat, everything is top tier. Can honestly say it’s one of the best games I have ever played. The game flows exceptionally well and I love the semi-linear feel it has while also giving you the option to explore the different realms which look elevated in comparison to the 2018 game.     Would actually give this game an 8.5. GoW 2018 was better in my opinion, but I think that is mostly because it came first. I don't feel like Ragnarök really built enough on top of 2018 to stand out. Great game, excellent smooth combat. It is definitely a must play PS5 game.

    GOW Ragnarok maximizes and perfects everything that was already great about the prequel. Storytelling, artwork, dialogue, audio, game-play-mechanics and combat are crafted with so much love for the smallest detail, its simply astonishing. Amazing Masterpiece Game I love it thank you Sony Santa Monica!!!!

Resurrection doesn't help either if you have no I-frames to adjust camera and die again immediately. Some puzzle triggers were to picky at times even if you have the right idea but it doesn't work due that. Menus are cluttered    403 issues short version:

    When i played God of War 4 (2018), being my first GOW i played, i was amazed, an exceptional game, almost a masterpiece, but then God of War Ragnarök released and showed how a sequel should be made.

    Now, without spoiling anyone, the Story is a complete 10/10, no doubt on that, as the GOW 4 was, this one reveal a whole new level on storytelling for me. Combat was a little bit better    When i played God of War 4 (2018), being my first GOW i played, i was amazed, an exceptional game, almost a masterpiece, but then God of War Ragnarök released and showed how a sequel should be made.

    Now, without spoiling anyone, the Story is a complete 10/10, no doubt on that, as the GOW 4 was, this one reveal a whole new level on storytelling for me.

    Combat was a little bit better on this one compared to the last game, and to be honest i think it is not a mindblowing upgrade to the last GOW, it is just, better if you know what i mean. Sometimes there's fights when it does not feels it should be one, feels like that fight is there for filling more time into de game, and maybe that point it's just on me but i kinda felt it like that, for me combat is an straight 8/10.

    There is 2 characters that evolves and take part of the great God of War Ragnarök story, and they are Brok and Sindri, i can't explain without spoilers how this 2 characters are so important and made its way to the player's heart, truly a great character evolution between the last and previous game.

    For me the game lasted about 25 hours without the side missions, straight to the story, and its ok, i mean, 25 hours are fine, i struggle with time to play videogames and i feel the time was right.

    And the ending of this game is just glorious, i don't want to talk about it much but it is just incredible.

    God of War Ragnarök is truly a masterpiece, impressive how they manage to pull this off but Santa Monica Studio, you really made it, and i'm thankful for your work.    … Expand

    Uno de los mejores títulos de Play Station. Es una continuación que mejora todo lo anterior con una mitología nórdica fantástica. Los combates pueden ser un poco repetitivos cuando llevas unas horas jugando, pero la historia atrapa de tal manera que querrás saber como acaba. Santa Monica lo volvió hacer ¡Bravo!

    It's a great game with a better story than the first game. A cinematic masterpiece. I don't like cutscenes in games, but I watched all cutscenes carefully and lovingly in this game.

    Made me feel, and that is good. There is a time and place for mindless games, but some times I really need a good story, with good combat, good music and stunning looking game to really make me remember why I like videogames.

    With great enemy variety and super diverse combat options even from the start, it felt even more fun to hack n slash monsters than in the original God of War (2018).     The great cast of characters was a lot more fleshed out, involving them in different parts of the story, usually as team ups with varied combinations. This ended up being a fantastic idea in order to give each of them a lot of time interacting with each other and expressing their feelings or telling their stories, also further developing different relationships.

    Atreus was more mature and had a lot more to say in this one, he was no longer either a docile punching bag or a bratty rebel, Kratos himself grew a lot as well.

    The set pieces were spectacular and I've also enjoyed the enemy design a lot more, especially in terms of the bigger opponents, it felt like I could interact with them consistently and they were a lot more visible and transparent with their attacks.

    The acting performances were also amazing, I could really feel the emotion coming out of them during dramatic moments as well as being charmed or otherwise amused at the more comical scenes.

    If I had any criticism it would be with the way some fights are designed... in the sense that sometimes there seems to be a philosophy of "throw as much stuff at Kratos as possible in order to increase difficulty", which, combined with the enemies being able to instantly jump backwards on the opposite end of the entire arena and multiple enemies surrounding you or throwing moving balls of fire at you, it turns into a fiesta where you have to track a million things at once with a relatively limiting camera.    … Expand

    It's a good game but the puzzle solving and playing as atreus is exhausting and let down.. I feel they seriously didn't need to add the unnecessary puzzles and make it cheap

    first, I thought that this game is just an asset flip from the first one and I hated to see the same animations and textures. But after playing for 6+ hours I didn't care about that stuff because I was engaged in the story, characters and gameplay. This game feels like the first part, but better.

    Beautiful game. Great characters and story. Loved exploring the realms. Only negative is that the pacing is quite lacking on a a few occasions but overall an amazing experience.

    Just 100% completed the game and I will just say this. I enjoyed the story more in the previous game however everything else is improved and feels better in Ragnarok that is why I feel like coming back to this game rather than the last one. Also I teared up a few times which rarely happens so kudos to SMS! If you own a PS4 or PS5 this is a must play!

    God of war ragnarok is gonna be ma last gow game probably. Cause i will leave gaming as a whole soon.
    So this was like a final chance at the gow franchise for me. Lets go..

    Story- 8.5/10- So much wasted potential and bad pacing. However, it was so engaging and a refreshing way because, its the longest gow game ever and its RAGNAROK!!
    Kratos and Atreus already understand each other, however things still go wrong in their way and its the final arc of the father and son bonding and its just so emotinal and heart-warming to see ma old man smile....     … Expand

    Idk why this masterpiece is rated so low. Definitely an upgrade from GoW 2018. Just don't expect a completely new game with mechanics never seen. It just takes the first game and makes it better, longer and overall more enjoyable.

    The greatest game ever made in my opinion. Everyone should try it. If you like action-adventure games and a good story, you'll cry, you'll laugh like a child and all the emotions in between, all the while mesmerized by a beautiful world, characters and soundtrack. Just go for it, man

    I can't help but tip my hat to the entire Santa Monica team. The deeper you delve into the game, the more you'll be drawn into the stunning story of a father and son against the backdrop of perhaps history's most horrific war. Throw in some casually endearing humour, great and fluid gameplay, and wrap it all up with an amazing audiovisual experience. [Issue#323]

    Thanks to an amazing cast that’s doing an outstanding job, a compelling story told through the eyes of multiple characters, and top-notch combat, this epic and heartfelt journey strikes all the right chord. It’s impossible not to recommend God of War Ragnarok, but just in case you had any doubts, I strongly advise anyone mildly interested in gaming to play Santa Monica Studio’s latest masterpiece.
