    It’s pretty much the second half of the first game. Basically as if it were a giant DLC and clearly is a PS4 game that is slightly enhanced with higher FPS and Resolution for the PS5. The games concludes the story arc of Kratos and in a rather uncompelling manner and basically makes the story of the first game pointless. This game could have been a DLC

    I have never seen such a large amount of hand holding in an open world game. Stopped after 2 hours. Visually stunning, definitely the best looking game this year.

    No se puede consentir todo a Sony, no pueden vender un juego que lleva en el nombre una de las sagas más emblemáticas de la historia del videojuego, y que visualmente no innove en nada con respecto al de 2018.     No se puede consentir todo a Sony, no pueden vender un juego que lleva en el nombre una de las sagas más emblemáticas de la historia del videojuego, y que visualmente no innove en nada con respecto al de 2018. Es un juego pasillero a más no poder (falsamente la prensa de los videojuegos a nivel mundial nos lo han querido vender cómo la octava maravilla en un mundo abierto).

    No haces más que andar adelante y atrás en multitud de escenarios mientras Atreus te calienta la cabeza. Los escenarios son aburridos, repetitivos a más no poder. Los oponentes y sus físicas son de risa (por no decir que se quedan bugueados más de una vez, al igual que Kratos que se me ha quedado flotando fuera de uno de los escalones por los que trepas en dos ocasiones), las formas de atacar de los diferentes tipos de adversarios son básicamente las mismas.
    El audio merece una mención a parte, porque también falla. En ocasiones se quedan pillados los sonidos de respiración de Kratos en bucle, y también otros efectos sonoros.

    Es un juego lento, carece de ritmo (hasta hacerse tedioso y aburrido) y para colmo tras 12 horas de juego te puedes echar las manos a la cabeza con el absurdo inclusismo metido a calzador.

    Lo siento, soy un fan acérrimo de la saga. Pero esto no es ni la sombra de lo que ha sido Kratos y God of War.

    Por suerte la tienda online donde lo he comprado no pone pegas a la hora de devolver un juego abierto. Recuperaré los 80€ y cuando valga 20€ o incluso menos, entonces lo volveré a comprar por el mero hecho de tener mi saga favorita completa, pero poco más. Porque es un sin sentido lo que le han hecho.    … Expand

    Filme interativo e extremamente fácil até na sua dificuldade mais difícil.

    In Poland they did **** Game was described as game in full Polish language version. Unfortunally it's only about subtitles in box version. Digital version have subtitles and dubbing. Playstation only wrote on twitter that they know this problem. no "sorry" no estimated patch time, no nothing. They don't answer on comments. **** that. Bought game for full price, have 85% game.

    Santa Monica fails to delives large scale boss battles yet again! This game is bloated and when i say bloated, Santa Monica put hours long slow walk cinematic levels aka Disney theme park levels! These are travesty in God of War game.

Kratos is now going to be worshipped, the Norse gods died, the prophecy that kratos would die wasn't true because apparently Sony doesn't want to kill their golden goose. Such an MCU ending. Kratos has literally killed all the people of Greece because when the Olympians died Greece itself died but now people worship him because he is a decent father?

    This game should have been about kratos doing everything he can to avoid Ragnarok because he knows when you kill the gods the lands itself dies and it should have ended with kratos dying.    … Expand

Just another terrible overrated third person walking simulator with reused assets and boring gameplay. In its core just a 80$ DLC for the already bad 2018 version. Stay away from it if you actually like video games and not movies.

    Over hyped glorified DLC. Just a PS4 game running in PS5. Charging full price for this is insane. This is an expansion pack to the last gow. Nothing new here just another set piece action sequence game no new exciting experiences what’s so ever.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. GoW 2018 was amazing in many aspects, while lacking in others. Story was great, depth of character was great, combat was great (perhaps not ideal fo h'n's fans) etc. It lacked enemy variety, boss fights and half the realms. Ragnarok provides on most.

    However, it feels like the devs tried to fit so much in a game that it ended up feeling sloppy or not as polished as its predecessor. I liked some side quests, they were decent. Berzerker fights are an adequate replacement of the valkyries for example. Though the squirrel was incredibly boring and out of place. This isn't Marvel. 2018 was a drama while this one feels way lighter. A similar example is Lunda, the new dwarf. She feels really superficial, forced and there is nothing to create a bond between her and the player. And that could be a summary for the whole game. Freyr is shallow and cocky, 'Tyr' was pathetic and really contributed next to nothing, the guy who used to be the boar (WTF santa monica) was so out of place and of no actual importance, Thrud is boring and in general all character have only one side and that's it.

    As far as the story is concerned, it feels like it was written not because the devs had something in their mind but because they had to release something about ragnarok. The game tries to touch so many things though it ends up not actually touching most of them. The guy who was the boar. Why was he important? why couldn't he be just a regular guy and he had to be the boar? The shrine at the end of the game. WTF does it show that's so important? Why and how did Faye opposed her people? How by hidding their future she allowed them to shape it (regardless of them doing exactly what she hid from them). Why doesn't Atreus share the fact that he saw his father die with Kratos? Also, in many occassions people reffer to the prophecy while appart from Faye being a giant, Atreus being Loki and Kratos dying in the end, nothing else was shown.

    Although the worst part must be playing as Atreus. The most indifferent character ever. Archery rarely does any good and, while holding only a bow, most of the times you end up spamming melee attacks. He goes to Asgard and uses Thor in fetch quests that actually have little meaning. This guy killed his two sons and yet Thor doesn't do anything while they go on missions together. Odin, the all-father needs the help of a teenager to unravel the secrets of the mask. The BOY does so in a matter of seconds while Odin has been on it since the dawn of time. How does the fire giant screws over prophecy and becomes ragnarok by sheer will and the blades of chaos? How does the Ragnarok being comes to end? How did Angrboda shape the ending as she said? What happens with the giants trapped in the marbles? All this is bad writing.

    Finally, the armor sets are so few and all so **** ugly! 2018 had some ugly pieces but some were ok. In ragnarok it's like they held a competition in the office and the 10 ugliest armors would make it in the game.    … Expand

El juego que pudo ser y no pudo.Uno de los personajes principales que aparecen en el ragnarok es precisamente Fenrir y aparece dos veces y timidamente.El aspecto en el juego es de un perro-lobo y no el de un lobo propio de las tierras nordicas.Odin parece Lentulo Batiato de Spartacus.Al igual que con Thor se puso como esta descrito no entiendo porque otros personajes no,empezando que no existge la raza africana en la mitologia nordica. Lo habeis puesto forzosamente porque SI existen interpretaciones de Angrboda ,de su madre y de su abuela. Esto es lo que ocurre cuando crees que un juego va a tener altas especativas y te encuentras con un juego sobrevalorado.Comprendo que las franquicias deben renovarse,pero esta no fue el caso para GOW ragnarok. A nivel de musica GOW 2018 es bastante superior. Todavia quedaban cosas pendientes en Grecia.Los personajes indican la solucionde los puzzles demasiado pronto.Como broche final no esta a la altura.… Expand

    I expected more from this game. Sadly, it feels like a copy and paste from God of War 2018. The lack of innovation really hurts the narrative and dull gameplay. Once you look past the hype, this game is just another linear action game with a decent narrative.

    God of war 2018 is masterpiece. More than half of Ragnarök was slogfest.
    Dreadful Atreus levels w very limited exploration and rewards
    Then u got forced walk n talk, automatic platforming with zero danger and npc ''narrator'' telling u what to do 90% of the time. Game developers treat the player as baby....
    Very rushed ending

Combat is ok but still if an enemy is higher level you get 1-2 shot so the only way to use skill is by never getting hit. Ever since the time I started the game, I felt something was off but then the **encounter** happened (aka first major cutscene to avoid giving any spoilers) and I thought the game was back on track. Little did I know that that cutscene was it. The absolute high point of the game - everything went downhill from there. The repetitive combat is no fun, enemies keep popping out every few seconds for no obvious reason whatsoever, then the oh so unnecessary puzzles to just increase play time. At no point did I ever enjoy the game but because of forever being a GoW fanboy - I sat and played through this excruciating game hoping it would improve and dazzle me - any moment now - just like it's predecessors did. That never came to pass and I ended up more frustrated then when I had started. Seriously Sony, Santa Monica - did a kid write this story, also, why are Odin and Thor using everyday slangs we use in today's time when conversing - what happened to trying to stay sort of true to the source material . Seriously are you guys just mocking your fans at this point.
    Anyway, please go into this game with extremely low expectations if you want to have a good time. For long time Kratos fanboys- please try and stay from this mockery of a once great franchise- you'll thank me.    … Expand

    I regret buying this game for a full price. It is not a game, it is an interactive movie. Boring levels, cant go anywhere, invisible walls everywhere, combat is exactly same as the previous title.
    Ok movie, bad game.

    So most of this game is cutsence, some of them really cut the mood for me, if I had any advice, just play this on YouTube, don’t waste 70$ for a game movie.

    I can't help but tip my hat to the entire Santa Monica team. The deeper you delve into the game, the more you'll be drawn into the stunning story of a father and son against the backdrop of perhaps history's most horrific war. Throw in some casually endearing humour, great and fluid gameplay, and wrap it all up with an amazing audiovisual experience. [Issue#323]

    Thanks to an amazing cast that’s doing an outstanding job, a compelling story told through the eyes of multiple characters, and top-notch combat, this epic and heartfelt journey strikes all the right chord. It’s impossible not to recommend God of War Ragnarok, but just in case you had any doubts, I strongly advise anyone mildly interested in gaming to play Santa Monica Studio’s latest masterpiece.
