Every system in the game is inferior to comparable systems in Diablo 3:
    - Nightmare Dungeons are boring versions of Greater Rifts
    - Builds can't be stored and changing to another build is very convoluted
    - There are no social features, you have to use Discord to find other players whereas in Diablo 3 you could just jump in with 3 other people and have fun
    - etc.

To add insult to injury, the patch before Season 1 made everyone weaker and squishier, removes quality of life and is generally a big slap in the face of players.

Dear Blizzard employees, if anyone ever reads this, please try looking critically at the game and please don't forget what Diablo 3 has achieved in the 10+ years it was being polished. I really hope that Diablo 4 can reach the same heights which Diablo 3 achieved, and soon.

Diablo 4's latest patch notes are disappointing. The attempt at balancing gameplay falls short, leaving some classes overpowered and others weak. The loot system changes lack depth, and endgame content remains repetitive. Multiplayer is plagued by connectivity issues, and the storytelling feels shallow. The game's potential is wasted, leaving players frustrated and dissatisfied.

The game's potential is wasted, leaving players frustrated and dissatisfied.
To make matters worse, Diablo 4 managed to strip away the essence of an action role-playing game, delivering a hollow experience without real action or satisfying looting mechanics. The lack of engaging combat and rewarding loot progression leaves players questioning what happened to the beloved franchise they once knew. It's a disheartening departure from the very core that made Diablo games legendary, leaving fans yearning for the days of true action and meaningful loot drops.

They realized people were having way to much fun and were strongly able to beat mid game level content, so they patch and nerf everybody. Sorcerers needed help and instead they buff every single aspect of the class that nobody plays then NERF EVERYTHING FOR EVERY CLASS.

An Unforgivable Letdown: Diablo 4's Latest Patch Earns a 0/10 from a Disheartened Player

As an avid and dedicated player of Diablo 4, I can't help but feel utterly disappointed with the game's latest patch. It seems that Blizzard has ignored the impassioned feedback from the community, resulting in a patch that is nothing short of a disaster. From my perspective, this update has only further tarnished the once-promising title.

One of the most frustrating aspects of this patch is Blizzard's blatant disregard for player feedback. Despite countless pleas and suggestions from the community, the developers have turned a blind eye to our concerns, leaving us feeling unheard and unvalued as players. Blizzard's lack of consideration has sowed the seeds of resentment among the player base regarding the game's future development.

The introduction of new legendaries, or lack thereof, feels like an insult to our dedication and enthusiasm. We were promised exciting and innovative items to enrich our gaming experience, yet what we received were unimaginative and lackluster additions. The joy of discovering powerful new gear has been replaced with disappointment, making the loot hunt feel like an exercise in futility.

To make matters worse, Blizzard has intentionally slowed down the game to an excruciating crawl. What was once an adrenaline-pumping action RPG has now become a tedious slog. The once-thrilling battles have lost their excitement, and the game's pace has been suffocated by unnecessary difficulty spikes. This decision feels like a punishment rather than a challenge, making it impossible to find enjoyment in the game.

Blizzard's design philosophy seems to have taken a disheartening turn. Instead of rewarding players for their dedication and skill, the company appears intent on making us work harder for fewer rewards. It's as if they are intentionally undermining our efforts to artificially prolong the game's lifespan. This "work harder, get less" approach only serves to drive players away, rather than encourage continued engagement.

As an unhappy player, one of the most frustrating aspects is the continuous stream of broken promises from Blizzard. We were led to believe in the game's potential and the developers' commitment to delivering a polished and fulfilling experience. However, each new patch seems to exacerbate existing issues rather than resolving them. This betrayal of trust has left me questioning the future of Diablo 4 and my willingness to continue investing my time and energy into a game that has strayed so far from its initial promises.

In conclusion, Diablo 4's latest patch has proven to be a catastrophic failure from the perspective of an unhappy player. The disregard for player feedback, uninspiring legendaries, intentional game slowdown, questionable design philosophy, and unkept promises have resulted in an experience that feels unrewarding, frustrating, and disheartening. As an impassioned player who once had high hopes for the game, I can only hope that Blizzard will take a serious look at these grievances and take meaningful steps to restore the faith and enjoyment of its player base. Until then, I can't help but give this patch a score of 0/10.

How do you systemically destroy the casual player base in Diablo IV
It's one heck of a loaded question and realistically the Diablo team (Fun Police) decided to butcher (nerf) everything that made this game a fun experience. I feel like this patch has truly killed any hope of the casual player base sticking around in the coming days.

For those that are grinders like myself who enjoy Diablo, I had a few friends message me yesterday and told me they uninstalled and left
"Patch broke my build that I had spent hours on so I could survive T15. I don't have a lot of hours to grind you know that Blu."

"Hey man, I come home from work and I'm exhausted and I just want to have fun and play a game. I didn't sign on to this. It's not fun anymore and I can barely get through a T40 dungeon.
I used to do T50-55 and now I'm just done. I can't do it anymore, I'm out"

When we invest in a game we want to be able to enjoy it and have fun, right

With the new patch, they killed it. Applause for the dev team. From the day that game released, players been waiting for logical changes. They just made it worse. They even nerfed the almost-dead class, sorceress. They have no idea about players expectation. I doubt if dev team even played the game. Such a dissapointment...

There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.
