The game has been out for weeks and I've been playing it a lot leveling up my character getting strong recently the game developer released an update for the game that changed everything about how my character works making it completely weak making all the time I spent wasted I am not happy he will not be playing this game again

S1 brings nothing new to the endgame and makes enemies artificially harder while giving you nothing in return. The only thing this company cares about is how to keep you logged in the game as much as possible while providing no incentive for it. They just need to you to be there so they can boast about active players
F*ck you Blizzard for ruining one of the favorite franchises of an entire generation. You lazy, creatively bankrupt, lying dumb*sses.
Can't wait for the Microsoft acquisition to be completed, so they can kill this animated corpse of a once-great company and end the agony once and for all.

Blizzard don’t listen community. No end game, no improvement, just massive nerf to hide this game has no content. Blizzard is sinking.... it's a quote but it perfectly sums up everything. was quiet fun before the patch for season 1 but no base game stinks and the "new" content is a laugh

Started with great potential, but developers decide to nerf everyone, hitting the weakest class even harder than the other ones. No motivation to continue playing. Too late for me to get my money back, but anyone reading this and hasn't bought the game yet: Wait to see if the devs come to their senses again!

The game was fun in the beginning but becomes like a chore to play after the campaign. Unfortunately the devs are making the game much more slower to play to a point that I regret buying the game. Please play Diablo 2 instead.

Game doesn’t have enough endgame content, so developers “fix” this issue by making the grind to endgame take considerably longer with their most recent patch.

The infamous pattern of Blizzard developers who think they’re smarter than the consumers who put hours and hours into the game has repeated itself once again. Such a disappointment. Really had hope that Diablo 4 would be a change in

The developer are obviously out of touch with why people are playing their game. They nerfed the top most builds but by doing it the way they did the people who are rocking perfect gear took an even harder hit. If they have a problem with power creep find a way to cap the top without hitting us players at the bottom

My build that was clearing lvl 60 NM dungeons and improving and now is now barely clearing lvl 40s. It’s like they want you to get stuck in mid end game. They said in the last big patch that they would increase mob density for helltide zones. Apparently increasing mob density means the mystery chest takes more cinders to open and that the chance for cinders to drop is significantly decreased. Stupid. They had a good thing going and honestly I think a few classes just straight up need buffs. Maybe they will realize how stupid the update is and will fix it, it’s Blizzard though so I doubt I’ll enjoy the game again. Expand

Forget Diablo until now. The current developers are incompetent. In response to the lack of content, they take steps to increase playtime by slowing down the growth rate. It's like taking steps to slow down the roller coaster to the customer's response that the roller coaster is short.

    - No mount changes at all

    - Powerleveling just got gutted so now you can't even boost characters anymore

    - World Tier 2 got a slight gold buff and item buff, 0 XP buffs which was the main issue

    - Level scaling on monsters puts them a few levels lower so XP has gone down AGAIN

    - Channel time for leave dungeon is 5 seconds instead of 3, why? Why add more time waste? Such a weird unnecessary change, I haven't seen this brought up once

    - No roadblock changes

    - Helltide Mystery chest cost increased from 175 to 250, why? Why is this necessary?

    - Hamstring only slows healthy enemies? Why?

    - " There is no longer a limit to how many materials you can refine into higher materials at once. " WHY WAS THIS EVEN IN THE GAME? They literally made bad changes just to revert them back and say "we're making progress"

    - Main stats nerfed on weapons by half

    - CDR nerfed on all gear

    - All Crit damage nerfed by 17%

    - All vulnerable damage reduced by 40%

    - Damage to CCed enemies reduced by 30%

The fact is, people are getting bored. This is an ACTION RPG with slow paced action. It's a LOOT hunter with boring loot. This is an MMO with no social aspects. A dungeon crawler that feels more like a game of fetch the stones and put them on the pedestals.

New season patch nerf everything. Nerf to all the fun and sorcerer is the worst class now.
Sorc Teleport on PS5 is junk , you cannot teleport full screen like on PC. The sorc teleport on PS5 distance is same like evade.
    Elemental resist is not working.
Horse sprint on PS5 is not full sprint like on PC.

Whats even crazier is that you cant get any uniques since the drop rate on those are .000001%. The game was meant for unemployed people that don’t have **** all to do. It was also meant to have people sucked into the game to kill themselves with. So if you like your mental health and hygiene don’t get this game totally isn't worth and saving you money. Everything was OK ish until I went into a cellar and I couldn't kill the elite. And I was with a clan member. Vampiric elite that just replenished its health before we could even drop it below 50 percent. I saved the clip. It's so ridiculous. It's summer anyways. As someone who isn't involved in game development, I don't fully grasp the inner workings of the Blizzard offices. I assume there are teams, separate from the developers, that pay attention to player feedback and balance the game accordingly. There should also be a team responsible for ensuring that the changes in each patch align with what the community needs, addressing necessary nerfs without going overboard.

They must have been aware of the potential issues that would arise, right? They should have anticipated this situation. So, the only conclusion I can draw is that they intentionally wanted to start fresh. Perhaps they want us to spend more time grinding during the upcoming season, aiming to maximize player retention, whether by choice or by the force of Blizzard's actions.

Blizzard must have gathered a significant amount of data on the time it took players to reach level 100. However, it appears they focused on streamers rather than the average players who worked hard to reach level 56 and were content with their progress. They used this knowledge to ensure such progress doesn't happen in Season 1, resulting in across-the-board nerfs.

It also seems likely that they assume we will forget about these issues when creating our seasonal characters. While this may be true for many players, there will be legitimate quits due to this debacle. Blizzard seems to welcome both outcomes, wanting players to forget about their previous strength.

Numerous posts have referred to this as Public Beta 1.1, and that analogy couldn't be more accurate. Blizzard likely couldn't risk giving full game access to actual beta testers, as they would have torn it apart and damaged its ratings. So instead, we got a glimpse—a necessary risk because the game was rushed. Even if it wasn't rushed, they would never have known how the game would truly fare once released to the masses. Now, having learned from this experience, we're facing the mega-nerf.

This mega-nerf establishes a new baseline, and I highly doubt they will repeat such a drastic move. At this moment, I share the frustration and disappointment felt by everyone else. I'm not here to make excuses. I simply want to express my frustrations, seek understanding, learn from past experiences with this studio, and hope for improvement in the game. I also wish for every individual involved in this decision to have recurring nightmares until the game becomes stable and players are satisfied. This situation is truly disappointing, and my faith in Blizzard has been shaken.

As Ron has shown with the Gears games he cannot maintain a positive run on a game and this shows again with Diablo 4... with the 7/18/23 update coming out its safe to say that fans weren't apart of the discussion for how to improve the game and the only thoughts of fans were how can we take away the fun, the xp and the coop experience, aspect nerfing. The entire update around 7/18 was simply to destroy all the different areas that allows a player to have fun and enjoy their time. There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.
