Nov 17, 2017a game completely destroyed by the abysmal practices of the developer, im sorry for dice , but ea is garbage
thanks for scaming the star wars fanbase -
Nov 16, 2017EA's Greed has brought this game to shame. Such a waste of the Star Wars License. Lootboxes and Micro-transactions should be banned indefinitely, ruined this game and exposing children to GAMBLING.
-
Nov 16, 2017
-
Nov 16, 2017I discovered microtransactions in Star Wars: Battlefront II and the controversy has blown up in EA's face. I will not spend a dime on loot boxes after paying $60 for the game. They are preying on young children too. Let's boycott the game as users until this goes away.
-
Nov 16, 2017The only good thing about this game is that it's put the gambling-like nature of buying loot boxes in games out in the zeitgeist. People completely unrelated to this game know about and holding it up as an example of corporate greed preying on consumers.
-
Nov 16, 2017
-
Nov 16, 2017Unplayable from a single player/offline perspective due to corporate/beuracratic greed. Please do not support this unacceptable behavior, or this will continue in the future.
-
Nov 16, 2017EA should focus on making a good game and letting it sell as it deserves, instead of limiting the game to get more money. I refused to buy another EA game with these current practices.
-
Nov 16, 2017Star Wars Battlefront 2 was better on older consoles likes ps2 and original xbox. Don't buy this game don't support EA unless you want pay to win mechanics in all of your games
-
Nov 16, 2017Would have been a pretty good game if it weren't for the damn microtransactions forcing you to pay to access **** that you PAID for when you bought the game!
-
Nov 16, 2017Lootboxes at their worst, yet typical for EA. They could have worked out a better way to get extra money from the game, so the people who already paid full price would not feel forced to pay possibly thousands of dollars (no joke, unlocking everything costs over a thousand dollars). It's starting to fire back on them, as they deserve.
-
Nov 16, 2017Yes, this is just another hate review. I won't buy this game and I am sure EA won't mind at all this bad buzz for the game as long as it sells but this is a way to making us be heard. I'm doing my part
-

-
Nov 16, 2017I absolutely reject the idea of microtransactions for anything on paid games (even more if they're games prices +$50 and the microtransactions are not only for cosmetic items).
Buying - or not refunding - this legitimates the foreseeable future of gaming. Pay for the game, pay again to play it. -
Nov 16, 2017
-
Nov 16, 2017EA comes out as excessively greedy with this game that is entirely based on pay2win mechanism
This is the kind of thing one see on cheap apps on Apple Store, not what you'd expect from a premium game. -
Nov 16, 2017EA is the most evil money grubbing game company in the market that ruins everything they touch, including this game which would otherwise be great. Thanks EA. Thanks for ruining the hard work of the developers who spent sleepless nights making this polished game to turn it into complete corporate money grubbing ****

Nov 16, 2017It's a shame that we waited so long for a game that is a shell of the original. It's a pay to win Mobil game that is being sold as a full price game.
It either takes thousands of hours or thousands of dollars to unlock the most useful items.
Maybe someday we will get a proper battlefront 2, but it's not this current game. -
Nov 16, 2017Pay2Win can kiss my @ss. This would be an amazing game if the publishers didn't push features like lootboxes. The lootbox system in this game is literal gambling. So if EA and Disney want to connect Star Wars titles to gambling, that's their decision but its a decision that sucks.
-
Nov 16, 2017Locking tons of content behind a grindy paywall is something you would expect from a scummy free to play game, not a $60 AAA experience. EA's greed has killed a better than average game.
-
Nov 16, 2017The only "sense of accomplishment" Battlefront fans will get from this game is in the form of pride in the **** they've created against one of the worst implementations of micro transactions in a AAA, full price game ever. As consumers an a capitalistic society it is everyone's duty not to support devs who ruin the games we love for profit.
-
Nov 16, 2017This game is everything that i hate about EA. KIlling games with good mechanic with Pay-to-win model and Microtransactions.
If Luke was real. He would jump off a building if he sees what EA done with this franchise.
If Vader was real. He would jump in the lava again.
If Yoda was real. He would say "these **** are nuts if they think i'd pre-orders this pile of **** -
Nov 16, 2017EA decided to incorporate loot boxes, gambling, pay to win, and grinding into a $60 game. On top of that, they had the balls to call the game "Star Wars Battlefront II", which is an insult to one of the greatest video games of all time
-
Nov 16, 2017Lootcrates are form of gambling. Sometimes you win what you want and sometimes you don't win what you want. That's gambling isn't it. EA wants us to gamble to win in Battlefront 2
-
Nov 16, 2017The very embodiment of Pay to win itself. EA has truly suffered from this game - not only will features be locked behind a paywall, but we also won't be falling into the trap of paying for them.
I hope you're happy. EA - it's in the Pay. -
Nov 16, 2017salut depuis paris France allez on va place une sale note EA qui a tendance de prendre ce client pour des idiot.
Pay2Win NON. il en a mare d'être la vache a lait des multi. -
Nov 16, 2017Like an ill-fated case of hemorrhoids, microtransactions have rubbed raw the anus of the gaming community. With EA's gangrenous, malformed hand as its guide, Battlefront II is a red hot iron defiling that already inflamed anus.
-
Nov 16, 2017You know why EA. Pay to win does not belong in gaming. Your business model is that of pure greed. NO ONE should buy this game. DO NOT support this behavior.

Nov 16, 2017A full priced game, broken unless you buy lootboxes. It makes me absolutely sick at the greed of the industry. Trying to pay to get the full game would cost $2100. It's disgusting.
-
Nov 16, 2017Hey EA, just learned you removed the micro transactions from BF2. Don't care, hope this game suffers cause you thought that was okay to begin with. If this is in the next battlefield game the same response will happen.
-
Nov 16, 2017Dont let EA fool you just yet!, their new tweet means nothing considering the following:
Quote: "the ability to purchase Crystals in-game will become available at a later date" meaning its not gonna be removed at all just modified into something else... KEEP THE FIGHT GOING.
defend your rights as gamers, consumers and most of all STAR WARS FANS. -
Nov 16, 2017I was exited about this game, but no hope for EA can't believe they charge you for all. We pay the game or not? If they make a good solo campaign and give you a good multilayer they will make a lot of money. I do not want a mobile game....
-
Nov 16, 2017Thanks DICE for making what could have been an incredible game. But EA had to come along and screw it all up. So to EA, fix your crap and stop abusing this industry
-
Nov 16, 2017If EA had their way, the next Star Wars games that comes out will have a "saga" at the end of the title. Then they would would be able to unleash their true P2W platform.
-
Nov 16, 2017A cool game ruined by the greed of EA, we need to get together and stop supporting this kind of practices.
I cancelled my preorder and will not buy another game from EA for a long time. I don't care if they are "trying to fix" this things, it sickens me the fact that they even thought about it. -
Nov 16, 2017The epitome of greed. Sure, it looks pretty, the game play is fine, and it has the "Star Wars" name, but if you buy this game, you are continuing to send a message to EA that ridiculously over-priced and predatory microtransactions are okay for a game you already paid $60 for, and therefore should have access to most (if not all) of the content within a reasonable time-frame. I don't… Expand
-
Nov 16, 2017If you want to read this review, you'll have to purchase the deluxe viewing package for the low low price of $149.99. You will then be overwhelmed with a feeling of pride and accomplishment.
-
Nov 16, 2017Had to make an account just to speak my opinion. This apology from EA about their anti-consumer behavior is a false flag. Removing the pay to win content/microtransactions is only temporary until people forget and the dust settles. Screw them, they are the sleaziest scumbag publisher in the industry. This game is a disaster of epic proportions.
-
Nov 16, 2017The way EA is willing to take money from players is just disgusting. That crazy micro transaction system killed this game, which is not perfect by the way.

-
Nov 16, 2017Yes, EA has finally taken out micro-transactions. No, that does not mean the entire game has no been fixed. There is still a daily limit on the amount of credits you can get in arcade mode and the MOST ICONIC HEROES IN THE STAR WARS UNIVERSE ARE STILL LOCKED BEHIND PAY WALLS. So yes, this is a better game, but no, the game is still not fixed
-
Nov 16, 2017Disgusting money grab. Will never buy another EA title. People need to wake up and stop supporting loot boxes in games and double paying for things you already own. They wouldn't exist if they didn't work.
-
Dec 30, 2017lootboxes.
lootboxes.
lootboxes.

I'm not paying 60 dollars and lootboxes. -
Nov 17, 2017This is greed pure greed, warframe has more value for money then this. EA you will burn in hell for your greed same for every other company like them, a true example of human scum.

Nov 16, 2017Sad that #Disney is sponsoring a game that supports #gambling. I won't be buying this game for my children and I will spread the word via social media how despicable @Disney is for this
-
Nov 16, 2017Screw EA
Screw Loot boxes
Screw Pay-to-Win games
Screw locking main characters behind a pay wall
And Screw EA again
I will give 1 point just because it's Star Wars. -
Nov 16, 2017
-
Nov 16, 2017Could have been one of the best games of the year until they added the bull loot crates that completely unbalance the game. No respect for EA. Unfortunately they'll be rewarded by whales who will give them all the money.
-
Nov 16, 2017actually i was going to buy the game, but after watched and read so many facts about how greedy EA become,i don't think this is worth my money..
im also a battlefield player,i just afraid that this kind of bad marketing gonna make its way to battlefield franchise -
Nov 16, 2017P2W Lootbox steaming pile of
-
Nov 16, 2017Star Wars Battlefront II aims to become your religion assuming you feel the only way you can find happiness is to throw money in their offertory every week until you die or they find a bigger pot to accept donations. I believe you will find your money just as well spent on the diety you were raised to praise. Let's hope EA has a better track record with minors than the clergy.
-
Nov 16, 2017Let me tell you something. Ignore all the positive reviews. They are just a bunch of normies who do not understand why this game is awful. This would have been a fantastic game but it was eaten by EA's corporate greed. It's disgusting and EA should be ashamed of themselves. We are winning the battle but not the war.
-
Nov 16, 2017
-
Nov 18, 2017Your easiest way to spend your money. So sad this game owns a "Star Wars" name. I am sure that they have paid huge amounts to Metacritic to set up a good review score. That's really sad.
-
Nov 16, 2017Eating an $100 bill would be a better idea than buying this game. Putting your hand in a toaster would be a better idea than buying this game. Drinking and driving would be a better idea than buying this game. Literally doing anything else would be a better idea than buying this game
-
Nov 16, 2017My favorite franchise ruined by EAs greed. What else have they ruined??? The NFL, command and conquer, need for speed, mass effect...I know there is more.
-
Nov 16, 2017
-
Nov 16, 2017Please don't buy this and encourage this level of greed. It is a decent game ruined by pay-to-win multiplayer and too many microtransactions. They have temporarily disabled microtransactions, but they will be back when all the bad PR dies down. Do not buy!
-
Nov 16, 2017Buggy POS. I have played mobile games with less bugs/issues than this 'AAA' garbage. Do yourself a favor and buy the switch along with super Mario odyssey, life will be better, trust me. Let us all pray that EA will burn in hell, amen.
-
Nov 16, 2017This is my first metacritic review. This game looks very good and seems like a fun game and I would actually like to buy it but due to the business decisions of EA I will not support this game in any way and I encourage others to do the same. Pay to win progression is completely unacceptable.
-
Nov 16, 2017Do not support this game and the company itself. EA is the most hated game company that does shady business practices and star wars battlefront 2 is filled with microtransactions which give players the unfair advantage over players who do not spend. #Pay2win
-
Nov 16, 2017
-
Nov 16, 2017The microtransactions in this game are truly terrible; no matter how good the game itself is, the loot box/pay to win/ gambling system put in place will ruin anything good. The core game is fun, but I can't get over the loot boxes, it is truly pay to win and I will refuse to support it.
-
Nov 16, 2017
-
Nov 16, 2017This game was Only created as a shameful attempt to leech as much money from the consumer as possible. The whole game revolves around highly Pay to WIn elements and unlockables that alter your skills. EA truly is the worst gaming company out there and this embarassment of a game proves it. It shouldn't even be called a game, its that awful.
-
Nov 16, 2017I'm not the kind of guy who goes in the extremes when rating, but SWBF II forces me to award the awful grade of 0/10 due to its pay-to-win policy and that despite spending $60, you still have to pay $2100 to unlock the whole game. We get it EA, you love money and milking your customers dry, but don't overdo it because this is backfiring at you now.
-
Nov 16, 2017Just registered to make this review, i cant believe that after i payed 80 USD on elite trooper edition i was faced by a mobile free to play progression system.
Refunded this game as soon as i got access to play first trial.
I recommend everyone to do the same, even now that micro transactions are TEMPORARILY disabled. -
Nov 16, 2017Unacceptable. If they had just made a Battlefront 2 remastered edition and gave the original more characters, weapons, maps and modes I'd be all over it. Instead it's this Call of Duty wannabe and that's just not ok. I miss my old Starwars Battlefront...
-
Nov 16, 2017Free to play mechanics in a 60$ game? This is **** I won't be buying a copy unless the micro transactions are limited to cosmetic items only. EA is greedy, and doesn't give a **** about the gamers, only about their wallets.
-
Nov 16, 2017This game has potential, but tying micro-transactions to progression is absolutely garbage. The campaign is actually good, it's a shame that you need to put in another $100 to be competitive in multiplayer. Can't believe EA is doing this to Star Wars.
-
Nov 16, 2017Please Do Not Buy until EA confirms permanent removal of Pay To Win system.
Will take thousands of hours to unlock everything.
To Star Wars fans, you will be so disappointed!! -
Nov 16, 2017
-
Nov 16, 2017Need I say more? This is full corporate **** 0 **** about the player experience! Do you have alot of money to throw around and no brain, then that's the game for you!
-
Nov 17, 2017This is Pay2win ! Pay2Win is an absolute deal killer for me no matter how small the microtransaction. I'm disappointed because I was really looking forward to this release for awhile. Definitely will not waste my money or time encouraging this sort of gaming design. It's nauseating.
-
Nov 16, 2017Because EA. Buy this game and support Pay 2 Win and one day you'll find more games like this **** because who won't want to make more money if gamers are willing to suck this up.
-
Nov 17, 201760$ for a 4-5hours single player game and multi player with micro-transactions? NAH, better save the money and buy a dozen beer then share it with my friend.
-
Nov 16, 2017What Ea has done is foul, a game that could have been good, great even has been corrupted by **** business practices, EA has shown no care or respect for their customers. It is despicable, and we need to send a message
-
Nov 17, 2017Good game corrupted by a malicious company set out to rob us through micro-transactions. EA have been getting away with this for years and a boycotting of battlefront will help our voices be heard.
-
Nov 17, 2017
-
Nov 17, 2017Three words for the low score....... Micro transactions Greed. the fact that the game is locked behind a timed paywall for earning credits is just absurd.
-

Mar 1, 2019
-
Nov 17, 201760$ free to play game which is medicore even after putting microtransactions and lootboxes aside. Gameplay gets boring after couple hours and campaing is joke. At least it looks graphically beautiful sometimes.
-
Nov 17, 2017
-
Nov 17, 2017This game had so much potential but it is buggy as hell and should use a free to play model if they are going to take the piss with all these micro-transactions. Load of wank
-
Nov 17, 2017When I pay a full price, I expect a full game. Having to buy lootboxes to be able to play all the characters? What kind of disrespect towards players is it! I can't believe such an amazing franchise is being stained by EAs dirty hands. Disney, give your franchise to a competent development studio instead!
-
Nov 17, 2017I had to create an account to write it. This game is a joke. This must not be allowed to happen to players. How many times do I have to pay for the same game? EA should be ashamed.
-
Nov 17, 2017I give this a 0 for their shady business practice and double-speak corporate language.
They now TEMPORARILY removed the P2W loot-box system. Don't be fooled, peeps! -
Nov 17, 2017This new era of micro-transactions cannot be supported at all. This score was a no-brainer just like EA thought about this micro-transaction system during the development progress.
-
Nov 17, 2017A great game and fun to play, if you pay EA £2000 to unlock it all. Take a stand against this micro transaction BS. If you want to play a good battlefront game go back to the original battlefront 2 on xbox/PS2.

-
Playstation Official Magazine UKFeb 6, 2018Excellent online action offers hours of Stormtooper-shooting fun, but the so-so campaign stumbles, while cynical loot crates leave a sour taste. [Jan 2017, p.83]
-
Jan 21, 2018Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
-
Dec 29, 2017Although game has huge problems with p2w microtransactions, it is still a good and fun gameplay experience with stunning visuals.
