    I never expected less comming from EA, The moneymakers. This is just sad, if we dont say something this kind of games will continuously go on.
    This **** lootboxes is like a virtual casino, gamers are not cumpulsive gamblers, or at least the sensible ones.
    Stop buying lootcrates, and just refound games like that. Its the only way of dealing with this enterprises.

    I have just seen a fully upgraded Darth Vader in-game. The player played like absolute garbage and also seemed to lag a bit and he still mowed down so many enemies. They were like NPCs ( Non player characters aka non paying customers) This is the worst game design I have seen in like forever... Good job EA, you reeeeeaally nailed this one

    I’m sorry, but I cannot support a gaming publisher that treats its customers this way. You do a disservice to both the people that want to play your game, and the developers that spent so much time creating it. I was a fan of the old battlefront games (from the early 2000s). They were great games because they allowed you to immerse yourself into the Star Wars universe WITH NO LIMITATIONS.I’m sorry, but I cannot support a gaming publisher that treats its customers this way. You do a disservice to both the people that want to play your game, and the developers that spent so much time creating it. I was a fan of the old battlefront games (from the early 2000s). They were great games because they allowed you to immerse yourself into the Star Wars universe WITH NO LIMITATIONS. There was no locked content, no lootbox system, just a game that delivered everything that I paid for from the initial purchase. I want to like DICE’s Battlefront 2, I wanted to like DICE’s Battlefront 1 as well, but it seems apparent that the battlefront series that I initially fell in love with no longer exists. So until a day comes when a Star Wars game with the same spirit of simplicity gets made, I must say goodbye to EA’s “battlefront series.” I just ask that everyone makes a logically sound decision with their money when it comes to business practices like this in the future.… Expand

    I've been a big fan of the previous SW: Battlefront and even purchased the season pass. With that said, SW:BF2 has more features, maps and amazing graphics and sound.
    Here is why I'm giving a poor review:
    The new progression system is horrible. Even though Micro-transactions have been TEMPORARILY removed, the pay-to-win formula and lack of clear character progression has doomed this    I've been a big fan of the previous SW: Battlefront and even purchased the season pass. With that said, SW:BF2 has more features, maps and amazing graphics and sound.
    Here is why I'm giving a poor review:

    Loot boxes were obviously invented by a group of evil monks whose only intention is to drain the soul and any modicum of happiness from all who encounter it. Don't be fooled by their recent Press Release, EA has not fixed the problem until Loot Boxes and Micro-transactions are eliminated for good. Bring back Hutt contracts or some other progression system that does not result in a veiled version of gambling.

    If this wasn't a long pre-ordered birthday gift, I would have cancelled my order. Rest assured, I will never, never, never, ever, ever, ever, ever, never, ever, never, never, ever drop another penny into this franchise or any future franchise that attempts to dupe their customers into spending more money to get the full enjoyment out of a game that they have already paid full price for. Did I say never, ever, ever, never, ever, ever, never? Good!

    Maybe there will be a holiday miracle and EA will choose good will towards man/woman/customer over greed/shareholders/evil...    … Expand

    Have heard about the microtransaction in SWBF2, WTF EA?????
    EA raped me long and hard with the SWBF DLC one year ago (no content, **** maps etc...)
    EA Can go F*** itself, I will never buy a game from them again...

    I WILL NEVER BUY A GAME FROM THEM...PERIOD.

    Campaign is great, visuals are great, sound is great. EA being money grubbing, stuff shirt stuffing, Corporate Richards...... Not so great.

    P.s. Loot Crates that AREN'T strictly cosmetic can keep themselves where they belong. Freemium mobile games. Thanks for playing EA.

    The slightly improved gameplay this title offers is not at all worth the predatory micro-gambling system they've implemented into the game. While they've temporarily turned it off, it's clear that they intend to re implement the system at a later time. Unless they make some major changes to that, this game is not worth it at all. The industry really on the whole has and they clearly don't respect hard earned money. I sincerely hope you and others like you go out of business.     The first game was a major disappointment. This is a Disgrace. I feel bad for the developers who tried to make this a great game, only to have their work be shredded and tarnished by corporate greed. This game is an insult to the Star Wars name and the gaming community.

    It is amazing that people are so quick to praise this game for "doing what the first one didn't". While this may be a step up from the half baked product that was Star Wars Battlefront (2015), it is only adding content that should have been in the remake to begin with. How is a average campaign and basic improvements to the online components of the game deserving of positive reviews?     They put a limit to how many credits you can earn by playing daily because, "it is unfair to other players." Yet, you can buy anything you want in micro transactions to PAY TO WIN. An awful mentality, that shows they don't care about gaming, gamers or anything to promote the culture or their game. This is a $60 pay to Win game.

    We fought and we won not but not quite yet, microtransactions will be back. EA needs to understand that a no is a **** NO. All of this makes me sad cause battlefront is a good game but with this progression system and microtransactions coming back I'll not buy this.

Make it cosmetic ONLY and you have yourself an acceptable game. Shame on the publisher for tarnishing an iconic game franchise. Also, the people defending the MT practice are very ignorant.     I know EA isn't the only company in the gaming industry to heavily use micro-transactions in their games, but if the community has to start somewhere and point a finger at somebody to blame, EA deserves it more than any other company.

Player movement is jerky and stuttering, which makes it impossible to aim properly. Second, I have a question: is my weapon supposed to harm the enemy? Because mine never does. Server lag is a big problem. Often, I get the jump on the enemy, I shoot them multiple times point blank, and they just won't go down. It's not uncommon for me to die, and then see my killer appear from behind cover after I'm already dead. In other words, I never had a chance to shoot back because the server was too slow letting me know he was there. Third, the maps are poorly designed. Good shooters have well thought out maps that are conducive to interesting, enjoyable combat. But with these maps, players just run all over the map willy nilly without purpose, trying to kill randomly and collect points so that they can come back as some uber hero. You spend all your time simply trying to find the enemy, and then before you do, you get ear holed by some cheesy mechanic, such as a hero, before you ever have the chance to use your blaster. Fourth, controller responsiveness is poor. The circle button is supposed to make your character roll and crouch. But the response is hit and miss. Sometimes they crouch when you want to roll, roll when you want to crouch, but more often than not it just does neither one, especially when someone is shooting at you. Shield doesn't deploy when I need it. Grenade won't throw when I need it. Etc... Finally, character advancement gives higher level players a big advantage. It is, in a very real sense, pay to win. Other shooters have been smart enough to make advancement more about fun abilities, and not about dominating the battlefield with uber abilities and heroes. Players that had the 3 day early access are basically unbeatable until you level up your own character.… Expand

    This game disappoints. On one hand we have some of the best looking clone troopers, and battle droids. On the other we have a game that is so broken in every other regard. You have a single player story that is okay, but is to short. Everything in the story feels rushed and the cutscenes are only there to move you from one fire fight to another. Regardless of the loot box system this game is a step back on all fronts. The online lacks the one thing that would make it worlds better, and that is a sense of accomplishment. If it had a real "grind" in place, and offered real challenges to the player instead of a loot box lottery system then a lot of the bad could be forgiven.     The highlights would be the stunning visuals and fantastic sound design. DICE always seems toget these right. Unfortunately this is hampered by a buggy launch for both multiplayer and campaign.     Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
