    I cannot recommend this game until EA permanently removes the "pay to win" microtransactions, which are a slap in the face to consumers considering the game is a full price title.     Gamer's need to take a stand with pay-to-play games. I was so psyched for this game, but as the release date got closer I got the details on the paid loot system. I am disappointed and will not pay for a game that encourages paid content in the magnitude that this game does.

    This is one of the lowest point of AAA games. What EA did to Andromeda, NFS and now this is unacceptable. I played multiplayer for the last 5 days and I am appalled by the grinding needed in terms of progression to achieve gameplay satisfaction. It is an insult to gamers to be handed with microtransaction riddled games. It has to stop, and we as gamers should not be further exploited withThis is one of the lowest point of AAA games.     I give it 0 on pay2win schemes, we already pay +/- 60$ for the game on ps4, just give what we pay for for just play the game full without any constraint, and give the access to grind whatever we want on arcade mode, or maybe i would give more user score if ea gives me a bit coin ?     The game is OK, not the most original or inspired thing for DICE, but it could be enjoyable, especially if you are into Star Wars. But the EA business model is outrageous. Very disappointing.

    I don't think i need to explain why I give it a 0. But in short, the game locked many of the main characters at first and you need to grind to unlock them. Which is NOT a problem. The problem? You are capped the credit you can earn in order to unlock them by PLAYING THE GAME, which is, a proper way if you don't aware. EA, however see this as an "exploit" because without capping it willI don't think i need to explain why I give it a 0. But in short, the game locked many of the main characters at first and you need to grind to unlock them. Which is NOT a problem. The problem? You are capped the credit you can earn in order to unlock them by PLAYING THE GAME, which is, a proper way if you don't aware. EA, however see this as an "exploit" because without capping it will create an "unfair multiplayer environment" . But guess what, you are very much welcome, or should I say, strongly incentivize, to pay to unlock, because, well, that CAP to make multiplayer a fair playground is GONE if you PAY.

    To be honest, I sense this game is a trap when they say the expansion will be free. But hell I really didn't expect to see they make such an ugly PR stunt show on reddit.

    I always remind myself don't be a guy who's happy to see other suffer. But hell you have no idea how happy I am seeing EA failed big time like this.    … Expand

    Absolutely love this game! Everything from the sound to the gameplay is phe-no-mo-nwal. Many are complaining about the microtransactions and to them, I say, "Who cares about spending more money?" I love the satisfying feeling of spending money... with my mom's credit card

    I will give a bit more in-depth of a review. I would probably give this game a 6.5/10 were it not for obvious flaws. Gameplay wise it works alright. I find it very casual-player based. Which in and of itself isn't horrible, I just find the leads the matches to be quite short. The lack of being able to choose who's on your squad discourages team-play. Especially when the current mechanicI will give a bit more in-depth of a review. I would probably give this game a 6.5/10 were it not for obvious flaws. Gameplay wise it works alright. I find it very casual-player based. Which in and of itself isn't horrible, I just find the leads the matches to be quite short. The lack of being able to choose who's on your squad discourages team-play. Especially when the current mechanic gives 2x BP (Battle points) for playing with whoever the game pairs you up with. Missed opportunity. I find that gaining battle points themselves needs a bit touching upon. Even when playing the objective I found it rather hard to get those 8k needed for a hero before the imo short match finished.

    Aside from that its a mediocre shooter with the star wars essence painted over.

    EA has ruined the Star Wars genre. My 11 year old son wanted the game but I refuse to buy a game with micro-transactions. The game is already $60, why try to squeeze more money out of us? I should not have to spend extra money on a game for my son to remain competitive.

    Never again will I buy another EA title. Cancelled my EA subscription last night as well. I am done with EA and    EA has ruined the Star Wars genre.     We pay for a AAA game 60 dlls then EA decide that we can pay more than that. I hope EA can learn something from CD Projekt who's have one of the most awsome franchise without lootboxes and 1 player with hours of gamplay, Witcher 3.     I give this a firm hell no out of ten. This is probably the only game that warrants a review without even buying it. Sorry not sorry temporarily turning off the microtrans now does not fix the fact that your progression is hindered by it and you are just going to turn them back on anyway so peace the heck out on this game.

    I had pre-order the game, but then after finding out about how the loot boxes worked, I canceled straight away, funny things is they are not even removing it, but delaying the implementation, I will not buy any games that has loot boxes. I will continue to boycott star wars games and movies because of this until this policy is changed.

    One word: micro-transactions. EA chose to degrade Battlefront ll with their saturation of microtransactions and opt to create a product void of recreational value. Battlefront's multiplayer seems to lack motivation. Why play Battlefront ii when you could simply pay to reap all the benefits?

    The gameplay and graphics are pretty good and the plus of a single player campaign was preety nice, but i can not accept a game that makes me pay $60 to have microtransactions that meddles with the online gameplay if it was just cosmetics than it would less infuriating but unfortunely EA wants to push this loot boxes down our troats.

    I was really looking forward to buying this game, but I felt sick after the release and the state of the game. A short campaign and pay-to-win system for 60€ is just too much. Thanks for helping me decide if I should get Origin Access, guess what my choice was.

    from what i can see the game isn't the best it had a lot of room for greatness yet fell so far from the mechanics to visuals and EA's greed i advise anyone to look at both sides of the reviews before making any decisions to buy the game

Riddled with microtransactions that are constantly in your face and are unignorable seeing as how it is the main way to progress your character.     I always try to give the benefit of the doubt, but there is so little to go off from here. This game is poor, its design is lackluster and its structure is insidious. I just can't help but think that they feel that they can just smack the "Star Wars" name onto this game and assume we will automatically 'buy in'.

    I am not trying to cry or hate but just stating valid facts. Also, performing well in the multiplayer yields very little credits, so people will just throw the match and end it early for fast credits.....so whats the point of playing and having fun when people are just thorwing the matches because they want to get the loot boxes. This really destroy the whole game for me.

    I had told my friends not to buy until they try it in my place which they did and EA you just lost an additional 11 people who could have bought your game. It doesn't seem much but it all adds up when everyone knows of your exploitation on gamers and young kids with enticing them with using cash to buy loot boxes.     Please don't buy this game, if you do, you'll be telling EA that it's ok to deliver an incomplete and mediocre game, and then milk the **** out of your wallet with stupit lootboxes. I think Star Wars deserves a lot better than this. Hopefully Disney will do something about it. I really hope that EA loses the Star Wars licence.

    DICE did a pretty good job with the game in overall.

    But what EA does continuously, it's unforgivable! Don't buy their games!
    My rating goes for EA. Maybe 1/10 is way too generous towards them.

    And yes, they changed a few things because the community forced them to, but don't stop there! We can unite to destroy this current cancerous AAA gaming industry.

    People, believe me on this: I purchased the Deluxe edition, got into the game and was welcomed with 4 lootboxes that gave me IMMEDIATE advantages over other players. And guess what? It still didn't matter because other people had purchased even more lootboxes besides the free ones and on my very first match I was obliterated with no chance of fighting back and there was a Luke Skywalker roaming when he still costed 60.000 credits.

    On my second match, the situation reversed: players had no cards and I was almost impossible to beat. 1 v 1 or 2 v 1 I always dominated. That is when I drew the line about the unfairness: refunded my copy and said goodbye to this trash forever.

Multiplayer is a disgrace to video games with the loot crate system being a necessity unless you want or can play the game for 4500+ hours.     Star Wars Battlefront II provides a greater ambition than the previous installment. It has powerful war scenes, a brand new single player mode, and shows a much more magnificent Star Wars Universe. But just like the Jedi should be ware of the dark side of the Force, this game also meets some similar situations, such as beleaguered microtransaction elements and character growth problems. The first 10 hours of this game is full of surprises; however, the further you play this game, the more disappointed you will get.
