It's without a doubt both easier and harder in different aspects than the previous souls games. The general enemies are easier than they have ever been because you can stealth kill everybody in the level if you choose to but then the mini bosses and actual bosses come along... They aren't the most difficult bosses but they are very challenging and there are very few options to power up and brute force your way through a boss. You can farm xp and money to buy new skills and other things but you can't raise your base stats. If you aren't sure of yourself or willing to improve you could hit a brick wall after a few hours and give up. Combat is very responsive and nearly all the problems like phantom hits, delayed actions after button presses, and unresponsive controls from the souls series have been fixed. On my 1650 at 1080p I get a solid 60fps on a mixture of max and high settings so the game runs well also much better than previous Fromsoft games. The soundtrack beautifully complimented each area and encounter. It's one of the most impactful and memorable scores from their library I have played. I'm an explorer and love finding secrets. Trust me, there are tons of those as you progress and you're rewarded for going off the beaten path. So the game will most likely satisfy you about that. I also don't recommend using any guides on your first playthrough and experiencing everything first hand. Try not to get too angry when you sit back and enjoy ancient castles, bamboo forests, acid swamps, mountain side temples, forsaken villages, and more in this journey you're about to take. Also keep in mind that you will die a lot more than twice. Expand

When I was a child. One day I went to the video game store to buy Metroid 2.
And then the sales lady told me "It may be too difficult for you."
But I said "It's ok! I want this!" Some months later. After having finished the game, I went to the video game store to tell that to the lady. But I found the store gone. Sekiro reminded me of the story and the days I wasn't afraid of challenges.

Being the huge Soulsborne fan I am this was a really refreshing take to the already polished From Software formula. The game takes place during the Sengoku era of Japanese history in the land of Ashina. You play as shinobi Wolf tied up in a battle over the powers of immortality whilst seeking revenge on the samurai clan who attacked you and kidnapped your lord. In comparison to previous From Software titles, the gameplay is very fast paced with a much higher focus on skill rather than stats. The game strips you of your ability to customize stats, choose between weapons and vary your build and instead creates a much more focused and well polished experience where all elements of gameplay feel much more thought out and planned; the game does not suffer the issue of "too many weapons" and instead allows you to vary your play only a bit in terms of combat arts.
It is not for everyone. It is a very difficult beast to master and takes a lot of patience and practice. However this all pays off as the experience becomes much more rewarding when you finally master that boss you have been stuck at for hours and instead of just beating him with great stats or luck, you realize that you have learned the boss and become better at the game. This invokes a true feeling of progression and reward that just leveling cannot give. To conclude, the game is not for everyone. If you are looking for a challenging but fair experience that actually takes effort and skill to beat and not just tedious grinding, this might be the game for you. For fans of the Soulsborne series I highly recommend the game, however know that your previous experience will work against you in the start; you will have to re-adapt to this new and amazing experience.

The combat system is incredibly fluid and getting better at dodging and deflecting is the most important skill in the game. + Japanese voice acting in this game is top-notch.
+ Lots of varied areas and enemies. You will fight humans, monkeys, monsters and more monkeys. Lots and lots of monkeys.

+- The game is very fast-paced. This is alright once you get used to it but might feel too hard while playing the game for the first few hours.
+- Some soundtracks were fun to listen to. Some were "ok".

    - While I like challenging games, this game felt too punishing. Getting hit two to four times while fighting bosses means you are dead. Moreover, some attacks are fast and will one-shot you which is something I haven't encountered in From's previous games. One-shots have always been clearly telegraphed in their previous games (remember Lorian's beam in DS3?) but for some reason they did not follow the same rule in this game.
    - It can take a long time trying to beat some bosses/mini bosses only for you to get killed for getting hit twice. Meh.
    - Headless.

7.Ce jeu a certains des meilleurs boss de l'histoire des jeux vidéo, ne manquez pas Demon of hate.

Sekiro’s level design is much more vertical than Tenchu, so when overwhelmed, there is almost always a way to maneuver out it like a true Ninja would. The stealth elements of Sekiro allow you to get into many positions for silent assassinations or simply explore the varied environments. The trailers never featured much stealth footage, but it is actually very stealth heavy. Players could sneak past around 95% of the game, but it would be unwise to miss out on the experience points. Fortunately, Sekiro is not Dark Souls. Yes, the cameraman still attempts to perform an amateur colonoscopy whenever a large enemy backs you into a corner. And yes, even petty bandits (or frail old ladies) can combo you to death off of one mistake. However, the main difference between this game and the entirety of the Dark Souls canon is that combat is actually fun. Fluid movement, a stamina mechanic that rewards aggression, and excellent visual/sound design all make even standard enemies encounters enjoyable. The implementation of a rudimentary (yet serviceable) stealth system means that working your way back to bosses after you die never becomes unmanageably tedious. The bosses themselves are difficult but not unreasonably so (at least during the first playthrough), and while they can all be defeated "fairly", Sekiro provides enough tools to mercilessly cheese most of them if the player is willing to experiment. While I do have a variety of criticisms ranging from the quality of the story ("minimalist" would be putting it generously) to the limited enemy variety (you fight 4 versions of the same miniboss) to consumable scarcity (certain enemies become very annoying or even borderline impossible to defeat without items you cannot obtain easily until late in the game), none of these are serious enough to deny my enthusiastic recommendation.

Overall, Sekiro is defined by its riveting, challenging, and ultimately highly rewarding gameplay. Stemming from simplicity but giving a wide variety of different combat options, few games come close to matching the exhilarating rush that Sekiro’s best moments provide. Exploring its atmospherically engrossing levels is a treat, from a visual, musical, and atmospheric standpoint. Even if exploration and character storylines are sometimes hampered by Dragonrot, repeatedly severing the immortality of bosses with brutal “Shinobi Executions” and discovering the ritual secrets of eternal life offers a captivating experience that stands out as one of FromSoftware’s best and most distinctive titles.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is an enjoyable, yet deeply challenging game. It's not really a Dark Souls with samurais game, but whether or not you enjoyed the difficulty level of the battles in Dark Souls will be a good benchmark in gauging how much you'll like Sekiro.
