    I can say that I really enjoyed the experience. Before buying the game, I was worried due to some negative comments. But when I got to play Andromeda, I racked up to 150+ hours of gameplay. Combat is great, story is just fine, some characters could be vastly improved. But all things considered, Mass Effect Andromeda isn't half as bad as prople make it sound. I really recommend.

    The game seems to have a lot of copy/paste side quests and exploration padding. I could spend literally several hours messing about here and there and not have any main story update. That did leave a disjointed broken feeling when getting back to the main story. Mining, research, upgrades strike teams and inventory management got to be a micro mange time waster drag.

    Exploring new worlds was a load of fun. Lots of reading to do like the good old Mass Effects to keep the lore junkies happy. The flashy jet pack based combat and flashy driving was fun fluid and fast and never got old.

    Pandemic retry and well this has not aged well. Seeing Mass Effect related stuff is always cool. The gameplay and combat is now kind of ( DAI ) repetitive and shallow. Already knowing the story and game world nothing any more new to see here sadly. The mystery box level or writing was really so much time wasting BS. MEA was a missed opportunity for sure. Looking like it was made by less talented people. compared to who made the previous three ME games.    … Expand

    The Mass Effect trilogy was one of gaming's finest entries. Bioware, in creating Commander Shepard and his memorable allies in an iconic war against an alien species threatening to destroy all life, took a massive risk in creating a new Mass Effect game outside of the original trilogy. If I had picked up this game, having not played the original titles, and it was simply named "Andromeda",The Mass Effect trilogy was one of gaming's finest entries. Bioware, in creating Commander Shepard and his memorable allies in an iconic war against an alien species threatening to destroy all life, took a massive risk in creating a new Mass Effect game outside of the original trilogy. If I had picked up this game, having not played the original titles, and it was simply named "Andromeda", would that change how I viewed the games strengths and shortcomings? Possibly. During the 30 hours I spent in Andromeda, I attempted to play it, ignorant to the ties it had with one of the greatest game series of all time.

    Andromeda is a big game. Its scale is enormous, but it fails to utilise this with anything particularly meaningful outside of the main questline. Lazy dialogue marrs contextually significant conversations, poor facial animations mean conversing with other humans feels a bit of a chore sometimes, and a strange lack of music or ambience in its hub areas means large parts of the game genuinely feel devoid of life. Poorly developed enemies mean there is no real feeling of threat other than in combat, and Andromeda unfortunately tells a lot more than it shows through characters' choices and actions. Andromeda also suffers greatly from lacks in sub-context, subtlety and nuance. You play as a good guy, and there are characters that will help you stop the bad guy. This is fine, if there are multiple layers around it. There aren't really with Andromeda.

    Positives? Combat. Combat is genuinely fun and fluid, and the many customisable options mean that taking on hordes of enemies never feels like a job. Andromeda has beautiful, vast environments that you can traverse on foot or the Nomad (Mass Effect's multi-terrain vehicle). Exploring these gorgeous worlds is fun, and hopping out of the Nomad to kick some baddies butts before getting back in and driving off to complete side quests is mostly satisfying. Andromeda just fails to connect this to anything particularly interesting.

    Part of the original Mass Effect trilogy's strengths were in its wonderfully realised characters, and the loyalty missions which enabled you to build meaningful relationships with them. Fortunately, Andromeda's cast of characters is good, and getting to know your allies, as well as assisting them in their character driven missions is a real joy. You can form romantic partnerships with some of your crew, and there's some genuinely heartwarming moments if you invest yourself.

    The main issue with Andromeda it never becomes better than "good". At its worst, it's average. At its best, it's fun. It's a game that will give you hours of entertainment, exploring beautiful & dangerous alien worlds, and killing its inhabitants. Andromeda is just far too static and slow the rest of the time. RPGs have evolved, and side quests are no longer acceptable if they all involve travelling from point A to point B, killing or finding something then returning. Conversations should not feel skippable, and villains must have either some charisma, or a genuine reason for existing other than being another obstacle. There has to be tension; threat. Unfortunately Andromeda does nothing to really elevate itself above being an enjoyable space opera.    … Expand

    This game is not that bad, when you allow the game to be how it want to be, a new universe, new heroes and a new crew. but the Mass Effect feeling is still there and the story is fine. You could do a lot more in this galaxy but for THIS game it was a nice run. played it through twice, I liked it! Cannot compete with 1-3 though.

    Playing this game in 2020 due to lockdown and lack of games to play, after reading all the negativity about the game I went into it with very low expectations, and to my surprise I enjoyed very second of it. Graphics were stunning for a 2017 game, glad. I gave the game a chance I recommend you do to.

    A pretty great game with fun gameplay. I like the choice system and that it does actually effect the outcome... sure in minor ways, but it's enough that my choices feel like they matter. Sure, not as great as the original trilogy, but if viewed as a standalone, definitely worth playing.

    The good:
    1- Well made combat system and enjoyable fights. 2- Plenty of things to do.     The good:

    3- Good premise for the franchise reboot.
    4- It's a Mass Effect game!
    5- Enjoyable multiplayer.

    The bad:
    1- It badly failed to capture the magnificent feeling of exploring what is (to us at least) uncharted area and focused on the size of the game and a huge number of silly tasks you can do.
    2- the writing: While I listened carefully to most of the conversations in the trilogy, I find myself skipping them here. They are just uninteresting and plain dull.
    3- Characters (writing as well): I had a genuine emotional attachment to Miranda, Jack, Mordin and many others in the trilogy... but I have zero interest in anyone (Peebee might be a tad better). Even the AI Sam is lacklustre at best in comparison to Edi.
    4- The open-world set-up is starting to burden new games unless it's very well made (the Witcher as a brilliant example again) and I'd take a well written linear old fashioned game over a repetitive massive open-world one with a modular feeling.
    5- As a summary, I'd say the game failed in terms of story, writing, and directing especially in comparison to the trilogy and recent games.    … Expand

It is all tedious crap that you hae to go through in order to finish the uninspired story, in a generic sci-fi universe popolated by barely functional characters.This game doesn't do anything better than mediocra, and it isn't coming from n angry ME fan.

    Хорошая игра на 100+ часов, со своими недостатками, но она не заслуживает того хейта, что пошел вокруг нее. Играл уже спустя большое время после релиза, все было пропатчено, из больших минусов осталась только анимация, с которой конечно накосячили, но в целом захватывающая боевка, классная красивая графика. Мне также очень нравится такой сеттинг, в подобном ключе не так много игр и от этойХорошая игра на 100+ часов, со своими недостатками, но она не заслуживает того хейта, что пошел вокруг нее.     A decent game that, technical issues aside, mostly suffers from the comparison to the "gaming-royalty" level trilogy that came before it. Andromeda is not amazing or truly impressive in any way but it is a good side-story in the Mass Effect universe.

    Though not as grand as original trilogy it's still a great game in itself. Beautiful world's and characters that grow on you. Combat is probably the best in the series. Story is OK. Some Performance issues but rest is all fine.

    Just finshed the game today. And wow I really don't understand all this hate. Yeah it's not perfect but I would rate it a 8 (did a 10 because so much stupid reviews). I played 55 hours in 2 week because I was so hooked :D
    The setting feels so awesome and the worlds are insanly beautiful. Sadly the characters are not so beautiful like the worlds but not as bad like some talking here. I    Just finshed the game today. And wow I really don't understand all this hate. Yeah it's not perfect but I would rate it a 8 (did a 10 because so much stupid reviews).     Uninstalled it after 10h. The game looks like poorly stitched together micor missions and activities known from asian MMOs. The plot starts almost like the first part., but rewritten by teenagers, I did;t care. Characters? Mostly bland and dull. Tons of items, crafting, resource gathering. All the boring stuff, which the devs put instead of good plot and interesting world

I am sure a lot of bugs have been fixed but really immersive game / pacing, you quickly get used to weapon upgrade / load out system. Should have played sooner!!

Recently I played the original metroid on the NES and I was hooked for 15 hours straight and that game is over 30 years old because it was fun to play.     Maybe this game falls a little short in comparison to its predecessors, but it is still a good game. The main character feels a little bland and so does the story. Definetly not as bad as some seem to make it, but not great either.

    Just want rate this game a bit upper, cause it looks absolutely amazing in UtraHD with HDR. Sometimes i just staring at objects for minutes... Its very beautiful to explore. Unfortunately BioWare made a some mistakes... boring intro for example.     1-LOS OJOS DEL PUTO SATÁN (quien haya jugado o visto alguna escena de dialogo sabrá lo que estoy diciendo).
    2-LAS CARAS DE LOS HUMANOS Y LOS TURIANOS ESTÁN PARA DARLE CON UN BATE CON CLAVOS.
    3-VARIOS(POR NO DECIR MUCHOS) BUGS DE MOVIMIENTO Y EN ESCENAS DE DIÁLOGOS.
    4-MUCHAS DE LAS MISIONES SECUNDARIAS SON LAS DE RECADERO (ir de A a B y viceversa).
    5-¿ERA NECESARIO PONERME A LAS DEMÁS ESPECIES EN dlc's?
    Estas son las cosas más lamentables del juego , pero ahora vamos a ver las cosas buenas ( haters a mi):
    1-El crafteo y los materiales están bien implementados , así como los puntos de investigación y ni escasean ni sobran (busca y encontraras).
    2-Los compañeros de la ``TEMPEST´´ están bastante bien y tienen un sentimiento de evolución a lo largo del juego , aunque no son igual de molones que los de la primera trilogía con personajes tan memorables como Tali (nuestra entrañable ingeniera queriana), Miranda(that brunette ass), Mordin(nuestro querido medico,agente del GOE, cientifico y cantante de ópera salariano) , Liara (nuestra waifu por excelencia), WREX (quien quiere un ejercito cuando tienes un krogan y mas cuando tienes a ESTE krogan), Garrus facking vakarian ( que decir de nuestro turiano favorito que no puedas encontrar en el diccionario buscando ``PUTO AMO'') y demás personajes que se quedan en el tintero pero que TODOS son muy buenos e importantes.
    3-La misiones de la trama principal están muy bien en especial la misión final y las de lealtad del equipo pionero.
    4-El sentimiento de progresión del personaje en el juego (de ser un matao [ALERTA SPOILER] que le dan el titulo de pionero por ser de la familia y que todos duden de ti a que sean el pathfinder al que cualquier fémina [o no tan fémina ] le gustaría empotrarse y salvador de la iniciativa).
    5-Jugabilidad muy mejorada respecto a la trilogía original y mucho mas exploración ( aunque la premisa sea explorar la galaxia Andrómeda).

    CONCLUSIÓN: Juego con luces y sombras que un juego de la categoría de BIOWARE y por respeto a la trilogía original no tendría que tener.
    PD: Vamos BIOWARE tu puedes hacerlo mejor, que DLC'EA no te cambie.    … Expand

    I’ve played for something like 12 h and stopped because this game is such a piece of s*** that causes me headache!! No dubbing in Italian (I’m italian) and that’s the first mess. The technical sector sucks, I don’t like the location, it has constantly framerate problems, too many same characters. It’s boring. Enjoyable gameplay, a wealth of missions, interesting exploration and a great story have me hooked!
    To me this is a Mass Effect title in every sense, and if you enjoyed the first Trilogy I struggle to see how you could be disappointed with this!
    Recent reports are suggesting a sequel may yet see the light of day, hopefully this is the case as this game has got me right back into Mass effect mode.    … Expand

    Performance had minor issues on my PS4 Pro SSD but mostly some cutscenes had some issues, the gameplay itself felt fine. Loading times were also okay. I feel that the visuals were really nice. Some things like hair and face mimicks are an issue which the game is famous for but I dont think it deserves the bash, at least at the latest patch version the game is absolutely fine for me.

    The gun play is smooth. I really enjoyed all the weapons and how they felt, also the customizations are not bad. After all I think the game even is too big and gets pretty repetitive at some point which made me focus back on the main story. Still main mission and bits of sidetracking made me go for around 21hrs and they were enjoyable. Artwork is good and the cutscenes are fine with some minor issues here and there.

    For 5 bucks I think this was absolutely worth the try despite all the bad critics. I really enjoyed the game as a sci fi fan.    … Expand

    Even though I'm writing this review in 2019, I played this game at launch and I played through it at least 3 or 4 times. There were numerous technical issues, nothing truly major that I experienced though other than of course the facial animations of some characters.

Whereas previous Mass Effect games may have used the same models at times, but they had enough varieties of models spread though out that it was unnoticeable.

    Personally I enjoyed the story, especially the final battle which I think is more how the final battle of Mass Effect 3 should've turned out. That being said there were story threads that were left open for DLCs instead of wrapping the story up properly. Especially the whole thing with the Quarian arc, which unfortunately is a DLC we'll never get to see.

    Ultimately a flawed game, but still a fun time for fans of Mass Effect or Sci-Fi in general that don't need things to be perfect.    … Expand

    The game is not as bad as people say. Sure it had its technical problems and the game seem to be 'boring' to some people however after patches it is really worth trying to get into the game. I had a year break from the game and since the return I have had a lot of fun. The game is very cheap now anyway so why not give it a shot?

    Ah cmon! It's a very good game. It's huge, lots of content, fun stuff to do. The idea behind the story is great, but the script is meh. It's not as scientifical (or well written) like others ME, but it's a great game nevertheless. There's a lot of bugs, a LOT. But nothing that really bothered me. Buy it on sale and give it a run. It will grow on you. (I did not play the Multiplayer game)

    Overall it is fun. The nomad and gameplay are highlights.

    -3 points for 99.9% boring conversations, all around cutscene stupidity, plethora of immersion breaking bugs/glitches. This AAA is devoid of polish.

    They really blew it with this. Mass effect held such a special place in my heart, then BioWare went full EA and released a clearly unfinished game with a sub-par team, hoping the previous 3 amazing games would carry this pile of crap. No. I was super let down by this.

    I have played all mass effect games and Andromeda is still i great game, with new characters and story.
    Give it a try, if you loved the other mass effect games you will at least like this one if not more. IMO it's better than mass effect 1

    The game is fun but when in first 20% of it you have bugs where you cant finish quests, and also cant move back or forward as doors wont open at certain point then i would call it unplayable and a scam. None of it will be fixed as nobody is working on it. Enjoyed it but ultimately shame on you EA and Bioware.

    After some years I found it at 6€ and gave it another chance...
    Yesterday I ended my journey through Andromeda with 90 hrs and a little tear dropped from my eyes...
    The story, exploration, battling, interactions and decisions are fantastic...I know it cause I remember most of the npcs I talked to, all the planets lore, I miss the Voled snow or walking in dreaming Aya...

The sidequests are unexciting and only there for level up, if I knewn that I would have skipped them all together and focused on the priority and relationship ones. Finally, nomad is a great plus, with useful upgrades worth pursuing it. All and all, I hope to see a sequence for Andromeda!… Expand

First step, try and make a female Ryder that actually looked like her facial model instead of that horrifying thing they made as default. The character creation was a pile of poodoo to work with, cruddy sliders but finally managed to make her and her brother look good enough to look at for a gameplay.

    The scanner is one of the worst additions to the game ever, you literally have to use it in every area you walk through to find data pieces, codex and story mission info, you can't find it or access it without it. Jetpacks are stupid, it's only included because it's inevitable that you'll be stuck in different parts of the map and need it to get out.

    I read that the game was initially supposed to be Papa Ryder as the main character. At least that would have made sense as he was an N7 and had the proper training to lead this motley expedition as Pathfinder. When he dies, in no way should the Ryder kid be the next up to take over, you're literally just on this trip because you're traveling with your father as a family not because you've had special training to take over. He had a second in command, who had every right to be angry that kid Ryder took over as Pathfinder because you're completely incompetent in comparison!

    The people are still ugly to look at, actually found a hideous troll looking lady on the bridge of the ship and was ready to start making a scrapbook for the most horrifyingly looking people that I could find in the game. There is no background noises on the ship or on the planet or any ambient music, it's so eerie to wander in the utter silence and not even have your people talking. The worst part is that I'm pretty sure I could take any ugly looking animations if only there was a really good story to move me along but guess what? There's not even that. It's not even semi-decent where I could play through the end and be like well that was worth one playthrough. Nope, I kept falling asleep during this game and felt nothing pushing me to finish.

    It makes me angry that Bioware was destroyed in such a way. Anyone who thinks that Mass Effect isn't dead and there's still hope is kidding themselves. EA wouldn't even allow DLC to be released for this game and shut down the whole studio who was working on it. What does that tell you? Avoid this game if you value your time and energy.    … Expand

While exploring the desert planet with red trees, I found myself having some fun but that was short lived and the pretty visuals didn't hold up over time as you have to drive so far from A to B and there is little to do in between of any interest. But than, after another round of passing the trilogy, I was so thristy about sequel to the ME that I decided to give Andromeda another chance :) I forced myself spend 3 hours just to begin play, it was so bad - so many questions about the plot, horrible face animations, issues with controls.. But when I forced myself toTried to begin play this game 3 times. First 2 was like "what the ..". But than, after another round of passing the trilogy, I was so thristy about sequel to the ME that I decided to give Andromeda another chance :) I forced myself spend 3 hours just to begin play, it was so bad - so many questions about the plot, horrible face animations, issues with controls.. But when I forced myself to ignore this things everything changed. I realaized that Andromeda plot is really good idea, and actually it is super beautiful, actually Andromeda is what I expected from No Man's Sky - amazing bright space exploration. Planets are really lovely, graphics and art direction is top (except face animation), characters are not comparable to ME1-2, but there're some fun to, especially Drack is very interesting - from his main story to his comments through the game. And during completing the main quest I realized that the plot is pretty OK, many questins, but the one who wrote it definitely knows the game and loves what his doing. This game is more like an introduction to the new galaxy, not super rich story. And again - it is super beautiful space exploration. Also in the end of the game I really loved the combat system, it's really god after you try to understand it. Actually EA release tehre new title Anthem especially on the Andromeda combat system.
    PS. Of course it's not comparable to the ME1-2, but they really did a great job, stop trying compare this games, just replay entire trilogy if you want "old good ME" :)    … Expand

    I was going to give this game an 8 of 10. There are performance issues throughout the whole game and even though these days I'd taken them for granted, I think they were stronger in this game. So, like many people pointed out, the fans of this beloved franchise, after waiting for a while deserved a better treatment in my humble opinion. However, I think I have to be fair, I noted that in the nearly 70h of my playthrough, the game, surprisingly, didn't crash, not even once. There are many big games, I won't give out names, that though ran better than this one they would crash, I could think of more than one example. Thus, I take my hat off to Bioware/EA and raise this game's grade to 9 instead of 8.

    Bottom line: The current build is playable. Though I feel sorry for those who paid full price on release, I think that if you're into Sci-Fi like Star Wars and stuff and really like core RPGs, as it's not hard to find this game on sale, this is a must buy.

(2): this game is literally like a dream come true for the author. Of course, that are pure shooters out there that come close to it, but the author's favorite genre is still RPG, so, in total honesty, the author have desired to play an RPG out of BG and this game goes much beyond what the author had wished. So, it is just natural that the author would fall in love with this game, and we all know that love is blind ...

    Bottom line: Is there only one bottom line? Because I'm making a second one. I had a blast with this game, I brought all my characters to level 41 and achieved a full viability for all the planets, there's even a golden trophy for that. Мне как фанату-задроту серии обидно что масс эффект скатился в УГ.Жаль что купил это по полной цене , через полгода цена данному "шедевру" будет 600 рублей.Итак поехали.Что в игре хорошего - освоение планет.Первые пять минут неплохо,дальше провал.(Хотя большинство из них должен признать однообразные и вызывают откровенную скуку.)Геймплей ничем не отличается от ДА Инквизиции.Разница лишь в том что в Инквизиции ты набиваешь очки влияния, а здесь очки перспективности андромеды.В игре совершенно идиотская система диалогов которая не влияет абсолютно ни на что.Они говорят мы убрали систему парагон-ренегат,но вместо нее поставили ахинею какую то, а именно варианты ответов эмоциональный,рассудительный что тот еще.Даже название главных злодеев поленились выдумать - здесь теперь кетты(да,да похоже на гетов с первой части).Они такие себе переделанные протэане ,перекрашенные в зеленый цвет.Боссы скучные,однообразные и неинтересные,все что нужно сделать:вынести на локации босса этих самых кэттов,вокруг которого вертится шар.Так босс неуязвим ,но когда ты сносишь ему этот шарик,о чудо его можно убить.И так почти абсолютно все локации.Потыкай станции,убей несколько одинаковых боссов-архитекторов которые присутсвуют на всех локациях.И хрен с этой лицевой анимацией, цепляла бы сюжетом игра,но сюжет туп,банален и предсказуем.Видя такой масс эффект Шепард бы в гробу перевернулся.Еще отдельную тему занимает сканер главного героя.Сканировать нужно абсолютно все что попадется,забив на сканирование ты рискуешь не получить очей исследования, и не скрафтишь нужную тебе пушку.Тупая система сохранений дает о себе знать.Всегда играю на максимальной сложности,и иногда нужно сохранить прогресс,но иногда сохранится невозможно,и не убив одного несчастного моба,ты рискуешь переигрывать сначала и сначала,часа по два.Если тебя не пугает все вышенаписанное ,уважаемый покупатель,затаривайся.ЕА уже убила много замечательных серий,вот,добралась и до МЕ.Буду стараться не покупать игры от ЕА,ведь эта компания работает только на то чтобы состричь бабла,сделав из известных серий типа Драгон Ейдж,Бэтлфронт а теперь еще и масс эффект какашку.… Expand

This game was one of the most disappointing games I have ever looked forward to, I actually cancelled the pre order just a few days before it came out because of all the flaws people noticed in the early gameplays. The gameplay was good I will give it that, but the worst thing I found about the game was the dialogues, they were too cheesy and not funny at all, when ever the characters communicated I wanted to tear out my eyeballs, the characters not one was interesting, the story has promise, but ended up being ridiculous and somewhat repetitive to the previous games in the worst way possible, also not to do with the actual game itself, but one of the game workers caused a lot of issues due to his racist attitude towards white people which put me off not only the game, but video game industry (BioWare) itself, due to them doing so little about it for a long time. The game not only made me lose hope in the new MA series, but the company itself, shame on them.… Expand

    Broken game. Had some promise but it is so glitchy and the animations are terrible. I lost save states to glitches multiple times in the first few hours. Loved every other game in the series, but this was a huge letdown.

    In comparison to mass effect 2, this is boring and uninteresting. It was a struggle to get through and while the base mechanics work the writing and plot is meh...and the game was clearly rushed out the door when I had first bought it the animations and glitches were terrible. RIP Bioware..... EA strikes again.

    Bought this game on PS4. It's been a year after release and many glitches are fixed. Though, I was disappointed by generic plot, characters and design. Everything is average or worse. Looks like developers didn't get what original ME-series was about, what made Mass Effect entertaining. I really want to play another game from that franchise, but good one.     I played it from the first day and was offered an unpolished buggy game. Had they had the guts to delay the game for another year or two to fix and add the contant they actually had planned for this game it would have been better recieved.

    I tried to play Andromeda again just a couple weeks ago but couldn't find any motivation so I quit after I arrived at the first big main planet.
    There are only a few characters I did like and care for.
    All Asari look the same except for one or two.
    The combat is good.
    The graphics are up to date.
    The story is okay but the main missions are mostly the same just with a different planet setting.
    The main villain looks anything but threatening.
    This game is a slap in the face for every Mass Effect trilogy fan.

    I hesitated buying this game after reading all the negative reviews but I am glad I did. I am now 20 hours in the game and still loving it so much. I did not play the previous mass effect games but I really like the story and the characters. I have not run into any technical issues so far.     The only REAL problem with this game is that it's not the OG trilogy and not DA O, The game is really good when you are not comparing it to these game and has one of the best squads Bioware ever created! Also, we get a way better Family dynamic than the rest of their games. Not to mention it's also one hell off a looker.

    To start off    I have a confession to make, this was my first Mass Effect game so my opinion on the game may not be as polarizing as some. So for me, I don’t have the massive disappointment that Mass Effect 2 (regarded as one of the greatest games of all time) turned into this. For me personally, I am coming into this game fresh and so I did my best to keep an open mind about this game.

    To start off this game got lambasted with mockery on how the facial animations looked which I don’t think that’s fair and I think its kind of tacky. I try to look at it like games like Uncharted 4 have spoiled us. I always try to do my best to not compare games other games because I don’t think its fair.

    Normally I like to talk about the story a little bit in these “reviews” but for this game, I’m not going to bother because the story is forgettable. The characters themselves are also fairly forgettable as well. Although in traditional Bioware fashion, you do get to romance characters so that’s something you can do if you want to.

    Right at the start of the game, your first choice is to pick whether you want to be the male of female Ryder. They’re twins so your choice is Scott or Sara. I chose the male, Scott because I’m a guy and I almost always go with the character that best represents me in these scenarios. I know its boring but that’s just the way I play games.

    Bouncing back to the Romance options, the person I became most interested in was a character named Suvi. It’s not because the character was necessarily that great, I just liked her voice and more specifically the Scottish accent. Unfortunately, I discovered that Suvi can only be romanced by Sara so she was no longer an option. At that point, I switched focus and had to choose between a woman named Cora who was kind of manly and I don’t like her hair or Peebee who is an alien race and a very annoying character. I ended up going with Cora and as I got to know her a little bit better she kind of grew on me. I think it is important to note that the only reason I even did this was for the trophy. I don’t what it is but watching video game sex (or any animated sex) makes me uncomfortable. I think about the animators staying up late and working overtime just to animate the sex scene. It’s just weird.

    Ultimately what kept me playing this game was the shooting. Its a very well made third-person shooter. The shooting is tight the action is exciting and I have nothing but positive things to say about the combat. I genuinely had a good time playing this game because of the combat.

    I’m trying to think if this is a game that I would recommend. If you’re a fan of the mass effect series and you like Mass Effect because of the story and interesting characters. Stay away but if you’re in the market for a good third person shooter. Then yes, I would recommend picking this up.    … Expand

Tengo entendido que una de las diferencias con los anteriores es el jetpack para saltar, y da muchísimas posibilidades en combate así que es todo un acierto.
    Lo mejor de todo par mí es la historia y los personajes, hay muchísimos diálogos, que incluyen tomas de decisiones que repercuten, en mayor o menor medida, en la historia.
    Los gráficos están muy bien, los planetas son absolutamente preciosos y da gusto explorarlos enteros, son bastante grandes y repletos de misiones.
    El juego va de menos a más, si lo has empezado y te ha aburrido un poco, dale una oportunidad y sigue avanzando en la historia, porque engancha muchísimo.
    Es de los mejores juegos que he jugado, lo recomiendo encarecidamente, merece la pena!!!    … Expand

But when I got to the first planet i came to the realisation that this is not ME but something quite different. And I mean different in the most profoundly awful way... the story was terrible, characters we all loved were gone, and don’t get me    Such a shame...

    I really did try, and I did get halfway through, but I just got bored, and annoyed at the terrible open-world gameplay. If you are a fan of ME 1-3 I implore you to never ever play this game. It will annihilate your love for the Mass Effect trilogy. Whoever was responsible for this monstrosity should be held to account, particularly for the damage it has single-handedly caused to the Mass Effect universe.

    It might be the biggest, most complex and action packed game in the franchise, but Mass Effect: Andromeda is also the least convincing one. The dated facial animations, the inconsistent writing quality and the regularly occurring bugs take you out of the experience too often. On top of that, BioWare has not used the concept of a whole new universe to its full potential, which often makes it feel like Mass Effect: Andromeda has not left our Milky Way at all.
