    Playstation 4 version is broken, avoid this game. At best I would probably recommend getting this game 6 or 7 months after the launch date but buying now will only lead to frustration. Full of glitches, NPCs not acting correctly, certain questions can not be completed, this game will literally corrupt save files if they exceed 8MB! Seriously, who the whole puts a cap on save files atPlaystation 4 version is broken, avoid this game.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I can honestly say that Cyberpunk has been the worst experience I’ve ever had in gaming. I’ve witnessed some terrible launches but this one’s among the worst along with Unity, No Man’s Sky and Fallout 76.

    The idea of the game is good. The setting is great but CDPR doesn’t show it off due to the PS3-tier graphics.
    Gameplay is decent at best. The control scheme is uncomfortable and weird and can’t be changed.

    Thing is, the game just isn’t worth 60 bucks. Not just the terrible glitches, FPS drops, worthless graphics and other countless weird bugs ( corrupted saves ), but also as an RPG it’s just not good enough.
    Characters lack depth, there’s no backstory. Voice acting is great though.
    There’s no options to customize your characters appearance aside from armor, no car customization and no ‘home’ customization.
    The skill tree is not really interesting.
    And not even to mention the stupid AI. Cops can’t chase you in the car etc. The detection system is worthless, there’s no stealth in place.
    Hacking has potential but it could be so much better.

    This isn’t the game we were promised. It’s a decent RPG, but not on par with other RPG’s.    … Expand

    I’m playing on the PS4 Pro and my experience has been very disappointing. The game crashes every 90 - 120 minutes, which forces me to replay a lot of missions. I’ve encountered bugs where guns don’t fire when aiming down the sights. There is no excuse for this.

    I have played over 124 hours of Cyberpunk 2077 and too me its the greatest game I have ever played. Now the above hours have been on a PC and not a console. This has a great story, great fun in combat, and some nice depth in some side quests. I enjoy driving through the city just listening to the music.     Right now CDPR has released a Gem, what will go down as a classic, but will always be tainted by the release. Their error was trying to hit a homerun with a release all platforms at the same time.     To begin with, there are too many bugs. It is just unplayable. Too many crashes, bugs with ammunition... When I was playing, I killed an enemy and took -999 29 rifle bullets. Then, the game crashed. Low FPS, problems with rendering, poor graphics, etc

    это такая ничтожная отрыжка что невольно находишься в ожидании жесткого наказания CDPR и их полного банкротства потому что вместо оплаты работы разработчиков они покупают положительные комментарии в вк и твиттере
    моя PlayStation 4 (на которой я только что прошла The Last of Us Part II) греется так что к ней нельзя притронуться от того какая она раскалённая

I mostly play open world sandbox/action adventure/RPGs like Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout, Kenshi, RDR, M&B, Enderal, Obsidian RPGs, AC RPGs, The Witcher, etc. They're not perfect, they look bad, have bugsMany people praising the game without understanding what is expected from an RPG in 2020. I think most of them expected this game to be an open world shooter, and got what they wanted. I mostly play open world sandbox/action adventure/RPGs like Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout, Kenshi, RDR, M&B, Enderal, Obsidian RPGs, AC RPGs, The Witcher, etc. They're not perfect, they look bad, have bugs everywhere and even worse mechanics, but they all have something in common: the world reacts to your actions in a believable way. If you steal something and get caught, someone will come for you. If you kill an NPC, some NPCs will run, some will try to kill you and/or some will call the guards or police. NPCs have basic routines, they go to sleep, to work, to the bar, even if its the same routine everyday. You can see patrols walking the roads, monsters attacking travelers, interactive merchants. Non-scripted emerging situations, or at least well-scripted routines

    This game was advertised as the next generation of open-world RPGs. Thousands of NPCs with routines and advanced AI. Multiple lifepaths that would shape the decisions and playstyle. I didn't jump on the hype train because I was expecting something similar to The Witcher or Bethesda RPGs in a cyberpunk setting (at least, considering the 8 years of development and budget). That would've been great. Instead we got a toned down GTA/Destiny, an action adventure looter-shooter set in a cyberpunk theater mockup, where NPCs all react the same way when in danger, say 2 or 3 lines and walk aimlessly until they vanish in thin air in front of you. Police materializes in front of you as soon as you aim your gun to any brainless NPC. Escape with your car (defenseless because you can't shoot and drive) and they disappear after 5 seconds. You can steal from other people's stashes in front of them and they won't care. Drink or food vendors don't even have specific dialogue and they don't even sell anything. The list goes on.

    These are not "bugs", "features" or "part of the lore", this is false advertising, design flaw or just plain laziness. Missing AI can't be just patched or included in a DLC. I can stand the gamebreaking bugs, bad performance or the hilarious animations. I can't stand an open world shooter being advertised as a full-fledged open world RPG that doesn't have the basic gameplay mechanics that games from 2008 already have.

    "Night City" is just a big loading screen between quests that is just sitting there for pretty RTX screenshots. Hell, even the on-rails Mass Effect with its tiny planets and hand-crafted stations felt more alive and purposeful. I play RPGs because they are like interactive books, most of the are belieavable enough that let you get lost in them. If I wanted to play a brainless shooter, I'd play Destiny.    … Expand

    15fps on ps4. Looks and runs badly on ps5. No meaningful decisions. Combat and stealth are both awful. When you get a wanted level police officers teleport in right in front of you. Gta san andreas ON PS2 literally had a way better police system and AI. No meaningful relationships or interaction with gangs. Once again beaten by a ps2 game there are 2 nightworkers available in the whole15fps on ps4. Looks and runs badly on ps5. No meaningful decisions. Combat and stealth are both awful.     I tried to play this game on ps4 thinking all the hate was just angry fanboys trying to troll people. While i started the game my character looked a bit off and pixely. The loading of the character is quite slow and the open world is way too buggy to enjoy it.

    I play on PS4 slim and would like to say that graphics is not soapy now.     During 16 hours I got 3 crashes and probably 8-9 minor bugs that weren't so bad. Actually, they were somewhat funny. In the worst cases I was always been able to load my save and continue just when I was a minute ago.
    Yes, it is buggy. But give it 0 just because of that would be completely unfair. And stupid. It is an amazing city with deeply designed visual styles from the team that tried to bring us something new. And they did!
    And they are not Ubisoft who releases less buggy but still buggy AC and instead of fixing everything just adding monetization. CD Project Red at least tries to care about users. The recent patches and their roadmap confirms it.
    Yeah, it lacks a lot of features from GTA but c'mon, it is not a GTA. And it is not a Witcher. But RPG elements, story, dialogues, shooting is better than in Fallout 4, for example.
    So yeah, great game, really. I hope january patch will reduce the amount of crashes to zero. But it is also very playable now. If you are not a crybaby with ridiculously high expctations.

    Es un gran juego me a encantado, a pesar de toda la controversia que está causando a mi me a dejado jugar en mi PS4 y me a dado una experiencia única, me gustó mucho la relación que llevas con los personajes de la historia al punto que casi me hace llorar.

    Great game. The Ps4 version is very buggy but if it hadn't been hyped up so much I wouldn't have known to be disapointed. This game is everything that I enjoy about video games, my only criticism is that I would like to play it in third person (why else customise your character) although given it's current state i understand the decision.

    Cyberpunk 2077 is a huge game, with lots of quality content and an unmatched city design, but affected by severe technical problems which makes the experience unbearable.

    Having played the PS4 version on the PS5 with a much stable framerate of 60fps, bugs and glitches are not only visual, but can also block your progress in secondary missions. Flying items, empty streets, and extremely dumb NPCs are some of the things you will find in this version of the game.

    However, the biggest problem is that the game keeps crashing at least one time every 2h aprox., regardless of the situation you are in. I have experienced crashes in the city centre, in the Badlands, in the menus, or even in the middle of a main story mission, to the point where I have stoped playing, since I fear that this constant crashing might even affect the console.

    The only reason I am giving this game a 5/10 is because it is still 'playable' in PS5 (stay away of the game if don't have a next-gen console or a high-end PC), and because the game underneath the problems is truly great, although simply unplayable right now.    … Expand

But if I set it to easy difficulty, it’s so easy that entire quests - like “kill the 5 bad guys at location X” - are finished within 20 seconds (even though the frame rate drops to a few frames per second).

    Plaging on PS4 pro.
    Played 24+ house and have had 4 crashes and I visual glitch.
    The story is fantastic and I think the game is great.
    I would rather play this version of the game than wait another 6 months for a version without any bugs.

Spoiled children who made themselves believe that "Cyberpunk 2077" would be a master piece but instead you received "just" a good game and its not enough.

Nothing special, so when I hear something like "this game is so broken so it's unplayable" it make's me laugh. Spoiled children who made themselves believe that "Cyberpunk 2077" would be a master piece but instead you received "just" a good game and its not enough.
    When your car is broken (for more money) you just slam the door and saying "I won't drive it anymore, give me money back"? Or you just wait until someone will repair it? I don't have any expectations with Cyberpunk, also I don't like anything aassociated with gangs and mob's but still I have some fun amd I don't even think about sending it back.    … Expand

    those written positive reviews are probably written for the PC, no absolute way they are for ps4, it runs like its on a PS2, pop ins, bad graphics, crashes total **** If you are in Australia get your refund- should be quick and easy since we have one of if not the best consumer rights in the world! Gaming companies shouldn't get away with this type of bait and switch!

    The best game I've played in years. Terrific central story that really picks up about 7-8 hours in. The stealth mechanics, if you go that route, are very challenging and deep. The city is absolutely massive and more thoroughly fleshed out than any other game I can think of--makes the cities in other rpg's feel like sketches in comparison. The game runs just fine on my six year old PS4 andThe best game I've played in years. Terrific central story that really picks up about 7-8 hours in. If you actually read the bad reviews on here people are complaining about things like no haircuts and no autodrive. There's a weird amount of anger surrounding this and I can't help feeling like most people are venting emotions that don't really have to do with the game itself. It's a stellar game, 10/10 and will only get better as updates are released.… Expand

    Остальные плюсы:
    + открытый мир проработанный;
    + интересные квесты;
    + система диалогов без загрузок, подходишь и сразу говоришь, это классно;
    +- физика машин приятная, но когда ДТП, то она непроработана, так что плюс-минус;
    + персонажи запоминаются, чего стоит Такэмура;
    + достаточно активностей, можно шлюху заказать.
    В защиту CD Project Red хочется сказать, что игру делали не 8 лет, а намного меньше, плюс они не так часто делали ААА-проекты, как Рокстар. Плюс ещё пандемия на них обвалилась.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I’m playing it on ps4 pro, it has so many bugs and blurry in distance and often you should wait around 15 seconds to game render things around you but this game is fantastic despite all that.
    Story is amazing and gig(side quests) are even better.dialogue system is amazing although it doesn’t impact the storyline or environment but it’s still so much fun to experience.
    I don’t recommend it on ps4 and ps4 pro but i know after some patches and updates it will look amazing to play on next gen consoles.
    This game is awesome but we don’t have the right tool to play it on, if you want to feel how incredible it is on next gen just go to badlands on current gen, because it’s the only location that runs smoothly on ps4 and ps4 pro but night city itself is so messed up right now, meanwhile i really enjoy it despite all bugs and problems.
    Let’s not insult a developer who intends to push open world gaming to a higher level and encourage them to fix problems with upcoming patches. Show this diligent crew some respect    … Expand

    Great story and side quests . Cyberpunk didn't have the best launch but after patch 1.05 the game definitely looks great , hopefully cdpr will keep updating and fixing the bugs but the core of the game which is the story and the setting definitely are solid .

If you drive a car fast, where are all the npc’s? Where are all the cars? The car is too fast for the game, it does not load textures when driving fast. Cars who falls from the sky, bikes also. This is a giant of a game.     This is a giant of a game. The story is second to none, the graphics at times steal you away from your mission just to stop and look at the world, gameplay is fun, and the side quests are filled with so many hidden gems and easter eggs.

    I am constantly torn from wanting to see how the main story progresses to wanting to do all the side quests. The main quest gives you a fantastic story, but the side quests give you a looking glass into the world. They are just the best, some have you laughing, some that are best descried as “f**k yeah!”, and some are extremely dark and heavy leaving you just mind blown or punched in the gut. The game does not sugar coat some themes, but it gives an immersive view of the fictional world and the people in it which makes you feel something for what is going on in front of you.

    Combat is great giving you a variety of mechanics where you can cyber hack enemies incapacitating them or to distract while sneaking up to or past them, snipe them off one by one even through walls, pop a pin from a grenade and go full body demolition or leap through the air slicing limbs off.

    Driving around feels a lot like GTA, I do not care for it too much as first person is not as easy as 3rd person to navigate and 3rd person kind of breaks the immersion. However, it provides a way to get around the large map before you can fast travel. I wish there were an Uber option where you can take in the sights of Night City as a passenger.

    Skills in this game are a little disappointing. They only make you a little better, stronger, smarter etc but do not really give you anything new to do. I guess some of this comes with implants which you buy. In this game it makes perfect sense to do it that way but it still feels a bit off.

    As for the bugs, there are quite a few but most of them are either not that big of a deal or are down right amusing. I sometimes enjoy some of the glitches for a laugh, they haven't gotten in the way or blocked progressing a quest nor have they ruined the game for me. Quite often if something seems to misbehave, I find a quick save and reload seems to fix it.

    I give this game a 10/10 as I am really enjoying it a lot. If you are on an old console or prefer to play a more polished game, it may be best to wait. It would be a shame to miss it however as it is probably one of the best games of 2020.    … Expand

You'll spent most of the game wearing the gear with the most armor looking like a clown, build meaningful relationships with a handful of characters that ultimately are shallow are don't have many choices that matter and kill some fools with fairly standard gunplay. 30-60 hours of content with main story/core side stories. I am someone who frequently spends 100-200 hours on a game like this and have done in the recent Assassin Creeds/Final Fantasies and The Witcher 3 and was looking forward to doing the same in Cyberpunk but just can't justify it.

    Not as buggy as people would you have you believe, but enough so that it can be extremely annoying at times and after particularly annoying progression blocking bugs occurred a few times I did have to step away to chill before looking up how to get past them.    … Expand

I can understand that ray tracing, depth of the field may not be available, but I am not even getting 720p resolution along with game braking bugs. If the game can't run in base console then why releasing it in ps4 ? I was skeptical about buying it, but since I have learnt it is running surprisingly well in ps4, I bought it, and it is justIt looks like a ps2 game in the base ps4 console. World kinda looks and feels empty and this makes game less immersive. World size also feels unbalanced compared to difficulty of main storyline not enough story compared world size and side missions. after grinding side missions you can easily be too over powered at the point when you go to final segment of the game. it seems game was designed to be played trough in hurry without really going trough most of the side content. Or most of the main story was just cut out and there was no time to balance side content with main story for me many character arcs started around time just before final segment and those were harder in difficulty than the end segment feels kinda stupid.

    Positive:
    Game runs smoothly on ps5 until it crashes suddenly about every 2 hours but no biggie it loads game fairly fast back.. Nightcity and world looks stunning, I loved the storytelling and character arcs and story choices i can make in the game. Gameplay mechanics are fun there is many possibilities for different play styles, and all of those seemed deep enough to dedicate one playthrough. NightCity at its best feels very alive, immersive and real specially at start of the game but after about 15 hours it starts to feel generic.

    This game has some same issues that ff15 had except this game is not that bad it actually it is very good but very unfinished and unbalanced and over hyped. Just give CDPR some time and they will fix this mess for sure. It is just shame to see cdpr crash and burn like this they seriously have to fix their internal problems before making next game.    … Expand

    Excellent game, night city will make you feel amazing. I'm playing on PS4 and I find most of the reviews about technical condition really unfair as the game works well for me. Good job CDPR and I hope more players will see it.

    The performance trouble and the bugs are really immersion breaking. Every few minutes something happened that reminded me I was playing a game and not actually a smuggling nomad mercenary. I was so ready to become immersed in night city and what I managed to see I really like. The characters and design are superb. The soundtrack is immense and gameplay seems great when it works.

    I hope that cdpr is still going to give a free upgrade to the ps5 version otherwise I've wasted £50.

    This was the first time I ever pre ordered a game due to witcher 3 and the service it received after being superb. I will never again pre order ever again.

    Fix this mess please.

Incredible world and city, loving the story and theme, great sound and music; CD projeckt team made a fantastic game, but only rushing it for consoles and not showing real console gameplay and making fake promises was a fatal mistake.     Some music for location was great, like Afterlife. Some music was not so great. However, the Radio option does let you change music preferences. Compared to Witcher 3 such as Priscilla's song music disappoints or at least doesn’t compare.

    Audio. Various issues of lips moving or not moving when words coming out. Other than Johnny, I found the audio voices overall lackluster and not impressive. Also, many, many times I was in middle of conversation and someone buzzed in on phone or many dialogues going at same time.

    Graphics/Gameplay
    Some video cut scenes seem sloppily and hastily put together. Scenes such as picking up glass to drink appear in your arm not hand and nothing pours out of glass. Characters in streets- I saw the exact same person walking by each other many, many times. Difficulty at normal is too easy. I got to the max. street level of 50 really quick in the game, too quickly. A couple of the quests were sick and depraved, but I expected a whole lot more as this is a fallen world with dystopian punk criminal evil corporatism etc… A big problem I have with gameplay is the characters and people walking around. There are ZERO options to engage or talk…to any of them. I remember in Witcher 3 being in a random village and being able to at least have some minor conversations with random NPC's.

    Abilities/Cyberware
    Why do you get athletics points for simply standing up from a couch? Laughable. Completely do NOT get the whole BD thing. For investigative purposes, sure. Why do you have an interface and can't use it? Why buy BD movies that can't be used? Cyberware options were a lot more limited than I expected and only a few were really useful. I could have done without almost all of them. Ability trees could use improvement. I only found a few interesting and

    Religious tone
    CDPR should be ashamed! Its one thing if they pick on everyone and all religions equally but they don’t! Let me give some examples:
    - at one point you can "recite the lord's prayer? But not really just part of it.
    - One fixer said "exact justice) killing) on behalf of our Lord." Come on…
    - Billboards everywhere of "The passion." CDPR intentionally mocked and degraded Jesus' crucifixion through a storyline I wont go into. This was insulting to Christianity but since its Christianity it doesn’t matter.
    - The gun Skippy says a line like "according to Christian doctrine you are going to burn in hell." Why does CDPR keep twisting and referring to Christian doctrine?
    - One scene asked type of food you want, tofu, fish or locust peperoni. They make a specific, intentional effort to avoid pork. Why? We know why, Muslims will be up in arms.
    Continual attack on Christianity. OK. So lets see… is anything negative said of inferred about Islam? HELL NO.
    Political Correctness
    Really didn’t expect this from CDPR, at least not to the extent they went to.
    In clubs saw NPC girls holding hands yet nowhere did I see a man/women doing this. I saw one all-male strip club with only males in it. The other clubs were NOT all female ones. There were a LOT of homosexual only relationships…more that hetero. Why get involved in this at all…why not make sex indifferential? Because CDPR is trying to blatantly force new PC'ness down your throat.

    Creation of a woman with penis? Really? NPC talking about gender transitions. Females with male voices. I didn’t see a true multicultural environment. Most of NPC and voices were Chinese. It seems like the tried to take ethnicities and blend them into one color. I get CDPR is based in Poland and may hate USA. I am okay with the whole corporate "evilness" in Cyberpunk. However, why are there so many "gangs" with USA like flags and they are compared to terrorists?

    Romance Options
    What a 100% complete let down. I remember back to old games like BG2 and the romance development over time with Aerie. That was awesome and real. Nothing in Cyberpunk feels like a romance. There are no deep storylines that seem to organically grow over time. CDPR is too intent on trying to be PC and "diverse" and lost focus on just making good romance stories and characters.
    Misc.
    - Need autoloot function.
    - Computers. Why the Net option? There is nothing to explore?
    - there are vending machines EVERYWHERE. Why? Not helpful.
    - Item weight limit bother.
    - card pickups everywhere. WHY? Make them more important
    - Its clear CDPR rushed this game out too soon and did not polish it. In fact, I question if any beta testing was even done.
    Overall Conclusion/Thought on game
    CDPR is their own worst enemy. Go back to Witcher formula!!!    … Expand

    Super open world, great stories, I have no trouble on My PS4. Few months ago, I was playing fallout, and it had more bugs and problem after a few years and many updates. I just enjoy the game, and don't see a problem.

    Well, if the game was playable that rating would br much higher. The game looks like absolute rubbish on PS4, if you played a game with ultra low graphic mode on your old pc you will understand what I am saying. Edit: The game looks so much better at 1.05 and I finished main story/ most of the side quests. The game is good, It's not a RDR2 but it is a really good game except being a short game.

    Yes the graphics could be better. (Buy a better machine or play on PC ). It’s a fun game. It’s pretty amazing the scale they have pulled off. Story is great. Side missions are great. It is buggy and crashes. But they will fix that.

    Probably, my review will not be particularly objective because of how much negativity the game caused due to the weak technical part on consoles. But the plot did its job. What emotions and thoughts the game leaves you with.. this is very strong. a sad result, to which, perhaps, civilization will come.     Playing on ps5 the backward compatible ps4 ver. There are bugs, but none of them spoil the fun for me. I like the game overall and I'm sad to see the amount of cyberbulling the authors get. I would like more life in the city, more interactive features, better driving and car customisation. But the game still great. Waiting for fixes, add-ons and dlcs to make it better. Hold on guys.

    Great in every way, people have a lot of opinions about this game but most of them are complete nonsense, the storyline is fantastic, the graphics even better and there are a few bugs but who cares, it doesn't effect the gameplay. !(This experience is based on only PS4 Pro Gameplay)!

    I launched Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS4 Slim several weeks after the release and most of the bugs were fixed, so I was able to play the game from start to finish. However, the quality of textures was painfully low, I usually had only 20-22 frames per second while driving around the city (with dips below 20), and some objects tended to disappear. The technical state and graphics of the PS4 version are awful, which is a shame, because the game itself has one of the best stories I have ever encountered, its gunplay is really good, and Night City is very impressive.     Cyberpunk 2077 is a game brimming with potential, and it damn near reaches it on so many occasions, but the pitfalls of its development ultimately drag it down. There's still a lot to like here for RPG fans and lovers of the genre, but it's far from the generation-defining masterwork that the world was waiting for.
