    Best game I've played in awhile and the CD Project Red team did a good job. Yes their we're bugs but I haven't seen many in my many hours of game play and they have been fixing them pretty fast.

    (Patch v1.06) Apart from frequent crashes the game performs pretty nice on PS5, framerate is stable 60; overall visuals are quite subpar (doesn't look even remotely as impressive as GTA5 or RDR2 or any decent PS4 game ever), there are lots of low-poly objects with hires textures that look quite weird.

    The big "eek" from me is the fact that the game was not meant nor made with a console in mind at all; UI elements are too small to play on TV, controller buttons are wacky and basically it is better to hook up your playstation to the monitor and play it like on PC. Would be nice if CDPR implemented mouse+keyb support for the console versions so we wouldn't have to struggle with that blatantly bad work.    … Expand

    Cyberpunk 2077 would be a great game If It hasn't so many bugs and crashes that make It unplayable, inclusive in ps5. The story is not bad, but the combat, I think, is Broken. It is a triple A Game, but other titles double A like The Outerworlds are in same level and have nothing envidiable with The polish Game. If you want to play it, It is better than you play The game in February withCyberpunk 2077 would be a great game If It hasn't so many bugs and crashes that make It unplayable, inclusive in ps5.     This is RPG focused on storytelling. If you're a fan of the genre then you must play this game. Yes, the story is not as good and deep as in Witcher 3, but it's really mature and top-notch if it comes to the quality of dialogues (and dubbing).

    The city is big and beautiful. Driving car is OK, I don't understand people complaining about it. In the game you use it for transportation from point A to B which gives you terrific immersion with the world around you. Don't expect physics from Dirt 2.0, to me the most similar experience is Driver from PS1.

    Shooting/hacking/sneaking is good too. It's to allow you exploit your skills and gear and challenge you before progressing in the game. Again, this is RPG, not a shooter.

    The game is not a revolution as it was expected by some of us. Yet, it's a great game, one of the best if not the best game published in 2020. It has the same flaws Witcher 3 had: mediocre fight model, glitches, some engine issues, too complicated character's skills and perks, but overall it offers fantastic experience to a player. If you liked Witcher, if you like RPG, if you're fan of dark dystopian s-f, the game is for you.    … Expand

    I did my run on an OG 2013 PS4. I intentionally played unpatched 1.00 ver. of the game. This combination represents the single most maligned instance possible. Given that it also REQUIRES an auto patch if it detects internet immediately on release day bumped up to v 1.04 It is undoubtedly worse than 99.9% of PS4 instances out there.     So 17 BSoD's , 3 corrupt saves, and a room smelling slightly of melting plastic my 3 word review. "Its Pretty Good"

    Long review: Make no mistake I slogged through the absolute worst of it.. Here is the reality. This is a Mass Effect 3 situation. People already mad at the delays were basically looking to lynch CDPR regardless of what got released. So its the cult of public opinion out for blood. That does NOT represent the actual product CDPR put out.

    The game itself is good. A blend of GTA style open world with an actual hint of freedom and a dash of Bioware styled character driven narrative focus. Its not without flaws though

    Graphics: Ultimately this is as pretty of a PS4 game as you will find. Its graphics may not be as advanced as a GTA V/RDR2 where you can see things like shooting water sees actual shots in the water, Its a design choice so that they can focus on actual plot rather than irrelevant graphical garbage.

    Char model clipping being the notable issue. Models are fine it just takes time for the hardware to catch up. Have patience. Dont believe the SSs.

    Aesthetics: Lets get this out of the way. Cyberpunk is NOT a dystopian view of humanities future. It is a retro futuristic, 1988 view of the future. Makes sense given when Cyberpunk was created. For example Night city is not filled with mag levs or other tech on our immediate horizon. Its basically just a normal GTA style city that has more layers of upward highway development in a few places and coats everything in an oversaturated neon and over lit paint job and grimy over industrialization. All the cars are essentially circa 1988 that have unneeded extra doodads like tubes or extra set of tires that do nothing. Essentially like an 80s movie/show of the future would have imagined what the future would be. So think blade runner-ish but with more lights/neon colors and dank corridors.

    Gameplay: Essentially another Janitor Simulator game like Deus Ex or Bethesda games. You are basically a futuristic janitor dropped a huge sandbox of useless garbage to pick up and sort. It is a WELL worn gameplay mechanic that honestly needs to die with PS4 gen of gaming. That said its robust while not being too much. You will be stuck with as much inventory management as say Horizon ZD and way too few ways to alleviate it.

    The combat in the game is mostly strong enough. Not as bad as Bethesda games where its just the same CopyPasta dungeon run. Quests have SOME diversity to them. Just dont expect a lot.

    Music/Sound: One of the strong suits. With some of the songs being exceptional (The Parade track, phenomenal.) Most tracks memorable if a bit repetitive. Again, not futuristic, 80s futuristic.

    V/O cast did solid work and enviro audio is top notch.

    Characters: While very trope-y the game is well cast. Some scenes can be highly emotional. That is surprising when it involves temp chars who are not around for long. There are mostly likable though there is very little that are "original"

    Romances: BIG flaw here. Romance options are garbage. Its a wonder why they included them at all. Yes the game is WAY over focused on genitalia so it needs a reason for all those wasted polys. As with most RPGs with romance options there is a clear emphasis and development put toward homosexual options rather than straight ones. Panam is particularly awful as no one in their right mind would be attracted to that toxic mess of daddy issues. Yet they cut off more desirable chars like Judy to straight options.

    Bugs/glitches: They ARE everywhere but the reality is that the game is NOT as people keep claiming it to be "unplayable". I know it is not because I played thru just fine. Not a spoiled child. I can work around problems when they arise. Saw the worst it could throw and survived just fine. Better than In Fallout 4.

    In summary: Cyberpunk is a good game. Its flawed BUT heres the reality. Yes the game runs rough on PS4 BUT its also cross generational so when you get PS5 it will be waiting. Has advantage of 2020 being a drought year for RPGs.

    The game WILL be brought to a good state and CDPR is doing what they can to fix it. The big problem was not the devs, it was WB forcing release window timetables. So this may be the last CDPR console release due to the over reaction. Maybe it shouldnt been PS4 release but what they did release was good if only for promise of future fixes. 7.75/10    … Expand

    Wspaniała przygoda i niezapomniani bohaterowie. Genialnie wykreowane postacie, oraz miasto które które swoim "ciężarem" przygniata wszystko co do tej pory widzieliśmy w grach video. Niestety pełna błędów i ewidentnie nie zoptymalizowana w ogóle względem starszych maszyn. Mam nadzieję że kolejne łatki naprawia głównie płynność gry, oraz jej stabilność, bo graficznie(ps4 pro) jest naprawdęWspaniała przygoda i niezapomniani bohaterowie. Genialnie wykreowane postacie, oraz miasto które które swoim "ciężarem" przygniata wszystko co do tej pory widzieliśmy w grach video. Niestety pełna błędów i ewidentnie nie zoptymalizowana w ogóle względem starszych maszyn.     I only review games that i have completed. I want to make an exemption for this game because this gsme is like gran theft auto - you could run upto 150hrs and you still dont intend to complete it, plus i want to save this game from all the criticisms. I love this game, i think this game is perfect from all its aspects. Shouldnt be rating the game from its bugs because bugs we all know willI only review games that i have completed.     One of the best stories I ever played, with great side quests, good gameplay, a good rpg system but the game doesnt deliver everything CD Projekt Red promised and the npc AI is really bad, like NCPD officers just spawning in front of you then when you run away they just disappear and stop pursuit you. And the bugs and crashes really messed the game. So I hope CD Projekt Red fixes theOne of the best stories I ever played, with great side quests, good gameplay, a good rpg system but the game doesnt deliver everything CD Projekt Red promised and the npc AI is really bad, like NCPD officers just spawning in front of you then when you run away they just disappear and stop pursuit you. Nothing "game-breaking" has happened to me which means I've been able to truly immerse myself into this crazy futuristic world full of surprises. I think the voice acting is extremely well done and I found the story/writing to be very interesting. The shooting mechanics can feel a bit clunky at times and the graphics are amazing (depends on your system of course). The pedestrian AI is meh but the world they have built is just so incredibly dense with things always happening ensuring you are always having fun and discovering new things.… Expand

    The worst game I have ever played on my ps4. How can people release a game in this state and charge 70€ for it? It is a ripoff, a scam, a fraud. Actually theft if you add in the fact that they deliberately withheld the videos of console version of the game at the release. If even Sony kicks you out, you know that you messed up for good. Shame on you CDPR.

    I was hyped to hell for this game, I own a ps4 pro and this is my personal reflection on this game after 50 hours of playing. People are whining about bugs in this game, and it is mostly worth criticising. What i found, was the bugs weren't an issue, I have experienced nothing breaking the game, just things plain funny or slightly inconvenient. My gripe is with the    Honest review.

    What i found, was the bugs weren't an issue, I have experienced nothing breaking the game, just things plain funny or slightly inconvenient.

    My gripe is with the following:

    The car mechanics are terrible, the car damage is terrible, NPC seem to be zombies unless belonging to a gang or ncpd and the crashes...jesus christ on a bike. I think the game has crashed and gave me the blue screen at least 10 times.

    The stortline(s) are fantasyic, the story telling is what we are used to with CDPR, cant fault that, music and sound is incredible and the environment is stunning!

    Overall I am not dissappinted with the game AS A GAME, but slightly underwhelmed with the issues plaguing the technical side of the game.

    If you are playing on a PS4 pro I would recommend the game, it is great, however be expecting some bugs which can be slightly annoying, and crashes which will piss you off.

    If you have a base ps4, I havent played it on a base ps4 but I can imagine its not worth bothering with until you upgrade to a pro or ps5, or have a gaming PC.

    If you have a gaming PC just get it on there!

    Mostly, dont listen to the hate, it is a great game. Its definitely not a 3/10. Unless you have a base Ps4.    … Expand

One might also say that Cyberpunk 2077 is to The Witcher 3 as Fallout is to the Elder Scrolls. While the world looks amazing when running / driving around, unfortunately that is where the innovation ends. There is nothing in this game that has not been seen & done before ad nauseum. Huge world with tons of characters, items & quests, but it is essentially the same quests & content over & over. Drive from A to B, kill everyone (Rambo or stealth - doesn't matter), grab an item, make a phone call or send a message, get paid. Loot the same weapons & junk items, get over-encumbered, break down, sell, or upgrade the same weapons, rinse, repeat. The driving is simply awful, worse than Grand Theft Auto IV; motorcycles drive better than cars, some cars go faster than others, they all handle like boats. Same characters having the same endless, but thankfully skippable, conversations that will put you to sleep. For all the hype surrounding this game it is nothing special, just another open world game, and a $25-$30 game at that, hardly worth buying a next-gen console for.    … Expand

    Ok, i played the game now for around 12 hours the last 3 days on my ps4 slim and it's actually not that bad as expected. I followed the news and was not very amused about what i heard about the game. So, on the one hand many things are true:
    -some of the textures look really cheap and sometimes it takes a while till the loading is complete
    -frameratedrops also happened to me but not    Ok, i played the game now for around 12 hours the last 3 days on my ps4 slim and it's actually not that bad as expected. I followed the news and was not very amused about what i heard about the game. So, on the one hand many things are true:

    -frameratedrops also happened to me but not often and what is most important: not on exciting places or during combat action! So this is a relatively common thing in games nothing worth hating the game!
    -Sadly the game crashed two times in my 12 hours gameplay, which is also less often than i expected, still recommend quicksafe often.
    -Indeed it has some glitches and bugs, but also nothing which could make the game unplayable.

    Conclusion: The disadvantages and bugs we heard about in the recent days since release are true but on the other hand in Version 1.06 (current version) it's totally playable. Fighting is mostly flawless, till now i had no lags or FR-drops during shooting. Visuals look stunning at least in quest-conversations and during driving (car and asphalt) which is a big part of the game!
    Either way i'm not that interested in best visuals, i would always prefer gameplay and story over a great look, so maybe my review is way more positive that the others. So if you are a guy like me who prefers story and gameplay over visuals, this is a game I can recommend on the ps4 (at least if you don't posses a high end PC)

Now I'm stuck with a christmas gift that I will never play & my girlfriend is out $100 for this piece of hot garbage.     the framerate drops and bugs make this game unplayable. it renders embarrassingly slow which makes you have to wait for textures to load everywhere you go. all in all, the game is still a work in progress - this is only getting a two for my love of keanu and porsches.

Great concept, and obviously a lot of time went into development, but for an RPG fan there are limited relationship options, and not enough free play control like exploring the many buildings, buying real estate, traveling with your companion, etc. Could have been a 5, but falls way short.

    Despite some bugs and glitches, the game looks very awesome. At least on my PS4pro. The first impressions of Night City were literally breathtaking. I don't know any game so far with that kind of characters and side quests. I've spent 63 hours in Night City and I've never been bored any second.

But because the amount of enjoyment I had in this world, and the amount of value for $70 i got. as it sits right now' it's probably actually a 8.5, but I know a month from now its going to run like a 10/10 game that it is.     Played on ps4 pro, loved it, side quests and and crafting could be better, more choices that matter would be better as well. Romance, main story, etc. I dropped the review down a grade from my pc version, as it doesnt look as good and until the last patch, i would get many crashes

According to rumors the PS4 Pro version runs also a bit better (Warning: Second hand knowledge as I don't own it). Back to the game: The bugs contain but are not limited to: Slow downs, crashes, graphical glitches (atop on ugly graphics), teleportation / moving through wall characters, NPCs gone missing, hovering in mid air weapons / objects and KI doing hilarious funny stuff. This game was shipped unfinished and it not an accident as the bugs could not be missed. It is the intentional “Release it now and fix it later“ mentality that broke the game. Sadly I see the great game underneath it all and I think this makes it even worse. Gameplay-wise it is also not polished enough as many parts don't fell smooth. I think they should have taken more time to iron out the bugs and improve the gameplay. This could be one of the greatest mistakes of a game publisher. The fans are up in arms, the investors feel cheated (and want to sue CD Project Red), the stocks were down at the time of writing and the great reputation is destroyed or at least tainted. This will not be forgotten as there is no way that people will see this malpractice as accident. Overall avoid this game at the current state! Wait until there is a version available were patches fix the problems of the game (Can take a while as there are many).… Expand

Минусы: это оптимизация, даже в rdr 2 я мог взрывать динамит в городе и fps не просидал, но с другой стороны после нескольких патчей эти просадки исчезли. 2. I have invested hours into the game maybe the update have address the ones I would have ran into early game or the game GODs are generous I don't know. The game is fun the story is good its not Witcher level but its pretty good. I like the mix of cultures mostly Japanese urban mix blends well. The gun play is okay I wish they focused on the mechanics and RPG element better you can tell they really were just too ambitious but dosent make sense how Witcher 3 was more polish than this i don't maybe the game engine is not optimized for 4K yet Witch is in 4K so I can't tell you. Why the developers couldn't get it done but to say its a 10 or 1 is just immature and is not correct just like TLOU2 is not a 1 or 10. This game is a solid 7 or 8 taking into account game breaking bugs and combat could be a little better. CDPR most likely learned their lesson maybe they will fix this and make it right I can only hope. I believe holding them accountable get your money back but don't be like they are scum many of you still buy 2K, Bethesda, and EA game and they are true scummy companies and don't admit **** CDPR at least admit they f'd up and vow to fix it.     No, base console players do not expect PC level graphics. But it doesn't even hold up to the graphics of games made in 2015, because of terrible optimization. Grainy, blurry visuals with texture pop in and frame rate lag all combined with a bunch of bugs and at least one crash on any extended playthrough. Even with the latest update (1.06), it still looks as though it's being played on a low-end laptop from 2009...

    When open world games like Ghost of Tsushima and Red Dead Redemption 2 look phenomenal on base PS4s, there is really no excuse for a triple A title that said it ran "surprisingly well" on them months ago. At least be transparent about it.

    I really held CDProjektRed to a higher standard than other game companies, but after this blatant stab in the back to millions of gamers I just don't know about them anymore. Even investors are suing now for the way they misled console players all year long.

    Maybe the January & February patches will make it look like an actual AAA product worth sixty dollars, but right now it is not worth that price. What an incredibly awful, unexpected disappointment.    … Expand

    The game should be a 10 but its unfortunate the game released like this. It works fine on the ps4 pro but just playable. Frame rate is fine except when you are in gun fights which for is one the best parts of the game and then their are the many glitches and bugs.     Developers made a big work. Despite of a lot of technical problems I fell in love to cyberpunk and all this world and the characters. I believe cdpr will make the game better and they will fix all problems.

    Amazing game, that spoiled gen z babies want to run perfectly. I remember when skyrim released on ps3 and ran worse than this yet was praised by everyone. We as gamers have become spoiled and this is an amazing game with great gameplay and open world.

    Cyberpunk is a decent well rounded and rarely polished game with a vast amount of bugs due to the community not wanting to wait until the designated time for it to release. The story ends off well and gameplay is something to be desired while also feeding that nicotine addiction called gaming. If one looks past the bugs and choppy areas, Cyberpunk is definitely the game for you.

    Yes it is buggy but in most games today I have seen worse than this, And the story and acting and such are amazing. And already with Hotfix 1.6, it's great. And I'm on an OG PS4. And buy Spring or Summer once they have it fixed for us older consoles I feel this rating will climb.

    There's been 3 pathces for this game and the game is not a mess anymore. Crashes are basically fixed, FPS is now more stable, loading times are better and game braking bugs are fixed and small problems where also fixed, but there's still some left which they promised to fix in big update which are coming in January/February. Game has very good story/gameplay/sidequests stories. BasicallyThere's been 3 pathces for this game and the game is not a mess anymore.     Great game. Got into it for about 30h. Beautiful views, great story, masterpiece creation of new world. Don't believe haters, there were some minor bugs, but nothing serious. 10/10 recommendation.

    The bugs in this game are more engaging then anything EA, Ubisoft or ActivisionBlizzard has released this year.

    Yes this game was buggy on release but dont let that overshadow how much of a masterpiece this is.

    Anyone who rates the current version of this game above a zero is lying to themselves and you. I've lost count of the bugs and crashes. The mini-map is way too small. The combat is terrible. You can't adjust the settings. If you try you'll get stuck in the settings menu and be forced to restart the game. This game was released way too early. Simply terrible. Unplayable really.

And in almost 100% of cases, cyberpunk, in general, is not even comparable to Vice City. And if we compare even with GTA IV... Oooh... The game has terrible physics of cars. When you get out of the car at high speed, it just stops immediately. The game has just awful physics in general. Everything strives to crawl into other textures and get stuck in them. The game has disgusting water. It just doesn't react to anything. Moreover, it has extremely low-resolution. Next, the game has terrible AI. Throwing a grenade into the traffic jam? Be ready that everyone who was in a car in a traffic jam will immediately get out of it and take the same position. Also, NPCs cannot be pushed. If you try, you will pass through them. The cops will spawn in front of you... And I'm sure there are another billion such flaws. Besides, the game has a very, very, very short plot, or main quest, as you will. It takes a jiffy to walk through and approves of such a passage, but to get a good ending, you need to complete all the quests of the side characters. And here critical bugs come into play... In my case, for example (And when I was surfing the Internet, I discovered that this is not the only problem of mine), the scale of relations with Johny froze at 60 per cent, what made getting the best ending impossible.… Expand

Cyberpunk has an interesting story and several characters that are memorable. When it works and the game is not having any texture issues, Night City does look amazing and CDPR nailed the Cyberpunk vibe with the vehicles, the looks of the NPCs and the buildings plastered with ads that would be from that era. Combat can be fun with many ways to approach certain sections, although the hacking mechanics were more of an afterthought for me and enemy AI can be so stupid it makes the fun of combat inconsistent.

    I played the game on a PS5, so it was not anywhere near unplayable to playing it on a base last-gen console, however my play-though still had many crashes (around 1 per hour?) and game-breaking bugs that required me to reset the game or reload a save. Several times pop-ups would get stuck on the UI and it was extremely annoying. Not to mention NPCs would just fail to do animations properly, get stuck on terrain and T pose randomly.

    When CDPR manages to fix all these issues and who knows when that will be, we have a great game here. I am also keen to see what DLCs they will cook up, but for now, I would recommend staying away until they do fix it or if you managed to get your hands on a next-gen console and have extreme patience like I do then give it a go.    … Expand

    I launched Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS4 Slim several weeks after the release and most of the bugs were fixed, so I was able to play the game from start to finish. However, the quality of textures was painfully low, I usually had only 20-22 frames per second while driving around the city (with dips below 20), and some objects tended to disappear. The technical state and graphics of the PS4 version are awful, which is a shame, because the game itself has one of the best stories I have ever encountered, its gunplay is really good, and Night City is very impressive.     Cyberpunk 2077 is a game brimming with potential, and it damn near reaches it on so many occasions, but the pitfalls of its development ultimately drag it down. There's still a lot to like here for RPG fans and lovers of the genre, but it's far from the generation-defining masterwork that the world was waiting for.
