I am playing using xbox one x and this is game is state of the art. I see minor glitches but in the general whole story, design, creative ideas, and experience are awesome! I love this game! It states a new level of gaming.

PS If you have an old platform, but a new one and stop crying. If you want to play new games you need new hardware. Easy.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I would've normally gave it an 8 or even 9, but oh boy.... T H E B U G S.
What do i mean? Well i've recently discovered few glitches (2 of them actually crashed my game, the rest could be fixed by finding an exit, or just by loading the different save file). Lemme tell you those two examples:
    1. When there was a mission, where you had to go to a bar between 6:00 pm to 6:00 am (Nomad Path BTW) right at the beginning i've decided to press the Triangle when i was inside the bar, and oh boi, it just crashed, like nothing.
    2. I was riding a motorcycle after killing several civils. Then when i've bumped into something, and nothing happened right? Well, after pressing R2 to kind of recover it crashed again. Ignoring the glitch side, the gameplay is pretty well done, and the plot is pretty neat.
Please CDP Red. Fix those goddamn glitches, and bugs .
(PS I was playing on the PS5 btw. Via Boost Mode? Also i've encountered that second glitch even after installing the patch)
EDIT: Turns out the game is much more unoptimized then i thought. It is so bad, that it crashed on me three times in a row.
    Well. CDPR:

Great game. The atmosphere is wonderful and, of course, very futuristic. Playing on a PS4 Slim and didn't had any major problems. Almost done with the story and I need to say, despite not having a 1. Gen ps4, I think people shouldn't rate this game so bad. Yes it got it's flaws and bugs, but to be honest it's the community that put a lot of pressure on CDPR. They had to release the game toGreat game. Definitely would recommend this game, the story is absolutely wonderful. Can't wait to see where the cyberpunk world is going from now on.

Played it on PS4Pro on release and it was playable. There are were no major bugs, crashes every 3 hours were not very often because I don't have so much free time to play more than 3 hours per day. So technically game is not the purest release but it's sort of ok. Graphics is not good on PS4Pro. After TLOU2 and Ghost of Tsushima such level of visual is unacceptable but at the same timePlayed it on PS4Pro on release and it was playable. The best part of the game is plot, atmosphere, city, characters, lor etc. This part is freaking awesome. I remember names of all key characters, I remember their stories. Because they are interesting. Even this aspect of game worths to assess it as 10 out of 10.

Also I'm setting 10 because I want to have more single player releases in future. Otherwise we'll have that online **** like fortnite or genshin impact.

One more thing about Cyberpunk - sometimes it reminds me first parts of Fallout - Fallout 1 and Fallout 2. Guests, game stories are well written and they make you believe in them.

Advertising of the game with videos that do not correspond at all to reality. The game is unplayable: full of graphics and physics bugs, offbeat sounds in conversations, graphically reduced for the machine, a lot of slowdowns and drops in frame rate. A total disrespect towards the players considered as cash cows. This game should never have been released.

However, even though I liked it, overall, the scheming by CD PROJEKT RED doing everything in their power not to show how buggy the PlayStation and Xbox versions were is incredibly scummy. My game crashed a total of five times, seven if you count me having to quit twice because bugs made the game unplayable. This could have been a solid 8 but, in the condition it released in and the ironically hypocritical corporate actions by CD PROJEKT RED, I had to knock it down a few points. Expand

I have never played a new game that I gave up on after 8-10 hours, but this one. And I played Alpha Protocol on release. CD Project Red only released this game in this condition so the last generation ps and Xbox owners bought the game as the userbase is so large. My hopes that the developers can fix this mess is neglible small.
This is the last time I will buy a game from CD Project Red on release, or support them in any way.

Yes it does look like a roblox game if something isn’t loaded in, yes it has bugs. But the textures are because the REDengine doesn’t want load times when driving through the city so it loads textures as you get close to them. My biggest problems are just progress bugs and crashes which can easily be fixed by reloading a save. Most dialogue choices funnel in the same direction with little influence. V’s personality is already clearly defined with little room for the Player to be what they desire. The NPCs only act as set pieces, reciting the same one liners and crouching in identical positions when the player does anything violent. They drive in pathways that are painfully obvious and simply stop whenever there are any obstacles. Almost everything can be cheesed with stealth and de-aggroing. Many simple objects like chairs and machines are inaccessible, not even allowing for the player to participate in the world unless given a prompt from a mission. The immersion is just not there. I personally can handle bugs and crashes, but I dislike that this game was sold as something it isn’t.

Visuals appear better. Most of the vaseline is gone. Still far away from what was advertised on high end PCs. But enjoyable. Way less bugs.

One can see the vision of Night City. Great architecture of the city. Very engaging quests. Great immersion. I can sense how much effort was put in to create the quest gameplay.

Strong contrast to other undercooked parts of the game though.
The whole inventory menu feels lackluster. No subway just teleport points! Guess it wasn’t ready at launch.
The driving is weird. Could have used an autopilot to target location. Or a more advanced GPS guiding system.

I can see what CDPR has aimed for. BEST RPG, BEST GRAPHICS, BEST IMMERSION.
In order to achieve this it needed to be worked on a bit longer.
One can see the vision of night city. But the gameplay does not deliver.
One can see the immersion of main story quests and some side quests, but all other systems feel undercooked and do not deliver.

Can’t forgive the deception and the lies though.
CDPR should have scrapped the last gen versions alltogether. THIS IS A NEXT GEN GAME!

My admiration to the DEVELOPERS. My middle finger to the management. They wanted to make all the money! Shame!

Otherwise, appart from the occasional bug it crashes once per hour. Not great but serviceable.

Beyond all the bugs and performance issues... it is just a mediocre game that does not deliver....sadly!

I loved all the Deus Ex games, but never once did I ever think, hey that really looks like a place in real life. People mention glitches and bugs, but if you enjoy games like fallout, outer worlds/ elderscrolls and have ever enjoyed EVEN one science fiction movie/book this game is for you. I have never once completed 100% of the quests in a game, Cyberpunk is the first exception to that rule for me. Maybe the magic didnt work for people whose interests arnt as closely aligned as mine. However if you see any of yourself in me, I cannot recomend getting this game any more highly. Expand

Everyone heard about technical issues, so yeah, at this moment, in early 2021, this game is on edge on being playable, with a huge disclaimer that it had induces me heavily nausea feeling at early stages (I've got used to this super low frame-rate later, it seems). But the meat, The Story... isn't great at all. Main quests lines are boring as hell, only last part when you once in the game have any choice at all is ok, maybe pretty good, but everything before that is uncooked, unfinished, lacking of pacing, and time you must put, and character development. Its just hollow. Situation rescues some of optional quests, and oh boy, some of them are great, like, really good, fitting in universe, with rich characters, interesting story. Pure honey. But the rest of the same marked side quest are on main story level, so pretty low, or even lower. Some builds are fun, some are plain useless, when you're on the start of the game, uninformed, and you choose one of those failed play-style you're doomed. You must start a new game and grind through same quests, same dialogs, same fights, there's no replay value. One new game and that's all. You won't see any new stuff, nor fights are that good at their own. I really can't believe At this moment that in the future this game will be worth any price on PS4/XBO. But even in the better world, where the game was shipped without any issues, it isn't worth full price. Its just not good game, and those couple of quest aren't worth suffering at all. Expand

The Cyberpunk 2077 is raw, unpolished and bugged as hell. The more I play — the more broken quests, "silent" dialogues and other technical issues I get. I was sending bug reports and suggestions to the CDPR support since release, but I haven't got any replies. Zero. Not even automatic ones, so I don't know if they even check them or no. There are no answers, there are no patches, there is no roadmap. The day-one patch arrived on GOG later than on other platforms and after that only two useless "hotfixes" were released (it didn't fix anything for me). No real patches for a month, no new hotfixes for weeks. The Russian localization is terrible and Galaxy client resetting the language preferences every time I launch the game. (There is no such problem on other stores). And the client still crashes ten times per day.

I've heard a lot of complaints about optimization, but at least I don't have any significant problems on that front despite some minor fps drops and object popping. Though I've built my PC especially for Cyberpunk and my TV supports only 1080p resolution at 60fps which is likely the main reason I’ve got an ok performance.

GOG/CDPR stuff keep ignoring all problems with Cyberpunk and Galaxy launcher, but this isn't the only problem they prefer to turn a blind eye for. Some of you may know that they decided to cancel the long-awaited release of an indie game Devotion on GOG to please some Chinese bots. They've slaughtered the game without any reasons (the little placeholder with the hurtless joke was completely removed from the game years ago). And the main problem in this situation that GOG staff answered on Twitter bot messages within a few hours by fully cancelling the promised release not only for China but for the rest of the world too. At the same time, they keep ignoring thousands of their own customers for weeks. They’ve just silently deleted the announcement and cancellation posts without any official statement/explanation/comment, ignoring all questions and support tickets about their decision. Just check the GOG’s Community Wishlist — it is the most requested game of December and January. This is just another sign that GOG/CDPR changed their policy from being pro-customer to being pro-money. It isn't the first call, but it can be the last one for many loyal customers. Censorship can't be tolerated, especially political censorship — I'm sick of this **** in my everyday life.

So, after all of this, I’ve got really disappointed. I tend to buy way more games than I have time to play. And I prefer playing on another platform, but I used to buy second copies of the games I like on GOG only because I liked it's policy, customer-oriented service and wanted to support my favourite devs. But this isn't the thing anymore. I haven't even played 99% of the games I've bought on GOG, so, I've tried to request a refund for them. And they refused.

GOG support has finally answered on my ticket. First of all, they've completely ignored all my questions about Devotion. Secondly, they've refused to refund anything (not a single game from 340+ in my library!) They've also refused to comment on the bugs and estimated release of next patch for Cyberpunk 2077. (They've told me to contact "CDPR official channels" that haven't answered to support tickets in a month). Finally, they've refused to partly refund my physical copy of Cyberpunk 2077 so I could get the Steam version instead (I don't want to be forced to buy future addons on GOG and use their broken launcher anymore). They've told me that I should refund my physical collector's edition where I've bought it. But it isn't possible after you've opened the box and used the activation code. Well, I will be waiting for heavily discounted GOTY/Director's Cut/Enhanced edition on other platforms then.

I was supporting and advertising GOG for years. I've bought all CDPR games on release, including collector's editions and versions for different platforms (not to mention figurines and tons of other merch). I didn't expect that these companies’ management will start to wipe their feet on its loyal customers. I’ve missed the moment when they turned into EA/Activision siblings, but as far as history shows — it's the one-way road in this industry.

This is the last game I've bought on GOG. In the current state, I can't recommend it to anyone, nor I can recommend this platform anymore. I'm disgusted by GOG/CDPR recent actions and their new priorities. I'm disappointed by the way they've decided to handle situations around failed Cyberpunk launch and Devotion censorship. Their reaction (the lack of it) on customers' feedback is a disgrace and I regret supporting them so much…

The graphics/animations/physics/combat are which are pretty essential to the experience are mediocre compared to what was delivered on the same hardware for many other open world games. I especially compare it to RDR2 that had similar Dev time and even more ambitious goals. It's certainly a bad game if you take the technical aspects of it in the console platforms and one very much lacking by comparison to similar titles in most aspects. 2) It doesn't give me severe motion sickness like Fallout 4 did.

    3) The customisation is neat, but also kind of pointless since the only time we see our character is in the inventory or in mirrors that you have to interact with. It would be nice to have a third person option after they iron out the bugs. I also don't understand why we could customise our character's breasts and genitals, as there isn't much nudity in the game, V also showers with their clothes on.

    4) Getting to see the interior of the many different cars available in the game is fun and the driving isn't too bad compared to other games I've played, such as Watch Dogs.

    5) When live streaming it on the standard PS4, a friend who had been playing it on the PS5 had noticed I wasn't getting many enemies to deal with as she was, and when watching her live stream it on her PS5, I noticed there were more cars on the road. When I'm driving around I'll see a lot of cars in the distance, but when I get closer to them, they vanish. If I do see other cars on the road that are closer to me, they either drive really slow to the point that they're barely moving, or they will just randomly stop and not move at all.

It's not a perfect game, but I'm enjoying it at the moment, which is why I'm not giving it a 10. There's still a lot that needs to be fixed and if they can save it like Hello Games did with No Man's Sky, maybe then I'll give it a higher score.

If you manage to get the appropriate mods to help you in your samurai-slashing, gunning quests. Its satisfying and humour included. However, there are still major niggles that need to address for it to be 'playable'. Well tbh, I really love the game and didn't care much on the bugs. Here are some of the things that I will touch upon:

I am playing this on PS4 slim and will be touching on about the graphics. I'm playing on 2 different TVs at 2 different times; 1 is 1080p and another is UHD 4K HDR. If you play on a PS4 console, the 4K TV looks awesome (if you enabled the HDR option) and the 1080p looks like crap. Currently, the game is on 1.06 version in my PS4 and there are still some areas that caused the framerate to jinx the game and crash. I do have several crashes at first but after the newest update, not that much. I realized that if you went to an area with a lot of objects that interacts behind the environment. It starts to get buggy and the framerate fluctuates erratically. If you don't like the graphics, then disable the first 2 settings under graphics: Film grain and Dynamic Resolution Scaling.

The intellect of the AI for the NPCs and enemies are not that great and reactive. Really need to have a definite overhaul in this area to be competitive with other studios. People keep comparing with other open world games like GTA, Watch Dogs and RDR with Cyberpunk 2077. I could agree that more or less there are pros and cons. Cops don't give chase but drones could just destroy you in one shot when you trying to drive away. Enemies just...ogle themselves and stay in their own cover. There was few times I shot one guy and another 5 tripped over the dead body. lol, somewhat I believe the interactions of these figures can be better. Traffics, hijack, real-time timing, I believe that the perception of people having these expectations, completely destroys the enjoyment in experiencing Cyberpunk 2077. To every creation to its own. Stop comparing and experience the story properly.

I'm giving this game a 6 because I believed that there's something missing that requires immediate rectification. I hope CD Projeckt Red take this as a valuable lesson and do not rush the development of the game. Don't over hyped the game when it is not doable. So should you get this game on PS4? I suggest you wait awhile to get all the update patches in 2021. But, if you are so curios on the story line and, get the game. I recommend.

The reason I revised the score is because I've now played for 70 hours and (bugs aside) it is actually a pretty good game. Yes, there is a lot of cut content that CDPR lied about, yes there are a lot of half baked ideas, yes many things are shallow or unfinished. Yes the AI is absolute trash (it almost doesn't exist at all. Really bad). But if you can get past all that (and I understand many people won't) then its a great game.

The attention to detail in the content that is there is incredible, far beyond most other games I've played in my 25 years of gaming. The characters are also some of the best of any game, as is the music. The main story is a bit meh (again, feels rushed), but the individual story beats and side stories are fantastic. Hopefully they will flesh it out more in DLC... Also, many complaints about missing missions/unfinished quests are actually not true: you can end a questline without knowing by making the wrong choices. There IS player choice, its just not in your face (no "blah will remember this") and while I wish there was more and more impactful choices, its wrong to say they aren't there. The city is also quite fun to explore. The filler content annoyed me at first, just seemed to water down the good bits, but now on my second playthrough, I'm actually having a blast playing the filler. At the time of writing this, I've played about 90 hours and I'm far from finished.

Its also worth pointing out that there is still more content here than most games (ignoring the big competitors like red dead 2) and the quality of "most" of the (non-filler) content that's here is top notch. Its just overshadowed by many many shallow, half assed or downright cut features and the CDPR exec's lies. And the bugs. Oh god the bugs.

So in summary: its a good game, with lots of cut content. CDPR hyped it up with features that don't exist (they lied, you could say) and that's not acceptable. Its also a buggy mess which is not acceptable. But beyond all of that, there is some really great content that few other games have.

MY RECOMMENDATION: If you can ignore the bugs and shortcomings, play it, its great! But for most people, I recommend waiting a few months and seeing if the bugs get fixed and what (if any) extra content they add or cut content makes it back. Its a good game, but most people should wait.

    Original review:
I'll start with the good and work to the bad:

The good: story, characters, atmosphere and overall world are great. The writing is very good.

The neutral: most gameplay is decent. Not amazing, but not bad. Eg shooting is ok, driving is ok, etc. Nothing mind blowing, but not bad. Personally, I'm not a fan of first person shooting with RPG-damage numbers. I hate when I shoot someone in the head point blank and they don't die because it only did 200 damage instead of 300. If I shoot you in the head, I expect you to die. For this kind of game, I greatly prefer third person games. I don't mind first person, but I would have preferred third person.

Now for the bad and oh boy its bad: The game is a buggy mess. Seriously, not fit for purpose. It should never have passed certification. It crashes, it glitches, it freezes, it has rendering problems, audio problems. Lots and lots of problems. Overall, besides some crashes (approx. one every 5 hours) it hasn't been "game breaking", but it is annoying. Very very annoying.
And the graphics. Oh my **** god, how did they think this is passable? When the game scales its resolution down, eg when driving, it looks much worse than GTA5 (a 7 year old game!), its super low resolution, super grainy. Ghost of Tsushima, Days Gone, Detroit, Red Dead 2 -- all of these games look far, far better.

Its a good game that should never have been released for current gen consoles and needs another year of development to fix bugs. Shame on CDPR for thinking they could get away with releasing this mess.

This game is changing directions of how games will be developed in the future. Aby 10? It is massive, it has a unique screenplay and combats are addictive. With a new hotfixes it can be played with PS4 (even not Pro). I will it one more time with PS5.

What a buggy and, miserable launch Cyberpunk 2077 has been for us on consoles. On pc and next gen systems it seems to be fine but for us, well it's pretty bad, from pop ins or characters not speaking their dialogue as they are suppose to or even a crash every hour when you are either in a big part of the story or in combat and then crashes and you have to do it all over again.

My game at least crashed once or twice a day and I mean that. some how I found enjoyment with the game which sounds
ridiculous and controversial considering the platform I played it on. I think honestly I am a sucker for RPG's
as it is probably my favorite video game genre. As the game is entirely first person which I honestly love,
because I feel like I am actually V, and seeing my characters face wasn't a problem for me until a couple portions where the emersion kind of broke for me. I won't spoil the story as that is the best part of the game and everyone should at least get through once or watch others play it's your choice. Dialogue is pretty good but honestly they should have branched out your choices much more to create different branching narratives and keep the player guessing what is to come.

Gameplay is alright it sucks at the beginning as it feel very janky especially the camera feels slow and annoying and enemies are either brain-dead, bullet sponges or instant death. Which makes the game either annoying or difficult, even when the combat is repetitive you have ways to play the game either as a build who only uses melee weapons a net-runner who uses technology as their weaponry.

Even with guns you can customize your own V with different kinds of clothing but what sucks is that some of the clothing you want you can't see until after you put it on and if you want to keep your current clothes like your style you will have to upgrade it constantly so you don't get instant killed as the game gets harder as you level up. Crafting exists in this game but I found it pointless as you can get op weapons later in the game for free without the need to craft unless you're a completion-ist like myself then it will be your best friend. There is also skill points or perk points you can use to give yourself new ability's and adjust to your playstyle. For me I went for a stealth approach because screw those cameras and if I got caught whelp guns blazing I go.

Before I forget I only experienced two game breaking bugs one at the end of Act 1 and another at the end of Act 3 both involved keycards and the one involved an elevator. Also the vehicle AI is pretty garbage I think I hit more vehicles popping in then taking out enemies and you can literally run with your gun out no problem in front of people until you start to shoot at them, they will either duck and stay or run away from you. one more gripe the cops are terrible and literally the easiest enemies to trigger and run away as they will become endermen, and teleport directly where you are at and all you have to do to get rid of them is to run away for a few minutes and that is it.

What else is there to say well the side quests and storylines are interesting to do I didn't think they were boring or just annoying and It was a nice change considering a zone out in most side quests. The world is pretty big and their is a lot to do in terms of extra stuff like clearing out crime scenes or buying new vehicles. It's just a shame that you can't interact with the world as much like different animations when you buy weapons or even eat to heal.

To be sure I saw everything and I pretty much did I platinumed the game because that is how much I enjoyed but I think going back and grinding to 100% in it wasn't the best but I did just so I can have another to my completion-ist collection, until DLC because I want more of the story and better gameplay. But the next updates really need to fix it, just so everyone can get the enjoyment I experienced. Is it worth buying well not digitally because Sony took it off the store. You can really only buy it on disc but I would say wait it out as i should hopefully be fixed by then. Is there a good RPG in this? Well yes and no but that is up for you to decide and if you enjoyed the game and people say that you shouldn't like it well remember its an opinion and don't let anybody change that for you.

So after 80+ hours of playing this game I have finally made it to the credits and I gotta say I, as well as many others, overhyped this game.

Let me first put in my positives. I enjoyed the games story and characters for the most part. I looked forward to each interaction with them and had fun interacting with all the many personalities of the game. Progression felt rewarding and I LOVED my hacker build, just the idea of killing enemy npc's by just looking at them felt very satisfying and made it feel more like a cyberpunk game. I thought if I focused on a weapon specialist build it would just feel like Farcry and I have played plenty of that series. The world of Night City was fun to explore and experience with every story mission I was given. I enjoyed crafting stronger weapons and hacks so I could be the best merc in Night city.

Sadly I believe that is where my positives end. The game"s many bugs, glitches, and crashes (of which I had around possibly over 20) pulled me out of the game and made me think this game was not ready for release even with all of its delays. Npc's T posing, hacks not working, items floating in midair, etc. This game needed a few more months in the oven before releasing on console. There was a bug that even caused a reward in a mission to not pop up. So here is a warning: do NOT do the Psycho Killer side job until it is patched, the mission offers you nothing for a reward

Next is the driving. My God, the driving in this game SUCKS! I was able to get better handling vehicles but that was much later in the game and by that time I mostly just fast traveled and walked. I cringed whenever I was given a mission that required me to drive a damn vehicle. Also to add I got annoyed whenever someone messaged me about a "vehicle for sale" and the map becomes littered with icons that look like quest icons but are just vehicle purchase icons.

Next is the gameplay. While I enjoyed my playstyle I have to admit that it was way too repetitive. Almost every gig or sidejob is the same for each area:
Go here and kill a dude
    Go there and steal something
Go to this computer and plant malware or download info
Kill everyone in the area and get the evidence
    Destroy this gang hideout.

The only thing that changed was the gang that ran the area and that was it. And since I am on the topic of Night city areas let me say that for a place that was described to us as "everyone wants to live" a majority of the city is dead. I mean I would go to certain sections and there would not be a single NPC for a few blocks.

And I think this will be the last thing I didn't like about the game. The lifepaths. I don't know what was so special about this life path stuff when my friend hasn't had much of a different experience from his corpo path compared to my nomad path. The only thing that was different was the beginning 10 minutes and a couple lines of dialogue, that's it. The lifepath was pretty much meaningless and has no real effect on the game or it's story.

This game was, at best, an above average game with above average gameplay and bugs and glitches that didn't help it. I warn you to just wait for a sale and hope everything gets better with future patches.

Gameplay is not always perfect but once you invest a bit more in the direction you want your character to develop (and there are many options), Cyberpunk 2077 gets very satisfying. What makes the game stand out really are the great characters, the interesting and imaginative world and the great dialogues. On PlayStation 4, this game sucks a lot when it comes to bugs, frame rate, overall visual quality and lots of technical difficulties. But, underneath all this crap, there is a great story-driven RPG gem that made me ignore all the bad things about it, which will hopefully be patched overtime. I'm looking forward to play this game again on next-gen. I'm finishing it on PS4 for the story.

The side missions are just way better because you can get behind the character's easier and you know what your dealing with throughout the entire characters story.Im not saying a bump and a turn is a bad thing, but if you make a bump and a turn make sure your audience still says interested !!

One more thing i want to add regarding the story is that we didn't pay for cyberpunk we paid for Keanu Reeves.Which is bloody misleading. The game delevopers spent more time idolizing Keanu more than focusing on V

And the ending was just dissapointing regardless of which ending you get.

In terms of driving, its gta 4 ( wayy more slippery though )
Combat feels stiff like og modern warfare stiff

    Too many bugs and glitches

And there are almost no side activities

Wait for a 50% discount before you buy
Trust me, your not missing anything P.S Just because its ps4 doesn't excuse it for looking bad, look at games like rdr 2 and tlou 2

Overall im giving it a 6 because regardless of its issues and dead world there are still humorous times in the story and and the first half of the story i found rather impressive as well as the side missions.

PS5: When it comes to the storyline, it's facial expressions, performances and plot itself, the game shines and shows how incredible it could be. During those times, it's evident that there's been tons of work put into THAT aspect of the game. The city itself is an amazing looking set and again something that show's us all how amazing things could've been. During those times, it's evident that there's been tons of work put into THAT aspect of the game. The city itself is an amazing looking set and again something that show's us all how amazing things could've been. Graphics when it comes to the main story models (Eveline, Judy etc.) and the city itself can look incredible at times and on a high end PC, things can look better than ever. BUT as soon as you are not running from one map marker to another doing the story with tunnel vision, everything falls apart.

There are no police that can drive cars and that means there are no car chases, apart from what has been very strictly scripted to happen during the storyline. There are no NPC's that can ride motorbikes. The NPC's in their cars can't drive around obstacles.

The NPC's that spawn outside of vehicles have 1 role and they will do that role ad infinitum. You have your "wall leaners", your "standing at a stall" models, your walkers.. etc. They do one thing and one thing only. There is no variety or dynamic aspect to their behavior apart from one or two randomized audio lines that come out of their mouths when you "interact" with them. If you follow a walking npc, they will turn 180 at the end of the block and walk right back. If you fire your weapon, they will all duck and cower and if you look away from them and back again, they have diseappeared.

This is the worst NPC system we have seen in well over a decade, when talking about AAA-games. It was also advertised with a sentence "We've greatly enhanced our crowd and community systems to create the most believable city in any open-world game to date".

The AI is terrible in all gameplay, even storyline, which hampers the game at every step of the way and especially if you try to play as some sort of a netrunner like I did, putting your skillpoints to intelligence and tech, your gameplay will be limited to opening doors either via your tech skills by hand or point and clicking to "hack it". You can also quickhack anyone you see in such an exiting fashion that you point at them and select something from a boring menu. That's it. Such hacking!
A text and UI based only game called "Hacknet" on steam does a better job at making you feel like you're actually doing something hacking related. We were shown in the 48min gameplay that we could plug our cable into stunned enemies and hack their network that way and enable quickhacking, but this was scrapped too. This could've improved things so much by making it so you can even get viruses (debuffs) if plugging in unprepared. You could maybe upload viruses to their network, would expose yourself to enemy netrunners in the network (as opposed to any netrunner managing to overheat you from a different room whenever like now) and with a few minigames accompanied with augments that give you an edge in said minigame (ala mini Gwent) you could actually feel like you're infiltrating a system and hacking your way around things and battling netrunners etc.

But no, it's laughably half-assed in every way. Crafting or upgrading barely serves a purpose as you can just keep on looting, as loot is everywhere, you can't talk to anyone except questline npc's, there's NOTHING TO DO in the city if not starting something from a map marker. Can't interact with BD's, no stripclubs, no clubs with interactivity, no playing minigames - it's just empty.
Then there's also the fact how they advertised it as a visceral mature experience and are now backpedaling by adding boxers/underwear on the main character when showering and in photomode, even after someone selects to add genitals and turns nudity off. Adults still can't decide themselves. Two prostitutes, 1 male and 1 female - yet said themes advertised at every corner of the world. Can you experience this future city of sin? No, you can not, not even out of curiosity or immersion.
Not only did they backpedal in features and promises, but in vision and integrity, censoring their own product. This was still a developer I expected to not compromise, not half-ass and NOT LIE. I was wrong on all parts.

...and that's all without even adressing the bugs. The bugs will be fixed.. but the rest; I wouldn't hold my breath. The contrast between the story and unfinished aspects just makes everything feel even more sour. Many crashes have ended up in a long sigh and not wanting to boot the game again.

A more linear/structured experience that wasn't trying to be everything at once could've worked better. It could've also benefitted from not being announced 8 years before release. But hey, 8 mill sales on day one must've been worth it.

Let's remember this the next time they release something. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

The mainline story is interesting and there is fun to be had in that but dont expect anything outside of that. The world is very un-organic, the people walking around in the city are totally boring and there is no interesting police-feature like the one in GTA V. You cant create chaos like you could in GTA V, it just sucks. The handling and driving of cars/bikes are quite poor in this game too - its ok to get you from point a to b, but again _nothing_ like the vehicles in GTA V.

I ended up refunding this game when playstation offered it for everyone - I would'nt recommend this game on any console to anyone. The Music in this Game is absolutely masterful!I was driving around and vibing to the Radio, Cyberpunk 2077 has, hands down, one of the best OST's ever.
Night City is one of the best cities I have ever seen. In fact, the best, standing shoulder to shoulder with Los Santos.
The Combat and the Weapons are awesome too, since the Bossfights are top class, the Variety of Weapons is awesome, and the Variety of Enemies is also good. Yet you will encounter the same enemies in the parts of Night City as there are leading gangs in the parts of the City.
The Driving is alright in first Person, yet awesome in 3rd Person. The Cars look fantastic too.

And now, the Bugs. The Game is unplayable on every PS4 Version, there are a LOT of Bugs. Some are hilarious, yet most of them are annoying, and game breaking. A quick YouTube search should show you how bad the PS4 versions are. They ruin the otherwise well set mood and break the game. It cant be played and enjoyed on PS4.

CD Projekt knew everything. They false marketed it, showing PC recorded Gameplay and saying it was PS4. More then 50% of Gamers are still on PS4 and Xbox One, since it is hard to get a Next Gen Console in this Pandemic.
They lied to us, they were only thinking about Money. I am sure the Game will be fixed asap, yet the reputation of CDPR will suffer from this a good while. The Management is very poor in CDPR,and it showed with Cyberpunk 2077

If you have the game, you should absolutely get a refund. Since it isn't acceptable on PS4. It is the same with Xbox One.
Awful, CDPR. I will not forget it.

I launched Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS4 Slim several weeks after the release and most of the bugs were fixed, so I was able to play the game from start to finish. However, the quality of textures was painfully low, I usually had only 20-22 frames per second while driving around the city (with dips below 20), and some objects tended to disappear. The technical state and graphics of the PS4 version are awful, which is a shame, because the game itself has one of the best stories I have ever encountered, its gunplay is really good, and Night City is very impressive. Cyberpunk 2077 is a game brimming with potential, and it damn near reaches it on so many occasions, but the pitfalls of its development ultimately drag it down. There's still a lot to like here for RPG fans and lovers of the genre, but it's far from the generation-defining masterwork that the world was waiting for.
