    I'm reviewing the PS4 version of the game, which is heavily influencing my final score here.

    What a promising yet severely undercooked mess this game is. I preordered Cyberpunk 2077, and waited with such excitement to play. I loved the story premise: the underbelly of a world consumed by greed, guns, and technology. But what this game is really consumed with is its own technical flaws,    I'm reviewing the PS4 version of the game, which is heavily influencing my final score here.

    What a promising yet severely undercooked mess this game is. I preordered Cyberpunk 2077, and waited with such excitement to play. I loved the story premise: the underbelly of a world consumed by greed, guns, and technology. But what this game is really consumed with is its own technical flaws, and they are flat-out unavoidable. I had at least 15 hard crashes, invisible NPC's, texture pop-in, horrible draw-distance, clipping issues, frame drops, the list goes on. The game's story is well-made, and is the tired glue attempting to hold this train wreck together. Heck, it's so bad that SONY literally removed it from the PS Store for months.

    Even playing the game on PS5, it STILL fails to meet the expectations presented by CD Projekt Red themselves. Will it ever be able to overcome its faults? I doubt it. Another disappointment to add to the hall of shame alongside the likes of Star Wars: Battlefront EA and No Man's Sky.

I was stoked, really stoked about this game and I waited for it since its first appearance at E3 like.. 7 years ago? They promised and even "showed" incredible content, I was blown away.     The game runs really bad on a standard PS4, everything takes a long time to load, from textures to objects, it runs in low resolution and low framerate, and it's not even beautiful, a total disaster. CDPR tried to hide that until launch day and it's unacceptable.

    Отвратительная оптимизация на паст гене, никакого РПГ, пустой город и плохое управление транспортом. Но не смотря на это просто ахуительнейший сюжет который затянет до титров и местами хорошие сайд квесты, гриндить в этой игре для меня было удовольствие и я надеюсь пройти ещё в 3 раз уже на PS5 когда они выкатят обновление. Дать бы игре ещё года 2 на полировку, тесты и не вырезая контент,Отвратительная оптимизация на паст гене, никакого РПГ, пустой город и плохое управление транспортом.     Игра отлично играется на пс5, сама игра пушка, хоть и смог нормально поиграть только спустя год после выхода. Специально зарегался тут, чтоб поставить 10 и повысить общую оценку игры.

    No matter how cheap they offer you this game.... don't do it. This is NOT The Witcher, this is not the CD Project Red we remember and this is not the game we were promised.

    After playing it for over 15 hours now, I have only been faced with a few visual glitches and one crash, it’s clearly better than at release, when it works it’s a masterpiece, but that’s when it works.

    i played 100 hours with 20-13 FPS for real and one mission was under 10 FPS painnnn!!!!!!!

From pop-in, falling through the world, constant crashes, slow loading textures that sometime take 20+ seconds to fully render in, N64 looking NPCs, vehicle physics gone wild, T-Posing NPCs, unplayable frame rates that almost constantly stay at 15, this gives Rockstar's "Grand Theft Auto IV" PC port and Bethesda's "Fallout 76" a run for their money.

    Congrats CD Projekt Red, you accomplished what only Hello Games' "No Man's Sky" managed to do. I hope you're happy with yourselves. As for Sony, delist Cyberpunk 2077 from the PS4 store and give out refunds accordingly, you got a lot of support tickets to handle.

    UPDATE (11/8/2021): Cyberpunk 2077 has been updated on last gen for an entire year to improve performance and stability. This is rather good and all, however it should have been this way since launch. But nope, you did your best to show only the PC version because you knew it would be a dumpster fire the moment it hits store shelves. You are going to stay in the red for me, CD Projekt Red. It'll take a lot for you to get out of this one.    … Expand

    11months later, game still has major issues when playing. Textures not loading up, music cutting out and in, just weird **** happening all the time. This game is worth 10bucks if you ask me, not $90 what I paid for.

    Played it through with PS5 and to be said it worked smoothly, but there was a lot of bugs and the game crashed every now and then. Still one of the best games I have played. I really enjoyed the main story as well as the side stories and in my opinion the battle/ combat + gears and weapons are great! Definately will give it another go after the next gen version comes out.

    o game tem uma ótima historia porém pecou na otimização e veio cheio de problemas de desempenho e bugs , porém parte dos bugs forem arrumados e o desempenho ficou ótimo com a vinda do patch 1.31 os frames ficaram estáveis em sua maior parte nos 30 fps sem as quedas que existião no patch 1.0 hoje o jogo tem um otimo desempenho e é jogavel zerei a campanha sem problemas no meu PS4 FAT assimo game tem uma ótima historia porém pecou na otimização e veio cheio de problemas de desempenho e bugs , porém parte dos bugs forem arrumados e o desempenho ficou ótimo com a vinda do patch 1.31 os frames ficaram estáveis em sua maior parte nos 30 fps sem as quedas que existião no patch 1.0 hoje o jogo tem um otimo desempenho e é jogavel zerei a campanha sem problemas no meu PS4 FAT assim com a experiência que eu tive no patch 1.31 daria 8 de nota sem frescura é um bom jogo só foi lançado no momento errado .… Expand

    O game em si é bom, tem um gameplay divertida e uma história muito boa e longa.
    Pena que ele ainda possui bugs que , em minha jogatina, foram apenas visual. Mas recomendo pega-ló em promoção, já que paguei 40 reais a mídia física. Tomara que melhorem ele logo!!

    This is my second pre-order. The first was andromeda. After that I promised myself never to pre-order any game. But it is CP2077 from my lovely studio. I love The Witcher all of my heart. I resisted until the last moment, but after reviewing many videos and articles, I made up my mind and placed a pre-order. and now I'm shocked at how I was treated. hope the patches improve theThis is my second pre-order.     Update: I completed main quests, played on ps4 slim and was satisfied. I'm waiting for patches and restart the game to 100% complete. Hold on, guys!

This is probably 8 or 9 out of 10, but I change the rating to 10, the reviews here are too understated, it would not hurt people to check the facts and tha game. Визуально, аудиально и даже тактильно на курках ощущается вся атмосфера игры. А какие здесь персонажи. Я запомнил каждого хоть мало мальчик значимого для сюжета персонажа! Каждого! Каждый из них цепляет и раскрывается. А есть настолько раскрытые персонажи, что к концу игры, ты их воспринимаешь как собственных знакомых и друзей. Уж очень многое вас зсвязывает.     Deserves a second chance

    So the AI is bad and it’s very buggy. But the atmosphere and the emphasis on the story is so great that I can’t call this game a piece of trash even on a base PS4. The bugs are mostly fixed and the AI has slightly improved. Hopefully they’ll start releasing DLCs to reboot the game

    I managed to get a good chunk of it (around 30 hours) before Sony approved the refund.
    Not the most particularly best game out there, but it kind of grows on you once the story starts to unfold. And once you get used to the mediocre gameplay and the inconsistencies of the PS4 port.

    I have to uppgrade my rewiev from a 7 to a 9 now as I no longer run in to that many gitches (on the ps5) it is still not a 10 as I still can find some things in the world and other things But my 9 is not really a 9 but a 8.5 unabel to give that score but well well

    Now, after 8 hours into the game so far and having a base PS4 model, the game has only crashed once! But I have encountered several bugs, not critical for gameplay, but they decrease the overall experience...

    Just as it happened with The Witcher 3, the glitches have prevented me to complete at least 3 GIGs/Jobs (the equivalent to quests) and despite the fact they are not critical, I wanted to clear that part of the map before moving into the main storyline...
    Potato mode sometimes pops up, specially after driving fast in the car and approaching NPCs... it takes around 3 to 5 seconds to get the graphics corrected... Inhave not found “moonwalkers”, nor empty zones... the world is alive and full of NPCs... but the graphics are unfortunately downgraded in my 7 year old PS4... not like the crisp and sharp ray traced graphics on a powerhouse gaming PC which many of us cannot afford!

    CD Projekt Red should have mentioned this... they should have released the game next year in base consoles, after patching everything... YES, 1 year after the release of PS5... and then offer an upgrade for PS5... PC version should have come as the main console to play this game... that was not nice!

    I am eager for the patches... I am eager for them to correct the bugs and glitches as this is indeed an ambitious project, and the look and feel is there... gameplay is awesome... RPG mechanics is great... I am probably too soft by giving a 8/10 but I love the game and the setting... and I have been waiting for this eagerly for the past 7 years... and although (as it hapenned with The Witcher 3) the graphics are not what I expected, the game is really awesome... one year from now we will be talking about how great this game is, after it has been patched... in the meantime we hardcore CD Projek Red fans will have to play and try not to enrage ourselves with it... they have promised patches, I bought this game last saturday when the Hotfix or the 1.04 patch was released, and overall it has improved vs what I have seen on youtube... it is not enough, but CD Projekt Red has already promised big patches for january and february... I know is hard, I know is disappointing... but do not deprive yourself of playing suchc a fantastic game... open your mind a little bit, you will enjoy it despite the bugs!    … Expand

CDPR deserve all the criticism for realeasing CP77 in the state they did, but it's not worse than what Bethesda have done with every Elder Scrolls orA year later, and I'm hoping the PS5 version will be released rather sooner than later. So while that does not make up for all the scummy things that went on behind the scenes, it does mean I have finally been able to experience the content it offers and can review the actual game itself, rather than just remarking on its technical shortcomings and CD Projekt RED's lies. A game that, while still good, is nowhere near what we were promised it was going to be.

    Night City is a massive place filled with enough side-quests and odd jobs to keep you busy for hundreds of hours. Almost all of which have a level of writing comparable to that of GTA V's. The world itself is diverse, teeming with life, and is one of the best I've experienced in all my years of gaming. I often found myself forsaking driving and walking to my objectives just to take in the sights.

    Unfortunately, your interactions with it are painfully limited narrative-wise. It's a good story. One filled with incredibly well-written and acted characters I grew to genuinely care about. It's just not even remotely as open-ended as they told us it was going to be. The main plot thread is very linear with each quest largely playing out the exact same way every time right up until you choose an ending. It makes multiple playthroughs kind of boring as you've basically seen everything it has to offer the first time around save for the actual different endings themselves. Yeah, you can pick another background for your avatar, but outside of the occasional dialog option this only affects which prologue you'll receive and has no real impact on the rest of the experience. Compare this to CD's earlier work The Witcher 2 where a choice you make relatively early on can take you to two entirely different areas complete with their own content and you have a noticeable and significant step back for the developer.

    There are some other, more minor aspects of the game that aren't up to par as well. Like the character creation system that favors superfluous feeling cosmetic decorations over rather basic means of crafting facial structure. Did we really need the ability to select genital size in lieu of being able to shape foreheads? I think not. The shooting and driving controls are also loose, which led to a lot of tinkering in the menus before they became useable for me.

    Forever marred by the dishonest and even illegal business practices of its creators and (at times VERY) rough around the edges, Cyberpunk 2077 is still worth playing for the things it does brilliantly and the myriad number of ways you can use technology to transform your body into the ultimate killing machine. In a lot of ways it was the futuristic gangster life simulator I never knew I wanted. Yet, this is far from the genre redefining RPG it was marketed as and lags behind its peers in some embarrassing ways given the talent putting it out. So when all is said and done this is merely a "good" game when it should have been the next big thing.

The main story is great, with amazing characters and great WRITING, which is CDPR's BIGGEST strength. Many people may complain about the shorter main story compared to witcher 3, but that is preferable to a bloated ubisoft mess. However, the thing cyberpunk's content will be remembered best is the Amazing yet completely missable side content. The AMAZING writing involved with Panam, Judy, Kerry, Rogue, Jefferson Peralez, Lizzy Wizzy, Us cracks, River, Johnny, even a sentient soda machine and a mad homeless guy is what shows CDPR's biggest strengths and imo SAVES cyberpunk from being a forgivable experience. Cyberpunk, along with The last of us part 2, will be among the most DIVISIVE games in the coming decade, with many as myself loving it besides the flaws, and others hating it as it killed their mothers, I think time will be nice to Cyberpunk 2077, But CDPR should get all flak for launching in a unacceptable state while at the same time praising the strengths in this game. Metacritic will never be nice to this game, but on a sale, you should try it it out for 40-60hrs of good eurojank that is basically a scifi witcher game… Expand

    I gave it 1/10 on my PS4 Pro and got a refund.

    I have now, as of 5. sep 2021, played it on a PC with a 3080 ti. Almost no bugs after 60 hours. Great graphics with raytracing. Probably the best looking game ever.

    It feels like a completely different game. A great game. So I have changed the score to 10/10.

    Started playing CP2077 after patch 1.3 on PS5 (aug 2021), several hours in and I'm very excited, the game will be in my top ten of favorites. Despite all the negative and over the top news coverage I never lost hope the developers would fix most of the bugs. Don't forget the complexity of making such a massive game. Keep believing and supporting CDPR, it will be worth it!

    Overall, it's an average open world game after multiple playthroughs. The world is unconvincing and the majority of side content is bland and uninspired.

    Hacking, what was thought to be a key part of the game was boiled down to quickhacking. A feature which is severely lacking in depth.

    Despite that, the story still is pretty decent. With intriguing characters but poorly paced missions.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. On launch, this game was borderline unplayable on PS4. However, I'm reviewing this about eight months after release, and the updates that have been pushed out in that time have done wonders. There are still some performance issues (framerate stutters when driving at high speeds is mostly what I've noticed) and annoying bugs (objectives not triggering, HUD glitches, and other things that generally require reloading a save), but there's a solid game underneath those problems.

    Where Cyberpunk really shines is in its writing. The characters are great, and I very rarely go through a conversation without milking as much dialogue out of the NPCs as possible. Both the main storyline and many of the side quests have interesting premises that are well-executed--I particularly enjoyed one line of side quests which revolved around a condemned man choosing to die by crucifixion for the purpose of it being turned into a braindance and your participation in making it happen. Unfortunately, the gameplay is very okay. Gunplay is relatively standard, most progression feels pretty meaningless, and the hacking/netrunning mechanics are just un-fun.

    All in all, I have enjoyed (and am enjoying! it's a big game) my time with Cyberpunk, but it's still hard to reconcile what the game actually is with what it could have been given the hype.    … Expand

    O jogo começa bem, pouquíssimos bugs no prólogo do jogo, cenas de chocar e arrepiar até a alma. Logo após Jhonny silverhand aperecer e o mundo aberto realmente aparecer, o jogo começa a mostrar os sinais de instabilidade e mecânicas mal terminadas. Os bugs são diversos, como carros em baixo do chão quando os chamamos, policiais imortais e teleportando atrás do jogador, armas específicas (como Gorilla Fists) não renderizando e não sendo usável, tendo assim que esperar cerca de alguns segundos pra poder entrar em combate, armas que não atiram mirando, não recarregam, ambientes que te fazem esperar alguns segundos até carregar, não os deixando os acessar ou até mesmo jogando você pra baixo da terra com a renderização mal feita... Esses são os bugs que consigo me lembrar, mas se fosse pra se fazer uma lista, essa Review seria infinita.
    Bugs visuais como não poder começar uma missão pois o NPC não carrega, o ambiente não carrega, a terceira pessoa não ativa no carro, enfim... Bug é o que não falta.
    Em questão das mecânicas mal feitas, foi feito uma divulgação de se poder atirar de dentro de um carro, por exemplo. Porém, essa mecânica só acontece no começo do jogo ou em algumas missões específicas, coisa que era pra ser feita de qualquer lugar
    Jogos como GTA já tem essa mecânica como base pra carros, mas em cyberpunk, voce pode invocar deus e o mundo mecânico fora de um carro, mas dentro deles, seu personagem se torna uma esponja de balas, e rezem pro carro não explodir enquanto você sai dele.
    Outra mecânica como a "não-letalidade" das armas. Isso só muda algumas linhas de diálogo específicas, mas pode ter certeza que não muda nada deixar um inimigo vivo ou estourar a cabeça dele com um rifle de precisão. Joguei com ambas builds melle, armas e stealth. De longe você sobrevive com qualquer uma do jeito que quiser, a variedade de gameplay é grande.
    Só precisava de mais um ano de produção pra ser acabada melhor.
    A história é maravilhosa, se você não se importa com gameplay brigada e malfeita e quer jogar no fácil só pra curtir uma boa história, pode ter certeza que vale a pena! Os personagens tem sua própria personalidade e carisma, cada NPC tem seu estilo e jeito (quando não bugam de alguma forma)
    Então, resumindo? História: ótima! Todo o resto: mal acabado e bugado até o fim, mas consegui terminar o game três vezes, tenho certeza que você também vai
    Talvez se o jogo fosse melhor acabado, ganhasse um "jogo do ano", mas não foi o caso    … Expand

    Tried this after all the new patches and on PS5 in June 2021 after waiting 6 months with quite a few crashes and bugs. The airline and concepts are awesome and what my rating is for. Graphics and physics look like something for ps3 which makes it hard to play in this day and age.

This is what I did and I also waited until 1.12 patch, so my review is based on the game's performance on a PS4 slim with a Samsung T5 external SSD. I played it over 150 hours and other than occasional hiccups and very few minor bugs didn't experience any problems at all.First, I need to tell potential players that in order to avoid technical problems you must install it to an SSD. This is what I did and I also waited until 1.12 patch, so my review is based on the game's performance on a PS4 slim with a Samsung T5 external SSD. Textures loaded just fine, framerates were totally acceptable etc. SSD is the game changer here. This game is simply impossible to handle for a 5400 rpm ancient HDD so if you have such a system stay away.

    That said the game is incredible and very entertaining in every way. The city design is so cool that you can spend a lot of time loitering around and sightseeing. The graphics are incredible. Both the main story and main side missions are very well written and intriguing. There are tons of gigs and small side missons as well so the game keeps you entertaining for a long time. It's like a combination of GTA V, Deus Ex and Fallout 4. You can solve missions in different ways based on your characters different skills so it's got a strong element of RPG and replay value as well. The only downside I see with this game is low AI with the street NPC's which I couldn't care less about.

    I Have been playing Cyberpunk 2077 for the past couple days and there of been small glitches like things not wanting to access menus and things not appearing in like cut scenes, but I haven’t really run into any game breaking glitches that will make the game and playable most of those things can be fixed by reloading my save so I’ve had a pretty enjoyable time playing the game.

    Had to change my review, as the game progresses the glitches get insanely high; I am restarting the game every 10 mins now. Gun dont fire, enemies become immortal, car stops driving, weapon gets stuck on firing and cant reload just makes shooting sound, missions dont progress.

    last patch finally allowed me to enjoy the game on PS4. I am in love with the plot. Currently, it is one of my favorite games for this console generation.

    Thoroughly impressed by the story, it's originality stands out from the crowd. The voice acting from female V was outstanding. The game grew on me the more I played it, I've finished it and think it's definitely one of the best games I've ever played.

    The technical performance of this game on PS4 after version 1.23 has made a big improvement but there's still a bit more room for polish.

    Great story and characters but unfortunately with a bad optimization on ps4. Bugs, fps drops, terrible textures and resolution. Until now i`m very disappointed :(

    I play on base ps4 on patch 1.23 and i dont have any bugs maybe i am lucky, game is good and i enjoy every minute i spend with it, but game is still missing real moral choices like in Witcher 3 especially in side quest

Беспрецедентное погружение в игровой мир, я его чувствую, не хочу чтоб это ощущение заканчивалось, стараюсь проходить очень медленно, на максимальной сложности, заглядываю за каждый угол. Мне нравится, как передана скорость времени, к примеру когда ты едешь на машине на заднем сидении и смотришь в окно, смотришь с как правильно передано ощущение что ты сидишь в машине, как мир за окном ощущается, в нем что то происходит, он живет, а не как это происходит в казуальной пластиковой GTA, где все оказуалено. В Cyberpunk 2077 плавно и с душой прописан сценарий, он не сокращен, он не обрывист, он детален! Картинка на экране просто не отпускает тебя, сколько всевозможных скиллов прокачки, нейромодулей одежды и т.п., ты чувствуешь себя там, ты персонализирован, такого как ты больше нет. Это одна из не многих игр где кнопочки взаимодействия никак не подсвечены какими то указателями и не ведут тебя за ручку как дурачка, здесь все по взрослому, а не как в большинстве современных играх считающих тебя тупым. Или как разработчики гонящиеся за трендом все упростить… Здесь не боятся ругаться матом, все по честному! Большинство разработчиков в угоду прибыли понижают возрастной рейтинг для охвата большей аудитории и зарубают мат в сценах, в которых без него просто происходит идиотизм и ломается реализм и погружение. CD Project Red, провели огромную работу, по масштабам не сопоставимым не одному проекту на данный момент, конечно будут технические проблемы на старте, вы посмотрите на масштаб происходящего, черт возьми! Поймите вы это! Пройдет время и все починят! Уверен, у этой игры отличное будущее с кучей дополнений! Люблю CD Project Red, не теряйте индивидуальность, и не идите на поводу ни у кого!… Expand

    Crashes all the **** time. Gameplay is really good but this was completely over hyped and false advertising.

    Nudity is like... What? I can't see my own dong cause of censorship. **** clothing options, like, literally I look like a hobo the whole time. So much potential for this game, not sure if y'all had the wrong ideas or if y'all got **** by Sonys censor stick.

    It is not that horrible as people are saying. Played on PS4 slim and it was totally playable and fun. Story could be better though and overall they could bring something new into the game.

    One of the worst games I’ve ever played. Even 6 months after release and a whopping 3 30GB each patches, the game is almost in the same state it was upon release. Small improvement s, but for each of those, they create a NEW issue. They even warn people now from playing it on PS4 & PS4S which they as heck didn’t in the beginning and even in their warning, it’s hidden in a Twitter thread.One of the worst games I’ve ever played.     Dwa podejścia na ps5 i obywa zakończone niepowodzeniem. Za pierwszym razem na premierę ilość błędów uniemożliwiała grę, a teraz po 3 poprawkach niestety ilość ekranów wczytywania i czas oczekiwania między filmikami po prologu zupełnie mnie zdemotywowała.

    I launched Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS4 Slim several weeks after the release and most of the bugs were fixed, so I was able to play the game from start to finish. However, the quality of textures was painfully low, I usually had only 20-22 frames per second while driving around the city (with dips below 20), and some objects tended to disappear. The technical state and graphics of the PS4 version are awful, which is a shame, because the game itself has one of the best stories I have ever encountered, its gunplay is really good, and Night City is very impressive.     Cyberpunk 2077 is a game brimming with potential, and it damn near reaches it on so many occasions, but the pitfalls of its development ultimately drag it down. There's still a lot to like here for RPG fans and lovers of the genre, but it's far from the generation-defining masterwork that the world was waiting for.
