My friends who have #PC or having far better experience than I am with the #PS4Pro. But the game was designed for last generation hardware. So there is no excuse why it seems so incomplete. And it's just one of those things that you have to wonder what happened within the eight and a half years of development?

    I can handle one single game breaking glitch if I can find a way to work around it. I can handle it crashing a few times but not this much. It's amusing when the car you're chasing disappears at first. It's amusing when the NPCs are not fighting back so you can kick their ass at first.

    I can handle bad frame rates, I played the #Nintendo64, I can handle abrupt small freezes before the game continues. I can even handle when the vocals from the NPCs disappears and you just have caption. It's not cool when your car flies into the air and ruins your car chase. It's not cool when you try to call an NPC and the game crashes. It's not cool whenyou hit a pole and your car goes flying and then it crashes the game. It's not cool when the company only shows one version of the game and doesn't show it on all hardware platforms how it looks and runs and doesn't let game publication outlets to show what the game looks like because of embargo. I consider that very poor business ethics. It's misleading the perception of the game itself versus what you will actually get when you purchase the game. That is not a good look. One thing I want to make perfectly clear is that I know there's a good game underneath all this chaotic glitchy mess. I'm enjoying the game but even I have a limit to my frustration and know when the developer focused on a particular platform such as PC and then neglects the other platforms that supposed to be work on. It is quite clear that they focused on high-end PCS and next generation consoles. Granted the game is not an next generation game but I runs better on next generation games because of backwards compatibility.if next generation consoles didn't have backs compatibility the outcry would be even worse. #CDProjektRed should have placed more resources on it's last generation consoles to make sure they were functional rather than focus on just the PC. I'm returning the game, even though I enjoy the game, I'm just not going to bother with it right now. I'll pick up the game probably in a year or two.    … Expand

    This is the first game I have ever reviewed on Metacritic. My first experience with pre-sale, and last...at least for CDPR. Absolutely not a playable game with graphics which is not better than Half-Life 2. Today I requested a full refund and even do not plan to buy this piece of **** in the future. Totally disrespect from CDPR was addressed to all peoples who were waiting hyped set of bugs

    The graphics is good
    The bugs are noticeable (nothing too bad for me tbh) Crashes are not frequent (they still need to fix it tho) The crowd density should be... Denser.     The main issue i have is not affecting other stories with some stuff that u do. Like maybe fixers getting angry when i kill many of their chooms
    And i never found myself in a restaurant.... Like theyre there i guess.... Buy food and nothing else
    And one upgrade would be customizing youra appearance (not just clothes) by cyber stuff
    Like chrome horns or something chrome skin ffs
    Overall good game needed more features and fix bugs and itd be perfect and in my honest opinion the main story is wayyyyyy too short    … Expand

    Don't expect to play or enjoy this game on current gen consoles. I also highly doubt that this game will ever be patched to where it is comparative to GTA, Witcher 3 or Saints Row. The focus was too much on next gen graphics than on the basics like AI, UI, gameplay and mechanics.    … Expand

    Genuinely one of the most fun single player games i've had the pleasure of playing in a long time. i find myself doing mostly side quests, just because i don't want the game to end any time soon. With every finished side quest, 2 or 3 more take its place. graphical glitches are minor and really not much to complain about. only 3 game crashes in 17 hours of playtime, and the problem wasGenuinely one of the most fun single player games i've had the pleasure of playing in a long time. i find myself doing mostly side quests, just because i don't want the game to end any time soon. With every finished side quest, 2 or 3 more take its place. graphical glitches are minor and really not much to complain about. only 3 game crashes in 17 hours of playtime, and the problem was fixed with a graphics driver update. When in the heat of battle, the health button is badly placed on PS4. Without paddles it would be quite frustrating having to change grip to allow me to use the joystick and heal at the same time. Issues like that and the many many obvious bugs that take very little time to reveal themselves point to lack of attention. Both the health button and the variety of unacceptable bugs are the type that give me the impression very little time was spent checking the playability of the game on PS4. If I only need to play for 20 minutes and can make a list of issues, how hard did they really try? Making a great game is only half of the job. Making it playable and smooth is the other, very vital part of the task at making a great game. It's very disappointing to say the least. If I hadn't gotten it for $25 (amazon gift card) I would definitely return it and wait for a sale. I obtained a physical copy the day it was released. As of Dec 18th, 1:20pm west coast, there has not been 1 single update on PS4. Frankly that makes me just as angry as the bugs themselves. There should have at least been 1 by now. I would recommend being patient and playing one or the other million games out there and wait for this stuff to be resolved.… Expand

Things pop in out of nowhere so often that it is distracting, and if you run into a new area, you may encounter people whose faces have not been rendered yet. In my playthrough, the game also crashed on me probably six or seven times. Aside from that, there are a whole host of other bugs--too many to mention them all.

    As far as the actual gameplay, I thought the driving was pretty rough, but other than that my only complaint is the enemy AI. The AI is straight up garbage right now. Aside from the bugs, this is the thing that needs fixing the most. I've played PS3 games with better AI.

    Onto the good things. If the bugs and AI were fixed though, this game could be close to a 10/10 on a system that can run it. I would have liked more customization and more dialogue options, but I honestly am okay with things as they are because I liked the story and the characters a lot more than I was expecting. The game also has an incredible sense of atmosphere; the city is beautiful when it isn't glitching out; and the music is awesome. The main story and character-driven side quests are well-crafted and keep you motivated, and the level design is pretty good.

    This game would have been the favorite for the 2021 game of the year if it were released in late 2021 instead of 2020--and only on next-gen consoles. Wait, and play the game how it was meant to be played.    … Expand

    Not only do the glitches and system crashing bugs make this game unplayable, the game itself just sucks. Nothing that is promised in any of the demos is in this game. It's not an RPG by any stretch. It's a movie that let's you control the shooting.

There is virtually no NPC AI and NPCs will despawn when you aren't looking at them, even if you just turn your head. The story was not engaging or original. In fact it was downright hard to follow at times, which lead to completing missions without fully knowing why you were doing them. Although, every mission was essentially the same anyways so it didn't matter in the end. Simply go to this place, shoot the bad people and either steal this thing or kill this person, rinse and repeat. I felt very little interest in continuing the story and kept hoping I would simply get past this boring section and get to something I would feel more invested in, but after just a few short missions later I was seeing the end credits. If this is meant to be a RPG, there are very few roleplaying elements, yes there is a character creator, but the options are limited and once you have created the character you can't even change their haircut in game. There is an illusion of choice with dialogue options but no matter which option you choose the end result is almost always the same. Even the choice at the beginning of which "lifepath" which is essentially just a single mission and a cut scene which leaves you to start the game at exactly the same place as the other lifepaths, with the occasional dialogue option in the future. The single redeeming quality in this game is the beautiful world that was created, which has nothing at all for you to do in it besides wander around taking selfies with your character, which is totally fine if that is how it had been marketed and presented, but promising a gamer a "next gen game" with an "immersive world" with "story changing character choices" is not only inaccurate, but in my view approaches on downright fraud to the consumer.

    The worst gaming experience I ever had. After so much hype it is a buggy mess. I had 4 crashes in around 2 hours. I have asked for a refund. I would not recommend this game.

    So really my rating is actually 8.5 because game didnt run the first 3 days. I have to turn off all advanced graphical settings and i had to wait for 1.04 hotpatch. And it still crashes every now and then. But overall it runs good and the content is amazing. No way this shoulda been taken off the playstation store when fallout 76 wasnt.     It works steadily. PS4 Slim. Ultra settings. 60 fps at 4k resolution. No bugs detected. I think the criticism is unfair.

Il gioco sembra davvero interessante e innovativo,    Semplicemente ingiocabile.

    Due ore di gameplay solo con qualche bug visivo divertente, beh sembrava una bella esperienza, una bella giornata, poi crasha due volte di fila e incominciano i problemi...

    8 anni di attesa per sviluppare un gioco alimentando piano piano le aspettative, soprattutto con una campagna di marketing impeccabile. Il gioco sembra davvero interessante e innovativo, cosa che in realtá non è. Tutte le features sono giá presenti in tantissimi altri giochi, l'ambientazione è innovativa e mozzafiato e i personaggi sono incredibilmente verosimili. La "libertá di scelta" per quanto possa essere libera, garantisce una personalizzazione soddisfacente, anche se cambia ben poco dal filo narrativo e le scelte che possono essere fatte in seguito. I veicoli sono immanoveabili, non frenano, sgommano sempre e si bloccano appena a contatto con qualsiasi entitá non distruttibile. Armi interessanti, belle da vedere. Comparto grafico orrendo per quanto riguarda la non ottimizzazione e gioco sviluppato davvero male, pieno zeppo di bug e non solo grafico come molti dicono. Crash continui, personaggi che scompaiono, armi invisibili e non utilizzabili, polizia che compare dal terreno, così come veicoli, oggetti non raccoglibili, immortalitá (con salute 0 si ottiene l'immortalitá), sono rimaste attive le scritte di hacking al centro dello schermo e sto continuando la storia avendo una parte deo schermo occupato, è impossibile elencare ogni singolo bug, semplicemente perché ogni riga di codice sembra generarne almeno uno. L'esperienza di gioco è rovinata da tutto ció, ripetere missioni 4 volti non rende il gioco "giocabile". Si puó passare sulle T pose dei personaggi, sul caricamento delle texture, ma su questo genere di bug assolutamente no.

The main story is compelling, and makes you want to play more, the side quests are meaningful and interesting and contain fun characters that I really enjoy. I've considered refunding the game, but I do want to finish the story and do more of the side quests, so I think I'll hold onto it. If you haven't yet purchased the game and are considering it, I would stay steer away from it for at least 3 months. Overall, this game let me and thousands of others down in the worst way. I know that CDPR was being very ambitious with this game, and that they might not be able to deliver on everything they mentioned, but I at least expected a comfortably playable game, they couldn't even deliver on that.… Expand

    I've given up trying to play this mess. This product is unplayable in this state. Resolutions dropping between 720 and 900 or lower, frame rates constantly drops whenever anything happens in the open environment to the teens and single digits, bad frame rate stutters and hiccups, what textures do load are pretty blurry and low rez. Of course the amount of bugs in this game even with theI've given up trying to play this mess. This product is unplayable in this state. Resolutions dropping between 720 and 900 or lower, frame rates constantly drops whenever anything happens in the open environment to the teens and single digits, bad frame rate stutters and hiccups, what textures do load are pretty blurry and low rez. Of course the amount of bugs in this game even with the two big patches already installed. In the end do not buy this product on base ps4. What's really surprising about this is that this game was literally in development for the whole life cycle of the ps4 and this was the best they could do.

    I really wanted to like and enjoy this game but I can't even play it without a technical issue getting in the way. With all the problems stated above I would've overlooked it all if they just had a consistent 30fps and at least 1080 or 920.     Apart from a few visual and non breaking bugs, the game is honestly great. The visuals, gameplay and immersion are all great and I've already managed to sink 60+ hours without even being halfway through the story. Definitely a game worth spending your time and money on!

    I'm fortunate enough to own a PS4pro and PS5 so I haven't experienced the games glitches as such, therefore my experience with this game is awesome. Its one of the best games I've played this year, only thing now is life gets in the way of any gaming marathons beyond 2hrs.....

To start this is the ps4 version on ps5 that im playing .. ive encountered quite a few bugs but nothing particularly game breaking BUT the constant crashes on ps5 is ridiculous it without fail crashes every few hours which is very disappointing .... i expected bugs but the crashes can annoy me ..NOW for the game itself hmm where to start ... the good ...night city and the badlands etc are amazing to see and play though sooo much stuff to do ( so many side quests ) etc its mind bending i really enjoy the game play weapons are great and its great to try different builds ..BUT sadly thats where the the good ends everything else is mediocre at best or bad ... where to start driving yeah its not bad car and bike physics can seem a little off ( but are we using gta as the benchmark ) factions lol what factions they meant absolutely nothing ! the police well they were nothing they either spawned from every where and destroyed you or your got in a car and lost them in 10 meters down the road ... it truly feels that simple fundamentals that gta 5 have got right have been poorly exacuted here or just left out on all together ..1. car customizing 2. saving a stolen car at the very least 3. character in game customizing doesnt exist at all ( diff if there a set character but with being able to make V you should be able to customize in game ) 4. with such a huge amount of loot with diff outfits to be made there should have been a way to make your fav outfit legendary though upgrading/ crafting even to the point that some of the guns while being the same have different colours which would match you outfit but sadly there common or greens its bad... now on the story ( some spoliers ) while all the characters were well voiced and portrayed johnny silverhand annoyed the hell out of me towards the end the im a voice in your head got so old and annoying it the end that i picked the which i now belive to be the best ending in the game ( i will get to that soon ) the storyline was great interesting and loveable side characters that helped and it was well written to a degree BUT some things felt un finished or halve arsed like one character just seemed to die of camera which was very stupid being as he was part of the big picture.... now for the ending of which ive personally played though 3 different endings and have seen on you tube all 7 the first one i choose was the blow my fn brains out purely because the game couldnt give me a clear answer for a happy ending its funny because there all fn grim its stupid ..there is truly no good ending in the game its ridiculous ... so i stand by my first choice of ending it as the best choice.. i do not expect not unlike life to have every ending a happy ending BUT i play games to feel like ive accomplished something for my character .. and in cyberpunk i dont it feels like a waste of effort at the end of the game what ever choice !! in conclusion i rate this as a poor 7 out of 10 its got some charms and some truly amazing parts but it feels like cd red just bit off far to much to make this a master piece ... i truly feel sorry for last gen console owners that are having so many issues i must admit though its ;like trying to play any game made in the last 2 years on a ps3 or 360 its not going to work as it should and cd red should have made the call next gen and pc only..MY suggestion is to wait on this game cd red will fix the bugs and sort this ive got faith in that and at some point a bit of give and take needs to be given as they got death threats for pushing back the release now getting burnt for bugs CANT HAVE BOTH !!!… Expand

    Eu tenho um ps4 slim e não tive muitos problemas com bugs (por incrível que pareça), eu dou um 9 pra história, 5 pra estabilidade (fps, crashes, etc) e 7 pra gameplay.
    Concluindo o jogo é bom, mas não é tão perfeito como gente acharia que fosse.

    My first review, and this game is a sample of everything wrong with industry. Worse release, deception and game performance ever. Cant play for more than 15 mins before a crash occurs. I hope i get my refund but regardless, never again will i trust a gaming company.

    I've requested a refund on the ps store, here's hoping I get refunded soon. What a buggy mess this is. Couldn't progress from about 2 hours in on multiple attempts and reloads from different save points. Saddest part is I can see a good game deep inside... I strongly suggest waiting until late next year and checking out more reviews when the patches come out. Do not pay £50 for this rubbish.

I still trust them and decided to support them more by buying the PC version as well on GOG.     I am playing on ps5 and I will say the game thus far is awesome. I can't speak to the quality of playing on the ps4, but I can't see how this would run well on my 2013 ps4. The game is fun, the city is awesome ... feels like megacity from Judge dredd. The game has crashed 3 times and a few clipping issues but other than that runs great on ps5.

The lifespan is more than good in a straight line and I think with all the side quests probably 100+ hours easy.     I'd give it one point because the bugs have been entertaining me all week, but then I remember the poor devs were crunched to **** and back for months for a game that is so unplayable that it's been pulled from the PS4 store.

    Heart goes out to the devs, and all the people that bought this on console just wanting to play a game they were looking forward to. I'd say I'd hope everyone's learned a valuable lesson about treating a game as a masterpiece before it comes out but fat chance of that happening.

    Without question, Cyberpunk 2077 was easily the most anticipated game of this year and despite 8 years of development, several delays, and eleventh hour crunch time, many gamers trusted that these issues would be a small price to pay and that, on the basis of CD Projekt Red's calibre as a game developer, would invariably prove to be worth the wait. Sadly, everyone who waited eagerly for the "next generation of open world games" (to quote the pre-release gameplay trailer) were proven impossibly wrong.

    For all intents and purposes, Cyberpunk 2077 (on console) is not the game we were promised by CDPR - it is by far the most divisive game launch in recent history. After the overwhelmingly successful launch of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (my review for which is seriously overdue), CDPR garnered a significant boost to their reputation and the confidence in their next game release became unshakeable. That is why their decision to launch a buggy, unfinished, unpolished game remains unfathomable and in one sweeping motion, CDPR have effectively eroded not only their reputation, but also the trust they have carefully built from the ground up with their established and potential fanbase.

    I remember getting the game on launch day, taking it home, then excitedly waiting for approximately half an hour while it loaded. Once it had finished installing, I could not believe that I was about to play something that I had patiently waited for for 2 years(!). The first hammer blow struck when I saw the character model in the pre-game character creator, but I thought that it was a minor hitch - not realising that it was a precursor of things to come. It was when I began exploring the auto-repair workshop (I chose the Nomad lifepath) that I realised that not everything was the way it should be - the graphics were worse than Fallout 4, a game that was released more than 5 years earlier. Not only that, but the technical performance was the worst I had ever experienced in a PS4 game - blurry, muddled textures, significant amounts of assets popping in or slowly appearing, a weird shadowing effect behind fast moving objects - most notably my car, and a long laundry list of other issues that I simply would have never expected from this game considering all the hype. And this was before I reached the city. Once I finished the prologue and reached the fabled Night City, Cyberpunk 2077 sank to new lows. For all the beauty that the promos had shown, my first experiences in Night City were all viewed through an ugly lens, making the game unbearable to look at and almost just as unbearable to play.

    This of course is a real shame because the funny thing is that Cyberpunk 2077 is actually a great game. Beneath the myriad plethora of issues there is a hint of what CDPR promised. Weirdly enough, I spent nearly 20 hours playing Cyberpunk 2077 and I (genuinely) had a relatively good time. But I cannot deny that the PS4 version of Cyberpunk 2077 is not the best way to experience this brilliant game.

    Much like 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 was a promise of great things to come, but was unfortunately subverted by circumstances that no-one could have anticipated. It is immeasurably disappointing that Cyberpunk 2077 (a.k.a. Cyberjunk 2077) is regarded as CD Projekt Red's fall from grace instead of being the studio's finest hour.

    The truth is, I didn't just want this game: I wanted to love this game. Unfortunately in it's current state, it would be very irresponsible of me to recommend this game, even though there's a small part of me that wants to continue playing it. It's that small part of me that can see Cyberpunk 2077's true potential and gives me hope that someday - hopefully soon - I'll be able to play it in all its glory and experience it the way it is meant to be experienced. I still have faith that CD Projekt Red can right this wrong and deliver what they promised. That way they can atone and be forgiven by their fans.

    To conclude this review, I'll say this: Much like 2021, the next gen console versions for Cyberpunk 2077 can't come soon enough.    … Expand

The game needs at least another year or more of development time. This is like 99% preparation for a large immersive game, and 1% of actually trying to get it to run. The open world is laborious and unplayable. Graphics and gameplay is below 720p and sometimes will never manage to load in textures and framerate persistently reaches as low as 15fps and can or will stay like that. The amount of bugs and glitches is completely messed up and it is without question the most horrendously bugged, glitched and poorly performing game ever released. General combat gameplay is a similar calibre to Outer Worlds, but sometimes feels like an old Halo game from 2000s. Shooting often bullet sponging enemies with tactically OP firearms and melee with underwhelming feedback and collision. QA testers around November time pointed to a still-unfinished game across all facets of it's content. I'm shocked at how much that isn't just tolerable things. But this 'crunch' that everyone knew about was more serious than what was ever told - they had to scrap the game as an RPG game and instead title it an Action-Adventure due to the vast number of things removed which no longer qualified it as an RPG. Non-extensively or to name a few, they removed large mechanics such as:

    All normal spider bot gameplay Removed skill trees (Techie etc) Whole wall running mechanic scrapped The subway system as fast travel system scrapped - replaced with a loading screen. Vehicle and home customisation scrapped Character customisation such as haircuts and augments cut
    Other storage options removed such as wardrobe, all done in inventory now

    The bugs etc are pervasive enough to ruin the experience and spoil it. The crashing is regular enough to frustrate players into switching off, then your character falling through the scenery nearly as frequently as the crashes which can happen several times in an hour of gameplay. Missions get stuck permanently (currently have two side missions and my main story permanently non-progressing), dialogue sticks and have to reset. NPCs and AI is diabolical and there is actually 'no AI' for several concepts in the game such as driving. One blatant example being the whole wanted level system where cops come for you. They don't actually come arriving to you — they just spawn right beside you in plain sight and start shooting. Then they simply vanish into thin air when you leave the scene. Textures and rendering never loading causing reset.. The game has so many severe problems that you'd never be done, but I'm legit horrified with how something like this can be hyped up and sold. Totally unacceptable for a game of 8 years in development. The memes are bull going on about people complaining about it's delays when it was in a state like this for at 8 years.     - The game often crashes and this for no exact reason 30 hours of playtime and about 22 crashes.
    - The game still has many character errors: non-loading characters, incorrectly loading characters with poor appearance and the genital looks through the clothing
    - objects loaded at a distance, such as cars, suddenly disappear
    - The phone often has problems such as not being able to answer a call, read text messages or make several calls at once in the same conversation
    - The movement is often blocked after quickly opening the map or the inventory
    - There are scenes in which a death can no longer be avoided due to an auto-save
    - There are different places where you fall through the world

    The story itself is good, even if it is a bit short, but the side quests and the map itself are really good. If the game gets better with the patches, the price is justified - currently not.

    I recommend playing the game on the PS5 or on a good PC where everything is much more fun.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game is wildly imaginative and ambitious with some minor bugs on my Base Ps4. Nothing gamebreaking however. Sure it's not got some of the features as sold but when honestly does any game. The game is far more entertaining than anything on the market and I'm sure it will get better with age and updates. Sure the npc's are terrible, but who plays a game for the npc's?! The guns are pic, the world is immersion the story is quality it's worth 50 eurodollars of anyone's money.… Expand

    CDPR from my favorite to crap. Not only this game is buggy as hell. It's a Deus EX bad game with an hollywood actor. They are even manipulating the console reviews. What a shame!

    What was that? Game does not look too good even if you exclude bugs, but with thousands bugs it's really unplayable. Only good thing is that game is so badly broken so they are offering full refund for that crap! Don't think anybody normal would buy this game ever again after this!

I'm playing it on my ps5 and it's relatively ok, but my brother in law bought this game for his PS4 in MediaMarkt (Spain) and he can't return it. CD Projekt said he could write their refund-help email, but he obviously has no response, because there are probably millions writing to that address.     It will be a decent game if we were in 2012...worst money spend this year... Big regret... And for my hype it was a disaster... Never ever I will buy again a game from this clowns... A very bad example in so many levels...was the first time I did a preorder and it will be the last.... I can't belive it happened

У игры огромный потенциал, у нее есть все задатки настоящего шедевра, интересный мир, хороший сюжет, атмосферна, выразительные персонажи.     I launched Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS4 Slim several weeks after the release and most of the bugs were fixed, so I was able to play the game from start to finish. However, the quality of textures was painfully low, I usually had only 20-22 frames per second while driving around the city (with dips below 20), and some objects tended to disappear. The technical state and graphics of the PS4 version are awful, which is a shame, because the game itself has one of the best stories I have ever encountered, its gunplay is really good, and Night City is very impressive.     Cyberpunk 2077 is a game brimming with potential, and it damn near reaches it on so many occasions, but the pitfalls of its development ultimately drag it down. There's still a lot to like here for RPG fans and lovers of the genre, but it's far from the generation-defining masterwork that the world was waiting for.
