    This is my first review for any PS4 game. I had no expectations regarding Cyberpunk 2077. Of course there are bugs, some are really frustrating but I like the game in general. Since I bought it I play each day at least for one hour. I didn't expect wonderful graphic as I play on 7 year old PS4! Come on people, do you really think that CDPR can do a magic on PS4 ?     Once CDPR releases further patches I will start to play the game again. Of course CDPR could do more, could once again postpone the release of the Cyberpunk 2077 or first to release it for PCs and for next gen consoles but they didn't... Of course it could be wrong but from the other hand you still can play it    … Expand

    In my opinion Cyberpunk 2077 on Ps 4 is not as bad as it looks. Of course, some bugs and glitches can be annoying but in 1.04 version a few of them had fixed. If you had 16 fps while driving a car you can easilly disable graphic options. It will help you a lot. I understand some of players can be mad about Ps 4 port but I think we must give him a chance.     This game is unplayable! Got the game on release on the PS4 and it is unplayable. Constant crashes, MPC out of place, jumping and no textures on them, quests are buggy and you can't complete them, frame rates are horrible and I just don't feel like playing it. At the time of writing 16/12/20, it is still unplayable and I think I might have to wait until February 2021 until it is playable.This game is unplayable!     Tout simplement un scandale, une belle arnaque !! Je n’aurais jamais pensé me la faire mettre comme ça par ce studio !! Sur ps4 pro le jeu est degeulasse ! C’est l’open world le plus laid que je fais sur cette Gen ! Même deus Ex sur ps3 était plus beau ! Quel foutage de gueule pour une optimisation aussi merdique !

    Horrible, hasta la NPC del Gta San Andres se encuentra más pulida, además, para PS4 fue una verdadera estafa, pero no sólo eso, el juego está roto, aunque lo juegues en un pc de uranio tiene fallos y una IA digna de juego de ps1.

    The game is just awful. Highly deceptive marketing at best; bald faced lies at worst. The game is no where near the game it made out to be prior to release. Numerous missing features and poor performance on consoles to bugs and glitches that render the game unplayable at times. Do not buy this game and be very wary of CDPR in future.

Я же наиграл часов 70 в эту игра на ps4 slim ,да пришлось потерпеть баги,вылеты,слабую графику , но это того явно стоило !Я не буду говорить про тех. состояние игры ,я хочу говорить про сюжет ,ибо он здесь шикарен и великолепен,я уверен игру допилят на ps4 и все по достоинству оценят данный шедевр.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game have a incredible storyline, good side quests, and well written characters.
    Game feels really "adult" . Violence, strong language, sex and many more.
    As for me, I really miss for games like this. I'm sick of "family friendly-like" games, were everything is soft, fluffy and almost innocent.

    Bugs, glitches? This is all FLEXIBLE with patches.

    So, after all this words, why not 10/10?
    Because, I have some issues. First for me, game feels like a little cut off content for some reason.
    And second, (that is my personal opinion) - it's will be grate to have a much more characters for romance.
    And more "realistic" relationship with your beloved one. Because, one cyber ronin already stole my heart =)

    It that means what need to be a little patient and wait a month or two for when the game will be fixed.    … Expand

    It doesn't deserve 0. Game is very good as it is, but has a lot of broken promises and stability issues. Can't recommend at this state, but when they fix the stability take it and enjoy.

    Gave it a 8 because 1 lots of bugs pretty sure they will fix that soon though and 2 not enough boobies need more boobies !!! They should add a barbershop so you can change your hair after you start. And a way to switch from naked to underwear under clothes. Over all I would say the game is fun to play and the story is interesting like the characters and the world is cool .fix the bugsGave it a 8 because 1 lots of bugs pretty sure they will fix that soon though and 2 not enough boobies need more boobies !!! The thing that makes this game atrocious on console (especially on PS4 and XBox One systems) is that the resolution is very low and the image is very blurry. The resolution being 720p isn't the worst thing ever.     Aside from graphics, the gameplay and non-main story quests are boring, clunky, and uninspired. Again, I could compare them to Fallout 3 and/or New Vegas. Those games felt interesting and, while the gunplay was nothing to write home about, it was serviceable. CP2077's gunplay is nigh infuriating at points. Aiming is pinpoint accurate which makes landing a shot with ranged weapons a chore rather than an enjoyable challenge. Melee combat is flat and stale as the combos are clunky and repetitive. This is especially true for hand to hand combat. Weapons are more tolerable, but unarmed combat is... painfully implemented.

    The game was clearly optimized for a PC with consoles being and afterthought, and that is being generous. The false advertising involving consoles and the deliberate blocking of console gameplay CD Projekt RED enforced upon reviewers before release are atrocious tactics that would be utilized by the corporations that CP2077's world rails so heavily against.    … Expand

    Bugs and the ethics of the videogame industry aside this game is fantastic. The voice acting, side missions, atmosphere, story and music are all amazing. This game was a huge undertaking and I think CDPR bit off more than they can chew with their ambitions on this title. Once I'm done with this playthrough I won't be playing it again on the PS4.     It's an amazing place with the character and atmosphere CDPR promised. Some of the side jobs are so well done I almost enjoyed them more than the main story line. I loved the banter between Johnny and V and having the random comments from Johnny. Along side this the choices actually felt like they meant something in this game. I would seriously feel bad if I pissed someone off. There were even a few time where the decisions were difficult to make. Some of them are on timers which go too fast. I love the music which is a big deal for me. The talk radio is fantastic. I love me some crafting too. I have a few issues with the menu but I'll get to that. I've come across many references to other games that the studio clearly appreciates. I spent a lot of time just walking around, listening in on conversations, reading store signs and lore. Bugs, glitches and texture popping tend to happen not nearly as much if you're walking around. The main story is not super long and that's okay. I felt if they had added more it wouldn't have just been filler. There's enough in the game to keep you occupied.

    My biggest gripe about the game is the menu. Which is my biggest gripe about most games. There's a lot of going back and forth and it lacks some conveniences. For example, if I have a bunch of items I want to deconstruct I don't want to hold triangle for a few second and do it repeatedly. Give me the option to select multiple items. I work in IT and it severely annoys me when I can't do multiple things at once.

    The game is not unplayable at all nor is it broken on PS4. Not once did I come across anything that impeded my progress in the game. There are occasional crashes (i just use that as an indicator I've been sitting on my butt for too long and need to take a break). I also went into the PS4 with low graphical expectations. It's a great game and just needs some more love. I could drone on for awhile about how CDPR broke promises and shattered childhood dreams and how getting a refund in protest will make no difference. There are enough bad reviews here based solely on bugs and video game industry shenanigans. I think I even read somewhere that someone said there no NPC's in the city. Did we play the same game? All this said though, I can't recommend this game on PS4. Even with patches and perfection Cyberpunk just wasn't meant to be played on the older consoles. BUT it is a good game and will be great once CDPR fixes all the things.

    TLDR: The game is great, the menu is a bit clunky, don't get it on XBOX One or PS4, be patient and wait a month or two for when the actual release date should have been and get it on PS5 or PC :P    … Expand

    In the very first day the graphics and performance on PS4 slim was much worse than after 1.04 patch and I consider it a very good job of gamedevs and I believe that they will go on with that.

    I even noticed that if i load the game, if I don't move in the first second there is no problems with graphics until I move some time through the city. It looks like there is some occupied memory problems or smth like this. The game CAN look great on PS4 slim, I'm sure, there is just some work to do with the game.

    What I liked about gameplay - it feels like some old school shooters like Duke Nukem 3D or Shadow Warrior that I liked very much, so I liked this gameplay too.

    What I else liked in the game - its atmosphere, characters, the storyline. Some technical problems don't spoil all these aspects of the game.    … Expand

    Runs great on the PS5. I have over 60 hours and enjoyed most of them all. It does crash about once an hour but overall I've enjoyed it.

    Despite some bugs , I only experienced a few on pc. I know that’s their are game breaking bugs on the ok’d console versions. Despite all that I want to say this game is amazing from the combat system to the engaging story with multiple paths and endings , a lot of work was put into this game with a lot of heart.     Yes it's unbelievable full of bug, I believe they will fix it so i just review the game and not the bug. Amazing storyline amazing gameplay and all secondary missions it's all different. Masterpiece.

    I enjoyed the game the story is good gameplay was good but it’s got so much bugs I’m on series x visual gilt he’s a lot and now I’m actually un able to finish the game I got a never ending load screen on a main mission so I can’t even finish it and I’m 25 hours in games a broken record!!!!

I played for about 45 hours completing the main storyline by first unlocking the most painful ending and then dedicating myself to the most beautiful ending and I have yet to get to watch and experience other endings of the game ... there is still a lot to do in Night City .. Graphically at first he had many difficulties on standard ps4 but after patch 1.04 many things have changed and many more will come out as promised by cd project red pr which there is really no complaining or even asking for a refund ... not understood the ignorance of the people who put out fake photos of how the game runs ... you just create a useless and boorish **** This will all be sorted out in February.
    Wonderful plot, infinite gameplay, unique soundtrack ... on the screen I will have 1000 dots of things to do ... but how can we complain ??? Well I don't understand ... a the last of us part 2 ... you know xke? you don't understand anything about video games    … Expand

Not that this is a defense for the bugs, just that it might be part of the reason why I've been more accepting of it. The biggest issues I've had with the game is that about an hour and a half to two into it it seems to hard crash. Thankfully the auto save in the game usually makes this much more bearable, and surprisingly the load times are crazy fast. I've never personally times them but in comparison to other open worlds it's about 1/3 the time of GTA V and 1/10 the time for RDR2. I could definitely see how this could put off consumers which is why I am mentioning it. All in all I really do enjoy the game, flaws and all. I really am enjoying the story and the pseudo control that it gives. If anything my biggest pet peve is that there isn't more of everything. Seriously I am really having fun playing and I imagine that as soon as I finish I will be creating another character and running through it all again.… Expand

    Yes, it has many technical problems (my game crashed 15 times within 10 hours) but ignoring them, the game is a masterpiece. The city is fantastic, the characters are fantastic and the story is fantastic.

    Buggiest game I've played in a while, and it literally looks like an Atari game. I refunded it within 2 hours, definitely wasn't even close to ready to be launched when it was.

    this game is completely broken, there's no way this could have been released to console, I spent one hour playing and I found 5 diferent bugs 3 of them couldnt let me pass history. Never expected something like this from CD Projekt red. They will never have my support on new releases.

Buy it on PC, DO NOT BUY ON PS4/PS5, despite CD Projekt Red saying they will allow refunds, sony is saying that a broken game that is unplayable and crashes is not eligible for a refund because it is not "faulty"... The game is great, however this should have been pushed back another couple of months. The fact that Sony will not refund either is horseshttt, the game is obviously broken. Disputes my charge to even see my money back. Will be buying a PC and not a PS5, they lost all my business with their greedy policies after being a customer for 10+ years… Expand

Not sure if its a game thing or a PS5 thing the crashes since it also happens with PS5 games like Planet Coaster. Overall more then pleased with the game and can't wait how the real upgrade for the PS5 looks like.

I haven't tried melee combat yet, but it seems like that would require an even bigger investment to make that viable in combat.

    Overall, this game was just rushed out and the lack of polish shows up in every aspect of the game. The narrative might be the only exception here. If it weren't for the bugs,crashes, and developer deception, this would be an 8/10 game for me.    … Expand

    Dunno what everyone is pissed about, its a great game so far, yea it has a few bugs but so what ?? All good games still have room for improvement, cyberpunk is no exception. I am enjoying my time playing and think that the game and concepts, depth are all fantastic.

    The storyline is pretty interesting, I got emotionally connected with some characters and completely hated others, or gave some sort of respect to them because of who they are in the game. I felt pretty immersed.

    Gameplay is alright, not groundbreaking or revolutionary, but it's still alright.

    The city is beautiful. I love the graffiti, the slums, the expensive buildings for the rich people. It is honestly beautiful.

    Negatives:

    It seems like cybernetic augmentations don't do much to change gameplay. I wish that they had a more prominent impact on gameplay and decisions in-game.

    The perks aren't too interesting either- they seem mediocre at best.

    The control scheme isn't too shabby when you're not in the menus. Pressing circle to skip dialogue and also having to press circle to crouch/dodge was not a good idea. For example, I was on a phone call and some bad guys shown up. I like to bob and weave and crouch and strike so I had a 10 second phone call that was supposed to last minutes at least.

    In the inventory screen or shop screens, things can get pretty laggy. You can't mass-sell items from your inventory, you must select them one at a time. When you sell an item, it seems like the inventories (both yours and the shop-keeps) literally refresh/rerender. It's honestly not a good inventory or trading system IMO.

    As for NPCs, there are very little of them spread across the city. They aren't next gen, either. Night City is supposed to be this huge, densely populated city and it does not seem that way at all. I can drive on the highway, through the streets and see maybe 8 or 9 cars on a 3 kilometer drive.

    The police NPCs seem to be the worst. You stand next to them for 3 seconds and they'll shoot you for looking at them wrong. They don't patrol the city, they don't have an acceptable wanted system. They're like the Institute (from FO4), waiting for you to commit a heinous act before TELEPORTING right behind you. You run just a little distance away and all of a sudden, it's too far for them to search/look for you and bam, you're off the hook.

    The looting mechanic seems off to me. IMO, I think it's too much. The looting mechanic and inventory systems don't work together well. Disassembling, selling or equipping items can lead to a crash, or a laggy screen.

    Also you can't seem to customize your character anymore after the initial character creation. No barbers, tattoo shops, plastic surgeons. it might be a small gripe, but I just wish that these were in the game.

    There are plenty of bugs/glitches that happen during gameplay. Sometimes during story missions, sometimes not. I've had random crashing throughout my gameplay. It must've crashed 5 or 6 times while just doing the main missions.

    The next particular couple of sentences don't have to do anything with the game itself and does not affect the review score: I wish that I could've seen and read honest reviews for the "previous gen" consoles before securing my game. I'm not happy with the current state that this game has the gaming community in, and I feel like on some level, CDPR has betrayed what trust we, the community, has given them.

    I'm not sure if there is anything else to say. I can actually see the progress being made by the dev team, so I have hope for this game. I hope they pull a No Man's Sky, this game definitely needs a turn around. I'd love to play again in the next year or two, but for now, I think i'll take a break.    … Expand

    On ps5 Im having a lot of problems with this game. So far my ps5 crashed 32 times. Cars and people disappearing and appearing out of nowhere. I've had graphic errors the screen. The AI is horrible.CD Projekt Red lied to their counsel customer base about the game being ready.

    Am playing on PS4 pro, am about 20 hours in. Had to restart the system twice. But guys this game is awesome - the setting, the plot, the mechanics... everything meets the very high hyped up expectations. Don’t believe the review bombs.

While it plays/looks a lot better than it does on the last-gen machines, I literally can't go more than 15-20 minutes without seeing some distracting bug/glitch in front of me or in the distance. In the past few days the game has crashed to the home screen at least 6 separate times.I just can't do it anymore. I play this game on PS5. I've played about 20 hours - mostly side missions. While it plays/looks a lot better than it does on the last-gen machines, I literally can't go more than 15-20 minutes without seeing some distracting bug/glitch in front of me or in the distance. In the past few days the game has crashed to the home screen at least 6 separate times. Once, I tried to play the game and got an error that my console couldn't start it for some reason. Had to delete it off the PS5 and reinstall it to fix that issue.

    Through all of this, I persisted to play through the game, because despite the endless parade of bugs, and glitches, at least it ran stable enough to enjoy it on the PS5. But for some reason, today when I started playing, I was driving around the city and I noticed muddy textures on the streets, buildings, etc. It was taking a few seconds for objects to fully load into the world. If I drove too fast, I'd fall through the street because it hadn't yet loaded.

    Then, I tried getting through one of the racing side jobs and kept going the wrong way because the waypoint arrows weren't loading on the track fast enough for my vehicle. I got so frustrated I shut the game down and said F this!

    I actually love the game, but I refuse to force myself through this marred experience any further. It's like watching a blurry cam bootleg of a movie you were dying to see - sure, you get to find out how the story plays out, but it's a garbled mess. I've decided to put this game on hiatus until they fix the problems on the PS4 version. I might even wait until they release the PS5 version proper.    … Expand

Tried multiple times to talk to who I needed to but a pushy npc was stopping me. Had to reload the game and it brought me back to at least 20 minutes before the boss.     The menu with your inventory is so bad. Also the progression is bad. All the perks are in their own sub category so it takes forever to try to find where you want to apply perk points.    … Expand

    When I first played Witcher 3, after a year of it's release, I was astonished. The game was absolutely amazing. Hands down in my top 5. I also was familiar with the Cyberpunk universe and a huge fan, having GMed Cyberpunk 2020 in the '90s. Needles to say, my expectations were high. Then I finally got CP2077... What a let down... Don't get me wrong, everything is there - story and lorewise,When I first played Witcher 3, after a year of it's release, I was astonished. The game was absolutely amazing. Hands down in my top 5.     There are existing technical issues that will be sorted in the near future. Otherwise, this is phenomenal rpg that is well written and engaging. The main reason I got frustrated with the few crashes was I couldn't wait to jump back in.

Otherwise, this is phenomenal rpg that is well written and engaging. The main reason I got frustrated with the few crashes was I couldn't wait to jump back in.

I am not sure how bad this is for others since I have experienced similar issues to a similar extent with so many other games... I assume that many upcoming next-gen consoles with old-gen counterparts are going to have the same issues and CDPR is bearing the brunt of this inevitable reality.
    Either way, Kudos to CDPR for stepping up, taking responsibility, and promising substantial changes to make the game perform as best as possible for all systems.    … Expand

    This game is RUSTY not BROKEN. The glitches and bug can be ignored once you really get into the action of the game. And if your a true cyberpunk fan you will enjoy it.

    I launched Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS4 Slim several weeks after the release and most of the bugs were fixed, so I was able to play the game from start to finish. However, the quality of textures was painfully low, I usually had only 20-22 frames per second while driving around the city (with dips below 20), and some objects tended to disappear. The technical state and graphics of the PS4 version are awful, which is a shame, because the game itself has one of the best stories I have ever encountered, its gunplay is really good, and Night City is very impressive.     Cyberpunk 2077 is a game brimming with potential, and it damn near reaches it on so many occasions, but the pitfalls of its development ultimately drag it down. There's still a lot to like here for RPG fans and lovers of the genre, but it's far from the generation-defining masterwork that the world was waiting for.
