    Seriously, after 8 years of development, there’s no excuse for releasing such rubbish! Truth be told, the development team wasn’t bothered (lazy) or didn’t put enough effort into making this game work on consoles, but instead chose to work on the PC version and deceive customers by not allowing reviewers to try the console version. It’s Mickey Mouse companies like these that make meSeriously, after 8 years of development, there’s no excuse for releasing such rubbish!     A review of a person that have only played max 4 hours.

    I don't like giving review of a game I haven't finished, or at least played a good chunk of the game, but I still thinks people should know, and deserves to know about the problems this game has, I was playing on a PS4 Pro. (my condolences goes out to my base Ps4 gamers brothers and sisters) - The graphic is below avage even for    A review of a person that have only played max 4 hours.

    - The graphic is below avage even for a ps4 game.
    - I could barely hit 20 fps most times.
    - Alot of things that need to be in the game, is just not there, like barber shop, a better crafting system, and a mini map that you can use when you are driving, or even a AI.

    The story for the few hours I have seen looks promising, but I can't say if I hate it or like it yet.

    I will wait to play this game, to when I get my hands on a Ps5 with a stable 60 fps, and hopefully by then alot of bugs fixes, and performance fixes have been made.

    The reason I give it a 2 and not a 0 or 1 is that I see potential in the game, just not in the state it is in now.

    It's my subjective opinion but I really enjoy this game, even when I get crash to the console menu. Even now, after many hours of gameplay - I still think about returning to Night City :)

    Absolutely unplayable on ps4 pro. Full of bugs and glitches. It looks like a ps3 game. But the worst thing is that it is poorly made, there is no way to fix it. Dead boring city, lack of intelligence in the population, terrible motion animations. Cars change if you look away. Cops come out of nowhere. Nightmare walking, you just move the camera.     This game made me so sad, I can't refund it and now I have an unplayable game that I payed full price. And CD Projekt Red is silent about it, they know it and say nothing. Such a shame that one of the best companies in the videogame industry turned out to be the same one that gave me the worst experience I had as a gamer and customer in my whole life.

    This is a joke, the game is almost unplayable. It looks like PS3 graphic, and alot of bugs. I have never seen a game broken like this before. And i have played games for 30 years. Stay far away from this garbage.

    Just dont buy the game for PS4, waste of money. Bugs, a lot of blue screen, bugy quests and the major one quest, sometimes this game looks like gta 3. On ps 4 this game should cost 10$ no more.

    Biggest disappointment in years of video games, PS3 graphics, terrible performance. I bought the game in 2019, in pre-order. Will I have to wait another 2 months to play the game in an acceptable way?

    The game is unfinished. It needs at least 6 months more of developement. Let's wait and see if CD Projekt dilivers the patches that promises fixing the game.

    A mi me gusta el juego, lo que no es normal es que la gente ponga 0 al cyberpunk por sus errores cuando assasing creed tiene muchos bug, como otros juegos y los puntuen como al vallhalla con 7 y a este lo esten enterrando con 3 antes siquiera de salir

    Do not buy this game is horrible. The story is dragged out a bit, and side quests are pretty good. However, this game crashed 46 times in my playthrough! There are so many technical issues. I also played on PC which is not much better. If you have the option to play on PC, play on PC, however, this game is mediocre even without the game-breaking bugs.

    Eu tenho para ps4 o cyberpunk, uma desilusão. Imensos bugs, gráficos a cair drasticamente. Sou de Portugal, nem legendas em PT/BR têm. Um jogo com tantos diálogos e opções de resposta.. Desilusão completa.

    I had no problems with the game on my PS4 Slim. No bugs that spoiled the story or something. I'm playing after patch 1.04, and my experience has been very satisfying.

    Não tive problemas com o jogo no meu PS4 Slim. Nenhum bug que estragasse a história ou algo parecido. Estou jogando depois do patch 1.04, e minha experiência está sendo bem satisfatória.

Despite all the hype that CD Projekt Red was driving with marketing, I tried to keep my expectations low, I knew some people would be disappointed, but I saw this group as people who don't quite understand that this is an RPG and I was making fun of them a bit. The joke's on me. I can get over the bad graphics but would like something in return.The plot is really addictive, but that's it. Despite all the hype that CD Projekt Red was driving with marketing, I tried to keep my expectations low, I knew some people would be disappointed, but I saw this group as people who don't quite understand that this is an RPG and I was making fun of them a bit. The joke's on me. I can get over the bad graphics but would like something in return. I get tons of bugs, non-loading textures, cars and pedestrians appearing out of nowhere, a world that is supposed to be open, but still everything is closed in it. Receiving calls, changing the camera mode in the vehicle, works randomly. And AI? Mother of God. The police chases are a joke (I don't know if anyone ever chased me). Car drivers? Stand a few centimeters on their track, they will stop and die of old age in their cars sooner than they will go around you. Behavior of NPCs? Tragic, hit one, all the rest within a dozen or so meters will crouch as one. Since everything is so poor, the world is so empty, what then makes the game perform so bad? This game broke me. I used to shut up all haters when they complained about the game before the premiere, but then I got my copy and I'm just sad. I kept hearing about immersion. How am I supposed to delve into this world when I am constantly torn from it with technical problems? The moment that was supposed to get me dragged into the plot was interrupted for me by a lot of loading screens, longer than individual sequences of a game, as a result I remember browsing the news on my smartphone, not the game. After many attempts, I put the game back on the shelf, I will not return it because I went through hell to get the game from Polish distribution in the country where I currently live on the day of its premiere and the fun of sending it back to Poland is not worth it. I just feel cheated and wish I hadn't spent my hard earned money on a product that is not finished, and even after fixes it probably won't be what it was meant to be. I could forgive that the game is not a breakthrough, that the mechanics are poorer than in much older games, if only the game worked as it was supposed to, today, on the wave of irritation, more and more disappointments are found. I don't get any explanations that the game works better on stronger platforms, I bought the game on one of the platforms offered by the developer and paid for it with real money, no excuses.… Expand

    The best thing about the game is writing. All characters are really different, dialogs are great, you do feel your decisions are making an impact (although still need to see how much - btw, in Witcher 3 there were only 5 or 6 decisions that actually affected storyline ending). Now I'm in position where I have 3 different main quests and by the look of things they all move the story to completely different directions, I'm super excited to explore them all.

    Another great thing is the city and the way how activities are laid out. You go to a side street and there is usually a new adventure and some reward waiting to be found - the game does reward exploration nicely. It's not about running around from one generic activity to another - all missions are pretty different and have good justification.

    Skills system also looks promising so far. With every attribute point I have to really think what to invest in, since all of them have their rewards. The system clearly supports a number of different builds allowing for completely different play styles. I went for a stealthy/hacking approach and I can see how perks selection is allowing me to do exactly what I want. Hacking is fun - like if you see a pair of enemies, you can deafen one via hacking and shot another without the first one noticing. I play on hard difficulty and all these skills actually matter - you can't just run around with a gun shooting enemies (at least, not with my Body attribute). I've read some complains about poor AI and haven't noticed much of that - they take cover, throw grenades, heal themselves and try to flank you just fine.

    What I don't enjoy as much is user interface. I feel they tried to make something that would work both with a mouse and with a gamepad and succeeded in neither. They could have used gamepad triggers/sticks for better access to filtering / sorting (or even grouping!). You get flooded in similarly-looking items, disassembling process is painful, modification UI is cumbersome. Hack options are just presented as a flat list and sometimes it's just not possible to pick up a particular item in the world. Also UI doesn't tell you everything - like, when abilities trigger (there are randomly triggered abilities which I hate) or how much of something you've picked up or gained. Or even what different hacking icons mean, or what level an item has. This is an RPG after all - a high level T-shirt can give a better armour than a low-level military vest.. Same with enemies - you wander into a wrong district and quickly realise that same enemies now kill you with a bullet or two, while your headshots are just a scratch for them, and there is no visual clue for that (maybe there'll be an implant for that later though).

    Craft feels a bit underwhelming so far - there is very little difference between common/uncommon weapons and their rare/epic equivalents, so far power bonus doesn't seem to be worth the hassle, hopefully the game will prove me wrong. The good thing though is that you can actually profit from craft, though the process feels like an in-game job (as it probably should)

    Driving is hilarious (in a bad way), collisions physics is super off and handling feels terrible. The first car is just impossible to drive, but actually there are better cars out there. I like how different cars feel differently on the road and after investing into a good ride I can finally reach my destination without crashing into every single obstacle on my way to it.

    Police's behaviour is somewhat concerning so far. They don't care about you as long as you're not killing other people - apparently there is no penalty for hijacking a car and you can crash into others all day long. Even when they do, they lose interest as soon as you turn around a corner. Also there is no concept of theft - you just come into people's houses and take everything you want, which kind of breaks the immersion a bit for me.

    It also feels like some parts of the game had been cut last moment - like there are crime scenes that are surely meant to be investigated with the Braindance interface (which is awesome), but I wasn't able to unlock these and haven't found any evidence they work yet.

    The game certainly looks raw, but despite issues it's a legitimately deep, engaging and enjoyable single player experience (without in-game store, microtransactions, daily events and activities designed to slow you down). I know community is furious about performance on base PS4, I haven't seen it myself but on Pro it runs ok. I just hope they'll be able to fix issues and get them out of this mess - the game itself is actually pretty good and does definitely deserve attention.    … Expand

I've experienced 7 game crashes, plenty major visual bugs out of which only one sort-of game braking. Another dozen of minor visual bugs like tips message box remaining on screen even after a game restart, certain clothing clipping and obscuring my field of view, bad textures that never pop. I've never experienced any T-poses or any of those infamous horrifying NPCs that look like they're on ps1. Mostly my experience so far was ok and I don't really relate with all those problems other people are having. On a technical aspect I am satisfied with the number of cars and NPCs. even if they do repeat the models.

    The resolution for me was a surprise to say the least. 720p ~ 900p..?? but after I spend some more time I realized that this might have been a compromise for the graphics. I am very pleased with what CDPR pulled off with the visual aspect of the game, it is a beautiful game that showcases one last time what this last generation is capable of. And I am ok with a visual effects compromising resolution!

    -Game Design
    It's just a video game.
    My early expectations of the game might have been too high but as the game approached release I started chiseling those expectations by comparing them with what is found in The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. I expected Cyberpunk 2077 to be a revolution regarding open-world games, a topic that for me Witcher 3 didn't check either. The world is incredibly immersive and the cyberpunk atmosphere and aesthetic is all there but I expected Cyberpunk to be more of a Bethesda game than a Witcher game which is unfair. This comparison is due to the fact that the civilian NPCs are basically random and feel like a staging not like a simulation, they feel like cutout cardboard people in a theatre play instead of actors. This is effect is due to the fact that the same NPC model is present in the same scene more than once and in some rare instances more than that. I found that the interaction with these random civilian NPCs is very shallow, they have only one or two brief uninteresting and often hostile lines of monologue. I honestly anticipated CDPR to treat these NPCs this way because I knew how they designed their games and it's ok.

    I love the call/messaging system that reminds me of GTA 4 and 5. I feel like this is mandatory in any story driven open world in a modern city setting. I think they also nailed the economy system.

    The choice and consequence system is great but it isn't a big improvement from what we saw with Witcher 3 doesn't really live up to the scale and branching I expected.

    I also expected a great story, side quests and characters. And I am happy to say that I am more than pleased with this aspect than expected. The writing is great and I would advise to read all those notes, little stories and desktop emails you find scattered all over the world because it gives more context and depth to the world and some minor NPCs. My only critique story wise is how V is pretty much very scripted if that makes sense. But then again that is a design choice and might help cohesiveness.

    I really expected more from them on the RPG mechanics side, they feel shallow sometimes. And I would've liked the attribute system to be more meaningful. It's not bad by any means but I am personally not satisfied, maybe it'll grow on me.

    Aside form all the bugs and performance issues, I really love this game for everything it is, the setting, the stories, the characters and despite of a lot more missed opportunities that I didn't mention. No game is perfect, there always has to be a compromise somewhere.

    Yes, there are still some glitches and funny acting NPCs, but with patch 1.04 the games is really playable and looking good on the PS Pro.
    I'm really flashed by the atmosphere and story.

    My favorite game of 2020 with Ghost of Tsushima.

    In 2012 cyberpunk was announced before the PS4 was even available for purchase in November 2013. Therefore, the argument does not work, it has only been programmed for Nextgen consoles.

    It's a disaster and, after 8 years of waiting, a disappointment. Yes it is a scam and I want my money back rightly. So far I have not received any feedback.

    Every single thing you do in the game is 'go here and shoot this' when they promised a hugely immersive world with tons to do. A world where you could build your rep and such. At first I enjoyed myself doing some side jobs before starting the first big mission to grab the Relic. Well, as soon as I got the Relic all sorts of nonsense started to happen. Glitches and crashes seemed to happen more but I was also suddenly flooded with 20-30 jobs. People you haven't even met yet call and text you out of nowhere offering missions or cars for sale. I literally walked around for 30 mins getting flooded with nonsense! Let's talk about that Delamain quest where you have to retrieve his lost vehicles. Why in god's name is this not ONE quest with 8 objectives? Instead CDPR made it into 9 separate quests!? It's as if nobody at CDPR ever played any other RPG in their life and is a perfect example of all the missed opportunities they had to really make this game work.

    На ps4 pro вполне неплохо. Учитывая что это уже старое поколение. Конечно есть мелкие шероховатости но это не отменяет проработанности игры. I don't intend to play this game on PC either because I don't have an RTX 3080, which seems to be the bare minimum recommended GPU actually rather than a GTX 780.

    CDPR openly admit they launched a botched game and actively tried to deceive fans by not showing any real console footage in advance, instead focusing on showcasing the maxed out experience of the PC version in order to "wow" the audience and secure more pre-orders. In other words, they admit they scammed people as much as possible. Due to the growing backlash and PR disaster they offer refunds but also ask people to not refund the game too much as if they were a small indie studio lacking money such as Hello Games (they launched a similarly botched game with No Man's Sky back in 2016, but cash-strapped as they were they kept working on it and have released several patches and DLCs for free to this day, they deserve to be recognised for their effort to repair their game and heal their tarnished reputation). Pure hypocrisy by CDPR.

    If such a fan-favorite company like CDPR pulls this scam, then what should we expect from companies with questionable ethics such as EA, Activision, Take Two and Ubisoft?

Seems as this game had no QA at all. AI is so much ultimately stupid so I could really imagine it's more like one if/else statement than AI. Just horrible waste of money.

With Cyberpunk 2077, developer CD Projekt Red shows it is possible to create a massive sandbox adventure that’s just as impressive and tailored as the very best linear action games. As a narrative experience, 2077 is undoubtedly one of the most immersive and engrossing video games to date, besting titles with far less complexity and certainly fewer script pages. Throughout Cyberpunk’s 50+ hour package, it’s impressive how little filler there is. Even 2077’s “side” content is arguably as strong as its main story, with each mission offering a memorable detour through the futuristic cityscape. The game’s spectacular campaign missions – played entirely in first-person view – offer an engrossing thrill ride through a sci-fi story with compelling themes and likeable characters, which even by themselves could contend for game of the year.     These bugs and faults have not destroyed my experience and this game does not deserve to be review bombed I appreciate that if you have a PS4 base version it’s frustrating but all the people who issued death threats to the development team when they delayed it are the same people today screaming they should of waited longer the game is a masterpiece and it will get patched and it will get better. You need to invest into a game and it’s team and have faith that they will pull through and they will give them time people seem to be screaming with anger and demanding they refund everyone but this is just not fair. This game is a masterpiece and I can only speak for myself with my own experience but I have had bugs and I have had crashes. It I’m also not one to dwell on it so it takes 25 seconds to load back j to my game in PS5 and then I’m away in an immersive beautiful world the gun play is solid and the overall mechanics are amazing and unique this is a must buy game if you give it some more time it will be pure perfection.     Но она безумно интересна и красива, в те редкие моменты, когда всё работает исправно.

    Geeez, this game is very addictive. The world is the most beautiful open, wild, and crazy thing that I have ever seen in my gaming life. Yeah maybe bugs can sometimes screw up good gameplay, but the storyline just with amazing perfection justifies those bugs completely. I’m really happy to get this game on pc and also on PS4 in slim version even if it is completely neglected version, IGeeez, this game is very addictive.     Game is working in 720p, 15 FPS. Screen is blury and covered in grain even when you turn off this option. That game is a joke even low budget games from ps3 era look better than this. Management made fun from us all and sold a game that should never be available for old gens if it works so bad.     This game was absolutely NOTHING like what the advertisements were for this game. It's slow paced and plays a lot like a telltale game with RPG parts. The gun play is clunky and there is not much of it. This is NOT an action packed game like the ads were saying. We were lied to. Big time. The dialogue is childish and obsessed with sex and sexuality. Don't get me wrong sex is great but come on there is so much more to people than that. The graphics are nothing impressive just typical. The world that was created in Night City reminds me of what writers wrote about the future being from a 1980s perspective. Smoking, swearing, raw sexuality, tattoos and crassness with a very dated look from clothing choices, hair, script and the world that they're in. I'm very disappointed. As far as glitches and whatever. Encountered many. The game crashed 9 times while I played, vehicles hovering when they're not supposed to be. Command buttons not doing anything. Main mission people missing etc. I'm sure much of this will be fixed. I'm more concerned with the shallow, paper thin world and gameplay and childish unwitty script that took 8 years to develop and write? What??     Technical performance is worthy of improvement, visual glitches and minor gameplay bugs need to be adressed. But beside of that Cyberpunk is one of the best games ever. Fantastic world, brilliant story and interesting characters!

    I launched Cyberpunk 2077 on my PS4 Slim several weeks after the release and most of the bugs were fixed, so I was able to play the game from start to finish. However, the quality of textures was painfully low, I usually had only 20-22 frames per second while driving around the city (with dips below 20), and some objects tended to disappear. The technical state and graphics of the PS4 version are awful, which is a shame, because the game itself has one of the best stories I have ever encountered, its gunplay is really good, and Night City is very impressive.     Cyberpunk 2077 is a game brimming with potential, and it damn near reaches it on so many occasions, but the pitfalls of its development ultimately drag it down. There's still a lot to like here for RPG fans and lovers of the genre, but it's far from the generation-defining masterwork that the world was waiting for.
