Any Creature should Try this game! Ignore all those negative Reviews & Scores.
We believe -CoD Fans- that most of the negative reviews, were done by those BF Fans.
OR People who "loved" the Characters will never see them again. This is STUPIDITY. It is not a sequel to "Call of Duty" Generally, but to "Modern Warfare" series.. The graphics are GREAT.. But BattleFAILED's new Engine -Frostbite 2- made it a bad Graphically game?
Robert Bowling said this "We have no time to create a new engine to fit the game.. so we have to work on the previous one" We will be insane people if we compared MW3's -or any Modern Warfare's"- campaign to BF3 -or any BF-... Self-evident MW win.. but we can stil compare the "Graphics" which make Battlefailed 3 "a good" game.
We can compare their Multiplaye Mod as well.. they both have excellent multiplayer.. BUT.. there's no Spec OPS in BF3.. so Battlefailed "3" beats MW3 because of the Graphics.. That's **** !!!!
**** strongly Recommends this game to any creature in the whole wide world to play this game.

Without spoiling the campaign for those who have not played, this game finishes the story as depicted in MW2. I've played every Call of Duty game since it was created to compete with Medal of Honor in the WWII days. Not many people remember those days as most gamers who play these games are technically too young to play them. The score on this website is being abused. This game is solid and the franchise is successful for a reason. FPS in general are very hard to "innovate" so everyone quit your whining. They're all very similar! Expand

I have been playing all morning, and all I can say the single player makes you feel like a total bad ass and it takes no prisoners doing so. The visuals, sound, and ammount of content is epic. Spec Ops, is the best part of the game but will be probably the least played of the bunch. If you got a buddy to play with this is really a challange, and will put your skills to the test if you are willing to get a 100% in them Multiplayer has grown up a lot, and while not on the same size scale as BF3 it offers a different flavor of it. I am not very good at COD MP, but with the support class I given slack for sucking, but rewarded for supporting. That single featuer alone is sensational. I am very please with it, and the fact that you can custom tailor the guns to your liking is awsome. COD:MW3 is worth your money, and I really have no clue why all the negative reivews. I own both BF3 and MW3, and I can not say that I like one more over the other, but I can say that I play as of right now MW3 more because it is refined, no cashing, freezing, or funky glitches in the game.â Expand

As far as multiplayer is concerned, it does what the previous games do, with minor tweaks. I really like the new kill confirmed mode, which has less campers since people have to run out and collect dog tags. Overall, if you like the series so far, you will like this game. Call of duty continues to be the fun addicting experience that people love. It runs smoothly and has excitement throughout. Spec ops is a welcome addition and the ability to play splitscreen is much appreciated in a generation where very few developers consider the people who play with those that they know, not just random people around the world.

First of all I can safely say that MW3 is not a game worthy of the current User critic score of 2/10. I mean really? In all seriousness there is simply no way that the game deserves a pathetic score like that and whilst people are entitled to their opinions it's laughable to suggest MW3 is a terrible game because it's far from it! Now that's over, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Or Call of Duty MW2 Part 2 to the haters. It was a given that this outing would pick up from the events of it's predecessor and it does exactly that with Nikolai flying the injured Soap and Captain Price to safety however that's short-lived because when chief antagonist Anatoliy Makarov resurfaces and with the world seemingly at war it doesn't take long for the twosome to get back in action. In all honesty the single player campaign is a continuation of MW2, so yes, it carries on the farfetched story but all the while entertaining you nonetheless. In terms of game play nothing major to report the shooting system has always worked and is arguably the best around when it comes to the FPS genre one of which leads to the demise of one of the MW franchise's most iconic characters however for me personally it didn't have the impact it should have especially giving how important a character this unfortunate individual was throughout the trilogy. Unfortunately the people at Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer haven't addressed the length of the solo campaign which again comes in at the 6-7 mark and even more so they have failed to fix the ridiculous AI of enemies as they can amazingly waltz by your team-mates just to pop a round in your head! I was disappointed actually by the lack of new innovations in the game as i'd like to see CoD continue to move forward for e.g. a cover system would have been fresh however it doesn't prevent you from enjoying the ride. The one thing that MW3 does deliver on is it's action packed set-pieces and it does it better than any of it's rivals and in doing so it does engross you throughout whether it's a thrilling train-journey under the British Parliament, witnessing the destruction of the Big Apple or even the collapsing of the Eiffel Tower and that brings me to the visuals it's not close to competing with the very best such as Uncharted but it still does the business for Call of Duty. The one area where Infinity Ward and co continue to thrive upon and deliver the goods is the Online/Multiplayer. People had complaints about MW2 and I wasn't overly impressed by it but MW3 is redefined and plays a treat so be prepared to say goodbye to hours upon hours of your social life its addictive as ever. Again there's nothing new game mode wise the usual suspects online like Free-For-All, Team Death match and all the favourites that entertain us for hours on end are there again but now the guys at CoD have introduced Call of Duty Elite, is it a con for your money, probably but what it does is allows you to improve your game as well as compete in year round competitions for prizes and earn XP its not essential although i'd imagine a fair few might be purchasing it at some point. On top of that Spec-Ops returns for a second outing after it proved to be a success in MW2 and again it's a delight and gives the game plenty of life and to top it off thereâ Expand

Only reason this game gets a 7 from me(I'd give it a 7.5), is because they are still using Host Migration when they have been making plenty of money to use dedicated servers. That and there are still quite a few bugs they need to kink out.

Everything else, is exactly what I expected. I never bought into the hype, and came out satisfied. Spec Ops missions are where this game truly shines

Regardless, even though I am NOT a Call of Duty fan, developer Sledgehammer Games has created a worthy game for a franchise that annoys me entirely. The physics feel cheap and flimsy, as the guns do not actually recoil realistically and animations look unnaturally robotic. Being able to go full auto at someone with a machine gun while having the reticule barely budge makes the gunplay feel unrealistic and cheap. Sound effects are equally messy; gunfire sounds more like a fruitblender than anything else. Firing the weapons has no weight behind them due to the muffled, unrealistic sound effects and the robotic physics, giving little to no satisfaction in landing hits. At 60 bucks, IW is robbing us of our money. This is almost the same game, with the same engine, the same graphics, and same gameplay as the previous two. I feel like there is an immense lack of effort and dedication put in by the design team; in its third iteration, i expect a game to at the very least have technological improvements over its predecessors. But even there I am disappointed. I find it hilarious that the Glen Schofield has the balls to ask for higher user ratings on Metacritic after pumping out this product on so much hype. It is filled with intense action sequences, making players left speechless. The graphics engine is the same as the others, but this time it is more polished, and there is also destructible environments (Don't expect BF3 destruction). The sound is very good, along with the score and voice acting. Special Ops mode is similar to MW2s Spec Ops. Players are assigned objectives, such as rescue hostages, kill HVTs, recover data, etc. It is a great mode to play with a buddy, but some missions felt repetitive, possibly due to the fact I was playing them on Veteran, which was frustrating. Also, there is a new mode in Spec Ops where players fight off countless number of waves, just like zombies. Players can gain money by killing enemies and surviving waves. With the money that you earn, you can buy airstrikes, support squads, weapons, etc. It is fun for the first 10-15 waves, but starts to get a little old, just like most horde based modes. Multiplayer is what people would expect. It still has that Call of Duty feel, which there is nothing wrong with that. They kept the same formula and polished things that were problems in the past Call of Duty games. There are new modes, kill streaks and customization that will satisfy many players.

The overall experience is great. Yes there are some flaws like in every other game, but it does not make COD MW3 a terrible game. Some people just play online, which I think is a problem with the ratings. Do not make a review on a game when you have not played the full game. Also, it is not IW or Sledgehammers fault that stupid people ruin the experience. Don't blame them for something that they have no control of.

Firstly the campaign, the end of MW2's campaign was intense and epic and MW3's starts with this one left off and continues to get better and better from there, while sometimes it can get repetitive fighting wave after wave of enemies like most shooters this game makes up for that with their intense sequences and amazing set pieces. The stories well done and is a satisfying end to the trilogy running at about 5-6 hours on regular (easy, regular, hard and harder)

Spec Ops- This gametype was in MW2 it has much of the same in MW3 but this time they have added a new edition with a horde mode where you fight endless wave after wave of progressively harder enemies. For the people wondering this isn't much like the Zombie Mode from Black Ops because Zombies had it own theme, story, and Maps from the multiplayer where as MW3's horde mode doesn't. I'd compare it mor to Gears of War 3's Horde mode but in 1st person of course.

Multiplayer- This is really what your going to get your hours and moneys worth out of this game there are a few tweaks here and there to improve balancing but its pretty much the same formula as MW2 they have new ideas that have improved the gameplay like new game modes, perks and new ways to get killstreaks. However I'm disappointed they didn't use the good ideas Black ops had like their currency system because with that system no1 was at a disadvantage depending on what level they are and by not having currency they don't have wager matches any more either which I also liked. So the multiplayer is good and been very enjoyable. also I haven't come across any boosters or hackers yet so thats a plus.

Overall a great game and definitely one of the games to pick up this holiday

You feel like you are accomplishing something great in every match. It would have been cool if they had vehicles like in BF3 (I do barrel rolls all day in those jets. An overpriced content pack masquerading as a full fledged release. The dev teams involved although did do their best to deliver a functional game with new content despite the massive IW split, outside of this commendable merit this game warrants none.

GREAT GAME! Been a fan since COD4, and gotta say each game has improved upon the previous. Great game, completely wipes away the flaw ridden Black Ops. Lovin it. The multiplayer is awesome and much more balanced than previous iterations. Requires a mix of styles to prevail in the multiplayer. Some glitches remain and the graphics are no great leap, but it's exactly what I want from a COD game. Great online fun and an OTT campaign.

They fixed a lot of the issues with MW 2 shotguns are primary weapons not secondary and you cant get the RPG till your level 80 so it takes out some of the noobs running around with them. The new game type kill confirmed is a lot of fun. With this game type you do not have to worry about camping since you have to confirmed the kill by running over to get the dog tags. I found the gameplay fun if repetitive, with some nice set pieces (forgetting about the insultingly cheap 'shock' scene that happens mid-game). From what I have heard the multiplayer has barely changed and frankly the single player game is decent enough but for the amount of time you'll spend playing it, it's just not worth it. I'm glad I can afford to blow that amount of cash on a single player game that expires after a matter of a few hours and a MP game that is the same as one I already own. Fun few hours mind, but should definitely have been DLC. Looking forward to Skyrim - same price and probably 50 times as long.

When it comes to The single player campagn is amazing and it does exactly what one would expect from the series. New beautiful environments, tight controls, and new additions to your arsenal. The multiplayer is just as amazing. They have really added some major improvements. Now your rounds can get recorded and you can save the recordings and upload them for bragging rights. They also have made it easier to join a match with your friends which is a major plus. I won't go to in depth with this review because I don't want to spoil it but PLEASE don't listen to the other reviews. Theres a reason why MW3 does as well as it does and this game deserves the sales and recognition it gets. As they say it gets lonley at the top.

The people giving this poor reviews are obviously haters, BF3 boosters, or both. Look, I've played these since the original run and as far as the single player goes, the mechanics haven't changed much (hit the 'trigger' opponent, move to next fight scene, ad nauseum; the AI could be improved also with it still reacting stupidly between friend and foe when they encounter one another) whichThe people giving this poor reviews are obviously haters, BF3 boosters, or both. Look, I've played these since the original run and as far as the single player goes, the mechanics haven't changed much (hit the 'trigger' opponent, move to next fight scene, ad nauseum; the AI could be improved also with it still reacting stupidly between friend and foe when they encounter one another) which is why I'm giving it 8/10. The single player story however, looks great and is still interesting enough to make you want to play it.
But who's buying these simply for the campaign alone anyway? The multiplayer is the best out there, period. The framerate makes the game unmatched, yes even those who have supposedly introduced bigger and better engines (played 'the other guy' and didn't see what was so fabulous), along with the great upgrade system whereby you can truly make your playstyle your own. There is no 'right' or 'wrong' setup, but the one which works for you. The devs had said prior to release they're aiming at making it a gunbattle multiplayer moreso this time around and took out the complete dominance of airpower, and they did. The options are near limitless, and a lot of fun to explore. Then, the brilliant idea to keep the hook in: Elite. The fact that they're going to release one map per month is very smart, as what usually kills a game off is the lack of maps; I know it certainly is for me. Definite thumbs up there.

So that is two games in one, but we're still forgetting a third: Spec Ops. These are a lot of fun also and they've improved far beyond what MW2 offered, as you now level up separately in Spec Ops with the bonuses from the missions contributing to the Survival mode. Very cool idea. Again, they've beaten the pants off it's braggart competitor, BF3 in this regard. I played and beat all of the missions in BF3 with little effort in a few hours. To make matters worse, if you want to unlock all the in game bonuses, you're forced to play through the BF spec ops missions again and again and again...ugh.

The winner of that battle is clear cut, I believe. But this review isn't one game vs another (as they're two differing games that shouldn't be compared to begin with honestly, but I've drawn myself into the silly debate by offering my comments I suppose), it's about THIS game. To summarize: the single player mechanics are a letdown, as it's the same formula but the story is still fun to play through, which I recommend doing, especially if you've followed the series since the original MW. The multiplayer has ratcheted up the fun factor with a vast array of options, and the Spec Ops is well done, with both missions and survival mode. Giving this game a bad review simply isn't honest.
Proves the old adage though, that when you're king of the hill everyone either loves you or hates you.

Well done, IW/Activision, I look forward to the next one. :)

Now, to MW3. I've logged hundred of hours on MW2's multiplayer (read again: hundreds). Modern Warfare 3 is a net improvement over MW2. The graphics are better (not breathtakingly better, but better) is still super smooth 60FPS the gameplay is funny and thilling, the single player campaign is first class and yet they improved the multiplayer gameplay with:

    - Removed the camping-friendly nuclear bomb.
    - Removed some annoying perks like OMA
    - Nerfed the noobtubes
    - Less camping friendly maps
    - Less air support streaks and SAM turrets like the one in Black Ops

Yes, it's the same moderate quality textures, same unrealistic and pathetic gun sounds, same single player thats as linear as the line y=x., and that's a real shame. Activision's desire for a yearly release gives the developers no time for any real innovation or enough time for a new engine, this is what lets down this game. It's no longer fun to pay for a brand new game, along with 3 compulsory map packs or the elite subscription if you wish to avoid being 'kicked' from MP games, its becoming greedy. The included maps are tacky, small and repedative from my experience on them, and alas, it is clear that IW haven't listened to fans as the dreaded 'Noob Tube' returns as an early unlock which is perhaps my least favourite thing about call of duty. Graphics (7.5/10): Perhaps not as good as MW2, but a clear step up from Black Ops, the engine however doesn't allow for the dynamic lighting that some rivals to this franchise and the textures are clearly copy and pasted from earlier games. As usual, the guns look great themselves, the few high quality textures are devoted to firearms which look much better than anything else, albeit, not quite as good as BF3. One thing I really like is the 60fps, it leaves the game play smooth at all times, and never seems to dip.

Sound (1/10): Pathetic is the only way to describe them, unrealistic and completely wrong gun sounds return. There are also no dynamic sounds, so a sniper rifle on the other side of a map, 3 blocks away, sounds the same as if it were 5 metres away. Very, very dissappointing.

Multiplayer (4/10): A quote from MW2: "Same stuff, different day", which is a perfect description of the multiplayer aspect of MW3....its nearly IDENTICAL! Some different guns, some not, same sounds, slightly redesigned maps, same game modes practically. There is a huge hype behind "Kill Confirmed" mode, which would be great for a communicating team, however, I'm told that this has been taken from Crysis 2 (not 100% sure on that) plus a slightly different version of CTF. These add little to the game. The same stupid killsteaks, including the annoying Juggernaught that appeared in spec ops last time. Again, in a few months time, be prepared to shell out US$15/$AU23 for the first of 3 map packs that if avoided will see you kicked from every server (or $50 for the elite service). The maps too, all seem identical bar the NYC map, which, combined with the tiny size ( 6 players per team max usually and the playing area is tiny) leaves one bored VERY quickly. Ah yes, to allow for new and unskilled players, noob tube returns from its nerfing in Black Ops to again leave me wanting to tear my hair out in frustration. "Quickscoping", another frustrating 'innovation' has returned to haunt me, an exploit of the over-helpful aim assist. The P2P servers are a clear step down from dedicated ones, they limit the number of players and lag like hell in Australia, I hate it, it's not as fun as past games.

Offline (3/10): Meh, another over the top, unoriginal story. Unbelievably short, finished on easy in 4 and half hours, contrary to most "professional" critics who say it takes 8. However, at least IW tried to do something new with a rip off of zombies along with some more co-op spec ops, however, no co-op will ever compare to Treyarch's Zombies. As a whole, the offline component appears half baked and tired.

Overall, I was going to give this game 6 or 7 out of 10, however seeing as its part of a series, it is a rediculous copy of the last one, hence its low rating. The "professional" critics who raved so highly need to get a grip and loose their bias, as a once CoD fanboy myself, I am very disappointed and will be trying out BF3 in the near future as I return this 'new' game. A pathetic money grab, if you enjoy CoD, play MW2 or MW1, they're by far better than this.

When taken as a separate game apart from other call of duties, it would probably be one of the best games out there. Thrilling single player with epic set pieces shine in front of a sometimes confusing story. The action is really what matters though, and it is great. Fast, frenetic, and fun! Shooting is more realistic with a greater kickback in some guns, and faster more realistic kills. The Multiplayer remains just as fast paced, fun, and addicting as ever, and veterans of the series who are here for just multiplayer are sure to be happy. New modes and small additions like the leveling of separate guns are added, and this time around you'll have to reach level 80 to prestige; a great addition for those who don't want to prestige and just want to keep on leveling. The problem lies in the fact that this isn't a game separate from all of the other call of duties and its value suffers from it. After annual call of duties for over 5 years the core gameplay remains largely the same. No new innovations. Nothing is done to say, "Hey! This game is going to change the way we see the FPS genre!" Not every game has to do that, but since this is an annual game, it really hurts the value. If you haven't bought the other, much better, more innovative games that have come out this year like Skyrim, Zelda, Uncharted, Gears, Rayman, Infamous or whatever, do yourself a favor. Get those instead and make yourself a better gamer. Fact is, There's no good reason to buy this if you bought black ops last year, but if you caved, to play with friends like I did, then there's no doubt you are in for a wild ride, and hours of fun! I'll keep it short and sweet. MW3 is a fantastic shooter both offline and online. It has tons of replay value and its action packed, but it a more Hollywood style fashion. The roots of this engine (though its probably been modified enough to call its own now) are from ID's masterpiece. Its fast, the netcode is great, it just works and it runs at smooth as silk frame rate.

Just enjoy it, its fun. Thats what COD is about, I don't have time to screw around with the details, I just want to plug it in, and kill **** The tactical side is there when I want it.

Great end to a great game...what were these people expecting?

How could they totally re-envisage the game to be different on the last segment of a game trilogy? This flows from the previous chapter and I wouldn't have expected anything else!

Well done to all! Saying that I'm expecting great thing from the next one...innovations in abundance!

I know that it has been in previous games but this is where COD has an advantage over Battlefield. The online is fun and single player is good as well. That is why I don't think the user score is deserved. I can't compare it to previous games since I didn't play many previous COD games but a fps cannot change that much. The online cannot change from game to game in my opinion unless a new mode or different point system is implemented. I think the only things that can change are the campaign and single player modes. I don't know how people can ask for a lot of change from one fps game to the next that is not really story driven. Also by madden or any sports game, I don't buy the game every single year but wait a few years between each game for major changes to happen. Expand

I am loving the single player, is fast paced and fun, and the multi player is fun to. So my score is 8 but to compensate the low score i will give it a 10.

MW3 doesn't feel like anything ground breaking and the maps are very arena like. MW2 may have been a cluster fack, but when it came out everything in it was new and exciting, you cannot say the same about MW3. I don't see this game lasting long before people start looking forward to Treyarch's installment next year.

Though the story seems different, really it's just the same thing, again and again. No new change in graphics, even half of the guns are re-used. It is essentially a DLC for MW2.

Why fix somthing if it isn't broken? That said, the improvments made are (mostly) welcome ones. The campaign brings a satisfying conclusion to a story started 4 years ago. It includes the big budget stunts and set pieces that we've come to expect from CoD. Every explosion is bigger and every set piece is more exciting. I have never been a huge fan of CoD multiplayer, but MW2 was perfection incarnate. With MW3 every map, weapon, and perk seem to favor fast, twitch response gameplay over the larger, more deliberate maps and "Play how you want" mentality of MW2's customization options and I find that disappointing.

The new survival game mode is the normal horde mode with a CoD twist. Adding CoD's frantic, sweat enducing gameplay to a tried and true mode of many other games. This isn't the greatest game ever, maybe not the greatest CoD, but what new aspects it brings to the table, the hard work of the makers of the game, and the innovation the series has brought to it's genre are not deserving of the 0's people have given it because they want to send a message, or they want to show everyone they aren't part of the crowd, or just out of boerdom. CoD doesnt deseve this, Infinity Ward doesnt deserve this, potential buyers dont deserve this, and Activision? well maybe Activision does deserve this.

Who wants a new game-play experience when you can hide behind your franchise name and dupe millions into buying a two-year-old sans a few tweaks? Let the sales do the talking; let the sales do the guiding. Those green-colored glasses will surely help you develop the next sixty dollar map pack.

All sarcasm aside, it sickens me as a gaming connoisseur that a company can beat a dead horse and flee the scene with millions of dollars. If they want this series to stay strong they need to take the first step and do something original like when they first released MW1 because right now its getting sad.

Case and point this was an overpriced expansion pack, and if their map pack prices were any indication they definitely arent strangers to ripping people off.

Let's spend minimal effort changing our game from the previous iteration. Make a new campaign that is lack luster at best. Doesn't compare to the current generation of games in the graphics/audio departments.

Did the other games feel like an expansion with more levels, weapons, and moves? Yes. Does this game feel like it actually took more away then it added? Yes. Also, I did pay or COD Elite with high hopes; however, I am disappointed in that also. Honestly, if you knew the game would sell that many copies, with that much hype, and that many pre-orders.... Expect a lot of traffic. Having voice chat constantly cutting out, lobbies drop, spec ops not work past the 1st level online, and Elite itself be down on launch just sours the experience. And please don't say it is a users connection speed, because nothing is worse then having almost 100mb download and 10mb upload, and still have a game choke. It has the same cliched moments over and over again, the A.I is just as bloody stupid as ever, with team mates made to look like they are shooting at the enemy, but are actually shoting at nothing, leaving you pretty much by yourself having to do everything yourself. The Map designs are generic, its all been seen before. The Sound effects are good, but can get very, very annoying. Guns don't sound realistic, I would know I'm in the army. Its like a Michael Bay movie, explosives everywhere and alot of action, but my god is the story different no.

Multiplayer is the worst part about the game. It feels like a Map pack to MW2, the maps have the same basic design, You will constantly respawn in front of enemies, You can still shoot through thick steel or brick walls but can't shoot through paper thin materials or thin wood. The Perks are pretty much all the same. Killstreak system is different a bit, but my god, you don't feel rewarded in any way cause the killstreaks are handed out like your at some charity event. The Guns are very unbalanced, with some guns having very little fire power then others. The Attachments are very much the same. Its full of cheaters.

There was no effort put into this game, recyled material, untalented developer team who just physically can't think of anything new to do to the series.

All I can say is, if anyone actually still buys MW3 after reading all the negetive reviews, then they are a very boring bunch of people who want to play the same thing over and over again. There are way better games out there to play then this cheap peice of crap. I couldn't find many positives about this game, the voice acting was good and the multiplayer had some fun moments at the start, but I really couldn't believe how fast this game got boring. Feels like the multiplayer is more about getting killstreaks for yourself, the game does not encourage team work at all. Haven't played the BF3 singleplayer yet, but the Multiplayer is 100 times better then MW3 and way better then any other multiplayer i've ever player, get BF3 or just start player MW1 or 2 again, atleast you can get more fun out of those games. Yes MW was great. It was a game changer for the franchise, with many industry changing features, it set the bar quite high. But that was 2007. And today we basically stall have the exact same game. A little bit of tweaking around the engine, little more complex models and a rock steady 60FPS. The game hasn't changed much. If you've played a MW game in the past you've played MW3... Im a huge COD fan, since day one the original came out, theres not many people that have been with the franchise that long but this is a disappointment. And honestly, who cares about single player, games like this are made to be played in competition, how can anyone enjoy the story when its so ridiculous and set piece after set piece. C'mon infinity ward. I could tell you slacked off the moment i ranked up to level 2 and heard that same annoying heavy metal jingle I've been hearing since 2007--- and every other sound, menu, animation, perks, kill streaks, etc....

-Good balances have been made in online gameplay.

-Maps are designed for PC and not console controllers.

-Engine is fast but f*cking ugly. (why are u still trying with that hideously implemented depth of field IW?)

-Feels like an overall hack job.

MW3 is what the best of this genre can bring and at a consistent 60fps with 1080p output. Expand

Call of Duty: MW3 delivers some strong, fun gameplay and is fresh with it's graphics. It may contain some past features like the same engine and the same gameplay from previous COD games but it's the COD you know and love. Spec Ops is still fun as ever with some new maps and new challenges. Survival Mode is great as well and with it's Zombies like waves of endless enemy's who get stronger by the wave. It has fun weapons and cool equipment you can use for surviving each and every wave. MW3 itself is quite underrated but it is a great game that will leave you at the hands of a controller for hours and hours. If you enjoy fun and entertaining shooters then this is the package for you. Grab a copy! Expand

Black Ops was great, but this game doesn't deliver anything new except from the new maps, perks, fix expansion that brings to the table. Once the Elite runs out the maps are gone as well.
MW2.5 fits the name of the game. I passed on this game I borrowed from a friends, I did the right thing to pass this game. BO did an awesome job at balancing kill streaks and game play. I would say this

I would say this is one of the worse of the serious. Short campaign. Kills streak system is worse than before. Allowing you to reset the kill streaks after you reach them all three. Kills with kill streaks counts towards your next kill streak. So basically you don't have to die to regain them. Other words this game isn't challenging anymore and doesn't offer anything fresh. Is true the engine might be re touch a little, but you can't really tell. This game fails at bringing something new on the table. Critics might say is worth it but from a player stand point is one to let go. At least treyarch did great at releasing something fresh and new last year.

Seriously? Recycling buildings, sounds, animation loops and a formula that was "new" two years ago in a so called FRANCHISE. Please, get some real work done here. It´s almost abusive to pay so much money for a game that really feels like a bad DLC of MW2. In the other hand that campaign is impressive... ok, i´ll give the game a 3.0

A big "LOL" at all the negativity in these reviews. For starters, I will be the first to say that no, MW3 is not revolutionary by any stretch of the imagination. It doesn't deviate from its predecessor in many noticeable facets. However, it's not MEANT to. However, it's not MEANT to. While that sounds lazy on paper, and may cause some "I feel like I've done this before" moments as already stated by others, let's all be mature adults and give the game a realistic score not based entirely out of being butthurt because you were silly and expected this to be a completely different game. MW3 is not a 0, or a 1, or anything on the lower end. Infinity Ward put time into this game, and while they may not have reinvented the wheel, they tweaked the things that worked for the first two games to make them BETTER. And I, for one, am completely okay with that.

Bottom line: If you want innovation, look elsewhere. If you're like me and just want more of what you grew to love in MW2 with fresh maps and a more balanced multiplayer experience, don't pass this one up.

I wouldn't take any of the low scores on Metacritic too personally. Most of the people who bought MW3 are playing it and not writing bad reviews. These people most likely own BF3 and haven't even bought Mw3. Amazon's reviews are more likely to be true (since you can see which reviewers actually bought the game through amazon). This site has no way of confirming if you've played it or not.I wouldn't take any of the low scores on Metacritic too personally. There's a tangible insistence from gamers that this series needs to evolve, but it seems unwarranted when it still leads the FPS class. The engine's definitely in need of an overhaul, but when it comes to thumping set-pieces and addictive multiplayer design, Modern Warfare 3 is still in a league of its own.

By sticking to the series' strengths, Modern Warfare 3 delivers some of the best competitive, cooperate, and single-player shooting in the business.
