    This is, most likely, the most disappointing release i have ever seen.

    Warcraft 3 : Reforged promised a lot of things but ultimately failed to deliver. The list of undelivered promises is so long one has to wonder if this is even real. No new UI and no option to change it, no new cutscenes, the remade voices and portraits are emotionless, lots of things such as clans and cross-realm    This is, most likely, the most disappointing release i have ever seen.

    No new UI and no option to change it, no new cutscenes, the remade voices and portraits are emotionless, lots of things such as clans and cross-realm play are now cut along with MANY other stuff. Not to mention countless game breaking bugs.

    It has been reported that Blizzard paid some asian company to create these new models, which leaves me with a single question - what exactly has Blizzard been working on these past years? And honestly, when i saw this new graphic i instantly thought of a low-rent cash grab mobile game.
    They are also seem to be merging classic Warcraft 3 with this new abomination resulting in a forceful "upgrade".

    Combine all of the mentioned above with their new set of rules such as content creators having zero ownership over their projects and you get a butchered modding community and player trust.
    Imagine if such restrictions existed 15-20 years ago. We wouldn't get a Counter Strike or a DOTA.

    And as if all this wasn't enough the majority of people seem to be unable to refund the game as Blizzard refuse to do so. They are also banning people who provide a way for others to refund the game.

    I was really looking forward to this game. But it has almost none of the promised features.

    The graphics feel worse than the original, they lack heart and clarity. There is no working ladder, multiple other battle net features are non existent.

    О чем тут можно говорить вообще? Обещали одно, а мы получили совершенное иное. Как играть не понятно. В вас верят, покупают ваши игры. Но запас прочности есть у всего. Не знаю насколько вы близки к краху. Но сейчас вы скорее похожи на инди-контору. И причем не самую лучшую. Игра ужасна во всех отношениях. Что в ней хорошего? Новые модельки? Ну они тоже не без греха. Они вообще видели,О чем тут можно говорить вообще? Обещали одно, а мы получили совершенное иное. Как играть не понятно. В вас верят, покупают ваши игры.     I loved Warcraft 3 and pre-ordered reforged as soon as I heard about it; I am not a happy purchaser. I am still waiting for Blizzard to respond to my refund request for this utterly broken pre-alpha pile of garbage but I assume I am in a long queue. The game is horribly unstable and calling this anything other than half-arsed is being dishonest. To add insult to injury there isn't muchI loved Warcraft 3 and pre-ordered reforged as soon as I heard about it; I am not a happy purchaser. I am still waiting for Blizzard to respond to my refund request for this utterly broken pre-alpha pile of garbage but I assume I am in a long queue.     If you want to see a classic game getting an amazing refresh then go and download Black Mesa which is a fan built remake of Halflife; it is rock solid, actually improves on the original and looks great so is basically the exact opposite of Warcraft 3: Reforged.

    Blizzard ****** up so bad that they somehow made it to the top 3 list of companies that you NEVER give money upfront to. And they managed to land the 3rd spot as they entered it. Goes in this order

    1. Cloud Imperium Games (CIG) - that's Chris Roberts, Star Citizen. Never give this douche a dime. Undisputed champs.

    Horrível, não tem praticamente nada do que mostraram na Blizzcon. A luta entre Illidan e Arthas foi um completo fiasco, parece que fizeram com action figures em stop motion, as cutscenes são todas antigas, nem se deram o trabalho de fazer novamente num padrão "WOW". Me sinto completamente enganado pois fizeram propaganda de um jogo que simplesmente não existe!

    I completely suggest you avoid any and every “Blizzard” title that releases from here on out.

    I am a longtime and massive fan of Warcraft 3 who was playing the older version consistently since it was released. I ADORE the game. It’s my favorite childhood game, and my family loves facing one-another.

    “Blizzard” did nothing good to this game, and I mean nothing. The only good thing about Reforged is the character models, and “Blizzard” did NOT make the character models. They had another company do it. I am utterly baffled at this, considering there was delays, and yet there is absolutely nothing they themselves added to the games. In fact, they made it actively worse! More bugs and the inability to play the original without these bugs.

    That’s not even the worst part, here are the reasons you should ditch this game and all other “Blizzard” games:
    1. They are so bitter over not making money off of dota 2 that they restricted some of the custom games you can play, along with now claiming complete copyright ownership of anything you make in game. That’s right, if you make a popular custom game and refine it for years, they can just take it, use it, not credit you, and not compensate you. Not only that, but if you use that material, even if it uses other assets, they can sue you for COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT OF YOUR OWN GAME MODE. Just disgusting.

    2. The vast majority of promises for the game are missing. No new cutscenes. No new UI. In fact, much of the marketing is just blatant lies. There is nothing here.

    3. They actively took out features! That’s right folks, no ranked ladders. Not only did they outsource the only work that was done, but they stripped features out.

    4. Despite all the promises broken, and trash game, they REFUSE REFUNDS. You read that right. They refuse to refund you if you even opened the game for five minutes to see if it was what they promised. They punish you for checking if they told the truth. You thought that was all? Nope. They are actively banning members helping with refunds on “Blizzard” forums.    … Expand

    I was right to not get my hype on for this game. Activision Blizzard lied in the past and were also lying for Warcraft III Reforged. Game itself is very buggy, lacks promised content and they are making very hard to refund it. It is apparent that they reworked it because of greed and not out of love for the franchise and fans. Not worth a single cent. Would rather play original Warcraft III.

    Why do I have to download ALL of Reforged just to play the original? I already refunded Reforged but have to install it for my original 2002 copies. Why???

    Never mind the fact Blizzard has effectively made this a downgrade from the original - with multiplayer ladders even gone. Why bother "remastering" if the result is worse than what you started with?

    This is a forced change from a beloved game from the early 2000's, one of the first games I've ever played and yet still continue to play. A quality RTS game. And the ability to play so many variations of custom games truly made the game. Want a life-simulator? Great. Battle arena? Yup. LotR battle reenactments? Uh huh.

    But because of this game, those are all out. If the map doesn't qualify for their new restrictions on created content (all because Activision is salty that they couldn't cash in on DotA), then chances are it doesn't work. I've uninstalled the game and reinstalled Warcraft 3 off of a disk. And I guess I'll never connect online through Battle.Net ever again.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Such disrespect for fans is inexcusable. The last drop was it: "Custom Game Acceptable Use Policy". Blizzards have corrupted a classic like its voice acting and they would well do new voice acting for reforged not touching a classic voice acting. More for what me a superfluous GB with the Reforged Models for the classic when I wasn't buying reforged in general. I played in WC3:Reforge at my friend and I was not like it. Toxic graphic, missing the promised, more old bugs with new bugs, and missing the single player, custom campaign and more anything.
    It wasn't necessary to kill Classic WC3 and its interface. For users of the classic blizzards could to make symbiotism beetwens Classsic and Refroged. And no need was to do stupd rules for maps because blizzard kiled a mapmaking when limited the rights for users in the owning their but more precisely the owning at their ideas, perhaps musiс that user written itself, that is blizzards take away a works of mapmakers and taking away of this not their materials but materials which owned to user who created their including his ideas.

    As a result of: Blizzard have crapped down.

    Not only did they release an unfinished game, but they also destroyed the original game. I remember when blizzard cancelled Starcraft ghost when it was almost finished. quality was important. Then activation joined and now they release an Alpha/beta product as finished. This is the biggest robbery in gaming history. My vote is refund for all or jail time for the producers.

    They not only had the nerve to release a game that has LESS than its original counterpart but also went as far as crippling the latter (yes, the 20 year old game) with a patch that removed features and broke game modes to bring it down to par with the new one.

    I am now glad they ended up not remastering Diablo 2.

This a fundamental flaw that is time consuming and costly to fix after launch. If this isn't done right, nothing else matters. A zero here.

    Campaign Gameplay: This is the best of the worst aspects of this game. It does most of what the original did, however it feels rushed as an experience. Leaving out the crashes and bugs, it feels like most departments had their budgets slashed after 50% of the project was completed. Cutscenes are not up any measurable standard of quality, character models upgrades do little more than break story immersion when their lighting, colors, or other effects draw too much attention or stand out in an odd way. And, quite frankly, it looks dated. Besides the visuals, some aspects of the story are lost or were cut, as if someone had taken little details and tossed em out, or someone else hadn't written down certain story details. There are about twenty of these overall and they are enough to make you wish you were playing the original. There really isn't any good reason for this I could think of outside of cost and/or time. Overall it feels like a lack of effort. A zero here as well.

    Online Gameplay: Some of us like custom maps and appreciate the time and talent it takes to make the good ones, some of us like casual normal matches, and some of us like the competitive nature of an online ranking system. First, all custom maps made by users for Reforged, Blizzard is claiming ownership. There's just something about that feels wrong. I know games are made for profit, as are most venues of entertainment, but this is theft of ideas, time, and effort. It's not just a map. It wasn't the map that made DOTA and other spinoffs, it was the idea. And whoever had that idea for WC3 wasn't the first to have it, just the first to take that step and be successful on the WC3 platform. And for the next successful idea that takes off on the reforged platform, good luck in court. Normal matches are fine but laced with the playability issues already mentioned. There is also a host of UI issues that cause confusion and a general feeling of frustration.Oh, and there are serious random connectivity issues. Last but not least, for the competitive WC3 gamer, there is no ladder system, I repeat NO ladder system. Good stuff. Alas, another zero.

The Reign of Chaos campaign is broken because it uses the balance adjustments from The Frozen Throne expansion. Blizzard said they were going to update all the cut scenes but they re-did less than 5% of them. The ones they did re-do don’t even look good. The new art assets are awful, overly realistic, and clash with the cartoony style of the original game. The re-done units also makes the game significantly more difficult to read and see what’s going on. The new menus and UI are broken, laggy, and overall worse in every way imaginable. It’s like a mobile game UI pasted on top of a classic PC game. Custom games now have a report button for copyright infringement or foul language, 100% no fun allowed. Worst of all if you don’t like any of this they broke the original Warcraft 3 client so you can never go back. I’ve never been more disappointed with Blizzard in my entire life and I’ve bought every game they’ve made since Warcraft 2 Battle Net Edition.… Expand

    - game freezing and/or crashing
    - fps drops even on high end machine
    - no refunds when you're unsatisfied witht he product
    and if you hate your copy of the original Warcraft 3 and if you're ok with being lied to and getting whatever work you actually put into custom maps get stolen by Blizzard, then this game is for you.

Realistically, all of the Custom Games made me feel that I bought not JUST one awesome campaign and multiplayer experience... it felt that the game was ENDLESS.

    Jump forward to today. I followed Reforged and almost pre-ordered it to support the company I grew to love over the years with StarCraft, Diablo, Warcraft, and even Overwatch for a little bit.

    But after being a WoW player since 2006, I saw how that game had become a glorified grindfest and fantasy slot-machine simulator. The ease of defeating enemies and becoming the Uber champion of the whole universe...what happened to the satisfaction of getting your first piece of headgear? or the feeling of getting a new BETTER Blue item?

    Now, Blizzard just throws Epics and Legendaries in your face like its candy on Halloween.

    I knew this, and instead of letting my nostalgia take over, I waited for Reforged. I wanted to watch the Cinematic/Cutscene compilation on Youtube. See all the new features of an updated system. Before I spent another $30 on the game I've played endlessly for 15 years.

    Wow...What can describe my feeling? Nothing but a sheer and utter disappointment from Blizzard...AGAIN. Not only was there no updated cutscenes (like the one shown at Blizzcon), it was a buggy mess based on every video I watched the first few days of release.

    All of the old features from Multiplayer were eradicated, and the game honestly looked so MUCH worse than what was revealed at Blizzcon 2018. On top of that, my battle.net launcher updated my Classic game with a 20GB patch that forced me to play this dumpster-fire of a "game".

    Thank you Blizzard. I've already been unsubbed from WoW for a hot minute, and now have gone ahead and uninstalled your crummy launcher. I'm glad I still kept all of my Original CDs so I can Re-Install them. I'll just wait for a private server or try to meet up for LANs like the old days.

    Here's to the Blizzard of Old. When they cared about making great games, and better worlds. Before Activision swooped in, and the new Blizzard Motto became, "Profits before Players".

    I hope this sends a message. Not mine specifically, but this whole backlash from releasing a $30 unfinished, alpha-test, devolution of a time treasured classic.

    Thank you again for the Letdown. Everyone who has stuck with you along the way REALLY appreciates it. It gives us the excuse and push to move on from your S***ty treatment of the Universe's you've built and nurtured.

    Glad I'll be able to leave your company behind and spend my hard earned time and money elsewhere.

    And with that, i end my long-winded rant.

    It's hard not to rate this above a 0, they are still advertising the game using blizzcon footage which isnt even in the game, also the game runs so bad and I've had so many crashes that I've given up, got a refund and tried out aoe-de and so happy I did, honestly it sucks too see what's happened to blizz but at least they gave me a refund...

I was already unhappy that they moved the release a month forward, but to get this as the final product is unreal! And a Game completly uplayable that is making people look how to play the old TFT because Reforged is ruined.

Nostalgia ran through my veins as I watched the trailers and loved every second of new cinematics of which we would eventually get 4 hours total. The models, while certainly distant from the cartoony stile that characterizes warcraft i still thought that they looked amazing. New improved UI, new campaign maps, an improved engine... So many promises.... None of them delivered.... We basically paid 30 usd. (40 if you got the most expensive option) for some models that could have been added with a mod. This is false advertising, this is a scam and it shows the lack of respect that the thieves at blizzard feel for their customers. Well, this customer had enough and I don't want anything to do with blizzard anymore.… Expand

    i preordered as soon as this was announced and it took over a year for it to release being delayed a month just to get a retexture with several bits cut out and half the things promised conveniently not existing. It’s disturbing that a game could have a delayed release and still be no where near finished at launch.

    Only game I've ever gotten a refund on in my entire life. No lie. Nearly everything advertised originally, (and much of what is still on the webpage for the game) is totally absent. Not sure how Activision-Blizzard are justifying charging $30-40 for what is essentially just an HD texture pack, but they're doing it. DO NOT BUY!

    - No core changes - Cut-scenes are terrible compared to what was promised (as far back as 2018) - The only work done on this game was character model rework (and not even a good one, considering we are in 2020 right    Warcraft reforged did not deliver what it promised (and I'm a bit angry about that).     Full of bugs. Cancelled promises – no longer reforged, pretty much just a slight graphics improvement with a really high price tag for what it is.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
