    This is some wretched parody of classic Warcraft 3 from a small indie studio.
    No optimisation.
    - No new UI
    - No new cutscenes (just the old ones rescaled)
    - Lots of old features missing

    I had been really excited for this game. Warcraft had always appealed to me as a kid but I never had a chance to play any of the games. When this remaster was announced with modern cut-scenes bug fixes and the like i was ecstatic. A chance to finally play one of those big childhood dream games remade for modern audiences. Well looks like I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up. It seems theI had been really excited for this game. Warcraft had always appealed to me as a kid but I never had a chance to play any of the games. When this remaster was announced with modern cut-scenes bug fixes and the like i was ecstatic. A chance to finally play one of those big childhood dream games remade for modern audiences. Well looks like I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up. It seems the marketing department and the developers were working for two different games because what we got wasn't what we were promised. Seems like they put very little effort in to this remaster. Now to be clear this games isn't a 0/10 probably more of a 5ish game overall id say. but between the lies, the new we own everything you make licencing agreement and everything else it's a 0/10 to send a message.… Expand

    Blizzard is dead by the hands of Activision and its wanton greed as is painfully clear with this game. Greatly over promised and under delivered, bait and switch even. Tons of features removed, bugs, bloated installation size, and they even broke the original for gods sake.

    Everybody wanted a better online experience for Warcraft III, except Blizzard, who removed as many features as they could, and disabled the old battle.net service so that nobody could play the game there. Nobody cares about the graphics, that's why the community score for the game is so low.

    1) bad graphic on max settings. StarCraft II and Heroes of the Storm look much better
    2) no new cutscenes
    3) bugged animations from 2002

    The only thing that I liked was unique character models, but not with such graphics.

    How does this game company decide that it is ok to kill the old client. For people like myself who played the original Warcraft 3 since its launch in 2002 (on and off), I can no longer play it, and how is that ok? I own that game.

I own so many of your games and even paid for Hearthstone content. You got my last bit of money.

    How can you force people who own the original game to play the downgraded version. No stats, no ladder, no clans. Where are the contents you promised and enticed me to pre-order? And now I can’t get a refund because I pre-ordered and played in the beta lol. Whoever decided to kill the original client should resign immediately. He’s not fit to make big decisions like that. Who gave him the power to void all the purchases we have made since 2002 buying the original game? Is that even legal?    … Expand

    I've been a long fan of Blizzard game and I must say that this game doesn't meet Blizzard minimal standards. I've played the beta and the same crashes and bugs were there at launch. This is innacceptable for a Blizzard title... I rate a Zero because I don't think that we should accept a game with so much flaws and more so because it's a Blizzard game.     I am a longtime and massive fan of Warcraft 3 who was playing the older version consistently since it was released. I ADORE the game. It’s my favorite childhood game, and my family loves facing one-another.

    “Blizzard” did nothing good to this game, and I mean nothing. The only good thing about Reforged is the character models, and “Blizzard” did NOT make the character models. They had another company do it. I am utterly baffled at this, considering there was delays, and yet there is absolutely nothing they themselves added to the games. In fact, they made it actively worse! More bugs and the inability to play the original without these bugs.

    That’s not even the worst part, here are the reasons you should ditch this game and all other “Blizzard” games:
    1. They are so bitter over not making money off of dota 2 that they restricted some of the custom games you can play, along with now claiming complete copyright ownership of anything you make in game. That’s right, if you make a popular custom game and refine it for years, they can just take it, use it, not credit you, and not compensate you. Not only that, but if you use that material, even if it uses other assets, they can sue you for COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT OF YOUR OWN GAME MODE. Just disgusting.

    2. The vast majority of promises for the game are missing. No new cutscenes. No new UI. In fact, much of the marketing is just blatant lies. There is nothing here.

    3. They actively took out features! That’s right folks, no ranked ladders. Not only did they outsource the only work that was done, but they stripped features out.

    4. Despite all the promises broken, and trash game, they REFUSE REFUNDS. You read that right. They refuse to refund you if you even opened the game for five minutes to see if it was what they promised. They punish you for checking if they told the truth. You thought that was all? Nope. They are actively banning members helping with refunds on “Blizzard” forums.    … Expand

    I bought this game expecting gold, and I got **** The editor is just so insanely restricting, it is almost killing my creativity. I set out to remake some of my creations on Warcraft 3 the original, and it just stopped. I am really dissapointed.

I was looking forward to the updated story (tidying up the storyline to fix WoW lore + more insights into Arthas), updated cutscenes and graphics. The cutscenes are mostly the old cutscenes but re-rendered. I do admit that the in-game graphics look pretty good but as you're zoomed out all the time you don't really notice it.     Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
