    There are a lot of loud people that are mad, there is a lot of legitimate reason to be mad for sure, but some people are going to the extreme. The devs did the best they could under the constraints they were put under. *cough* Activision *cough*

    I think all the hatred would be a lot less if the devs actually communicated with us. The dev team during the beta was quiet, the time they talked was during press releases or to tell us of new builds. Their communication was nonexistent. We don't know what they are doing.

    All that being said, as undercooked as it is, I am enjoying Reforged. I fall into the category of being mostly satisfied with the new graphics. It is already a game I love and spent my childhood on, and I get to re experience it all in a new coat of paint. For this I am happy.    … Expand

    You guys had one job, and that was to remaster a game that was literally perfection, just with better graphics/a few new features here and there to IMPROVE the game. You guys actually managed to strip away important features and created even more bugs! It’s like this game was put together by intern-level blizzard employees that never played the original 2002 game at all!     This would have been 0, but I bumped it to 1 for the developers who are victims in this with the rest of us. Gaming went too far to the corporate side a long time ago. The rash of AAA titles falling off the cliff of greed clearly shows this.

    To me this is no different. A set of suits decided to boost 4th quarter sales for 2019 and shove this out the door clearly not ready for primetime.    This would have been 0, but I bumped it to 1 for the developers who are victims in this with the rest of us. Gaming went too far to the corporate side a long time ago. The rash of AAA titles falling off the cliff of greed clearly shows this.

    To me this is no different. A set of suits decided to boost 4th quarter sales for 2019 and shove this out the door clearly not ready for primetime. I am a dev and have been on the receiving end of bad decisions like this throughout my career. I feel for them. I only hope they have the chance to deliver what they are capable of rather than Blizzard abandoning them and the game.

    The other hope is that some of them get the balls and go off on their own and build us all a proper RTS with the features we all know would have made this a killer remaster. We would lose the characters and lore, but the all important mechanics could be preserved...    … Expand

I don't need to add to the plethora of negative comments about this game, the shameless broken promises and mis-leading advertising by an ex-beloved games developer. I've been a loyal fan since the original Lost Vikings. Sadly greed and studio meddling as led to this. Unfortunately Blizzard has gone the way of Bethesda and become so money-hungry that they put out this horrific crap just for a cash-grab.     bought it at 12, installed 12:30, after 2 hours (where i FORCED myself to complete 1 mission) i applied for refund
    few days ago i hoped this game is first sign that mayby there will be Warcraft IV, now i hope it will never happen - not with this blizzard

    I was thinking this is just review bombing, but then I bought this installed it, launched it, went to custom campaign to check campaign I was preparing for it and oh oh oh, wait wha... I did not found the button :O, and I tough zero ratings are only for edge lords but here we go I give it 0 because they even removed the button to play the game for me so it can not be 1 maybe 0,1 for nice menu

    The original Warcraft3 game and ecosystem was my favorite game of all-time. The remaster took everything I loved from the original and replaced it with nothing.

    To be short, I lost faith in your company a long time ago. It was the day of Overwatch's launch to be specific, though I shouldn't have given you the business even then after the Diablo 3 real money auction house. Activision/Blizzard I have watched you go from a great publisher & developer to a pitiful excuse of either in the 4 years since.

    From one mistake to another you've lost my custom and my faith, and while I had no reason to hope for a quality product from you, I did wish for you to turn it around.
    But enough is enough. I do not want to give you any more. No more hype, no more acclaids, not even passive data collection, and though you haven't received a penny from me in years I am now resolved to no longer buying any game with your names on the cover from this day forth.

    I ever I get nostalgic, I'm going to boot up an old PC that isn't connected to the internet, install the games off CDs, and enjoy reminiscing a time when you were once was great. A time from before you fell from grace.

    I may no longer be your target demographic, but if these other 12500+ negative reviews are anything to go by, you might have have many targets left if you mess up like this again.

    My condolences to the ground level developers, CM, and PR, I can only imagine what hell they must be going through.    … Expand

    To start with what I think one of the most egregious things with this “game” is the EULA for custom games. They have essentially claimed anything you submit and give up all “moral rights” to it should they decide to take your ideas and the whole mod for their own use. They spout they want to endorse creativity, only to kick the community in the teeth. A big part of this is to believed that it’s from games like Dota and LoL escaping through their fingers. Older Blizzard would’ve hired the guy who had such a great idea like they have for many of the well known creative heads in the company today. A plethora missing features has plagued not only Reforged but the old client as well. To be brief, there are things like clans, ladder, old balancing, and much more. Even for people who wanted to just be with the old game are affected by all of this. Possibly (haven’t tested it myself) there is also no offline play as well.

    You can argue performance issues are fixable and they are, it still doesn’t excuse with the amount of bugs, frame drops, texture issues, and crashes that have riddles everyone’s games big or small. I stopped playing initially after a few hours due to instant random defeat screens and having to play missions over and over.

    The high quality that was promised hasn’t been met. A shallow veil of lawyer speak is what keeps this company from going to court. A lot of the cutscenes were to be redone and retold. New missions and voice acting performances to help bring it into the new World of Warcraft lore. It’s all not present. The one cutscene they did with in game models was so laughably awkward it looked like an intern animator was the only person tasked to create it. JoseBV on Youtube has done so much more to create the Warcraft feel than a triple “AAA” company has with their own property. Many of this by the way still falsely advertised on their store page.

    There are a lot other issues too that could be written. It’s clear to see that Blizzard gave this game a shoe string budget, doing as little as possible when they found out that they actually had to put work in to match the initial promises given. Over the slew of failings and poor decisions in the past few years, this couldn’t be more obvious of how fallen from grace this company has become then the release of this “reforged” title.    … Expand

    Por ejemplo, que era un "footman"? Un soldadito, con un escudo muy grande, y una pequeña espada, pues se cargaron esa idea.

    Las voces, por lo menos la de español latino, son horrendas, la de Arthas por ejemplo, totalmente falta de la "firmeza" que tenía originalmente. Los acólitos perdieron esa voz característica como de degenerado tenebroso, y también los ogros perdieron esa voz intimidante y los trolls esa voz tan burlona.

    Y eso no es lo peor, por que aun ignorando todo el apartado estético, la parte jugable también cambió para peor.
    Las campañas están mucho mas fáciles, y no es una sensación, directamente falta torres donde antes estaban, o los zigurats por ejemplo, están en su lugar, pero no están upgradeados, por lo que no pueden atacar.

    También cambiaron la física, al momento de colocar ciertos edificios pegados, ahora las unidades pueden pasar por entre medio, que era una mecánica básica al jugar competitivo.
    Por lo que ahora si te enfrentas a un Orco, su blademaster se puede pasear por toda tu base, pasando entre edificios, masacrando a tus peones, eso cambia muchísimo la experiencia de juego y a mi entender la empeora mucho.

    Una decepción muy grande, solo lo puedo comparar a "Nuke Dukem Forever", es un juego que parece salió 10 años tarde.    … Expand

    Warcraft 3 reforged not only is a poor recreation of everything that made the original so great, it also comes with the neutering of the original masterpiece that was Warcraft 3. This is a poor attempt to cash in on nostalgia and make people rebuy a game many were still playing. Deactivated my battle.net account RIP Blizzard.

    I don't care for WoW, but I loved WC2 and enjoyed WC3. I was on the fence for Reforged, Activision has been destroying Blizzard left and right and s**t all over it. Now that I got a chance to try it I can say that while there remain a few parts of the old, this is an unacceptable mess that excretes everything vile over the legacy of Warcraft 3. Do not waste your money on it.

Crashes often, cant start campaign battles, and a whole host of other problems that I haven't encountered because I can't play the game but you will find in more in-depth reviews. **** Blizzard. Don't give them money for any reason and let the company die.

    Blizzard is nothing but a greedy decrepid company that banks on people's nostalgia nowdays. Stop supporting this company they deserve to go bankrupt to what they did with retail World of Warcraft and WC series.

    I was really excited for the reforged and pre-ordered a copy back in the fall of 2018 when it was announced as available to purchase. This would have been the first time I'd ever played the RTS game. I am severely disappointed in this version of it. Or at least nothing like we were lead to believe it would be in the advertisements shown.

    This has game breaking bugs that prevent folks from even getting through the prologue. (I got hit with this one) and they can't even play the game because of the prologue defeat bug. Features that were there in the original that are not there in reforged.

    I'm just disappointed even more so that they are denying refunds to people that pre-ordered and or bought the game. It just feels like a major cash grab to boost their sales back up from the failing that BfA has been on the company.

    I actually made a meta critic account just so I could give this game a review much like others have.

    My advice don't bother with this unless they severely fix the **** they broke and or unlink the original from reforged. Then buy the original from another source so you aren't forced to buy this garbage heap of a redo of a game.    … Expand

Warcraft 3 came with a ladder system, channel lobbies, profiles, chat commands, and party functions. All which, aside from their poor lobby system, is missing in their remastered version of the game.     There are a lot crappy looking models and icons, lack of new cutscenes and cinematics, downgraded battle.net functions. And on the top of that they also broke the original version of WC3 and made some new stupid policies about custom maps and will claim any created in reforged custom map as their own.

    Blizzard used to be the hero that supported its players but judging by this they've become the one who preys on its players even to the point they destroyed one of its true classics that made them so great for no reason. Massively disappointing as a whole and lost my respect that they even allowed this to be release in its state..

    Full of bugs, no real improvement that can be appreciated.

    Some people, including me, have devices on which you can’t even launch the game (error handling request)

    They made the last gameS of the series inacessible to those having this bug.

    Please shut this company doWn. Blizzard, you made your time, now please let the real professionnels create games.

I played at least 5 years of custom maps from TTW and TD defences to Dota! now not only they'r all gone, now its even impossible to create because of this damn policy updates. and what did we get a new 3D models for characters, and THAT'S it?? really? you charge us this much for 3D character models? its what you must do for FREE in classicOMG!     Be wary of this this - can own your custom campaigns - very buggy and broke in spots, quality of cutscenes NOT what was promised in trailers. On top of it all, it retroactively makes a good game bad. Legit does not deserve a 1.

    18 years of waiting for a reforged game that is considered one of the icons of video games for Blizzard with all the current technology to develop a game worse than the old... This is a refurbished game, not a reforged. Rest in peace Blizzard.

    i am very worried that because of the backlash from this game that the entirety of blizzard will be affected and will affect world of warcraft which already is not doing to well and im in love with wow so i hope it doesn't affect it too much ;(

    How did they mess up so hard? They had a game where all they really needed to do was a graphical update and UI upgrade and it would have been beloved, but no. They couldn't even bother with that, pathetic. They even dragged the classic game to the backyard to put down.

    It's basically just new terribly made HD models, there are even less features than in original wc3.

    Just don't waste your time and money on this unethical company, the game looks like it was made in 2010 or earlier.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
