    This game is a total waste of money! Blizzard is not what they used to be. total disgrace. Don't buy this game. Blizzard is just going to keep stealing their fans money with every cash grab opportunity. What a disappointment.

    I will preface this with i did not play the OG Warcraft 3 game.     Basically, they removed features from the old game, and removed the old game so you have to play with new degraded version. There is no incentives to create good custom games anymore. Promised features and upgrades never happened. We were also lied to. At the same time, good luck refunding once you have installed and tried the game.

    1. The game has a obviously downgrade.
    2. The "new" cinematics in-game wasn't like the live gameplay on blizzcon 2018. 3. They only rescaled the original cinematics. 4. The only "new" cinematic look like an amateur project from college. 5. No new UI. 6. They remove stuff from the original game like the clan system and single player mode. 7.     7. The game doesn't have a proper hotkey configuration, if you want to custom your keys you need go to the fold games and edit a .txt.
    8. Blizzard remove the classic Warcraft 3 from battle.net, so the old community need to buy the new version if they want to play it.
    9. Blizzard put EULA, so if anybody create anything on this game, your creation below to blizzard.
    10. The game has FPS issues.

    They massacred the old game. B.net was the holy grail of this game. All the custom map fun is dead. All the weekly tournaments are dead. I deserve to be able to play the old game.

    Don't bother buying this. Try to keep the old game. The slight visual upgrade is not worth it

    Not what was to be expected. The original game is more stable than this new POS. And they haven't even made 1 update since release to fix anything. GG wont be falling for another preorder from blizzard ever again. I woulda rather wished they left bnet the way it was, cause at this time it's pure garbage.

    This is a sad day for gaming history, the blizzard that exists today is just stepping on everything BLIZZARD stood for. Quality. Their work was always amazing, but recently Activision has caused irreversible damage and sadly this game is just a disaster.

    It is also forcing old TFT client to be updated to use the new buggy reforged client.

I remember coming home from school and booting this up and loving every second of it the campaign the cinematics everything and then we come to this dumpster fire of a reboot with none of the promised features and buggy as hell.

    What a total disgrace. Looks nothing like the announcements or previous trailers! I have followed the closed beta closely and they published this game as soon as it seemed somewhat reasonable to do so. However they did not meet anybodies expectations!

What makes it worse, is this studio was my childhood, from The Lost Vikings, Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, through to World of Warcraft, Blizzard has given me some of the best gaming memories of my life!

    When they announced they were doing a full remaster of Warcraft 3and adding extra content to the game, I was in! Instantly, I was ready to pay full price, $100+ if that's what it took! Warcraft 3 was one of the best RTS games I've ever played, from the story line, to the gameplay, it was just on point!

    So, I put my money down of course, and then they pushed it back. At first, I wasn't too worried, it's an important part of Blizzards heritage. I was sure they just wanted to do it justice. Then I heard they were cutting the new story content. That annoyed me. But, I held my peace. As long as I was getting the original game, with those sexy new graphics, I'd still be pretty damned happy.

    Then it got delayed again.

    Finally, the day came for release. I was constantly refreshing battle.net, to try and get into the game!

    The download started, and I could feel the anticipation rising, my excitement to get back in and play through one of my favourite game storylines, with all those sexy new cutscenese!

    The download finished, I got myself a drink, a snack and set myself up for a night of binge gaming...

    and the game crashed before I could even open a menu...

    Ok I though, maybe I needed to do a reboot. It was a pretty big game...

    After a restart of my machine, I tried again. I've got a pretty decent machine, i7-9700k, RTX-2060, 16gb RAM and i'd installed the game on an m.2 drive... Even the menu animations were glitchy and slow as hell! My blood was starting to rise a little, but I pushed it down.

    I walked away, and came back later. This time I got into a story mission, managed to watch the prophet winging his way around and whatnot. The gameplay was even worse than the menu's. Rubberbanding of character movement, completely stopping, and finally it crashed out.

    I nearly lost it!

    I gave up for two days because I was so angry! When I came back, there had been an update. I bypassed the intro campaign and went straight to Arthas... and I got booted saying i'd been defeated straight away, before the mission had even loaded!

    and on it goes like this.

    Blizzard, I hope you read everyone of these negative reviews and realise what little fan support you had left is flying out the window. You screwed the pooch with BFA, now you've done it again with War 3: Refunded...

    I have absolutely no interest in ever buying one of your products again after this!    … Expand

    $30 wasted and not even an opportunity to play the original. Blizzard is but a skeleton and sock puppet of Activision. What a complete utter let down of a beloved classic. Ui is horrible. Can't even play most custom maps, many things left out that were said to be in the game, graphics are not that great. The last straw was the B's about them owning rights to all custom maps.

    Blizzard did not deliver what they promised. Instead I got a reskin of the old game and no new cinematics. It took them this long to create this garbage. Yet another greedy cash grab that over promised and under delivered. It is a shame to watch a company whose games I have been playing for 25 years produce such garbage. I hope they can get their act together before it is too late

    To no surprise to anyone, Blizzard completely messed this up. They are using corporate bean counters to attempt to rewrite history. Can't even play the original (better) version because they have effectively removed. The Cut's to the game from even preview clips are completely gone, the bugs are plentiful, it seems no one at blizzard knows how to play test anything before releasing.     As someone who didn’t necessarily grow up with the original, but was a fan of the original, this is just sad. A blatant rip off of such a beloved game. The last time I played Warcraft 3 was quite some time ago but I instantly recognized those cut scenes as the originals. The UI is just as clunky as it was back then, and it breaks my heart to see the once great blizzard now fallen....

    They delivered a terrible product. I pre-ordered this game and what they showed on their reveal in 2018. is a completely different game than the one we got in 2020. The cut scenes look way worse, the FPS is terrible and many other features were cut.

    THIS IS A MONEY GRAB.

    Warcraft III: Reforged is at its most a visual upgrade to the old classic RTS game.
    I liked the little touches like the loading bar saying things like "Purging" "spreading the scourge", etc.
    I also liked the redesign of some areas like the Silvermoon City and the Sunwell, Stratholme, etc. But even with all that. This game is not what was advertised (and is still being advertised as of    Warcraft III: Reforged is at its most a visual upgrade to the old classic RTS game.

    But even with all that. This game is not what was advertised (and is still being advertised as of this day on the playwarcraft3.com page) On the page it still says "4 hours of reforged cinematics" showing an example of those cinematics with "The Culling" intro one. With character interactions that really spiced up the story and made it a fresh turn on an 17 year old game.
    Sadly enough, the game does not fulfill neither what it promised nor what it should have delivered as a remake of one of the greatest classics.
    The game is buggy, the UI images sometimes clip when selecting another unit, the models my glitch, "Singleplayer" made games are in reality hosted and therefore have a great lag even if you're alone playing them.
    Some cinematic have new camera angles, but that's all, no special movements/actions made for the cinematics like what is advertised with "The Culling" cinematic. Sometimes characters won't even move their mouth when talking.
    What to say about the menu screen, it has been shown to be running on Chromium, eating up almost all your RAM, wonder why a company of Blizzard's level would use an open software instead of building the menu on the game itself.
    I really think Blizzard outdid themselves this time in terms of literally not giving a f*ck about their own standards, their own community and players. Or as they see us now, their clients.
    If they just leave this huge problem as it is, then I'm sure they'll never receive support from us ever again. When they announce a Warcraft IV, if they ever do, no one will hype, after the fiasco that Reforged was.
    They are also doing something alike on WoW, but I only know about that in terms of lore, as I don't play WoW anymore, but if they keep going on this path, they will soon just become another of those "big AAA game-making companies that literally make cashgrabs that are absolute garbage and do not meet even todays lowest standards for any given game".
    Too sad to see that a remake of a game that could have sparkled so much was just thrown to the trashcan just because Blizzard won't care about the quality of their products until they start to just see their income fall.

    To end this review, I'll put a list of things that are good, and a list of things that are bad about Warcraft III: Reforged.

    Good things:
    Some models are really interesting and well designed.
    Two to three maps have been given a new layout that gives them a fresh look.

    Bad Things:
    Client really buggy-
    Game really laggy sometimes.
    The "4 Hours of Reforged in-game cinematics" are a perfect example of the truest false advertising.
    Addition of "Lore important characters" like Anaesterian just ofr the sake of catering to the "lore-
    hard" fans. Yet without any lines for them to interact with the known characters.
    Models glitch.
    Ui glitches.
    The "Reforged Cinematics" glitch.
    The game won't let you play singeplayer games without making a localhost, meaning if your
    internet disconnects, you'll be disconnected from that game. This even happens on the
    Campaign.
    No possibility to play custom campaigns, at least for the time being.

    From what I've seen on interviews from Blizzcon 2018 and 2019. I really think the team that was working directly on the game had a passion for it. But because of Blizzard's greediness they were pressed to deliver the game in whatever state on the Announced date of release, while also having a really low budget for Blizzard's standards.

    I really hope Blizzard sees the gigantic mistake they made with Reforged and redeem themselves not by apologizing or saying "we no understand it was a mistake" but by acting, update the game, polish it to the point where it resembles what was advertised, and then we'll start trusting you again. But until then, I'm not going to buy any other Blizzard game. As they've showed that they do not care for Quality.    … Expand

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
