    Blizzard has fallen so far. How hard can it be to not ruin a game that was this amazing? Apparently, by promising things that you don't deliver on and then shipping a shell of game that is far worse than the original.     Fundamentally wrong artstyle that has 0 blizzard's feel to it

    Some surroundings lost details for no reason and it turned out worse for the art style. Voicing downgraded, classic w3 on battle.net automatically downgraded with mandatory "reforged" updates. Models have more polygons, but lost like 90% of blizzard's unique style and feel. Was announced for preorder one WHOLE year before release. Still got delayed 1 month and was shipped untested and unoptimized. Where is the blizzard's quality? The new arthas vs illidan cinematic... it might have passed like... 15+ years ago? How could you approve such bad animations, lack of good soundtrack and an overall absence of blizzard's atmosphere. The way how bad the animations were was simply distracting. Stop underpaying your employees, fire you incompetent managers and replace them with ambitious and qualified ones. You cancel so many products cause they "don't match the blizzard's quality" and then you release this butchering of the loved by millions classic warcraft 3. Really?    … Expand

    If you buy this game right now know that all you are really getting out of your money (in case you already had Warcraft 3) is new models. You are paying the full price of a game for models.     I believed them when they said "Warcraft® III: Reforged™ is a complete reimagining of a real-time strategy classic. Experience the epic origin stories of Warcraft, now more stunning and evocative than ever before."... and I was a fool to do so, they've been letting the ball drop year after year... you'd think they learned not to **** up this bad when the Diablo Mobile was announced on Blizzcon.. but nope.

    What they learned was: People forget, and as long as they keep forgetting, we'll keep on profitting at their expense.

    There's no 'reimagining' of anything in this game, it's Warcraft III from 20 years ago with a new face paint. I do understand that people can be skeptic while changing the gameplay, I really do, but instead of creating new animations, giving them a new variety of skins, improving the cinematics and etc.. they settled for "Lets give them new models.. and push back a month so we can pretend we were working on other stuff as well so the fanbase don't lash out as hard as we think they will when they see this awful mess we made here."

    Welp, you dun' F# up Activision Blizzard, you advertised something that was false, delivered another buggy and experience, one that continuously crashes, you broke the multiplayer servers, you changed you TOS in order to safeguard yourself against the next DOTA (saying that you OWN any of the maps and the ideas behind them no matter who created them). Not only that, people whom owned WC3 and didn't want to update were forced to swallow these changes. Having options such as SHADOWS removed.

    You don't have a "0" game, the game is a rudimentary 6-7 because you messed up and made a buggy creation, but your M.O .. your scummy attitude make it be a "0" game. If they fix this mess I will change this review, but I doubt there's any salvaging from this situation at this point, after all.. Blizzard is no longer Blizzard... it's Activision Blizzard.    … Expand

    Blizzard once prided themselves on being a company which valued quality, and would always take extra time if needed to ensure a game was perfect before release. Unfortunately... this product is not that. It is instead the first time I’ve ever seen a remaster manage to ruin both itself and the original product. Blizzard should be ashamed of themselves.

    I just lost 30 bucks into this, I'm so disappointed in this "reforged" edition.
    The game is laggy, I thought first it was only a beta problem, but no, I can't get to 144 fps even in low settings, the game often freezes or crashes it's almost unplayable for me, of course I could use the old graphics but then why did I pay for this ?
    I'm so disguted right now, they ditched so many classic    I just lost 30 bucks into this, I'm so disappointed in this "reforged" edition.

    -No more LAN.
    -No Clans
    -No Profiles
    -No Ladder
    -Where are the 3D animated campaign backgrounds ?
    -Campaign is not finished (during one of the cinematic, there is a completely black screen with just a bunch of text for like 30 seconds, no voicing, no images just a white text sitting on a black screen...)
    -Art style doesn't feel like W3 anymore, it's so off it looks like a bad Unreal Engine fan remake.
    -Blizzard game policy about customs maps/models is horrendous.
    -You can't play the classic game anymore.
    -Lobbies crashes all the time.
    -Copyrighted user created custom mods ?
    -RoC balance seems off.
    -They didn't remake all the cinematics.

    And for me the worst thing overall, is that I lost the ability to play the classic game.
    First when I bought the game, I knew that the game was full bugs, and it would be the same for the release (due the release date being so close), but I wanted to be supportive yes, I wanted to support Blizzard development. I am not impatient, I was going to wait until they bug fix the game and I had hope that they will take the time to finish it properly(adding cutscenes and the missing features) meanwhile I would have played the original.
    But no, now I can't wait and I don't want to wait because I can't play the original game, is it even leagal ? I mean, I bought RoC + TFT which is one package, and then I bought a separate game Reforged (another package) which are two separate products, and then because I bought reforged they decided that they can delete my access to the original game ? Something I payed for ? Something I OWN ? How can a compagny this big, which used to be so great, make such a bad move...

    Absolutely **** shameful on the part of blizzard to release this. The only thing different are the models which they didn't even create but instead outsourced to some other studio. Also if you make a cool custom game, blizzard owns the moral rights to it so they can use what you create without crediting you. isn't that fun!

    This game fails to deliver what it promised, with a list of features that were in the base game removed without anyone's consent. Blizzard went full-greed and lazy when it came to releasing this title and as a long time fan, I can't recommend anyone buy this game.

    Blizzard killed the game. Not a remake, not a remaster, all but a disappointment to the great Blizzard Legacy. Promises during Blizzcon were cut, lots of bugs and terrible GUI. Don't buy this game. It is T-R-A-S-H.

    The original WC3 was my first blizzard game and I played WOW and HS since then. This new released destroyed my dreams of a new version of my favorite game. I used to buy every HS expansion and skin just to keep supporting. Not buying any more and also I'm selling my shares of $ATVI

    As a big fan of the original series I was thankful for trying to get the game back and make it more comfortable to play in 2020. But they just killed (at least for a while) the game instead(
    My last triggers to write this were a fan made UE4 demo of how it could look like, the destruction of the original on-line game and claim to all custom made scenarios.

    A downgraded game from near 20 years ago. I’ve yet to see which part is actually remastered. I’m not sure how it’s legal to blatantly false advertise like this.

    Warcraft 3 Reforged is not what was advertised or promised. Very disappointed to say the least. Thankfully I was able to get a refund, and suggest if you're not happy to do the same. Just google "How to get Warcraft 3 Reforged Refund" and follow the process, which takes about a minute. Do not let AAA developers get away with this kind of behavior, it's straight up disgusting.

    A very poor and lazy remaster. They promissed new cinematics and ended ussing the same game engine to recreate dialogs. This is just a visual update with the same bugs ans poor animations of warcraft 3

    Thing is, I paid for Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne, and sadly I paid for Reforged back in 2018. So I expect to be able to keep both games. I did not want a merged platform. I wanted a separate gaming experience so that in the event that Reforged does not deliver, I can always revert back and still enjoy the original game.

It was probably the best RTS I have ever played to date. Countless hours playing with friends, climbing in ladder games, and enjoying the custom games. What Blizzard has done to this game is unforgivable and all of it for a quick buck. It's so sadI didn't think it was possible that you could mess up a remastered version of an already almost perfect game. I played WC3 for over 12 years.     I preordered this game and what they showed on their reveal in 2018. is a completely different game than the one we got in 2020. The cutscenes look way worse, the FPS is terrible and many other features were cut.

    This is a scam. Almost nothing that was promised is in the game. The only thing that is here is the updated models, and Blizzard outsourced them. Combine that with tons of bugs, a worse UI than the original and to top it off you cannot play the original game anymore, you can only play this version with the old graphics if you do not buy the remaster. This is the worst remaster ever.

    Wow! What the hell? Blizzard is competing with Bethesda and Take Two for who will take the position of Eletronic Arts as the most greedy company in the gaming industry. I have never seen this level of greed, laziness, incompetence and disrespect in a game since Fallout 76 and the FIFA games.

    Very disappointed with the final product.
    - No new UI
    - No new cut-scenes (just the old ones re-scaled)

    Blizzard continuing the trend of promises not being kept. Reforged ? More like Downgraded. Apart from the new models (which admittedly are nice) they've removed so much from what it once was. Cant even play the old game.

    Blizzard has addressed some of the complaints and criticism hurled its way, and has promised to work on many of these issues. Naturally, one must ask why the game was released in such a state, especially considering the negative attention the company has garnered over the past year with the reveal of Diablo Immortal and the Blizzard/China controversy.

    In the end it’s worth noting that when viewing a remake or remaster what needs to be taken into consideration is the source material, how it looks, feels, and plays. That is, in addition to the work carried out to recreate moments, update visuals, and change any of the presentation. To do otherwise would be silly, a terrible game with a wonderful remaster doesn’t warrant a high score. In the case of Warcraft III, the inverse to that is also true. So, what we end up with is something in-between. A classic reborn, in a package that doesn’t warrant all that much in the way of celebration.

    If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game worth of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more.
