The game has absolutely nothing new. They sold me Diablo 3, only with improved graphics. History is secondary and uninteresting. I didn't really connect with any of the new characters. There is no longer any trust in the Blizzard.

    So the graphics are superb.

The music is good. The sound is excellent. The story is dull and boring (as per Diablo 3). I don't understand how complicated it is to keep a simple story exciting. The story is dull and boring (as per Diablo 3). I don't understand how complicated it is to keep a simple story exciting. The writing, the voice acting, the cutscenes are slow and dull, nothing happening, it's a snooze fest. I ended up skipping a lot of the side story because I cannot stand it at all. It's honestly insultingly bad.

Then let's talk about the most important aspect: GAMEPLAY. Let's say that just like many others, I was falling asleep playing this game. The combat is basic, the skills are mainly reused from diablo 3 and any new ideas just do not have any IMPACT at all. It's all very basic and boring. I've tried 3 different classes so far.

The world map is interesting, but only because it's different than D3, however it's rather "empty" feeling even tho there are plenty of dungeons around. So that saves it, slightly.

The game overall is a bit TOO easy, I played on the "highest" difficulty available in the beginning which is T2, and there's only 2 difficulty options? Really?

UI is a mess, it feels like it was made for consoles yet again, and the PC gets the bottom of the foot. I get a bug where I cannot select on the map and constantly have to reopen it. Selection wheels make me gag. Scrollable tiny little pane for skills while it can fit on the screen. But wait I can enlarge, and once i do I STILL have to scroll. Don't you have PCs Blizzard???

Is this game worth 70 of your hard earned dollars or euros? Given that there are micro transactions AND a battle pass AND how boring the game can be?

    No, it is simply not.

You can stick with a F2P game like PoE which offers about 100x the content, or any other dungeon crawler wether it's 40k, Victor Vram, Grim Dawn, etc.

I really had to challenge myself to review the game properly: NOT to compare it to D3/D2 but compare it to what's out there in the market. And what's out there in the market D4 cannot compare even one little bit on the most important aspect of all: gameplay.

Keep in mind also, this is a BLIZZARD release, a triple A company. My expectations are a lot higher than an indie game developer or early access. If this was an indie game and early access I would actually have enjoy it a lot more.

After several days of playing, I am starting to tolerate it more, and there ARE some fun aspects, like killing hordes of enemies, but I don't want to be forced to play the game for several hours before I actually start enjoying a game. It should be fun from the first hour till the last :)

Combat - 8/10 feels nice and responsive, but suffers from needing to weave generators in which feels really bad later in the game as they hit like a wet noodle, unless you build hard into it, by which point it's your main damage dealer.

Sound design - 7/10, I don't like the music whatsoever, but the sound effects and feeling of impact is good.

Build diversity - 2/10, feels like they made the builds for all classes, gutted them, put some on the skill tree and the rest on legendary aspects.

Endgame - 2/10, same as we had in Diablo 3. Bounties and rifts, now under the guise of open world where you have to travel to your rifts. Helltides on a timer, baiting FOMO and world bosses which are the only semblance of a decent fight yet they get outscaled by you so hard even on the last difficulty.

Art - 10/10, can't really complain here. Zones, armours and skill effects are top notch.

Monetisation - 1/10. Early access for $100, MTX shop (and of course it's always marked as unread in-game, so you notice it, **** mobile game practice) and a battlepass + premium battlepass + accelerated battlepass. Blizzard's greed continues to impress.

First, the roll-out of pre-launch: 'Play up to three days early' was a total grift. Here is how:

I was on the fence about buying this game at all but I bought the $100 (USD) ultimate edition so I could play with my friends pre-launch. After forcing myself to keep with the druid for 2+ hours, I decided I couldn't take it any longer and made a new character.

1 minute log-in queue. 'Ok, not a big deal, it's opening weekend and only 1 minute.'
    ---> 'log-in pending'
---> several minutes later I gave up and tried to log in again hoping it was a bug. I got the exact same result.
---> I then tried closing and opening the game in hopes it was a local bug that could be fixed with a reload of the game.
---> I then got a 24-MINUTE LOG-IN WAIT (there were plenty of people struggling with this same thing, see other accounts of it online). Frustrated, and needing to leave to do other things IRL, I quit.

I decided I would seek a refund. I will again point out that the ENTIRE reason I bought this early, and as an upgraded edition, was exclusively to play with my friends since they are big Diablo fans. Since I could not play it at all, I requested a refund.

I got two different responses from two different people. The first response was due to "one or more products included in this purchase were already consumed." I didn't use any mounts. I didn't put on any cosmetics. All I can guess is that the 'season pass', or something else, was applied immediately upon purchase meaning from the moment of installation the game would be non-refundable.

The second response was actually quite nicely written and kind, but the end result was the same. This time, the reason was I had too much play time. Ok, they have a 2-hour limit for refunds, I get that. Also, I am standing by my point that buying this early to be able to play pre-launch, something they advertised, AND BEING UNABLE TO LOG-IN AND PLAY, should be plenty of grounds for refund. If you went to a movie and the projector quits half-way through the movie you would seek a refund. As we know by now, however, Blizzard doesn't care at all about things like player satisfaction of purchase, enjoyment of the product, etc. so I am out $100 for a game that can't even log-in regularly.

The game itself wasn't terrible (not that great either...), but the way Blizzard handled this was, as usual, lacking any real care about how it impacts the players so long as they got the money and can legally justify keeping it (refusing refunds).

Regarding the gameplay: As others have said, the customization of skills feels less impactful than D3, the customizations are less interesting that D3, and leveling up doesn't feel like it's adding much each time. I found myself respec'ing my skills over and over trying to get some skills I enjoyed. Also, in D3, I loved playing harder difficulty for better drops and XP. In this one, it feels like the next difficulty up takes 2x the time to kill something but only 20% more XP. I had to set it back to 'Adventure' difficulty to make it at all enjoyable and not feel like a miserable grind with boring, monotonous gameplay.

This game may become great as they update, tweak, and change skills. Or, they won't, and it will stay mediocre as it is.

Graphics are decent, story is decent as well. Basically, if this wasn't made by Blizzard it probably would have been more fun, launched properly (10+ years of server issues at launch of several games shows they don't give a s--- about player satisfaction at launch, they've just created an expectation that they will botch up the launch and it's 'ok'), and had people ready to keep throwing money at them. Instead, Blizzard decides to crap all over the good will of their player base yet again with the mentality 'you aren't going anywhere, who cares.'

I am FINALLY going to learn my lesson, late as it is. I will give them no more money ever again. I hope you too avoid this game and anything from Blizzard as every single year they show us that they don't care about us, so why should we keep giving them our money??

UI feels extremely mobile because the game is catered to console users for maximum profit. Further, they're giving us only a few keybinds and they're massive and glued to under your action bar and cannot be turned off.

Stop feeding greed, force AAA game companies to go back to the basics of game design and not

While theDiablo IV, the much-anticipated entry in the renowned franchise, falls disappointingly short of its predecessors and fails to carve its own path. As an ardent fan of the series, it pains me to say that Diablo IV feels like a shadowy imitation of other successful action RPGs, lacking the depth, gameplay, and substance that makes games like Diablo II and Path of Exile so beloved. While the graphics and cinematics stand out as commendable, the overall experience leaves much to be desired.

First and foremost, Diablo IV shamelessly borrows systems from games like Path of Exile and Lost Ark, but disappointingly waters them down. Rather than innovating and introducing captivating new mechanics, Blizzard seems content with imitating without adding any meaningful improvements. This lack of originality and the diluted nature of these borrowed systems fail to evoke the same excitement and engagement as their inspirations.

One of the most glaring issues with Diablo IV is its noticeable lack of gameplay and substance. The game feels like a hollow shell, offering little depth or complexity in comparison to a certain predecessor. Diablo II and Path of Exile set the bar high with their intricate skill systems, diverse character builds, and engaging endgame content. In contrast, Diablo IV feels shallow and fails to provide the same level of depth and long-lasting appeal.

Lazy development practices are also at the fore-front of Diablo IV. One example of this is the level scaling. Whenever your character levels up, all the monsters around you level up too. This can actually result in your character getting weaker whenever you level up.

Repetition quickly becomes a prevalent issue in Diablo IV. The lack of varied and engaging content leads to a monotonous gameplay loop that loses its charm all too quickly. Quests and encounters become predictable, and the lack of meaningful progression or impactful choices dampens the sense of excitement and exploration that should be inherent in any good action RPG.

While Diablo IV's graphics and cinematics deserve some praise for their visual fidelity and production value, they become the sole redeeming features in an otherwise lackluster experience. The haunting atmosphere and impressive visual effects do little to make up for the game's shortcomings in terms of gameplay depth and overall substance.

Blizzard's sales and marketing practices surrounding Diablo IV are questionable at best. The exorbitant pricing for the game is difficult to justify, especially when compared to other outstanding titles like Path of Exile, which offers a superior experience at no cost. The base edition's price tag of $70 and the ultimate edition's $100 price point appear predatory, preying on the loyalty of dedicated fans while failing to deliver a truly exceptional experience. For the same price as the $70 base edition of Diablo IV, you could buy Last Epoch, Grimdawn (plus both expansions), and Torch Light 1, 2 and 3. Not to mention games like Path of Exile and Lost Ark which come at no cost.

Diablo IV feels like the older sibling of Diablo Immortal with a heavy price tag, lacking the ambition, innovation, and passion that fans have come to expect from the franchise. It fails to carve its own identity, leaving players yearning for a fresh and transformative experience that matches the legacy of the earlier Diablo titles.

In conclusion, Diablo IV disappoints on multiple fronts. It imitates successful systems without improving upon them, lacks the gameplay and substance of its predecessors, succumbs to repetition, and relies heavily on its visuals to compensate for its deficiencies. Blizzard's development, sales and marketing practices and the steep price tag only amplify the sense of disappointment. As an avid fan, I can't help but feel that Diablo IV falls short of capturing the essence that made the franchise so beloved, leaving me longing for a more remarkable and memorable experience.

Meanwhile they keep talking about the shop and diablo immortal every time the devs make a video. The new score of 0/10 will reflect that.

A little background for me, I'm an ARPG fan that's played everything from D3 to POE to Lost Ark. I preordered the game because I found the beta to be very fun. I've played to endgame and I'm roughly level 66 but have pretty much stopped playing.

    Graphics: 8/10

The graphics are pretty good. The only major fault I can find with it is that everything is a little too gray. The world is very gory and dark, which I enjoy.

    Sound: 4/10

People regularly comment on how good the music was, but I haven't noticed the music a single time while playing the game for better or worse. The sound effects are decent enough, but nothing really stands out.

    Story: 5/10

The story is mediocre but it's far better than Diablo 3's story. If you don't play a lot of games or read a lot of decent fantasy books (to have a point of comparison) you will probably enjoy the story a lot. The cinematics carry most of the weight and are extremely good. There are issues with characters acting conveniently stupid and dumb deaths in order to move the story along, much like in really **** horror movies.

So let's get to the categories that matter the most in an ARPG, the gameplay.

    Character customization: 0/10

Character customization / building is EXTREMELY boring. Once you hit level 25, you've basically unlocked all the actives your character will ever have. After level 25 all your points will go into passives that give you 5% more damage or mitigate 3% damage from elites, et cetera. You only get TWO major options per spell, which is pathetic even compared to Diablo 3, a game that wasn't renowned for its depth. A lot of times even these options are relatively cosmetic and give minor bonuses.

Paragon boards (endgame skill trees) are 98% just boring stat increases, like +5 intellect, +10% damage vs burning targets, etc etc. It looks interesting to begin with, but you quickly realize that it won't change the gameplay at all and each paragon point you get is barely noticeable.

    Itemization: 0/10

Items are similarly insanely boring. "Legendary" items for my class do stuff like +20% damage while you have a barrier up (which will be 100% of the time,) 20% more damage vs frozen targets (which once again will be all of the time vs trash), and other similar ones. There are a FEW that are interesting for some classes, which is why I'm giving it any points at all, but the vast majority of rares, legendaries, and even uniques are absurdly boring stat sticks.

If you've played POE, the items in this game will not satisfy you at all past ~50 hours played. It gets insanely repetitive and boring. There are very few build defining items. There's nothing for your imagination to work with.

    Combat: 3/10

Combat is repetitive and dull, and a lot of it stems from poor character customization. Combat "feel" in general is a step down from Diablo 3, which felt very, very smooth and impressively flashy. As a sorceress, you get a spell called Blizzard and the AOE is absurdly tiny, like the size of a puddle. You would have to cast it 10 times to fill up your screen. Other skills similarly lack impact compared to many other ARPGs out there.

As of right now the ARPG that has the best combat is probably Lost Ark, and if you want a good idea of the difference in combat between the two games, check out what meteor looks / feels like in Lost Ark vs what meteor looks like in D4.

The amount of time from the announcement to the release, there wasn't just enough time to create the d4 we wanted, if you believe in fairy tails that they were on it for almost 10 years, believe in whatever you want, they saw an opportunity to create a cashcow since fans were asking for a sequel and they probably just used diablo immortal assets and create something new here and there.

The price is well worth it and Diablo 4 is in no shape or form anything bellow exceptional. How Blizzard will manage the game? Lets wait and find out!

Edit: I've decreased my vote to 6/10 because scaling at high levels 80+ is insanely boring even with gg gear and they keep nerfing every single dungeon because some random streamer grinds. Almost all of them are boring as of 12/06/23. They care only about their KPIs.

Edit: Dropped to 5/10, I would originally gave it a bit less but this review bombing is not OK. Reason is the recent patches have been very mismanaged.

Season one sucks. At release I loved the game and got my money's worth of entertainment. When they nurfed everything it took all that time I spent on my character and threw it in the trash. I will no longer be playing this game. I am done.

I will give a rating of "2" only because of the graphics, optimization, cinematics and storyline, otherwise it's definitely a "1" as the worst game in the series.

I liked DIABLO IV. I'm still an inexperienced level 43 Necromancer, but I have already managed to appreciate the overall story, side quests, the atmosphere of certain locations, the charisma of the main characters in the game, the charm of the narrative, the excellent stylistics of the game. My personal rating is a solid 8 out of 10.

Positives: Good story with nice dark atmosphere. Great core gameplay and graphics.

Negatives: Repetitive annoying dungeon objectives. Renown - once its acceptable, cant imagine doing it again. Its gives me WoW Chorelands vibes and that is not good(PTSD trigger). Devs are very fast on nerfing stuff (like mob density in dungeons) but very slow on buffing stuff like higher nightmare dungeons XP gain. Inventory and stash space are terrible and will not be fixed even in season 1. Levelling above 80 feels more like Vanila WoW than ARPG. Drops are also terrible. Did not get single upgrade for like 15 hours. If seasons are anything like this there is zero chance I will play them. Full respec price (talents+paragon) is crazy expensive. I have 40 mill gold and I could fully respec like twice. Which means I cant experiment with my own builds. Have to copy some tested build from the internet and even then have to think twice.

I also dont like paid cosmetic battlepass being exclusive to seasons - first you pay for it, then you have to grind it for 80 hours and on top of that you have to create new character for it. Like what? OW2 has seasonal battlepass which starts and ends with ranked season and yet you can grind it in unranked. No game with paid battlepass forces you to play one specific mode.

This game has huge potential. Like in my original 9/10 review - it can get there. Question is when and if. Right now its like 2 games in one. First one (story+early endgame up to 70 or even 75lvl) is fine. Endgame (80+) is just terrible. Does not respect your time and effort, is repetitive and hollow.

EDIT2: OK, 1.1 patch is up, read the patchnotes, played the game. They somehow downgraded the whole game. Now there is the biggest d**k in the salad. Stinks like WoW BfA and SL. Devs vision is terrible. Game over.

Immersion is frequently broken by the bizarrely high diversity in, for example, a quasi-Russian setting. If everybody is speaking in a Russian accent, they should look Russian. It's fairly obvious that Blizzard is doing what every major company around the world is: cashing in on that DEI / ESG money.

However, the truth is, Diablo IV totally nails it in its own genre. I know people might get confused when it comes to genre of Diablo IV, and I am definitely not a very pro game reviewer, and this is just my own opinion. Diablo IV is now ranked 2nd on my MMORPG list (come afters FFXIV), and the 1st on Roguelike game.

If you have read other negative comments here, and getting worried about if you should get Diablo IV, I'm telling you that Diablo IV has not been treated fairly in this time. If Hogwart's Legacy is getting praised on its openworld design, Diablo IV should earn the same credit too. Although the roguelike nature of this game might limit how player explore the world, once again, they nail it in its own genre.

The initial gameplay feel is still very solid, however.

So if nothing is new, why a 6? Because despite the lack of innovation, the gameplay does still feel really good (Blizzard specialty) throughout the campaign and the single player experience is quite good. It carries the game, really. The story, the characters, the voice acting, the soundtrack, the world itself, all of these were very well done. I really want to highlight the voice acting though. There is dialogue EVERYWHERE in the game, from main quest to side quest to hundreds of little dialogue blurbs that add to the story and each and every time the voice acting is spectacular.

People rating this game a 0 because they're mad about whatever in this game are doing the folks who delivered the single player aspect of the game a great disservice. If you want to play a good campaign in a rich, immersive world, this game is worth it on sale. But as an ARPG, it does fall short, as the 'end game' is shallow beyond belief and also likely to never get better. Don't expect that from this game.

    1) Story - most likely the best on the ARPG market at the moment, it had several weak moments, but overall it's a solid 8/10.
    2) Graphics - best in the genre by far.
    3) Combat - smoothest and cleanest in the genre by far, Blizzard polish.
    4) Build Variety - weak at first glance, much better as you progress to the end game and start dropping particular legendary effects, near infinite possibilities at end game.
    5) Immersion - this cannot be understated, I have never played a more immersive game with a better built world than this, and I've played all other ARPGs on the market, they outdid themselves.
    6) Pacing - slower and more immersive pacing on the contrary of zoom zoom style of D3 rifts and POE mapping, you actually see whats going on on your screen and you're not getting a seizure. Battles feel weightly and impactful. Main reason I love it so much. Note, this changes at the max endgame as the game gets faster, but still nowhere near as POE or D3.
    7) Now for the minus - monetization, extremely greedy box price and store prices for cosmetics, but that's the only problem I see with the game
    8) 0 woke garbage, good marketing, they know their target audience for Diablo.

This is a must buy if you're an ARPG fan.

I don't have a log of the hours that I spent on Diablo 2, but given that I played it consistently for five years, and then on and off for the following fifteen years, I'm willing to bet its well over a thousand hours. Similarly, I invested hundreds upon hundreds of hours into Diablo 3 across multiple platforms. In addition to those, I messed around with several of the Diablo clones over the years - Path of Exile, Torchlight, Titan Quest, among many others. Needless to say, I was beyond excited for Diablo 4. I purchased it on PC and on PS5 to do couch coop with my wife.

I am a Diablo 2 purist, no matter what the series does, I think that is a timeless formula, so I am always a little rough to accept change in the series, even if it takes it in the right direction. Diablo 4 really takes the series to new heights while keeping the same core dungeon crawling, loot hunting, monster slaying concepts. The open world feels very appropriate for the Diablo series without steering off into other MMORPG territories. It keeps the same spirit of the series but it makes the world feel so much more alive. It is difficult to put into words but it is something that you absolutely have to experience for yourself. The world itself is static which is completely new for the series, but all of the dungeons are procedurally generated like you would expect, and it executes it very well. Blizzard made everything feel much deeper than ever before, and they executed it perfectly. I feel almost as if Diablo 3 tried to add this layer of depth, but they needed to test their foundation over a decade to make it work this fluidly. I also like the connectivity with other players - you'll find them in town, you'll randomly come across other players doing an event that you'll link up with for 5 minutes and head your separate ways. It's very nonintrusive and totally adds to the experience.

The character skills development, and overall depth to the gameplay is all there - the more you play, the more you realize how complex the character building really is. Once you think you have it under control, it just adds more and more depth and complexity to it. Its the most fleshed out Diablo experience without a doubt. The great part about it is that you can play it how you wish. The complexity is there if you really want to get sweaty with the game, but there is so much content that even casual players can fully immerse themselves with as much as they feel comfortable with. I really enjoyed playing this with my wife because she largely does not play any videogames, but I managed to hook her with Diablo 3 many years ago. Its complex enough for me to be able to really get into the stats and builds, but straight forward enough where she can create and customize her character on a far more casual level, yet we can play on the same couch and love it the same.

The graphics are fantastic, although sometimes the textures look a little too shiny and wet, and some of the character models in the cutscenes look like clay and a bit out of place, but overall the graphics are fantastic. The music is amazing and very well composed, or perfectly ambient. The story overall is excellent for a Diablo game, but the world building and lore is where its at. There is a ton to dig into if you are wanting to learn more about the world of Diablo, something that the series was always lacking. Most importantly, the world has that gothic art style that was present in Diablo 2, and not the oddly colorful art style of Diablo 3.

Overall, nobody does ARPGs better than Diablo. Nobody. This feels like all of the growth that Diablo 3 experienced and all of their trials and errors are fully realized into this game. I'm still a Diablo 2 purist, they did everything perfect with that game. But if I want to play Diablo 2, I'll play Diablo 2. This was an absolutely necessary step for the franchise and it makes the growing period from Diablo 3 completely worth it.

Leaderboards: Should have been in at launch, they have already confirmed they will be ready for later seasons but this seems like an sad oversight.

Road map: I think that they should have given us the road map for season 1 and 2 at launch. Just look at the silly review bombing that is happening here, it could be 100% discounted if we had a road map the showed exactly what each season's main content would be.

Over-world travel on the mount: The mount itself is just not a fluid as I would like. Stuttering, and rubber-banding on the mount is just frustrating.

    Now for what I love.

The gameplay for each class is INCREDIBLE. Fluid, visceral, varied and just a damn good time. You find yourself going from event to event in the overworld just because of how much fun it is to wade through the monsters with your classes chosen kit.

The story is, perhaps, the best they have ever created. The side quests are utterly enthralling. You will be doing some dumb fetch quest that leads to you questioning how you're raising your kids. Am I as supportive of a father as I think I am? These thoughts have gone through my head multiple times and more while doing SIDE QUESTS!

If the $70 price is too much for you you will not have to wait long for a sale, Blizzard puts games on sale mere months after they come out. Please do yourself a favor and ignore the hate, ignore the store, and just give this game a chance. I promise it will not disappoint.

I am now lvl 72, reaching endgame. I already tried a "meta" build but i swap to another on my rogue based on a bow and it works! It seems that you can really do stuff with a little bit of brain, time, compo and gold. Great game, great H&S, feeling in the game are INSANE.
Not as deep as PoE that's true but i least i don't have to play

it’s genuinely one of the best and most complete triple A releases in half a decade.
I’ve just finished the campaign and done a bit of farming to get to level 51.
-Story - really enjoyed the story for D4 especially act 2 and act 6, there were moments in between that was just filled in with busy work but overall the best Diablo story they’ve ever done -Graphics - Graphics are fantastic

    - Sound - truly the best part of the game the atmosphere created by the audio and music score is insanely good, skill audio feels impactful and the voice acting is generally really good Z
    - Cut scenes - another point that is incredible is how good the cut scenes are, especially as you get to the end of the campaign.

Furthermore the gameplay is highly polished and refined with all skills giving a great feedback and feel to using them. And this game has begun to restore my faith in blizzard as a gaming company. It give me nostalgic feels back to play D3, D2 and even some part D1, in some aspects if also reminds me a little bit of WoW, I see myself continuing to play this game for quite some time, sure there are a few bugs, tweaks and Quality Of Life changes that could be made, but the game just came out, give it a little time. Overall a absolutely stunning game visually and musically, the combat feels nice, if see challenging, but not dark souls hard. 8/10 would recommend this game to anyone who has enjoyed the other diablo games in the franchise.

-Side note, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE GOD DONT ADD ANYTHING MORE THAN COSMETIC MICROTRANSACTIONS EVER!!!! it will destroy the game and my trust in Blizzard forever.

QoL- seperate area in inventory to keep gems
Also either move the Stash close to Waypoints or expand inventory to carry more item, the amount of going back to town and then running across the town can get annoying once you start doing nightmare dungeons and endgame stuff.

Update: I gave it a 8 out of 10, but changed it to 10 out of 10 to balance out all these whiny snowflakes, who have not taken time to understand the game and appreciate all the good parts of it. Yes there is some bad, but I feel like the good parts outweigh them.

-The game itself has absolutely no sense of achievement; it's far too easy - after 5 days of playing I found myself playing on the highest tier of difficulty: Torment. For context this is about as difficult as watching Bambi. There is no endgame - with the right build (not hard to achieve) you can one shot kill most bosses - It's a joke.

Since you can't target farm for anything, gameplay loop is just kill monsters and hope rnjesus favors you. So if you want to play a few hours everyday and have a life, this game is not for you after lvl 50 or so. Imagine playing 2 hours a day for a week and just getting trash everyday, game makes you feel frustrated and make you realize it is a waste of time. Blizzard are good at making hamsterwheel type games, but they don't work if you have a life. If you play a limited amount daily and can't no life this game, then you will never have any functioning builds, just subpar trash. Not for functioning adults, only for no lifers.

They finished the campaign, slapped on a half assed endgame with horrible itemization and shipped it out. Game needs a couple more years in development for the endgame systems but I guess the execs were too greedy and it worked, they earned like 600 mil in a couple days, which is probably more than what poe earned in its lifetime. Based on blizzard's track record, I don't think you can even hope they will fix it, feels like I got scammed. Game is a complete mess with a shiny coat of paint to fool you into buying it. It feels bad that their talented art and sound teams were just used for scamming purposes.

The story and even most side quests are netflix tier bad with all the cringy modern tropes like a self inserted annoying teenager that instantly bosses everyone including the player just because or sidequest where you spend 30 seconds listening to a character sigh and take long breaths to tell you they are dying and you need to fetch some random mcguffin.

The game play feels fine for the first few hours but eventually it boils down to 1 or 2 viable builds and then farming for aspects with the right stats to hopefully put on the right gear ( and hopefully you'll get all this before you switch world tiers or level past the aspect power, this should be fun in theory, but somehow manages to get terribly boring because of the level scaling making you dread leveling up while and at the same time the lack of enemy diversity and boring dungeons ends up feeling repetitive very quickly.

another pain point is the UI, it seems they focused so much on making everything huge and readable so that grandmas could see it that they forgot to let people with normal eyesight customize it back to normal. For example you can choose any bright color outline for every enemy but you cant turn it off making the game feel like im playing LOL, at the same time there's no options for scaling the UI or moving/removing the **** mini map which due to the way the game is designed is the thing you'll be looking at 70% of the time, not the screen not your character, but the damn icons on your minimap.

Finally the last thing I was hoping to enjoy despite everything else was pvp, I knew it wasnt supposed to be balanced or play a huge part of the game, but they still managed to **** it up and design it so it only works for people praying on other people who have no fighting chance against them. It lacks the most basic level matching system, you can be a lvl 40 entering a pvp zone for the first time in world tier 1 and you'll get matched against a lvl 70 player who has been farming equipment from world tier 4 which means entering the pvp zone before lvl 100 is utterly useless unless you enjoy being a gimp.
