Diablo 4, its an amazing game, what else is there to say about it? The charaters and unique, the legendaries were revamped and you can build crazy builds, game looks amazing, gameplay is fun, there isn't much else to say beside this game is amazing

People don't understand that a game start and finish, Diablo is not infinite, you play a character for 100 hours, and it's done. Maybe you can play a different one, but the environment is the same, and so the experience you get. People;e don't understand how the circle of life of Diablo work, you play a bit and done, wait some months and return and repeat.
Fun fact, the people saying it's a **** game is just a minority, considering the amount of sales and current player the game have.

As a life long Diablo fan, I was super hyped for Diablo 4. Diablo 2 may be my most played game of all time. I didn't like Diablo 3 at first but they fixed it over the years and, while it wasn't as good as Diablo 2, it ended up being solid. Diablo 2 Resurrected was fantastic. That said, Diablo 4 just doesn't live up to the hype. The campaign was great and I enjoyed the story. The combatAs a life long Diablo fan, I was super hyped for Diablo 4. I'm here to give an actual honest review, because some people are saying good things about the game and then still giving it a 0 to follow the others who did the same thing.

The game is good, and I easily got 200+ hours out of the game, because it is just that fun. That's more time than I get out of other games near the same price. I'm sure a lot of the people who gave it a 0 had fun, and

I'm sure a lot of the people who gave it a 0 had fun, and probably have just as much time into it, but then when the hate-train came through, their ratings were influenced by the hivemind. Giving the game a 0 is super dramatic and not even deserved. It just shows the herd mentality people have. It does have it's flaws, as does every game. The end game is pretty boring, but the seasons will add more fun and I'm really excited to see what the expansions bring to the table. The game has a great base to build upon for sure. The campaign is great fun, and the story is pretty engaging.

8/10, because it's not perfect but it is good.

Diablo IV is a solid AAA title, and likely a foundation for the next decade of gaming. Plays great on PC or Asus Ally. You should play this game.

Upsides include an open world, and the ability to play with friends regardless of their level, and a system where your gear augments your abilities. Some encounters offer great fun and excitement. Downsides include that leveling up feels like you get weaker compared to the entire world, and that you may be seeking just the higher level version of your current gear, and the open world might need more content to offer more hours of gameplay.

Unfortunately, after completing the main campaign, the endgame might not offer the pull to drive players to want to continue onwards to hit level 90 or 100.

I expect future season and expansions to keep this game feeling fun to those who love the Diablo franchise. A great game that everyone should give a try.

For now poe is a LOT better! The endgame in diablo 4 is a joke and pure grind, no fun, no chase challenge or big item, the ui was made for console and the list goes on and on~

A decent foundation but a serious lack of end game content means that you'll get bored fast, and the first season was a disaster. The developers have lost my trust with some truly bizarre discussions but I honestly hope that they can make the game great one day.

    Original review:
Honestly the game had a great starting point and there was a lot of hope. The story is amazing, the art and world they built is awesome. The gameplay and balance reek of mismanagement and horrific decision making by people motivated by how long people play rather than if the playtime is enjoyable.

They're slowing everything way down and killing the game. They nerf anyway to acquire gear that isn't NM dungeons, buff the amount of gear that drops in them but lower the quality by adding worthless stats that no one is using AND we don't have a loot filter to sort out if anything decent drops...AND we have little to no storage space for saving gear we might want. They don't respect your time or themselves with the changes we've seen. It's a shame to ruin a game that had this much promise.

    It launched as a 6/10 with potential. It's a 0 now.

A great game that has been killed by Blizzards incompotence at the Season 1.1.0 Patch, Microtransactions and a multitude of Pointless Useless Stats.
The moral of the story is don't kill your game with pointless and needless nerfs. I am glad that I waited a few weeks to do the review.

Blizzard managed to create a game so disappointing & frustrating that almost everyone who quits, RAGE QUITS.

I scheduled my G.D. vacation time for the D4 release & 3 days into playing it stopped being fun. I'm still upset. What a scam.

The once great Blizzard North was bought out over a decade ago and none of the brilliant minds still work there at what is now called Activision Blizzard. I didn't know this until after buying D4. Blizzard pumps out flashy games with no substance and puts the Blizzard stamp on it to cash in on nostalgia and utilize predatory in game cash transaction practices. Their games are pure marketing & sales. Look at reviews for any of their games in the last decade. I wish I had.

Don't believe the positive critic reviews or the fake positive reviews masquerading as negative ones. Blizzard pays for those to confuse people

D4 is a good game from a technical perspective but sadly once again terrible in the game design department. For more objectivity, i'll split it in 10 categories:

    Visuals/Cinematics:
The visuals overall are amazing, rich in detail and follow a darker theme like in d1/d2. The cinematics are on par with top quality movies. Blizzard definitely nailed this category and it's probably the strongest argument to buy the game - 1/1.

    Sounds/Music:
The soundtrack in some of the boss fights and/or Towns is top tier quality. Soundeffects are satisfying and overall feel great. This is also an easy 1/1.

    Performance:
I tried to run D4 with an older setup and it still runs pretty decent (60 fps) on low/medium settings. The game also runs good on consoles. Almost zero issues, bugs or crashes so far. D4 stands out positively especially in comparison with other AAA-titles in that regard - 1/1.

    Campaign:
In my personal opinion, the campaign is well designed and has a great finale. Some parts are a bit tedious though and you have to run around too much. Also you can't fight the campagin bosses again later in the game, although some of them were fun to fight against - in summary 0,5/1.

    UI/QoL:
Unfortunately the UI is a weird mix, concipated for mobile phones and/or consoles, which makes it terrible to use on a PC. No search or filter functions, no gem tab, weird emote wheels, aspects all look the same etc. D3 was already miles better in that regard, so this category is a 0/1.

    Combat:
While the combat itself feels fluid and satisfying, the ressource concept of generator generator generator spender is horrible. D3 already made this mistake so i'm baffled Blizzard once again came up with this crap. The vulnerable mechanic is unnecessary and reduces diversity in viable skills and items. Overall 0/1.

    PvP:
The idea of combat zones is nice but it's terribly executed. Lvl 70 get mixed with Lvl 100, solo players get mixed with groups etc. It's generally unfair and unfun - 0/1.

    Character Diversity:
Practically non-existant. You have to follow a pre-determined path and 5 Skill Points in one ability is the maximum. Better than D3, but worse than D2. The paragon boards are a fun idea so i'll give this category a 0,5/1.

    Itemization/Loot:
Honestly if u need to think hard of a preferably terrible itemization you would come up with something like in d4. There's practically no uniques (8 per class), no runewords, no crafting but a blur of useless affixes. Also the stats on everything is hugely inflated already, so expect billions of damage like in D3. 0/1

    Endgame:
Nothing innovative to see here. Tree of Whispers are dumbed down bounties, Dungeons are boring and plagued with annoying tasks, Helltides are recycled Terror Zones from D2R. World bosses get zerged after 1 Minute. Expect to be bored at Lvl 70, or even at Lvl 60. 0/1

So overall, it's a 4/10 for me and thus nowhere near the "professional" reviews. Season 1 has to fix a lot things, or the game could die quickly.

Edit: Season 1 actually doesnt fix anything but makes the game worse, so i changed my rating to 2/10

    But it's not enough.
-The grind between fun moments and downtime is made needlessly harder by bugs or design choices. Blizzard are taking months to fix the stash tab issue meaning you spend less time playing and more time in a menu.
-Several characters are far weaker than others with players quitting or switching classes as a result of balance changes to their character.
-Big red BUY NOW button directly below the seasonal boons, flashing store on the in-game menu, ads when you open the client to play the game. (not added to score, but for me makes it a 4/10)
-Having to redo side quests and unlock teleports every season is circus tricks for content.
-The expected late game is bare bones.

Imho the most enjoyable gameplay is playing 3 characters on eternal realm and 2 on the seasonal realm, until early lategame (60-80).

I would recommend this game only if you know about this upfront because it is quite pricy and had less content than people expected given they have 20+ years experience making this type of game.

All bugs, glitches and laggy connections about 70% of the time, they found a new way to create repetitive boredom. It's pretty much the same game as diablo 3, with a bit of flash, and much harder. It is cool that the talent/ability system is very customizable, but its very difficult to find a combination of abilities that work well. Also, the enemies have infinite long stuns and fears. Their cool downs are way quicker than the players, and it doesn't seem that there is any diminishing returns for the player. The enemy is immune to stuns for a while pretty much after the first stun. It's just not fun to repeatedly be stunned until your dead, then have to walk all the way from the beginning of a dungeon every time you die. It's just annoying and has no purpose to the game. It's also very difficult to get gear good enough to beat any dungeons of any kind. As you slowly get gear that is better (you rarely get better gear after a certain point) the enemies get harder every time you level, so they usually stay ahead of you. It makes jumping to the next tier incredibly annoying and difficult. The PvP is just terrible, and they make you have to participate to finish the season missions. In short, the game is just way too hard for a game this repetitive and boring. There's no feeling of accomplishment. The company needs to stop focusing on new ways to charge their customers and focus on improving the game content.
08/20/23 - I took a week or 2 break from the game to try to let them at the very least fix some of the bugs. Not only on my first event that I attempted did it bug out and I was unable to get the points for completing it, but it was also immediately and continuously still laggy to the point of effecting being able to play. Every time I hit a lag spike, when it fixes itself, I am swarmed and have to use every cooldown just to try to survive. I do thank them though. This game was so disappointing, I voluntarily decided that doing yard work was more fun and rewarding then this game. I now know that they have gotten so obsessed with nickel and dimming every chance they can, and that their games are just so repetitive and boring with the absence of any feeling of accomplishment, it's not worth the money or time you put into it. I actually have gotten a lot of projects around the house I was too lazy to do. My house looks great. I feel great. And I'll never have to throw $100 away on a game that feels like work anyway. So thank you again. This is obviously just my opinion, but I'd listen to me. Take care all.

-Art and graphics - 10/10 ( Art and graphics feels really good and gave me a feeling of connection with this realm, graphic engine is smooth maybe isn't cutting edge but it has to work on consoles as well because its money on the end of the day :_

-Sound and music - 7/10 ( The sounds for me was good overall, it didn't stand out like in Diablo 1 or 2, or games like Lineage2 or Frostpunk or Doom May 13, 2016 and many others which gave me so much goosebumps that I still remember the music and dialogues )

-Multiplayer - 1/10 ( it might as well be solo game with bots running around )

-Customization - 1/10 ( in 2023 this kind of customization might as well call it diablo immortals reloaded, messy aspect system because of the items drop, there is no random feeling of luck for progression items, there is no feeling of "i might get the best item in the world today" because of how item drop generation system is designed, I just didn't care about items I saw on the ground anymore in the end )

-Realism - 4/10 ( Art and sound make up for this score but items and lack of connection with my character struggle through out the whole game makes it disappointment overall )

-Playability - 1/10 ( games gets very boring after completing story line )

My personal feeling about this game 3/10

Which gave me overall score of : 3.857142857142857 so i will rounded to " 4 "

    Personal note:
I do respect all the people who worked really hard and cared about this game to be perfect in any sense,
And I do appreciate all the time you invested to try, however if games like this with budget like that are failing its mainly because how little of passion and dedication is allowed to shine through the end project when titles like that are created only because investors is all that maters on the end of the day.
So if by any chance you are content creator please don't feel discourage by my comment,
Just try to find a better company a team of people which are respecting ideas and are open minded while also being working on the project with passion and dedication, only then you find yourself among people worthy of your time.

While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.
