As many others I was extremely excited for 1.1 pre-season patch notes. Now as many others I probably won't touch the game until Blizzard fixes their **** The pre season patch notes were supposed to hype up the first season, not suck the life and all the fun out of it. I'm currently done and over with this company.

Now everyone say it with me. **** YOU BLIZZARD!

Atleast the blizzard devs listened to me more than what my parents did. I believe they made their damage buckets so convoluted that they don't realize how it all works. Instead of patching for balance they patched for frustration.

Played D2 and Path of Exile for years prior to D4, so you could say I have an ample amount of experience to review D4. Recently, I had that thirst to play a good ARPG and D4 was the first choice. I was wrong to set my expectations high--or even at the minimum, As things currently stand right now, D4 has become a generic, bland, content-lacking, and linear game.

Outside its cinematics and combat mechanics, D4 has failed to offer something new--something to keep players wanting to play more. Instead of listening to its player base, the team/s behind D4 push/es their own goals and thoughts for the game, alongside the business model they're trying to promote; That is, they're making players NOT WANT TO PLAY MORE, but PLAY MORE--a philosophy aligned with their business model that is to milk every cent as much as possible from players, hence slower gameplay, slower progression.

But they will not be getting any cents! The time has come for players to unite and show these **** pigs who don't even play their own game that we are not their cash cows, and that our voices are pertinent to the development and success of the franchise.

I held off on reviewing until the first large patch and it only reinforced my concerns. Most classes experienced a 30-50% nerf to their damage - reducing the pace of the game even further - and nearly none of the quality of life or class balancing requests have been addressed (lol sorcs). This game reeks of corporate greed and it's clear their intent is to find the minimum threshold their playerbase will tolerate without uninstalling. Well, sad to say they overshot their estimate and the community has responded accordingly. Expand

I pre-purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition for 89.99. Mainly becasue of the scammy "Start 4 days earlier" and because of the peer pressure. Campaign was good. Reached 100 level. Never logged in again. Game was boring from level 80. I was waiting for fixes and content in Season 1 start, but the patch notes were an April Fool's joke. I should probably uninstall it now and never play it again.

This game started out okay, but it seemed like it was in a promising state to be improved upon over time. But this is Blizzard.

Despite bugs, an unfinished and badly written linear story that's only intended to slow down leveling, a prewritten fake username submitted Q&A for a dev stream, and highly requested improvements from the start, people were wrongfully comfortable with the problems described below before they worsened, and were excited for a new Diablo game (even comparing how good the release was to how terrible D3 was).

This game caught the attention of most of my friends that play games. Over 90% of my friends list (casual gamers and hardcore gamers alike) were playing it consistently each night for the first month, which is rare considering limited free time and how many new games there are to choose from.

Besides what was mentioned above, terrible itemization, lack of common sense quality of life implementation or social features, and over-the-top conditional affixes were main complaints and have been mostly ignored or shelved for empty promises to be added 4-6 months from now, when exploits caused from their patches are fixed within hours.

The problems and worsening of gameplay have only grown larger over time due to unfixed broken builds (and a month-long blinding blight animation bug on necromancer that made partying with them undesirable), skills being nerfed or gutted to the point where they're unquestionably useless or outright removed from classes, a loot table that drops majority of items intended for people 20-30 levels lower than your current level, level caps, enemy density reductions, reduction of xp earned, increase of cooldown reductions, reduction of the main aspects that determine damage, and nerfing damage and damage reduction while buffing enemy damage in game-wide patches to "compensate for powerful" seasonal mechanics that don't equally empower players (especially nonseasonal characters that can't access seasonal mechanics, rendering all nonseasonal players' build options completely useless).

Resistances to elements were added and even expanded on items and aspects, but they admitted that it's completely broken and would not resist anything by the time you have died, and fixing this problem was stated to take multiple seasons to resolve.

Before the 1.1 patch, Lvl 120 bosses in nightmare dungeons were easier to kill than the Lvl 100 "pinnacle boss", and now they're both out of the question.

Hardcore mode was already out of the question due to bugs and server problems that could delete your character without any fault of the player.

This only shows that Blizzard believes unneeded intentional slowdowns, limits of stash tabs, more limitation on viable builds for a game that has a higher complexity of possible builds, and inconveniences are more important to prevent players from having fun while slowly grinding the same 30 dungeons monotonously from lvl 50 to lvl 100 for an endgame that does not exist.

It seems like a team of people that don't play the game at all have completely ignored all feedback while lying that they were paying attention to feedback, instead looking at spreadsheets to find and remove the most popular meta mechanics that their development choices shoehorned players to gravitate towards without making anything viable to choose to play, not to mention completely gutting any capability to play or enjoy Sorcerer class MULTIPLE TIMES. The balancing team is not creating balance, they're making the game unbearable to enjoy across all classes and builds.

Despite experiencing all of Blizzard's previous terrible games, I made an exception to purchase this game due to the baseline of quality they presented during multiple beta tests and preseason gameplay, but Blizzard does not value the time and money spent, feedback, or enjoyment of its customers.

My friends that played this game every day for the first month were excited for Season 1, but since the latest patch notes have already stated they've lost hope and have moved on to other games, and the game's reddit is on fire.

I'm not hopeful for the "campfire" dev stream that is scheduled one day after the new season starts with these new changes, and I'm moving on to indie games from passionate developers that listen to their customers' feedback rather than spoonfeed "this is what's good for you" decisions.

The new state of this game further cements the fact that current and future game quality from AAA developers will continue to decline due to leadership that have no interest or passion in gaming besides how quickly it brings money in, and how quickly developers can release a game with depressing alpha quality state.

I was loving the game but the absolute trash of an update for Season 1 feels like a game killer. D4 needed some tweaks and balances, but this update nerfed everything to the point that the game will feel extremely tedious to play.
I will continue to update my review once I see how the developers handle the latest changes.

What was anticipated to be a triumphant return for the series has instead become a tragic reminder of the developers' lack of understanding and disregard for their loyal player base.

It's clear that the developers have turned a blind eye to the overwhelming criticism. Glaring issues pointed out by players remain unaddressed, and it's apparent that the devs are more interested in pushing their misguided vision than in delivering a game that resonates with fans.

Diablo 4 stands as a testament to the incompetence of its developers and the devastating consequences of ignoring player feedback. It's a tragedy to witness a once-beloved franchise brought to its knees by the very people entrusted with its revival. As a long-time fan, I can only hope that the developers take this as a hard lesson and reevaluate their approach, but until then, I advise anyone to steer clear of this catastrophic failure.

The game after level 60 is not to be satisfied. Overall the game is played for nothing. Level scaling does not reflect the increase in power. Itemization is very poor. Item to skill balance is lacking. Technically better than D3, but same crap. I prefer D2.

Don't buy if you respect your time, they don't look at what's fun, they look at numbers. If they see 100% people are using a single Sorc spell their small brains asume that as "That must be overpowered" instead of just looking deeper into the class and realizing that every other skill sucks.

    - Also i got spectral (horse skin) like 20 time and i can't do **** with it cause it's account bound. WHY? I already have it...
    - The Skill Tree is absolutely pathetic. You have like 6 skills which 4 of them are garbage without damage or any good bonus. Yeah so everybody use the same stupid build. There is no diversity.
    - Aspects are piece of trash. Half of them are not interesting or useless and the good ones just got nerfed to hell.
    - But don't worry we made some new aspect for you to enjoy like 20-40 % movement speed when you moving AWAY from slowed or chilled enemies.... oh my god is this a **** joke?
    - No kill count
    - No gold count on pick up
    - No counter of destroyed things (There is a achievement for it) but i can't see how many things i destroyed... yep
    - No counter for killing spree
    - You have to make a new characters to stash your items... in cause you don't want to scrap/sell your stuff cause why the **** not
    - No stash search bar.. when pretty much every item looks the same yeah it so much fun to spend 20 minutes searching for what you need.
    - nearly a hundred and **** fifty dungeons but everyone of them feels the same good job
    - Yeah and for anyone wondering in the endgame you only doing like 3 of them cause the rest is a **** garbage without mobs ZERO EXP and loot just a waste of time.
    - Hellties are good only for gear once you get decent items its a waste of time again
    - Tree of Whispers is a joke droping level 15 sigils for T3 on 90+ levels... ??? XDDDD
    - Boss battles are about who can kill it faster and say im **** tired of this bull**** i quit (It's like 3 bosses all the time)
    - I had a hard time to understand which stats are better is it overpower ? is it vulnerable? is it critical damage? is it psychical damage or all damage... come on guys
    - Where are runes you promised?
    - Where is some kind of dmg dummy ?
    - Why do i have tab for materials but not for gems ? And why you can only stack them to 50 pieces????
    - It's currently patched but why cap materials to only 10k?
    - You can respect all skills at once but not paragons... why? You have to click every single one of them to start again holy **** **** that's just so depresing.
    - No addons maybe?
    - You have to go to 3rd party websites to check when is going to be another WB, Helltide or Legion... why?
    - Im not a fan of the one item one slot thing. I know it's hard to code this i made my own inventory in my own game but how does it make sense to have 50kg double hand to take same space as a ring.. why is it have to be so simplified?
    - It's pretty much pointless to go out of town and do anything besides ND and now it's even worse, much worse. You don't get any EXP nor a better loot.
    - Talking about loot is it just my or is this crap so boring? How can rare item be rare when it drops 20 thousand **** times with the same boring stats over and over again. Look at Diablo 2. You drop white **** shield with only +15 enhanced defense and who knows it's good af. No you drop "rare" click 5 times add aspec there you go. You little crafter theres your achievement. This just make me so sad, so depresing. It's like for people with 20 IQ to feel good.
    - Side quests besides the "story" ones are just boring. pretty much everybody skips them and the "reward" is a just a pathetic so bad you want to kill yourself after. Yeah, there you go, you spent 20 minutes doing this now you can have 1 **** VEILED CRYSTAL. xDDDD What are you smoking guys
    - The amount of gold for stat rolls on items can get to astronomical numbers to the point when its just better to drop the item again
    - Cursed shrines/chests/wells can be real good or another crackhead story. Sometimes it's rly good, so much mobs you can't see **** over all the effects etc. And sometimes it will spawn 3 demons and 1 sucubus. You would expect to spawn more mobs in higher waves. No next time you get 3 demons and 2 sucubus. I don't know what to say. People who designed this should be fired. I skip these, waste of time.

    - Cobwebs are invisible have fun getting stuck every 5 meters
    - F you im done

This while not improving major problems with the game. Season 1 due to the changes looks to NOT be shaping up to be a fun experience.

This game may improve in the future but I'm basing my review off it right now. I may come back and see if Season 2 actually provides us some necessary improvement (resistances?) and quality of life changes improves the fun of the game, but right now it's not fun for me.

Diablo 4 - Hellishly Underwhelming Disasterpiece!

Oh boy, where do I even start with Diablo 4? It's like they took all the excitement and joy of the previous games and banished it to the darkest corner of the underworld. I mean, I expected a game that would have me burning with excitement, but all I got was a burning sensation in my eyes from rolling them so hard. First off, let's

Oh boy, where do I even start with Diablo 4? It's like they took all the excitement and joy of the previous games and banished it to the darkest corner of the underworld. I mean, I expected a game that would have me burning with excitement, but all I got was a burning sensation in my eyes from rolling them so hard.

First off, let's talk about the graphics. You'd think with all the time they took to develop this game, they could have at least made it look visually stunning. But nope, it's as if they hired the artists from the early 2000s and told them, "Hey, let's make this game look just as outdated as possible!" It's like playing a game from the past, but without the nostalgia to make it enjoyable.

Now, don't even get me started on the character customization. I thought we were living in the future, but apparently, in Diablo 4, character creation is stuck in the Stone Age. Your choices are basically limited to "Generic Warrior #1," "Generic Warrior #2," and "Generic Warrior #3." It's like they hired a group of clones to design the characters, and they all decided to be as bland as humanly possible.

And the story? Oh, it's a rollercoaster ride, alright. A rollercoaster that goes straight down into the pits of disappointment. It's as if they took a copy of the plot from Diablo 3, scribbled all over it, and called it "original." I won't spoil it for you, but let's just say you'll be yawning your way through the supposedly "epic" cutscenes.

Oh, and the loot system. Remember how exciting it was to find those epic legendary items in the previous games? Well, in Diablo 4, you'll be lucky to find a rusty spoon and a pair of old socks. The loot is so underwhelming that even the NPCs in the game seem to pity you when you show them what you've got.

But wait, there's more! Let's talk about the glitches and bugs. I've seen more bugs in Diablo 4 than I've seen in a termite-infested house. It's like they hired a team of insects to do the coding. Game-breaking crashes, disappearing items, and enemies stuck in walls like they're trying to escape this train wreck of a game.

And don't even get me started on the exploits, since day 1 the game was exploited massively by all the bugs found in the game. Fixed? Well yeah, after everybody abused them and nobody got punished. Imagine spending 300-400 hours in game to grind a working set for your build and overnight the build gets nerfed so badly to the ground that you need several minutes to kill the first pack of elites in any dungeon you enter. Was so satisfying… NOT!

In conclusion, Diablo 4 is a fire that even Hell itself couldn't muster the enthusiasm to fuel. It's a game that seems to have forgotten what made its predecessors great and instead opted for a soulless, glitch-ridden catastrophe. Save your money, spare your sanity, and go play any of the previous Diablo games instead – you'll thank me later. Hell, you'll thank me now.

Why the need to nerf everything fun? They want you to waste your precious time and money grinding forever without even fixing critical problems that users are complaining since the early gaming days and yet they focused on stripping everything off from what we loved about this game.

But what started as a success soon became a baffling and frustrating experience for the player base.

The Diablo 4 team, dissatisfied with how players were engaging with the game they had created, began to implement drastic changes. Data mining player behavior, they initiated a series of continuous alterations that shifted the gameplay experience in the opposite direction from even where it was at launch.

Classes were nerfed, Mob density was reduced, XP gains were slowed to a crawl, and It felt as if the players had become nothing more than data points, mere rows in an Excel spreadsheet, with their preferences and playstyles disregarded.

Players had essentially paid to beta test a game, only to have the rug pulled out from under them as the developers unilaterally decided to reshape the game in a way that did not align with player interests. The community's enjoyment and investment were seemingly irrelevant as the game underwent transformation after transformation.

What could have been a transparent dialogue between developers and players turned into a one-sided conversation where the voice of the community was ignored. Trust was broken, and a sense of betrayal permeated the player base.

The graphics, sound, and potential depth of "Diablo 4" became overshadowed by this erratic development process. It's challenging to invest time and energy into a game that feels like shifting sands.

In its current state, "Diablo 4" serves as a stark reminder that player engagement and loyalty cannot be taken for granted. A game's success is built not only on strong mechanics and captivating storytelling but also on a respectful and symbiotic relationship between developers and players. Without that, even the most promising titles can lose their way and their audience. "Diablo 4" sadly stands as a testament to this truth, a once-promising game brought low by a lack of communication, empathy, and respect for its community.

When loot sucks, when they nerfed everything in the patch and classes aren't unique and you can only play one

It's just dumb and a total waste. Very lazy vision with this game and it deserves all the crap reviews it is getting.

No gem tab at release? FAIL

Stupid mount mechanics that make having a horse more of a pain in the butt than just building a character with high movement speed? FAIL

No real customization with classes that forces you to play one way? Mega FAIL

Crap loot after level 50 that just forces you to farm just to farm? FAIL

No real good end game after the campaign world tier 4? Lazy and big FAIL

Over complex paragon board and under complex skill tree? FAIL

Stat boosts like strength for a Barbarian or Intelligence for a Sorcerer actually meaning something? Pointless and FAIL

I could go on and on but overall, but just **** you Blizzard and your team of beta cuck losers who designed this game. You should be killed at gun point in public for just wasting everyone's time with this shameless cash grab that doesn't even resemble a finished product.

A necromancer class that isn't even viable summoning minions? Blizzard could have paved the way to next-gen, but fell short of even providing basic functionalities like a matchmaking system for a multiplayer game.... lol. They didn't even fix balance issues based on Beta data or a test realm. They are patching imbalances using paid player's time. They release a massive power nerf to get players to buy a battlepass and regain the powers they took away. Oh and don't forget the treasure goblins don't even have a treasure realm to enter anymore haha. We loved that, but now they just drop more useless loot. The player in the dungeons or in the open world are slow and suffer from widespread lag or rubber banding (stuttering). The mounts also get stuck on every little thing. The overpriced cosmetic items in the paid shop are awfully designed and silly looking. Even the main story was boring and felt rushed to a sudden end. The hardest boss in the game takes a ton of preparation and time to defeat and gives garbage loot as a reward. Nightmare dungeons (like greater rifts perhaps) are useless past tier 50, reward for effort are gone after that point. In summary, I stuck it out with this game because I loved diablo 3, for a few weeks past when my friends already quit playing. Diablo 4 Season 1 patch was so bad, the playerbase feedback about what they don't like (Give me back my Vulnerable Damage!) is being construed as "review-bombing" and "petty" by shills and development management. You can plainly see this by observing the Critic Reviews Score vs. The User Reviews Score; People who were paid to write positive reviews did exactly what they were paid to do, while Users who actually will play the game post launch have some obvious problems with the changes made for Season 1 and the base game itself (Example: only four stash tabs, with no increase for season 1).
It's not review bombing if the "patches" or base game ranges from low-tier trash to tolerably mediocre.

While it retains the atmospheric dark-fantasy aesthetic and haunting soundtrack that were the strengths of its predecessors, Diablo IV fails to carry the torch in more substantive aspects.

The greatest disappointment lies in the game mechanics themselves. The depth of character customization, one of the core appeals of Diablo III, seems to be stripped down, instead opting for a rigid and uninteresting class system. The diversity and adaptability that once gave Diablo its replay value now lies buried, replaced by an oversimplified mechanic that undermines the core experience.

Gameplay becomes even more frustrating due to the myriad of bugs that continue to plague Diablo IV despite numerous patches. From crashing servers to a seemingly endless list of technical issues, the game's execution comes across as unpolished, almost amateurish.

Diablo IV also stumbles in its inclusion of East Asian themes, which feel out of place and inconsistent with the series' established aesthetic. The incorporation of these elements feels disorienting and disjointed, betraying the traditionally dark medieval, gothic ambience that fans have come to love. It's as if in trying to cater to a broader global market, namely China, Diablo IV loses its roots, its identity. The once-respected Blizzard seems more interested in broad market appeal and profit maximization than maintaining the thematic integrity of Diablo. The end result is a confused hodgepodge that feels less like a Diablo game and more like a mercenary cash grab, further underscoring that Diablo IV is not worth its weight in gold.

The overpriced in-game purchases are not justifiable by the provided content. Moreover, the game's initial hefty price tag is a slap in the face to the long-time fans of the Diablo franchise, who have been promised a game experience that Diablo IV does not deliver.

The story, once a strong suit of the Diablo franchise, is woefully underwhelming in Diablo IV. The plot lacks depth and the storytelling is haphazard. It feels more like an attempt to recreate the success of the previous installments, without capturing what made those narratives compelling in the first place.

Under the new ownership, Blizzard seems to have shifted its focus away from producing quality games for its fanbase. This should give gamers pause and question the ethics behind where their money is going.

In summary, Diablo IV feels like a shell of what it could have been. It's a watered-down, bug-ridden, over-monetized shadow of its glorious predecessors, caught in the jaws of corporate greed and negligence. It is a hard pill to swallow for long-time fans of the franchise and it's a regrettable introduction for new players. Despite the hype, Diablo IV is not worth its exorbitant price tag. It's a bitter disappointment for those who expected Blizzard to revive the brilliance that once was Diablo.

Very polished campaign to fool outlets into giving the game high scores
-Extremely grindy. Far more so than the previous games. It's like they took everything they learned from Diablo 3, threw away that knowledge, and decided to make the same mistakes again.
-They took the kinds of RNG that people hated in D3, and increased it 10x. -Utterly stupid endgame design. Imagine world of

Bought the game. Got 1 rogue to 100. 1 sorc and 1 druid to 70.
Graphics are fine but in 2023 that doesn't matter for me.
The game is bad, worse than all other diablos. It's OK until lv 25 but then the game becomes annoying/boring. The crafting system is bad and too simple. Paragon is just raw stats, doesn't change the gameplay in any level: More regen/res/damage only. I don't like

I don't like every monster level in the game being the same as yours almost all the time. You level up and become weaker because monsters receive more than you.
There is such a low number of classes and builds to pick (and almost all of them are the same from past games). All the characters work the same way (use skill to generate resource to use main skill). You just don't have any purpose to grind that annoying leveling: the events are not that cool and don't give specific rewards. Why kill lilith if she doesn't have a chance to drop something good?
    Now the worst part:
The feel that the devs are just messing progression so you don't progress and stay in the game more time because QoL was attacked. No map overlay (D1 in 2000~ had map overlay). Nerfs on characters there are already feel clunky in a slow paced game. Nerfs xp by nerfing dungeon. Nerfs on aspects.
No trade system at all. No solo option for leveling that is close to group playing. No matchmaking or some party finding system. No clan activities. Tons of "shops/crafters" and most of them are far from portal.
And s01 most of these problems stays or are worse while I expected some improvements in the game.

boring and empty game when you finish the build there is nothing to do. there are too few skills, there are more in diablo 3. diablo 3 is definitely more fun than diablo 4. each skill costs too much resources the dungeons are empty, boring and always the same. It's all wrong, believe me I had more fun on farmville.

This game was released unfinished, unbalanced, full of bugs, and severely underwhelming for a AAA game company who already has experience in ARPG's.

First time to post a review for a game:
They want to instruct you on how to play the game, and you are not permitted to play it in your own style.
They alter the game content according to their imagination without any testing
They are unable to resolve the major bugs.

No I am not your Alpha tester. The only good thing about this game is the cinematics. They could've easily make it a great game by implementing the Diablo 3 RoS systems, but instead made it a laggy boring time sink mess.

I feel like Blizzard don't care if the Diablo 4 is good or not. They just want to sell the game and make some money and then forget about it. Don't buy this game.

Unfortunately, this is garbage. This is a game without a soul, there is absolutely nothing to do in it. You just click and click and click on the target. and that's It! This was the last Blizzard game I paid for. I rocked 2 characters up to level 100 just because I paid 90 euros for the game. Don't waste your time, better buy Baldur's Gate 3

Feels like this game has features to mentally imprison you
To keep an addiction going. It has no challenges, it only has a grind, it has no variety in goals, just ways to grind extremely repeating.
I cant say this is a game, more like a brain prison thingy. Break free. This is my first review ever, and i just want to warn others. Played all 3 Diablo games. And im worried if companies can

Same sentiment as all the other disappointed fans. Years in development for a game with nothing to do in it.

The game feels like a beta, not actual finished game. Diablo IV lacks any content from start. Every character that you will create after finishing campaing will feel the same (you will do the same activities).
Seasons are not worth any time and effort cause it still feels the same. Build variety doesnt exist in this game. almost all uniques are useless. Lvl scaling ruins progression

Battlepass is a joke in a 90$ game just like any other microtranscations. Game will get better after 20 seasons and 2 dlcs. For me Diablo IV is a waste of time and money

I'd love to give diablo 4 a higher rating based on what they did well, but I can't.

    Why can't I? Because I can't log in. Again.

Because every single action I take is disgustingly laggy in a game that could have been awesome offline.

Remove the only requirement and I'll praise that the game actually intended to well, until then, I'm sorely disappointed.

There are so many better, MORE FUN, LESS **** ARPG's out there to play. Avoid this one. This game has major problems. Fundamental problems that won't be resolved for years.

I’m baffled by this game. I’ve got about 150 hrs of playtime. It was a blast playing through the campaign. Then endgame grinding started around level 50, and really slowed down around 70. I started to get bored around level 85 since everything was so slow to level up. After about 3 weeks, they release a patch that boosts experience for nightmare dungeons and other endgame activities. I can actually see my xp bar move now. They buff and tweak a bunch of things. So far so good.

Fast forward to day before S1. Global xp nerf. Global defense nerf. Global damage nerf. What?! Prior to this patch, my level 100 rogue was clearing Tier 50-55 nightmare dungeons easily. I could push to 60, but that was sketchy and I died a lot. Post patch I try the lowest tier NM I have on hand: 51. I die 4x and am kicked out of the dungeon within 3 minutes. Wow. I crafted and tried a 45 next. Died twice and barely made it through. I don’t get it. I’m not pushing tier 100 and crushing it easily. I haven’t even killed Uber Lilith yet. Sure, I play 20-25 hrs a week, but I’m by no means elite. I only have a single 100 character. The game became objectively less fun. For what?

I speculate that the team that worked on Season 1 realized their content wasn’t well balanced and wouldn’t keep players engaged for 3 months, and instead of addressing the issues in the season, they simply slowed down the game and made it harder. Meh.

Great fun until you realise the endgame is just rinse and repeat, not get the gear you want sell/trash it, try again. The S1 patch was the worst, a build that was "working" is now useless. As for the lesser spotted "ultra" unique items, they are only for the NA and Asian markets as the EU was asleep when they went into drop "overdrive" (~140ish).

On the surface it is the spiritual

On the surface it is the spiritual successor to D3 but really it is just not fun to never get the gear your build needs. Then having to tweak a bit of gear makes the gold tap go into overdrive!

Avoid if you've not got it already.

Worst loot system ever done in an ARPG.
    No qol whatsoever.
Worst mount ever done in a video game.

Just try any other ARPG out there and don't waste your time.

Diablo 4 disappoints on multiple fronts. The forced level scaling removes the thrill of challenge, while the lackluster story fails to engage. Epic moments are non-existent, and the insipid side quests hold no significance. The game's misdirected priorities towards microtransactions overshadow its potential for greatness. Morally bankrupt and manipulative. If you're buying this for nostalgia reasons, don't... This is not made by Blizzard, it's made by some corporate suits that bought the name and has been running it through the mud for over 10 years.

There is a silver lining though, you can play Baldur's Gate 3 right now!

While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.

The best Blizzard launch in a long time and a worthy game to be called Diablo.
