    This is downfall of Blizzard as we know, Blizz will not die or smth, it will just sift player base to fanboys and kids who still live with mothers and the only dopamine they got is from dropping 800iLVL 2h sword from a spider. Because a normal person doesn’t work for 5-12 hours a day just to get one dopamine molecule.

    We are idiots to buy this game. It’s time to move on. This company is dead; it will never again make a good game. There won’t be an amazing game like W3, D2, WoW (first 2-3). That’s it. They’re a bunch of woke 20-25-year-old super cheap labor working who don’t even finish a single game from the ones mentioned above.

    The loot is abismally boring... in a loot centric game. I enjoyed even D3 a lot more. I also found the story very weak too.

    The campaign: start was great, middle was very forgettable, last part was great.

    The gameplay: pretty boring The skills feel super limited and quite boring, some of the shrines provide fun skills for a very short amount of time, but the skills themselves are really quite boring.     POE although complicated is fast, and makes you feel like a god.
    Last Epoch even in pre-release/open beta has a better feeling combat system, faster gameplay, more rewarding progression, and snappier servers.

    Should you buy it?

    Huge range of issues from resistances being borked, off screen one shot kills on players, lag, and a battle pass that was no where near the value. Only decent clothing for you hero is in the store for over $25AUD per item.

    The battle pass cost an extra 30 on top of the base price and did not contain any decent cosmetics or emotes truly stingy. Needs on top for the season makes the time to level extremely bad to keep time played for shareholder quotas indicators. Limited color palette for dying cosmetics is just horrible.    … Expand

All of this makes playing this game extremely boring and tedious to the point when you log in and cant keep your eyes open for longer than couple of minutes, because theres nothing to do anyway.

    - I dont uderstand the MMO aspect of this game because there is nothing to support this
    - I dont like level scaling
    - I preferred separate acts in previous Diablo games
    - Trading basically doesnt exist
    - QoL features in this game are abysmal

    One think that I learn over this last decade with games is that better belive the users score and not some so called 'Influencer game journalist'.     This game was decent through the campaign, but I could not get through the mid 60's without feeling like I literally was running the same things over and over and over. Leveling after the 50's took too long, and before season 1 started I took a break. I figured I'd come back to it once the season started.     The art is great, the campaign is pretty good, but the end game is so bad, the itemization is bad, the game has a TON of bugs even months after release, half of the mechanics make no sense, most fun builds aren't viable, can't even fight the campaign bosses again after the campaign is done... This is why I love NS beacuse you are not able to waste the money in graphics. Diablo4 is more like Diablo Immortal than classic Diablo. Multiplayer is horrible. End game is atrociously boring. Remember when there was a chance to get a COA unique drop on every Chaos run, well you can forget about that in D4. What you will find are 50 million legendaries with meaningless stats and skills that help you out 0% unless you want to spend 3 hours rearranging your entire skill “tree” and paragon point system for the chance that it might feel like you’re doing 1% more damage. However, By far the worst mechanic in D4 and I mean someone should be shot for this, is the parallel enemy leveling system. Want to feel OP like every other RPG at least some point in the game I.e approaching endgame. Well too **** bad, every enemy is going to be 2-3 levels higher than you so go f yourself. Best case scenario….Microsoft buys Blizzard, fires everyone and abandons all Diablo games except D2R servers.… Expand

    I don't have much time to play, only a couple of hours every others day and some weekends. I have the fun similar to what I had in beta. Of course, with very little time I invested in the game, I level very    I enjoy playing D1, D2... I dislike D3.... I was going to skip D4 but after I tried D4 beta, I general felt the fun with my friend. That makes me purchase a NV card and get the D4.

    I don't have much time to play, only a couple of hours every others day and some weekends. I have the fun similar to what I had in beta. Of course, with very little time I invested in the game, I level very slowly but it still fun to go after the story, do a few of side quests.... The fun stopped after story is finished. It seems all you have to do are dungeons.... But I have tons of side quests not finished yet and walking around the map killing "causal" monster seems doesn't matter anymore.

    And then the patch 1.1.0.... It seems intentionally trying to ppl like me... making the game from not so fun to become boring and frustrating...    … Expand

    3 sec tp to 5 sec and walk to the new dungeon design
    and nerf all the build to help the game can be play longer

    Servers are horrendously unstable, lots of login problems and downtime from the lack of optimization. Game runs poorly, using 13GB+ of ram, and using CPU power in the background for reasons unknown.     the starting levels and campaign cut scenes were pretty good. Unfortunately, the classes were not balanced enough, some classes are very resilient and others are too squishy. Some builds are much stronger than others. After the main story, leveling from 45-ish to 70 is a slog and mmo like for no reason other than prolong repetitive game play. Most of the people i played with were not atthe starting levels and campaign cut scenes were pretty good. Unfortunately, the classes were not balanced enough, some classes are very resilient and others are too squishy. Some builds are much stronger than others. After the main story, leveling from 45-ish to 70 is a slog and mmo like for no reason other than prolong repetitive game play. Most of the people i played with were not at level 100 when season 1 started some of which played every day and were only level 85-90, and that includes multiple sessions of party co-op, nightmare dungeons and helltide events.

    Then, blizzard decided to nerf the xp which was already an issue in my opinion. I don't have unlimited time to play the game nor do i want to play this game exclusively. According to d4armory, I had more than 3 days played or 72 hours before or at level 60-ish. I can't check now because battle net is down as i am writing this.

    There have been a few network issues since launch, which I won't blame blizzard for too much, but network delay seems to affect the player and enemies/creatures/npcs in a different way. the game doesn't slow down for both player and creatures, the player character starts to glitch and teleport or stand still but the monsters keep there pace which leads to unresponsive game play and deaths when the server is not cooperative or being DDOS-ed.    … Expand

Players spent their time and followed the developers designs to be powerful in the game, what's wrong with that???? Blizzard had to make players feel helpless and angry? One day you feel like you finally achieved something, then the second day you are back to zero just because Blizzard had to make some "Improvement" on the game. VERY VERY VERY disappointed and angry.     You CAN'T even buy a premium battle pass if you purchased the 100$ version that came with an accelerated battle pass because the game FORCES you to use it, even though Blizzard explicitly said you can save it for later seasons!

    Sure you can, but if you do you CAN'T get the premium battle pass because the game forces you to use the accelerated battle past first!

    The 1.1.0 patch completely gutted the game, and it was so widely hated they had to do an emergency livestream the following friday just to try and quell the backlash.

    This has been ONE of the BIGGEST flops i've ever seen, honestly.
    I don't know how they dropped the ball this hard, how they're so out of touch with their community.

    Once again, because Battle.net servers are down, no one can even login to play this game. There needs to be an OFFLINE option so that I can play my game without relying on Battle.net's incredibly unreliable servers. I should not be locked out of a video game due to requiring it to be online. Especially when Battle.net can't keep their own servers online and in good working order.

Disconnects leave you in the game for several minutes which makes HC unreasonable. The game is piss easy, the worst threat you have in a HC playthrough is literally being disconnected.     Game deserved a 1 or 2/10 for having MTX and being a live service game. Simple as. It’s also poorly replicated the Diablo tone in lore and story, and ultimately is boring and unfulfilling. Everything about the game is designed to get you to buy MTX.

    Mediocre casual game without proper endgame for now. 5 for me. If you are a casual you will probably enjoy more than me.
    For now poe is a LOT better! The endgame in diablo 4 is a joke and pure grind, no fun, no chase challenge or big item, the ui was made for console and the list goes on and on~

    The base game is worth 70€, I loved the story and gameplay. I got more than enough hours of fun gameplay not to regret spending so mutch for it.

    Season one is absolutely not worth 10€ for the pass, not enough innovation or fun content to come back to.

    Blizzard have another plans such as not adding a new end-game content on the other hand making very hard to get end-game by nerfing leveling, increasing cooldowns, nerfing classes that are already nerfed, long story short, increasing damage taken and decreasing damage given etc.
    They think that the people who play this game is not gonna give up when they came out with such a brilliant plan, but you know they are wrong. As you can see this section that made players crazy. They apologized afterwards and they promised they gonna release a patch that fixes all problems. You can guess the patch released after that promise.

I have made necro , rogue and 2 sorc characters . It is enjoyable to some extend but when you have to beat the glitches and struggle throughout the entire process of building your sorc character , it gets pretty annoying and not enjoyable and this is the main reason this game sucks . It was not ready for a release and if they expect us to waste our time testing their unfinished product they are wrong. I will no longer participate in this alpha testing ridiculousness . I might come back to the game in a few years if the Diablo 4 managers and developers get through their heads how to build a successful game and community around it.
    P.S I really want to play the game , but in this condition it gets me angry and frustrated , so I bette quit . That's it

    I think it is an enjoyable game, but for many gamers it is currently a 1-playthrough-and-done with a substantial risk that their character build is destroyed mid-story in a way that isn't going to happen in many other games. And to make matters worse, these dungeons are just less random, objective based (With lots of backtracking), with FAR lower monster-density than Rifts/Greater Rifts from D3. There is no endgame, and there is barely any progression beyond level 50 (Besides very small ones, like Paragon or getting Ancestral items).

    Too many aspects of D4 just feels like repurposed mechanics from D3. What are Glyphs? Legendary Gems from D3. What are dungeons? A less random, and less challenging, and more boring version of a Rift/Greater Rift. What is the entire Ability tree? Just a design of the terrible D3 spell-system. What are passives? They are just the Runes, from D3.

    It's a huge mystery to me, why Blizzard continue to make the biggest ARPG in history like an MMO. Why do they cling on to having a clear defined "endgame"? D2 didn't have this, and it worked beautifully, because every level mattered. Every item you found was a potential upgrade. There was a huge diversity in builds, and people kept coming back to it, again and again.

    Instead, we got a clear endgame starting at level 50, with a slightly higher plateau at level 65. Anything you found before that point is worthless, gold included, because of the exponential tendency of drops, ripped straight from D3's higher Torments. But as soon as you're 65 there's literally nothing to look forward to, expect just more of the same: All the way up to level 99.... Just Nightmare dungeon, after Nightmare Dungeons, after Nightmare Dungeon. And of course, if you want to be efficient about it, you naturally have to do the exact SAME Nightmare Dungeon, over and over and over again. Can we get Rifts back, please? PLEASE?

    Also, am I the only one who find the tooltips in D4 to be wildly confusing and not user-friendly in the slightest? There are so many different stats, but ultimately they are all bad because of their additive nature (instead of multiplicative), and the summary in the bottom only highlights what stats you lose. Well, I can't really make a conformed decision purely based on that, now can I? So, I have to completely ignore the summary and read the entire tooltip from start to the end. Can I then remove the summary, seeing as it's only there to take up a lot of space and adds confusion? Nope. Bad system - Never had problems with any tooltips in any games before, especially not earlier Diablo installments.

    D4 is absurdly expensive (with the ultimate edition costing 100€ ($110)), and falls flat as soon as you reach a certain point. Now, if the game was great until that point, that wouldn't be so bad, but the game up until that point was boring, had extremely slow leveling, and don't even get me started on the Renown-system - I hate it. Its like pulling teeth out, just to unlock all your paragon points. It's slow and requires ridiculous amount of hours, just to finish that.

    This whole situation isn't something that is easily fixed with Seasons. D4, in it's vanilla form, is just as boring, aimless, and confused about its own identity as D3 was, back when it was released. Maybe with an expansion D4 might get amazing, but as is, its sadly just a huge disappointment.
    It's a real shame too, because they really put A LOT of effort into creating a huge and immersive open world - You just don't even see it, because there's nothing to do in it, once you're done leveling. Hell, even leveling is done more effectively in just dungeons. The open world is pointless. Real shame.

    And the world isn't just pointless: It's devoid of other players - Of life.
    On every shard, there are just a handful of players. But because the world is so big, you only ever run into anyone if you're doing one of 4 activities: Altars of Lilith (Which you're only doing once, btw), a World Boss, a Gathering Legion-Event, or a Helltide (All of which, except the Altars of Lilith, only happens a few times each day, tops). So the social aspects of this game is nonexistent. You can't trade, you cant chat with others near you, you can't join Baal-runs or Trist-runs. D4 is a single player game, that REQUIRES you to know others from outside of D4, if you want to play with them. Otherwise you're screwed. You can try to join a clan, but good luck with that - They are all full, at 149 members.
    The game feels more anti-social, than social. Damn, I miss those old 8-man runs in D2. Coming to think of it, think I just might launch that up instead...

    And I didn't even talk about the lag, the disconnects, the rubber-banding, and all the other technical issues with the game.    … Expand

    Back then I had mixed feelings after playing Diablo 2 and 3 for the first time, the impression was not very good, Diablo 1 and Path of Exile remain the top, but still I played it a lot. Diablo 4 had the same mixed feeling again, although it took the best of Diablo 2, 3 and Immortal. Hack and slash aRPGs probably won't be able to satisfy me anymore, definitely not for 70 euros on Battlenet.

    Enough with server problems. There's also class balance problems. Barbarian is Godlike, rogue is too squishy (gets one shotted by almost everything), necromancer has literraly 0 mobility, druid is unkillable, and sorcerer is the only balanced class.

    Let's talk about campaign : Act 1, 2, 3 ,4 and 5 are Star Wars Disney tier. Act 6 is a real masterpiece.
    Campaign boss fights are for retarded ppl. they have 0 mechanics, they just have a ton of hp.
    Only Lilith have a real boss fight. And Elias after the campaign will have a real boss fight too.

    The Artistic Direction is perfect. that's why i give them 1 point.
    Sound Design is good, but Lost Ark is better at it.

    There's a lack of features in the UI. We can't see other player's profile. there's no statistics, can't watch playtime, there's no ladder.
    There's no search bar for items in the stash. Gems take too much space

    And there's a ton of other bugs, like sometimes you can't use any ability or dash. Sometimes the horse's pathfinding will totally bug. Cinematics will sometimes bug when you play with friends, only 1 in the group will the dialogues / cinematics.

    There's no diversity in the bestiary and the dungeon bosses or in the decorations. All monsters are recycled with different color, and they are spread all over the entire map. Dungeons are procedural but you will see always the same monsters in them.
    Dungeon Bosses are catastrophic. Distant / Mage bosses are retarded, they do no damage so you can just burst them with any build.
    Melee Bosses are a nightmare, they run faster than you, have an attack speed higher than the light speed. So you almost can't kite them and if you don't play barbarian, druid or sorcerer frost you'll just instant die.

    To sum up, this game is garbage and doesn't deserve your money, let Blizzard sink.    … Expand

    Was "ok" at launch, got this as birthday present from my wife.
    We played perSeason 1 on launch, Patch1.1.0 really fKd this game.

    If you're considering buying this game, just know that someone in charge there has obviously decided they don't want you to have fun. An entire class is nigh unplayable for the endgame content; that right there should speak volumes about what their internal "testing" must look like. There are high points to the game, but all of the good in Blizzard games, including this one, is usually overshadowed by their "kitchen sink at the wall" haphazard nerfing, their poor communication, and their blatant emphasis on profit over quality. Diablo 4 could be great. Where it is at right now? Save yourself the headache and don't bother investing time into a company/ game that refuses to sell you a product you get to enjoy for more than 5 minutes before having your digital world randomly turned upside down. 1.1 was absolute trash Blizzard.     Not having enough stash tabs to store your items, dying when disconnecting and all the small inconvenient designs, such as having to get off your horse just to fight mobs, make the game annoying

    Boring itemization. SO many unnecessary interruptions while doing dungeons (which are not randomized and interesting) Doesnt feel like diablo, but more like a lost ark clone lol. rather play other more fun arpgs.

    I know that it is easy to jump on the bandwagon and keep kicking the dead horse but this can't be overstated. Diablo IV is one of the worst games I've ever had the displeasure of playing. It's basically a worst Lost Ark (if you can believe it).

    its a "No fun allowed" kind of game. Anything thats fun gets removed or nerfed to the point where its not fun anymore. Dont trust the diablo fanboys, they're boot lickers.

    - As bad as the itemisation is the re-rolling/crafting is even worse

    - levels are so boring and insanely repetitive; End game is nightmare dungeon - there is a handful of dungeons and they are all identical with identical bosses/mobs and layout. They consist of the most mundane objectives (kill all mobs, collect and bring back stone, kill special mobs etc). There is zero fun here, its like all the lessons from running D3 and D2 for 40+ seasons were forgotten

    - One of the most fun things in diablo has always been doing new builds.... well guess what, they made it as hard as possible for you to do this. Paragons, not a bad concept but damn if you want to change a build you have to unclick 200+ allocations so you can try a different build - not fun on a mouse but eveb worse on controller. No unselect all, or save current selection.. Did they even test their own game? I am guessing not.

    Gameplay - so many cheese mechanics, I spent many hours playing hardcore in previous franchises. I don't even want to try here... The butcher is an example; yay you're pushing hard content go around a corner and you hear fresh meat... sure in softcore you have a laugh and in the end you will usually kill him but hardcore.. further the stun mechanics followed by stupid 1 shot stuff.. just not fun.

    I am confident that the game will get there, just I wish they talked to the teams of the previous games and started d4 where they left off.    … Expand

    Disappointed with Diablo 4. Paid €150, but the game feels incomplete with numerous issues and bugs. Updates seem pointless, and developers haven't engaged players effectively. Hope for improvement, but currently unsatisfied.

    First of all i buy preorder coz i was hope blizzard cant ruin this game .... WRONG , i didnt play 24h , i dont use "popular build " just my own and mostly play at weekend coz i dont hame time for play, and before patch all was fine. I was enjoy game, just like on the beta and THEN guess what patch comming and my build go into trash. My question is - this is your final game Blizzard??First of all i buy preorder coz i was hope blizzard cant ruin this game .... It's almost as though the company still believes it's the best studio in the world, and isn't able to see its own failures.

    This game was very clearly made to be a p2w cash grab in the vein of Diablo Immortal, but after customer backlash changed this game's destiny, it slowly developed into the worst of both worlds - all of the grindy awful gameplay to push a player to a pay to win cash shop mixed with an arrogant design team that both doesn't understand their own game math and also doesn't understand what their customers want.

    This game should have and could have been Blizzard's saving grace - but clearly, it falls far short of the mark - and it's not the art, the visual style, or the sound - it's the game developers and their lack of ability or care to create something great shining through.

    Do yourself a favor - skip this game. Go play literally anything else. This game is the definition of "Not worth $70".    … Expand

    Diablo Immortal, their app game ruined by monetization, had way more to do than Diablo 4 on launch. It's pathetic. Battlegrounds, raid instances, better social, etc were all in there from launch.     I paid the most expensive edition of the game to receive the same game I played during Closed Beta in September 2022, with all the bugs that I reported during beta included. Not good.

    Blizzard talked a lot about balance in the latest update, but in my experience, everything is a lot harder to kill than before and gear drops have been worse. I get one shot at full health which is just a ridiculous mechanic. Overall, I'm having to grind way more for garbage gear and get killed way more often.     While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.
