    How can ANY game get 0-2 user ratings and also get 8-10 user ratings? Because this has been totally corrupted by user expectations not being met. When I see comments about 0 needed to "balance all the 10's", oh my goodness, this system of user 1-10 ratings has failed, totally.
    I am 67, playing games since from Atari 16 bit cartridge days. I'm hooked. Played all the old hits, including    How can ANY game get 0-2 user ratings and also get 8-10 user ratings? Because this has been totally corrupted by user expectations not being met. When I see comments about 0 needed to "balance all the 10's", oh my goodness, this system of user 1-10 ratings has failed, totally.
    I am 67, playing games since from Atari 16 bit cartridge days. I'm hooked. Played all the old hits, including Diablo 1. Diablo IV is a masterpiece in presentation and overall enjoyment. Sure, as an ARPG, some things decided are questionable and the must have on-line with micro-transaction store nonsense gives it a black eye. But it still does not distract from the fact it is worth the money and it is loads of fun.
    Combat system is right on the money, from dodging and sound, skills, etc. Yes, it can be better, and it will be. But review bombing and approving only negative reviews? Oh please, grow up!
    Critique it, help Blizzard make it better. Everything can be improved. But review bombing this game is not fixing anything.

    REVISION: Oh my goodness!!! The Nerf patch before Season 1 and what got served for Season 1, what the heck is wrong with Blizzard? Hey, let us slow things down so maybe they will will buy those ridiculous microtransaction items! Game got a lot worse and Blizzard is failing at "live service game". Campaign is great, good foundation, but corporate greed will bury this game. So successful at launch and they dig a hole for themselves on season one. One shot off screen, my character is more squishy, millisecond telegraph of one hit kills, major resistance bug ignored, QOL updates delayed, yadda, yadda, yadda. I so loved this game, and still do as it was on release. I have to now downgrade my rating. Quality delivered product, but current team and Blizzard corporate, they are going to kill this "live service" online only game. Now I hate that phrase, "live service". Thanks Blizzard. Thank goodness Baldur's Gate 3 released. Shame Blizzard, can't support your business model anymore, it should reside in Hell.    … Expand

    I got a level 76 Barb in Season 0 and got bored with the "endgame" I then proceed copium up myself that surely Blizz will bring in some real contents to Season 1 but Blizz brings only disappointment. This is not a new word in the game industry, I did not see any bold decisions, reaching a new level. And this is not exactly what I would like or expect.
    Yes, the graphics are beautiful, music and cinematics are great, the plot is exciting, but it is not enough and everything else is no of interest. The atmosphere of the game is poorly conveyed, it is easily spoiled by the MMO component.
    I liked the references to Meshif and Deckard. But the little evil in the face of Andariel and Duriel was simply flushed down the toilet. It didn't look like a homage.
    Immersion at the beginning of the game was good, but soon I got the impression that I was thrown into a train running at full speed.

    Mix D2R with Knaak's books, ditch the MMO and possibly the isometric view (that would be very bold and could have a great effect), be as sensitive as possible about the atmosphere - you will succeed. But the game looks like a D3 upgrade.

    Videos with people playing D4, which are posted on the official YouTube channel, are very revealing, players show simulated emotions.
    Artificial hype. Boredom.

    I think, the capitalists have replaced creators, they are stifling fantasy, preventing artists from making real art.
    In their opinion, the player should not get much pleasure from the game, entertainment should be very portioned and mixed with a lot of boring content.    … Expand

    The game feels extremely unfinished and just falls completely short of competitors. Critics scores are from paid reviews and clueless people. The game is worse than diablo 3 although it looks nicer occasionally. Pathetic cash grab.

I was pissed with the season 1 update, but I said heck with it ill keep playing, I made it to lvl 83 while working a full time job, POST season 1 patch. Leveling feels TERRIBLE.

    I made this account just to give Diablo 4 an honest review so hopefully others avoid the same mistake of purchasing. Early on the game seems decent, but it progressively gets more boring. Previously Diablo games had end game activities to keep us logging on and playing. This game has nothing going for it at end game. I've seen people calling it Vendor Simulator 4 and this makes a lot ofI made this account just to give Diablo 4 an honest review so hopefully others avoid the same mistake of purchasing. You spend more time running between monsters, reviewing your loot and vendoring it than actually fighting monsters. The game is also live service and Blizzard recently ignored 142 exploiters who basically cheated the game to get uber uniques. Their response was extremely disappointing. It was along the lines of "we know who cheated and how many, but this time there will be no punishment, perhaps next time we'll do something if it happened again". This allows their streamer partners and whoever else they are protecting to retain godlike items for the remainder of the game. I decided to uninstall at this point because Blizzard lost integrity and didn't keep the playing field fair for the rest of us.… Expand

    Cannot attack if your on the corner of a wall or where two walls meet and form a 90 degree angel.
    Bugs and glitches galore..

    Ect.... The list goes on. In what world is this okay. There has been 581 "fixed issues" in 7 weeks. JFC..
    If a car company was selling cars that did not have features form 23 years ago and need 581 fixes and feedback from their customers... They would go out of business...why is it okay for the game industry to do this. Why do our rights not count, because it's digital content? We forgo any and all rights to these sleazy companies?

    They lied when they said the cash shop would not take priority over the game. And they literally blew that in the first 60 seconds of season 1. Cash shop gets 10 new skins (that cost around $25 each) and the battle pass gets 2 skins, and one of them absolutely sucks.

    I could go on. It's heart breaking. I blame Microtransactivision. This sleazy company will monetize any and everything. To quote a famous movie "You will never find a greater hive of scum and villainy" than that of Activision.

    Microsoft please clean house. And put your paying customers first. Something that has not been done in a long time by this company.

    Played betas, prerelease and all the way until 8/1/23. While some balancing after release is completely expected this has just been terrible. To many exploits, bugs, broken skills, broken aspects. We hve just been testing the game for them on a game that should never have been released in this state.     After leveling each class to 50 and 2 Necromancers to 100 and season to 90. I can say I was used against my will to beta test a clearly unfinished game. 1.1.1 was the last chance they had. Massive game breaking bugs still persist, VRAM issues, wrong tooltips. This is unacceptable. I feel scammed.

Like this time Rogue was patched and was not notified. I'm really disappointed with this Diablo 4, I probably won't play this game again, and I won't recommend my friends to play this game again.     Diablo 4 is good to play once for the campaign. There's no denying the great visuals, animations, and a tiny handful of decent cutscenes. But that's about where the positives end. That's shady practice and I'd rather have it as a side DLC when it does come out. As it stands today, the endgame is an absolute joke. Lazy content, broken promises, bad balancing, and out of touch devs. Not all builds feel good and you really don't have a lot of customization. Items are extremely boring and drops don't feel good. Lack of quality of life.

    Everything about the endgame is a terrible mess, but the endgame is what makes an ARPG worth it. Pass on this one. Don't even think about it.    … Expand

    Game isn't good but it could be. Season 1 changes and additions are not good. Need to rollback some of the EXP changes. pre-season I hit 92. I'm at 63 Seasonal and I'm about to quit. We'll see if the NM dungeon loot patch fixes it today. Not worth the price tag.

    If this was a free game I wouldn't be complaining.

    The Diablo 4 team, dissatisfied with how players were engaging with the game they had created, began to implement drastic changes. Data mining player behavior, they initiated a series of continuous alterations that shifted the gameplay experience in the opposite direction from even where it was at launch.

    Classes were nerfed, Mob density was reduced, XP gains were slowed to a crawl, and It felt as if the players had become nothing more than data points, mere rows in an Excel spreadsheet, with their preferences and playstyles disregarded.

    Players had essentially paid to beta test a game, only to have the rug pulled out from under them as the developers unilaterally decided to reshape the game in a way that did not align with player interests. The community's enjoyment and investment were seemingly irrelevant as the game underwent transformation after transformation.

    What could have been a transparent dialogue between developers and players turned into a one-sided conversation where the voice of the community was ignored. Trust was broken, and a sense of betrayal permeated the player base.

    The graphics, sound, and potential depth of "Diablo 4" became overshadowed by this erratic development process. It's challenging to invest time and energy into a game that feels like shifting sands.

    In its current state, "Diablo 4" serves as a stark reminder that player engagement and loyalty cannot be taken for granted. A game's success is built not only on strong mechanics and captivating storytelling but also on a respectful and symbiotic relationship between developers and players.     Blizzard is incapable of making a good Diablo game. Diablo 1 and 2 were made by Condor games and they were fantastic.

    If you want a good Arpg go play POE.

    Below average game, the first open beta was good, but then it just goes downhill on live. Nothing new or exciting compare to the open beta. All 5 areas are the same, repetitive, boring. The classes & skill sets are good but the visuals are just plain dumb. The mount control is clunky, I hate it. The bosses & the dungeons are just boring.... endgame is virtually non-existence.

    A lot of dumb kids just bombing the rating without even playing the game.
    The game overall is ok. You can definitely spend there few weeks-month by playing campaign and then exploring some endgame stuff to do until it starts getting boring. I had fun playing this amount of time so gaming is good.
    Rating it as 6, because game also has issues that needs to be solved.

    Campaign is top of the game, Season 1 don't have content to be honest, but is not a reason for saying the game is **** as most people say.

    I love it. OST is god like, nemesis butcher the best boss in the history of video games. Im a Druid fan, i have played with all builds and love the gameplay, build variations and love the combat system. Put tier 100 down and i'm going for Lilith uber boss. Varshan is kids playground, die too easy. I hope the next seasons bring more content for the game, because this is amazing Diablo gameI love it. Le système des palier ou plus ont monte moins on a de bon stuff il y a juste la difficulté qui est augmenté mais le système des rewards est complément POURRIE. Jeux très REDONDANT.     A Mediocre game with great polish. Starts out great but only goes downhill from there. Also there is too much Diablo Immortal trickery added at the cost of the base game's quality. RIP old Blizzard where seeing just the logo would mean an awesome game was coming next.

    The action is boring, the story is thin, you can only use 5 abilities and a basic attack from your entire skill tree and there are only 2 real cinematics in the whole game.

    This game is what a soulless corporate drone would build based on the description of someone who actually played Diablo II.

    Avoid like the plague.

    this game is boring, i'm playing a necromancer and i'm using the summons, i lose track of where i am within seconds after combat starts, because the screen fills up with blight pools and corpse explosion miasma clouds. i can't see anything. the story is dumb. this game is really bad.

    was a waste of money, no content, no build variety, world feels empty, way too many bugs that exist for way too long, etc.
    better safe the money and spend it on something more useful.

    -Big red BUY NOW button directly below the seasonal boons, flashing store on the in-game menu, ads when you open the client to play the game. (not added to score, but for me makes it a 4/10)
    -Having to redo side quests and unlock teleports every season is circus tricks for content.
    -The expected late game is bare bones.

    Imho the most enjoyable gameplay is playing 3 characters on eternal realm and 2 on the seasonal realm, until early lategame (60-80).

    I would recommend this game only if you know about this upfront because it is quite pricy and had less content than people expected given they have 20+ years experience making this type of game.    … Expand

    There are job listings for new Dev hiring by Blizzard in Albany , NY. in the past month.

    That is all you need to know.

    It was a Cash Grab by Blizzard, they used Woke Devs, and treated the game like a mobile phone app at $100... and now they are paying for it.

    Diablo 4 is a magnificent game, with little to no bugs, and detailed sceneries.

    But there is no-end game content, and the main story is an excuse to reach higher World Tiers.

    For $40, it would be an amazing pick. For $70, it is a massive rip-off.

In cities, I bounce/teleport all over the place. In nightmare dungeons its not as bad, but it's still unacceptable and can cause a lot of deaths. This PC handles every other game I've thrown at it with ease. Not D4. I've tried tweaking the graphics settings, but this is still an issue. I've even tried a VPN (at a Blizzard dev's suggestion) but it's still an issue. What is frustrating to me is that Blizzard will, within days, kill any bug that favors the player base, but any issue that seems to be adversely affecting players .. these will go months without a fix. It's disappointing to say the least where their priorities are. Been two months and now in season 1, the stash situation is even worse now with the hearts. Still no extra tabs. I played a lot of D3. D4 is not anywhere near that level.… Expand

    The world feels empty, soul less, cold, but not in an creepy way, more like "i don't have fun doing this or that in here" way.
    To small personal chest, no build switch closet, rly to less level of difficulty, just 2 ... TWO perhaps rememberable bossmonsters ... all others ... i couldn't tell.

    Yeah you have an open World with always online thingy ... but ... this don't feel like diablo.
    It's just annoying "ah, look over there, my questmob ... is gone, ... by screendmg from character "4rsWhole5587" .... "

    The ingame shop is way to expensive for an uncompleted software like this.
    The battlepass don't give enough ingame currency to even buy one item ... you can't buy nothing with the currency from the battlepass, everything in shop costs more than you'll get.

    For me, Diablo V is for sure the dissapointment of the decade and rly for sure not worth any playtime in there.

    Diablo 4, its an amazing game, what else is there to say about it? The charaters and unique, the legendaries were revamped and you can build crazy builds, game looks amazing, gameplay is fun, there isn't much else to say beside this game is amazing

    There is no functioning matchmaking, the is no chat system seeing any appreciable use, there is no trading.
    All in all a perfectly fine single player, off-line game at a to high prize and with the questionable need to always be online.

    Gear. Uber Uniques? Play the build you want to play? Everything is so linear yet somehow not linear. In Diablo 2 you could play any build you wanted and wear key uniques that were interchangeable based on desired effects. Shako, Vamp gaze, Arreat’s, rare tiara’s all had their place. Instead we get some vanilla stat pool locked gear we add affix’s too based on our build. What is this trash? How boring how unimaginably bland. Don’t forget you can’t trade it once you enchant or make it legendary

    End game. There is non. Primarily because we can’t trade so grinding loot for a marginal upgrade feels helpless. What’s the point. Gear is weak as it is. The paragon board far supersedes any marginal loot upgrades. When we could trade we would farm Pindle, Meph, Trav and etc. for hours because we could create wealth. Here we grind for hours with no chance of a piece of gear we can trade for wealth and spend our gold on ridiculous re-enchantment cost. Which one of you played this and thought it was fun?

    Who thought not letting us re-kill bosses from the story was a good idea?

    Our core abilities do damage but our basic skills are useless. Why should I boringly spam left click to build energy. Fun games have left click as a big single damage and right click for some big aoe. Once again, did the people making this game play games or were they n00bs who casually played and got a job making games instead of being passionate about good game play.

    Mob density. I constantly find my self just not even wanting to engage in combat while running around. A pack of 5 mobs with no elite. Oh boy what a treasure!! The exp for non elites is trash. Why should I kill them. They are blocking my way forward. Maybe if there was 20 I would kill them so I would at least feel good killing them and there was enough there for at least a small chance of an ancestral. Who sat there and made these then tested it and thought ohhh boy it was fun killing those?

    Mounts. Once again who tested that mount and said to themselves mannnn this mount is fluid brah. This feels so good lemme hit my turbo and get stuck on a twig. Whoever designed this should be fired! Oh thanks for adding the special abilities to them that are a steaming pile of lizard skat. Someone actually wasted development time on those?

    Everything I’ve said has been said before. Yet somehow the development staff turns a blind eye to it. Then we have these campfire brain cookouts! All we get is deflection from what looks like a bunch of virtue signaling n00bs talking about 80% of stuff no one cares about. Just looking at your half baked corn nibblers makes me not want to play your game. I feel like the ego’s of these people are what ruined it. They thought they could reinvent the wheel because they’ve told themselves in the mirror every morning they know gaming. No you don’t. Make the game you’re told to made we are the customer. We don’t want your new stupid ideas. We want Diablo with new generation features raids and content!    … Expand

    The game is okayish, but boring very fast. Gameplay is not that deep, world is not so interesting. It just feels like another ARPG.

    update: Blizzard thinks D4 must feel like a job.

    A soulless game, It seems to lack even the most basic features. It's actually quite simple, why do you have to reinvent the wheel? Why not use the features you already have and know?     If you want to waste money and time, take this game immediately. There is a chronic server problem and while clearing a long dungeon or fighting against a boss, a mystery server problem kicks you out of the game and resets all you've done about that dungeon or boss. Also, almost nothing new about the gameplay. I don't understand why the Diablo Immortal is free but this one overpriced...

    i have spent at least 20k-30k hours with diablo games, mostly diablo 2, but diablo 4 is the most boring one so far, i played 2 characters to 100 and feel like there was almost nothing to remember about. the game is a disappointment to me, even the ingame music has nothin to it (except the Tristram quest xD)

    So what's the problem? I think it's the fact that blizzard has no development talent left. They allowed the game to launch with what were obviously placeholder values on skill damage, aspects, and etc... resulting in abysmal balance across the game. One class has uniques and aspects that all provide a benefit at the cost of some sort of damage nerf or downside (Sorcerer). Yet.. all other classes get the beneft, + another benefit or even more damage! Why? No reason, you simply choose that class and have a worse experience than everyone else. There's no excitement getting loot like unqieus when you know that they will simply make your character less fun or worse.

    They launched with exactly 1 pinnacle boss, enemies that can one shot you with no tells from offscreen, a defensive layer required by casters that simply does not work (with a promise to maybe fix it before season 2 possibly?), next to no variety for events and nearly no rewards for running them. In other words.. it's broken, unfinished, and there's no plans to address this in the short term.

    You know what does work though? The battle pass, the cash shop, all functioning ways to pay blizzard more money for giving you the video game equivalent of unbaked sourdough sprinkled with ground up crickets with the assurance that around February 2024 they might consider baking it for you.

    This isn't even getting into the comedy routines they call patches, where they give underperforming classes huge nerfs, globally nerf one of two working defense layers, make all the enemies harder, and then globally nerf more damage. Then they make new patches where they nerf the content to so that people can maybe start having fun playing the game again? What was the point of all that.

    They make only one bit of content give decent XP and rewards, nerf other content, and then can't fathom why the open world is empty and dead. They have seasons where they want to reset the economy in a game with no economy because you can only trade rares. They release chase items that have such a low drop rate they are effectively not in the game, but then don't allow them to be traded. If they accidently make these items reasonable to obtain, that can be fixed in 1 hour, but again resistances will take two seasons to fix! They made it so the game loads all items in all players stashes that are visible into memory despite no way to access that information and no way to trade for most of what's in there.

    This all points to Blizz being bereft of competent devs, vision, talent, and shows a complete lack of good faith towards releasing a fun and enjoyable game.

    My prediction? They will use the abysmal failure of D4 to state that "their fans simply don't want a mature PC based game" and will move 100% to mobile in the future.    … Expand

    The reason why people play Path of Exile almost every league is that GGG creates a new league mechanic for each one, and casual players only need 1~2 months to clear all content. You don't have to grind for too long to achieve your goal for that league.

    What Blizzard is doing now is like a lazy teacher who gives you the homework of "writing 1+1 = 2" 100 times and submitting it tomorrow. On the other hand, PoE will give you something more meaningful like "finish these 50 math additions that go up to 3 digits." Which teacher would you prefer to teach your kid?

    Anyway, I still give it 3 stars just for the campaign and the open world design in early game. For now, the game only worth about 30~40usd of fun    … Expand

Im playng since they released it Offizial, and its like there is no Items to play arround with just the first drops where Good and now no Good Items in Days, Weeks. Im looking to make the Build Funier but its imposible with this loot i get. Im already Bored from this Items iI was Long time a Fan of the Diablo section from Blizzard.     The game is fast and fun, but has serious negatives, the worst being the seasons, which seems to be such a waste of time for very little reward. Another serious negative for me is the grind of doing the same content over and over to get to higher levels. Lastly, there is way too much equipment and things to fill inventory as well as options with gear that take away from the gameplay, for me.

The scaling leaves your character feeling like they are not getting stronger but rather just trying to keep up with the pace (at higher levels). Game gets MASSIVELY repetitive after lvl 50 or so. I spent about 30 hours into the game. If this was a narrative experience with that many hours maybe that would be okay... Overall, itLoot system fails to deliver upgrades that feel impactful.     I tried so hard to like this game but after 252 hours I want to be sincere to myself and admit it. Minimum 3 hard crashes during a 4-5 hour playsession, often server lag, bugs, bad mechanics, itemization, risk/reward and overall fun. Fun to frustration ratio I will rate it 2 out of 10 in this state.

    la saga ha empeorado respecto a diablo 3, la historia es intuitiva y muy aburrida, pero mas aburrido es el endgame, donde tendrás que hacer las quest secundarias que no hiciste anteriormente.

    La temporada 1 mejora un poco el juego pero no lo suficiente, ya que se trata de ir a localizaciones ya conocidas para matar a mas enemigos con mas contenido de la historia sin ser algo relevante,    la saga ha empeorado respecto a diablo 3, la historia es intuitiva y muy aburrida, pero mas aburrido es el endgame, donde tendrás que hacer las quest secundarias que no hiciste anteriormente.

    La temporada 1 mejora un poco el juego pero no lo suficiente, ya que se trata de ir a localizaciones ya conocidas para matar a mas enemigos con mas contenido de la historia sin ser algo relevante, casi una misión secundaria algo mas currada.

    Para mi la falta de pets y de buscador de mazmorra es lo peor, obligándote a coger los objetos de 1 en 1 y haciendo casi imposible ir a mazmorras acompañado, además de la existencia de muchos bugs, en especial con el caballo que es como el de skyrim pero al revés, donde se para hasta por la piedra mas pequeña del camino y cuando sale parece que le cuesta arrancar, cosa que puede fastidiar mucho sobre todo en el JCJ.

    Y ya hablando sobre el JCJ, no se hasta que punto esta nivelado el juego, creando situaciones surrealistas    … Expand

    D4 is a cash grab that is not fun. The graphics don't really hold up against scrutiny and the grind is..... not the fun kind of grind.

    Edit: After some more time I must say: Don't buy this. It is shallow and gives a **** about how it can be more fun for players. It does care a lot about how to take more money from the players, so if you like such then yea, buy it and play!

    While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.
