    I have a phone, but no longer have diablo immortal. Not worth the time, if you spend more than a few hours playing, you already spent more time in the game than the devs have. The only reason this game exists is as a way to funnel money into the pockets of devs. They do not care about the game play experience at all. That is just a mask to convince people to spend money.     UI on PC is the absolute worst.     I don't have a phone, but I do have self-respect. Something Blizzard lost a long time ago. But if the idea of a retread Diablo 3 that you have to constantly flush money into in order to play on any level excites you, hey, give me your money instead and let me hit you with a brick. It will be a lot more fun than this piece of crap game, trust me.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The leveling was painfully slow and has many dead spots. End game is worse and the buy buy buy is horrible. Game crashes and bugs are everywhere.

    So I hit p20 and the day to day stuff to do will not even get you a level. The grind is insane. They care more about pvp then anything. I have deleted the game.    … Expand

This, by far, has been the worst aspect of Diablo's mobile development as it is a poor value proposition for players on PC.     I was almost tempted to give a 1/10 for the effort of making a PC port but the evil and predatory monetization which is designed to pray on individuals prone to addiction is just too strong.

    - Lack of Builds and diversity.
    - very cartoony aesthetic for a Diablo Title.
    - A Mediocre skippable story at best.
    - Lots of D2 and D3 bad nostalgia tricks

They can also argue "it's your fault that you're stuck in traffic if you drive to your job, instead of walking or riding the bicycle" but that's not really a "good faith" argument, is it?

    To anyone who says "you don't need to pay money to play it" or "too bad people can't ignore the monetization" you're ignoring that the issue isn't paying for a game. It wouldn't be an issue if this was a $30-60 game, and we only had to pay a one-time fee to unlock the full experience. You're also failing to recognize that they design the monetization to be ****Incredibly difficult to ignore / avoid / resist****

    They hire psychologists, to try to get every possible monetization hook with the highest success rates of enticing a player to spend. Even just $1 is enough for them, because it's a downwards slippery slope from there.

    Their in-game reward system is designed to activate your dopamine receptors, so you get addicted to their dopamine hit. They use that as classic Pavlovian conditioning to associate the dopamine reward with their game & the in-game market--all of this happens without the player spending a single dollar.

    That conditioning means that they've created a subconscious imprint in your mind, which links a dopamine reward with their game & their in-game shop. That's a subconscious link, which they purposefully intend to exploit. They do that by "starving" you of the dopamine hit & sensory excitement which they had been giving you.

    As you play longer, they slowly reduce the amount of "free rewards" you receive, and create a subtle expanding delay between rewards. The player doesn't notice this, because the system was already organically introduced in most modern games (think of the leveling/exp system). However they use this organic system to starve you of a "reward" which they conditioned you to expect. It makes you start craving it more and more intently. At that point since you already subconsciously associate their game shop with the "reward", you'll start to subconsciously open the game/shop in search of another "reward" hit or more in-game resources. This can even happen when you might just be bored, or exhausted, and your brain wants a quick "pick me up" then before you know it, you've opened up "Diablo Immortal" all on auto-pilot. This can happen simply because you started feeling anxious/bored/hungry--meaning that you don't need to actually have an actual desire or intent to play the game, in order for you to open the app as an auto-pilot behavior. That's what the predatory addictive "hooks" accomplish in mobile games.

    Again, you don't need to spend a SINGLE unit of currency, for this addiction to take root. You only need to play for longer than a week. Before you know it, you're wanting to spend money on the shop. Eventually you reach a point where you've spent $100-5,000 on a SINGLE game throughout an entire year. Don't believe me? Well just look at how much money they're already making on platforms outside of PC.

    That's the reason they wanted to make it a mobile-exclusive game. IMO they should've kept it mobile-exclusive, because I wouldn't be rating it 0 as a mobile game. However, I do not want this kind of "game approach" on my PC.

    This isn't very "cash money" of Blizzard Entertainment--though it is a cash printer for them, and we're the ink. It's a negative cash money experience for the player, after they play for a few minutes or days. Like I said before, that wouldn't be an issue if it was simply a one-time payment of $30-60. However, it's a slippery slope of spending.

    Im not into mobile gaming but i gave Diablo immortal a try on pc and android, my first ever mobile game played and probably my last. I take enjoy grinding for the best gear and making my character top tier but im not spending thousands of dollars to get the best gear, this p2w gameplay completely destroys pvp. Uninstalled this garbage

    When it came out that I can play Diablo in Mobile & PC, i thought this was a game changer. Indeed, I could play this game on PC, log out (close the game) and lay down on my bed and play it on my phone right before I sleep.
    I loved it. But, that's all I could love about this game. Campaign was good and    P2W, yea yea yea... not even gonna mention about that because enough is enough.
    When it came out that I can play Diablo in Mobile & PC, i thought this was a game changer. Indeed, I could play this game on PC, log out (close the game) and lay down on my bed and play it on my phone right before I sleep.

    I loved it.

    But, that's all I could love about this game. Campaign was good and fun. I leveled up to 60. And then I lost the interest playing the game.

    Here is why
    1. [No innovative game play] I started feeling like it's just as same Diablo II and III. Rifts and instances looked the same. Game play is... pretty much the same as D3... got bored so fast.

    2. [No New Character] All same characters with very similar skills. Come on, there are many of us who's been playing Diablo for at least 10+ years. I am not interested playing the same Diablo with better graphics, I want to experience new & improved game play & characters.

    If I were a Diablo game developer, I would've added World of Warcraft into Diablo,

    I played about 2 weeks now.... and I am going to stop playing.    … Expand

    The only thing that is good about it is the killing of monsters, every other system is lazy and/or poorly designed... even the music is awful in this game...     so you can only do battlegrounds once a day for 2 hours and if you're f2p player whales will one shot you and farm you. if you think you can compete for top ten ladder greater rifts then you are mistaken all those spots will always be dominated by whales so you cant compete at all. this feels like playing a game that has cheaters and you cant do **** about it .

I've logged thousands of hours into retail WoW, Diablo 2, Diablo 3, Warcraft 2, Warcraft 3, Starcraft, and Starcraft 2, and I can say with absolute certainty that this is the worst game I've ever had the misfortune to play, on both PC and Mobile. The beginning of the game is designed to get you hooked on it, and draw you further into the story, and then when you think you might enjoy playing this game, the barrage of monetization hits you. I've enjoyed maxing out my characters in Diablo 2 and Diablo 3, but they've found a way to even ruin that, by locking endgame content off from you completely unless you spend exorbitant amounts of money. You have no way to compete with "whales" as a free to play player, and they promised us gear wouldn't be purchasable. Lo and behold, gear isn't purchasable, instead gear means almost nothing, and all of your stats come from the gems you have to farm which, funny coincidence, are buyable, meaning that your progression is tied to how much money you spend no matter how much Activision-Blizzard would like to claim otherwise. Do yourself a favor and don't feed them money on any of their platforms, for any games, as the only way to actually teach companies like this a lesson is to completely boycott their products and stop them from making money until they either fall apart, or get their act together and learn how to make a game for the people who are buying it, instead of for shareholders.… Expand

This Game is By Far the Worst when it comes to its Greed and    Blizzard has Taken (Diablo) a Franchise that I Grew up Loving as a Child & was the Game that Inspired Me to Get a PC, Has Given up on their Fans, & has willingly injected the Franchise with a Deadly Cancer (Microtransactions).

    Blizzard has Turned a Game that the World / Gaming Culture Loves and has Turned it into a SweatShop. This Game is By Far the Worst when it comes to its Greed and Manipulation of its player base. Implementing New Tactics Never before seen, used to Rip off their Players.

    (Path of Exile) has Picked up the Mantle that Diablo has Left Behind. Blizzard was Told By the Fans That they were going in the Wrong Direction After They Released Diablo 3. it was More Cartoonish and wasn't like the Previous Titles (Diablo 1-2) Diablo 4 is Looking to Follow this Trend and I Find Myself More Excited for Path of Exile 2 a (Free to Play Game) that still isn't as Ruthless with Microtransactions as Diablo Immortal "IMORRAL".

    The Only MTX in PoE is Cosmetic's, No Paywalls, No Pay to Win Mechanics. Not To mention I Feel like Path of Exiles is More of a True Successor to the Original Diablo Games of Old (Mechanics Wise) Besides the Fact that PoE doesn't use Currency such as Gold Like Diablo.

    After a long wait, I really wanted to get into this game. I did, for the first 3/4 of it. I had heard of the ridiculous microtransactions, but assumed it was people who love to complain. Nope. Not true. This game has a terrible, terrible end game. It's a horrible way to treat your fanbase.     All this game is is a cash grab by Blizzard! NOT WORTH MY TIME! I hope Microsoft will fix this when buyout is all said and done and fires all the people who think this was a good idea to milk money during a global recession and people are living pay check to pay check and just wanted something to take their minds off of a crap world right now.

    I get you need monetization, but at this level???Crazy! I cant recommend it and wont be playing. Makes me a bit sick and I hope to god this is not where our most loved games are heading :O

Not to mention u also SECRETLY caps the loot drops for F2P players to make em itchy to spend money. And u dare to make dungeons drop extra loot by simply PAY MORE MONEY!     This game easily has one of the worst monetization systems I have ever seen and coming from my history playing a certain game called last shelter survival which also has horrible monetization diablo immortal somehow has an even worse system designed to suck as much money out of its consumers as possible. Stay away from this game

This game not only disrespects your time, but it flagrantly disrespects your wallet. And it's a real shame, because the bones of this game are a really solid Diablo game.     This game is absolutely abysmal and I have lost faith in Blizzard as a company capable of creating anything other then a half-baked cash grab. I was excited for Diablo 4 but after this trash I don't have faith in their ability to deliver a game worth playing much less looking at.

    One of the most p2w games i have ever played, and one that has the most types of currencies that you can buy with real money that i have ever played, and i have played plenty of p2w mmos such as silkroad archeage perfect world and metin 2, these are some of the most p2w games i have ever played but this one certaintly takes the cake

    Hay mucho hater amargado echando mierda al juego sin haber realmente escarbado en el mismo y ver por si solos que no es un p2w (pve) ni tan siquiera es un p2fast porque la campaña es la que es y no la haces antes por llevar full legendarios equipados.

    El fallo del juego y que deben arreglar, es la sensación que te da la tienda de tener que pagar hasta por crear un personaje, cuando no es así. Deben de quitar capas al juego y por lo tanto a la tienda. Hay demasiadas capas en la jugabilidad, que si gemas, blasones, varias vendedores, herreros, joyeros, servicios, temporadas, clanes, bandas, reuniones, loterias, runas, oro, platinos, fallas, misiones, es demasiado .... y todo tiene su reflejo en la tienda aunque en la realidad no necesites comprar nada para avanzar si no juegas a tryhardear el personaje.
    El que solo se lo baja, lo prueba y ve todo lo que he dicho se asusta y piensa que o paga o no juega una mierda pero a lo poco que ñe metas unas horas te das cuenta que no es así, y el juego te lo dice a su manera, bueno mas bien no dice nada porque es de los gachas menos invasivos (in game) en cuanto a meterte la tienda cada dos por tres.     It's expected with a beta to have bugs and constant crashes. With a mobile game, it's expected to try and take every cent you have.

    Após 13 dias do lançamento, com pessoas gastando mais de 10 MIL dólares para não ganhar absolutamente nada. Isso só prova de que a Blizzard é completamente MERCENÁRIA!!! 4 anos esperando esse jogo ser lançado para vir com um Sistema Ridículo P2W só porque o jogo é gratuito. 110 mil dólares ou 10 anos jogando para deixar o personagem no nível máximo.     I remember when Blizzard North made great games, complete games for 50$... Gaming is ruined as we know unless we all take a stand and force game companies to make enjoyable games.

    And if you are going cash shop route, follow Elder Scrolls Onlines example, theyve made piles of cash without giving a single edge to players via the cash shop, its all cosmetic.

    I use to like diablo series but I think im done. I heard the same crap is coming to diablo 4 with pay for play... na..... why not bring the old school diablo auction house that was free to trade? I started playing this game and uninstalled it.

    One of the most disgusting excuses for a game I’ve ever seen in my life. Progress, characters, and battle passes all being tied to ONE character, on ONE server is so greedy it’s insane. It’s been 15 days without so much as A WORD on anything from blizzard and it makes me sick to my stomach I have a PENNY to this company.

    Diablo Immortal is a simplified and more accessible version of the series that can still provide hours of mindless fun and entertainment. Sadly, the games suffers in the long run because of all the tedious grinding and the greedy monetization system, making a game experience that starts as very enjoyable much less so as time goes on.

    Diablo Immortal seems like a project created with the sole purpose of using the good name of Diablo to rub the players of their money. Definitely one of the worst games ever came out of Blizzard.
