    I made an account so i could leave this review, with the hope of seeing the score down to 0. That's what Blizzard deserves trying and failing to mimick these trash garbage KMMOs upgrade system that ruin all the fun in games, in a diablo game.. Just **** them really. So disappointed as a long time diablo fan. I grew up with it and this system they introduced just destroys the core ofI made an account so i could leave this review, with the hope of seeing the score down to 0.     I am not sure how old Diablo III is, but looks a lot better and hopefully Diablo IV won’t follow this game in any of its features. It’s a bad game, don’t waste your time and check some videos about it first.

    The fact the game is so well made and people are upset or surprised that it followed mobile game tactics for it's monetization is absurd. It's pay to win sure .. but what are you not winning? Diablo for me has always been just improving my characters power and enjoying the the content which this does just fine. Leaderboards are cool and all but who cares. "Gamers" are just not happy unlessThe fact the game is so well made and people are upset or surprised that it followed mobile game tactics for it's monetization is absurd.     The game from a gameplay perspective is mediocre at best. However the cash shop with its pay2win and pay2convenience will suck any fun out of the game.
    Games like this are made un-fun on purpose in order to *sell* you the solution. This works against the core principle of being a game and therefore can't have more than 0 points.

    'Predatory monetization' is not a strong enough term to describe this scam. You can't even call this a 'game', really, as it is a pay for bragging rights versus other whales. Folks, this is not the Blizzard you fondly remember.

    They said that "the game will not be pay to win, you cannot buy gear" and then made gear irrelevant and added this predatory, disgusting and shameless gem system.

    I'm at the point where simply playing the game makes me feel like crap because I know I'm being taken advantage of. I will never play another Diablo title again.

Worst of all, I know in my heart that they will eventually drop the prices, fix the game and make it more f2p, that is, after they got all the whales to max out their credit cards Warcraft 3 Reforged convinced me to never buy another remake from Blizzard, but Diablo Immortal convinced me to never play another Blizzard game again.     Nothing says 'Out of Touch' quite like this game, appears harmless enough but they basically just reskinned a Chinese Mobile game, and brought microtransactions to bombard you at every step into the game. Honestly, this really is the nail in the coffin for Blizzard.

FREE 2 PLAY, It did not make sense for blizzard to make a f2p game, they had the reputation, they could reach millions of players even if they sold the game. But bureocracy and that **** management ( a.k.a bobby kotick) threw them in the dust.     A very disappointing game. Looks pretty nice, could be nice to play as well BUT the problem list is long and sad;
    1. Absurd microtransactions everywhere. Windows with the information "you beat the rat! As a reward you have unlocked a unique opportunity to buy x".
    Because, as we know, the ability to buy anything from Blizzard is the most valuable reward.
    2. Unstable servers
    3. Avatars often do not listen to the player's commands - they go wherever they want, even though we direct them elsewhere.
    4. Sometimes, during a fight, you cannot attack for several minutes and the only thing you can actually do is run around the enemies and wait for the attack to start working again.
    5. Sometimes skills don't work, no matter if they are charged.
    6. It keeps losing the controller (tested on several controllers and a few phones and on pc - on pc the problem seems to be the most frequent and invasive)
    7. Often it is impossible to use the services of a blacksmith - the window simply does not open. And when it opens, it shows strange letters and numbers. Still useless.
    8. Equipment cannot be dragged between windows - unintuitive and annoying.

    Additionally - FUN FACT;
    Only a few days AFTER the premiere and after the first reviews appeared on the Internet, the developers added information during the launch screen that the game is in beta stage.

    Disappointing. If not for the above, the game would be really cool. Limited gameplay due to the fact that it is a mobile, but still nice, fast and nice looking Hack & Slash. But well. Blizzard still seems to treat its audience like idiots.    … Expand

    I would have happily paid for this game if it was not free to play. The core gameplay feels absolutely fantastic. It feels and looks exactly like Diablo. The Monetization for this game is so incredibly predatory that it makes me want to just uninstall the game entirely. Being a mobile game and "normal" across the mobile game genre doesn't mean that it's suddenly not okay. Just becauseI would have happily paid for this game if it was not free to play. The core gameplay feels absolutely fantastic. It feels and looks exactly like Diablo. The Monetization for this game is so incredibly predatory that it makes me want to just uninstall the game entirely. Being a mobile game and "normal" across the mobile game genre doesn't mean that it's suddenly not okay. Just because something has been normalized doesn't mean it should be ignored. From the huge disparity of Legendary crests, the staggering amount of caps on activities in the game that are never mentioned, the Paragon gating, the EXP Penalties, etc. If you are prone to spending money to "speed up" your gameplay in this game, it will drain you until you have nothing left. Blizzard is consumed by greed. Eternal Legendary Crest is unavailable to free-to-play players and that's absurd. How they create such similar crests in such a dishonest way is gross. The level of micro transactions and paywalls makes me want to vomit and terrifies me for the future of my child. At first, everything seemed fine, until I got to level 30-60, and Paragon level 5. That's when you really start realizing how much time you are wasting on a game you can never win without spending thousands of dollars or your entire life. Very, very, unhappy. Lawmakers need to ban this kind of crap.

    It's not about the game anymore or providing an amazing experience to people like you and me, giving us an adventure, a digital getaway.

    This game is fun. Period. Tons of content and ways to progress without spending a dime. i bought battle pass and i'll do it again. Needs better PC UI but they will fix that. Always though Metacritic was about how fun a game is. Guess not.

    I was never optimistic about this game when it was first announced at blizzcon as a pure mobile instalment, but morbid curiosity caught my interest. I managed to play the game up to level 30 as a wizard and found the pc adapted controllers clunky and had many experiences with complete loss of control of my character resulting in near deaths. In the end I stopped playing purely because of the monetization and have been following the headlines since and seen other problems with the game play such as a 2 hour allotted slot for dedicated pvp and the likes.

    Rumours and speculations surrounding Diablo IV's development heading down a similar path is also disconcerting and I am very much leaning against the side of the fence that does not have blizzard on it if things keep progressing the way they have with immortal's release and the mounting controversy surrounding Activision Blizzard who have gone from being a stellar developer (Pre Activision) and has now been on a steady decline riddled with lawsuits and corruption, much like the coveted game franchise they are now trying to keep alive.    … Expand

    - Still impossibly low odds even if you do spend $20 per rift. A streamer spent $10,000 without getting a single 5 start gem(of which you need a ton to have BiS end game).

    Played about 20 hours on iPhone and PC. This game is a worse version of D3, which released 10 years ago. Except, you have to pay money to play the same content you already completed 100 times in D3. The classes are less interesting, the gameplay is repetitive, and the micro-transactions are predatory.

    Everyone who spends time and money on this game will leave with nothing but regret.

    Instructions
    In a large pot over medium heat, add in ground sausage and ground beef. Use a spoon to break up the meat into small pieces. Add in onion and garlic and cook until meat is well browned, stirring constantly. Stir in sugar, fresh basil, fennel, oregano, 1/2 teaspoon salt, pepper, and 1/4 cup chopped parsley. Pour in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and wine*. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and simmer 1-4 hours, stirring occasionally.
    Meanwhile, place lasagna noodles into the bottom of a pan. Pour hot tap water directly over the noodles, making sure the pasta is completely immersed in the water. Let them soak for 30 minutes, then drain and discard water.
    In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese with egg, remaining 2 tablespoons parsley, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and nutmeg. Refrigerate until ready to assemble lasagna.
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease a deep 9×13 pan.
    To assemble, spread about 1 cup of meat sauce in the bottom of the prepared pan. Place 4 noodles on top. Spread with 1/3 of the ricotta cheese mixture. Top with 1/4 of mozzarella cheese slices. Spoon 1 1/2 cups meat sauce over mozzarella, then sprinkle with 1/4 cup parmesan cheese. Repeat layering two more times to create three complete layers. To finish, place a final layer of pasta, topped with another 1 cup of meat sauce to cover the pasta. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Cover loosely with aluminum foil.
    Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil, and bake an additional 25 minutes to allow cheese to brown. Serve hot.

    4. The lack of response from Blizzard to their community (if you don't count semantical tweets about whether or not P2W items are considered gear).

    It would not be a surprise to see in-game advertising showing up soon. Ads seem to be the only shameless cash-grab tactic that Blizzard hasn't yet implemented. Maybe ads were deemed too risky? Players might try a different game while waiting weeks for the RNG bonuses you need for a particular item.

    Maybe I'm just butt-hurt about how badly Blizzard has bastardized one of the most beloved series I've grown up with. I'll admit, I did enjoy the first couple of hours of this game. I would've probably bought this game, if turned out to be more than what it actually is - a rigged mobile gacha app, rife with deceptive business practices under a bit of pretty wrapping paper.

    Diablo Immortal is a simplified and more accessible version of the series that can still provide hours of mindless fun and entertainment. Sadly, the games suffers in the long run because of all the tedious grinding and the greedy monetization system, making a game experience that starts as very enjoyable much less so as time goes on.
