    The game core itself isn't that bad. The thing that makes this game terrible is unethical mikro transaction system, it is just soo bad, I can't even find proper words. That's why I feel so bad for the developers, since that made a good game, but blizzard destroyed everything with their enormous greed.     Let's pretend for a moment there were no Micro(?)transactions or any P2W mechanics in this game.

    As a PC game it is, well, not a PC game. It was clearly designed as a mobile game and it shows. To be fair, the game runs surprisingly well on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. As a mobile game, if we were in a no microtransaction or P2W realm, it would be the first game I would be ready to pay    Let's pretend for a moment there were no Micro(?)transactions or any P2W mechanics in this game.

    As a PC game it is, well, not a PC game. It was clearly designed as a mobile game and it shows. To be fair, the game runs surprisingly well on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7.

    As a mobile game, if we were in a no microtransaction or P2W realm, it would be the first game I would be ready to pay full AAA concole/PC game price. I would gladly pay 60€ (maybe even more). without the monetizing crap, this game would be pretty good.

    NOW, the microtransactions and P2W mechanics are just predatory in this game. As many more have already explained, endgame content is basically hidden behind paywalls. Yes, plural. Not only that, it is constructed in a way that, if you payed for anything, the game compels to pay for more things so the money you invested is not wasted (as if it wasn't already).

    One example: you have a free battlepass that gives you some useful items if you play enough. You can pay for a "Empowered Battle Pass" for 5€ that gives you better stuff (in addition to what you get from the free one), including 1 cosmetic at rank 1 and another at rank 40. NOW HERE IS THE DEAL: first few levels, you progress at an acceptable rate, but the more you progress, the more you have to play to progress. And guess what? If you feel you are not making rank 40 before the end of the season, you can just pay to rank up.

    This is just 1 example of how predatory this game is.

    I'm not crazy about microtransactions for things like skins and cosmetics and I have absolutly no problem with P2W in single player games where stupid people who just want to rush trough it. But P2W in multiplayer games should absolutely be illegal. And I'm not even talking about the loot box mechanics in this game... No wonder this game is already illegal in Belgium and The Netherlands.

    As a massive Diablo fan, I'm pretty sure this is the beginning of the end for this franchise.    … Expand

    But that's why the end game is all about the leaderboards, and clan wars, and made the whole game a competition instead of the lovely pve grind that it used to be. To feed into the idea that we need to pay. And keep paying. And keep paying. Then they added caps on everything else, so you CANT farm your way to victory in any realistic amount of time.

    Blizzard is a shadow of what it used to be. I'm quitting this dumb money hole of a "game," and may never look at another Blizzard game the same way again. Fking dbags abusing their fanbase like this...    … Expand

    If you can ignore the typical mobile cash grab stuff(like every mobile game for the past 10 years)
    It's a decent game. I've already put a good 50+ hours for free in and haven't had the feeling I've HAD to pay at all. People complain they HAVE to pay to skip the grind, what else would you play Diablo for?

    game is a fine arpg, lore and story are from the original diablo, F2P, you can play and enjoy the game without spending but you need to grind for resource (after a week i'm lvl 53 mage with several legendary items playing 2-3 hour a day).
    Most of the complains i see come from people that want a full legendary OP pg right now when the game is just a week old

When I finally got to that level, I found out that the PvP mode is only available for 2 hours per day. Are you freaking kidding me? This is the most idiotic design choice I have ever seen in a multiplayer game. I was so frustrated that I did all that grinding, only to not be allowed to play PvP. When I finally got the chance to play it, I easily got destroyed by whales that spent money on microtransactions. I was losing it that I went through all this trouble, only to get destroyed by pay-to-win microtransactions. This outrageous greed makes EA and Take-Two look like saints in comparison. The only thing immortal about this game is Blizzard's pathetic desperation for money.

    It's funny that Blizzard brags about committing to quality. What quality? All these greedy and lazy developers have ever done in their life is make overpriced and outdated low quality garbage. This is the same greedy game studio that charges $15 per month to play a low quality pile of trash from 2004. They are the same studio that charged $40-$60 for an always online low quality bareboned garbage that is Overwatch, which should have been a free-to-play game to began with. Again, where is the quality? Even EA and Ubisoft make better quality games, and you don't see them bragging about quality.     The game, as soon as you finish the tutorial an reach lvl 60, limits you in pretty much anything you can do, except for spending money for progress, gear obtained without paying is not tradable while paid gear is, some of these limits force players into toxic behaviour (kicking people who don't/can't contribute enough crests in raids, excluding people who don't pay or don't spend enough)

    The game is filled with psychological manipulation precisely designed to get people addicted to spending money for advantage or even just to get rewards they already earned, information is purposefully obfuscated to hide important things from players

    The amount of time or money needed to finish a single character build at launch (without unevitable power creep in future content) was calculated to about 40 years (yes, four decades) of daily play or roughly 250-500 thousand usd. For a single build, that is not tradable to your other characters.

    This game is not only abusive casino disguised in Diablo's clothing, it's a threat to the future of gaming.

    Ruined what could have been a decent game with the most egregious monetization I have ever seen. The sheer greed is breathtaking to behold. More manhours probably went into the monetization model and consulting with psychologists to prey upon human weaknesses than the actual game. There should be a special place in Hell for the people who made up this monetization model.

    The game is quite enjoyable at first glance, but due to predatory monetization it cannot be rated higher than 0. It's a pity because I have been a fan of the Diablo series since the first game in 1997. Hopefully more countries will enact laws banning gaming machines devouring your money under the guise of gaming.

    Sad I waited so long for this, I wish they had just made the monetization purely cosmetic based, but buying power makes the leader boards and PvP mean absolutely nothing. It makes Diablo and the other lords of Hell not seem as bad as Blizzard and Netease who are the true Prime Evils

    Grind? It's paymuch2grind. I might not mind paying for better loot but not 100+ of dollars.
    Characterbuild? You can't build your Character without spending tons of money.
    Story? Not really, there are many better games with an awesome story.
    Simply put: The game is too expensive and nothing special story wise

    Нельзя поиграть для By и Ru игроков.
    Прочитал отзывы и понял, что не стоит её играть, так как из игры сделали донатную помойку.

    What more can be said about this game? It's moderately fun until you hit endgame and then there's nothing left do do unless you want to spend $10k/month. Normal p2w games make sure the endgame is decent for f2p as well as low spenders. Blizzard decided to make it miserable for all but the biggest whales.

    Very disappointed with this game, I wanted to play it, but it is really discouraging knowing I will never ever ever catch up to people who pay to play the game. a lot of things are time-gated so you can only do, or have a chance at, x amount of things per day/month. I refuse to open my wallet at all for Blizzard, this is a straight up cash grab of a game, and they should be ashamed of themselves.

I even bought the battle pass (with google rewards) to see how much $5 a month will get you as an active player.     I’ll start this review off positively (but please don’t assume it’s all positive) with the fact that the game is fun. I played a wizard and tried out a few different builds with my favorite being the lazer crystal build. It’s a blast summoning a crystal and shooting my lasers into it to then have them hit EVERY enemy on screen. Even in PvP this build is super fun to pilot and even snagged me MVP in a match. The main reason I played the game long enough to make this review is because it is fun to play. I saved all my crests during the leveling process for when I hit max level, and when I did I popped them all. This is when my view of the game changes drastically.

    When I finished the main story and hit level 60 I had 24 rare crests and 3 legendary crests. This allowed me to do 8 rare runs and 1 legendary run since each rift takes 3 crests (I’ve seen some people use 10 per run, but I couldn’t find out how). In total from the rare runs I got one 1 star legendary gem, and from the legendary run I got two 2 star legendary gems, and one two star legendary gem that could max out at 5 stars. Essentially the gems I got were pretty trash since a 5 out of 5 star gem is the best. Now this would be fine besides the fact that the rare crest gets you basically nothing, and the legendary crest are far from common. The only reliable way to get legendary crests is to buy them. Until I spend money there is very little for me to do besides the daily grind, and weekly battle pass points grind. Those two grinds will result in a barely noticeable power increase, and eventually once I gain all my legendary gear, nothing at all.

    This was not surprising however since the game hints at how money hungry it is. Every time you complete a new dungeon during the main story the game will offer a one time purchase bundle. These bundles start cheap and they claim to be high value, but as you get further they start to get more expensive and give less. Though the values they claim they have are all completely made up since they all have a skin included in them. These skins are what the game considers to have all the value. All these bundles are trying to do is to get players to make that first purchase, and once a player spends for the first time it is easier to get them to make a second. Even with the $5 battle pass (there is a more expensive one) I didn’t really see much of a difference. I managed to get a couple low star gems, and some materials for gear enhancement. There are even more places to spend money than what I said so far. Item rewards for every 5 levels, additional bundles, battle pass levels, monthly subscription, skins, additional currency, so on and so on. Oh and every purchase affects only ONE character.

    At this point I think my time with Diablo Immortal is done. I play mobile games as a F2P player outside of spending Google Rewards, and this game is definitely not F2P friendly after level 60. I would suggest that players avoid this game, but if you do play just stop at level 60. If you are really craving some Diablo gameplay just go play Diablo 3. Even with its great gameplay I have to give Diablo Immortal a 2 out of 10 because of its monetization.    … Expand

    Expect more of a Diablo 3 experience (read: inferior Diablo 1 & Diablo 2 knockoff) but now with copious amounts of in-your-face predatory monetization and actual "lose to the other guy because he paid more real money dollars than you did" endgame. This one is a big Yikes from me.

Just run around and spam 3 buttons without thinking for a small dose of dopamine when you get good loot, that is if you spend money.

    It pains me too see an iconic game developing company go down the path of endless greed. I really dislike pay-to-win games but more than that I hate lootbox/gambling games. Unfortunately this game contains the worst of both worlds as it is P2W but also when you pay you basically need to still get lucky in order to get the items that you want… exactly like a loot-box mechanic… which isIt pains me too see an iconic game developing company go down the path of endless greed. The sales tactics used appear to play on several psychological factors of gamers and also I believe praying gambling like addictions to some extent. I encourage everyone willing to look further into this issue and many helpful videos have been posted. Not only is this disgusting game terrible in its own right, it pushes the boundaries of gross monetization for other companies to follow when they create games.

    The classes and skills are mainly just copied from Diablo 3, which I've already played on PC and console. That fact alone makes it disappointing. But adding an extreme MTX system on top of that is absurd. If they released this game and focused on selling cosmetics and maybe minor loot chests, it would have been decent. This model is just an insult to Diablo fans.

    The only game I have ever rated a 0. Extreme monitization pushed in your face. Long gone is the Blizzard of the late 90's early 2000's. This Blizzard is a money hungry monster that takes their best IP's and turns them into soulless cash grabs.

    Diablo Immortal is a simplified and more accessible version of the series that can still provide hours of mindless fun and entertainment. Sadly, the games suffers in the long run because of all the tedious grinding and the greedy monetization system, making a game experience that starts as very enjoyable much less so as time goes on.
