Gameplay is not bad Diablo 3 on phone, but Pay to Win is pure evil.. same as not possible to disable zillions on notifications and reward just for sing into game.

It's a decent game, held back by greedy, exploitative monetization. What a shame.

Ok so I can understand why people is so mad at this gamee because it makes you pay money to thee game , it is hard if you don't pay money. But its not necessary. Even if you don't pay money to the game , it is fun to play. Even if it is a little exaggerated.

No doubt, the mircotansactions are straight from hell. There is VERY CLEARLY a level curve that pushes you to buying orbs and crap.
Its a free to play game. I do expect my self to toss a few bucks at F2P games.
But this is just pure evil on blizzards part. Other than that the game is amazing. Voice actors are amazing, the game play is fun the touch controls are better than a controller?!

The cash-grab mobile we all expected. In fact we all thought it would be much worse, but instead it is decent and remains a free way to approach Diablo without spending a penny. If you like it, you can deepen the experience by enjoying the previous three chapters of the saga (instead of throwing money at a bottomless, endless p2w mechanic, typical of most mobile games.)

The hatred towards this game is weird. I grew up on D1 + D2: LoD and have put over 300 hours into D3. This is a clone of D3, so apart from a new story don't expect anything ground breaking. The graphics are nice, the story seems decent, the audio is good and I've yet to find a bug. A feature I love and wish other big games would also do is the play while downloading. This game isn't perfect but it isn't a 0.4 (which it currently sits at). Expand

    GOOD

Some of the new fighting mechanics like auto-attack and move on the same button hold, and attacking while moving work really good on all platforms and I'm sure we will see them more often in the future. The gameplay is generally spot on, as usual in Diablo games.

They adapted and improved many things from Diablo 3, like rifts. The game works better as an MMO without seasons. Instead, the ladders for the specific content are periodically reset.

Then there are some nice new clan and faction mechanics in here, like the shadow war that lets players engage in clan battles and it could make for a worthwhile mobile and PC game.

    BAD

The party finder is terrible. Only two weeks after realease, you often spend more time waiting than playing, because the content is too spread out. The people who implemented this can't do basic math.

Then there's some UI problems with the party search. It adds players that are either afk or in another area and can't join the quest you are queueing for. So all players are asked to confirm that they're ready and that fails because of those players, and then repeats forever. Players who can't join or refuse to join should be kicked from the group automatically.

The microtransactions. I don't even mind that much, unless the game throws them in my face all the time. And Diablo Immortal does that by giving me some useless free junk every day to make me pay attention to the store. Guess what - that won't make me buy anything. It's just annoying and makes me dislike the game.

Unfortunately, Blizzard broke their word and microtransactions can give paying players quite a huge advantage, even though the normal progression as a free to play player generally feels good. I think this will turn out to be a good short term and a very stupid long term decision for them - so exactly what you would expect from game management these days.

I'd even be happy to spend some dollars on good skins or stash space, but I will out of principle not buy anything in a game when it lets players become stronger through microtransactions.

    VERDICT

In the end you have a game that could be genuinely good, but a lot of potential is wasted by short-sighted management decisions and Blizzard's reputation will probably suffer from this.

Its all about grind. It may take a little time to farma some gear, but after all we are takling about Diablo. I have to say that the grind Is super fun, with active real-time online community. There are many events and tasks to play, i have Bern playing since release. Still enjoy playing

Fix the legendary gem monetization and this game is perfect. All other pay systems(Battle Pass, etc) are fine in this game but the legendary gems need some rethinking.

On the one hand, this game is getting review bombed by a legion... On the other hand, it's not really that great. Mouse controls feel terrible and it's still strangely unresponsive with a controller. The story is not cringe, but it's not captivating either (like Diablo 2's Marius cinematics we're). Itemization is blander than the story. All in all, not horrible, but not good either. ThisOn the one hand, this game is getting review bombed by a legion... While it’s not as polished as it’s mobile version the PC version is just as good, could use some improvements to controls and HDR support but it’s in beta so expected.

The amount of people who gave this an 0 out of 10 are literally delusional. This game is "decent" at best, which means it's automatically the best Diablo game built to date. I don't care if the game is good or not, honestly. I do, however, feel the need to tell you that almost all of the 0 out of 10 reviews are from people who think Fortnite's battle pass is literal witchcraft, and that all Free to Play games are evil chinese malware. I'm being dead serious.

If you don't cry like 90% of the tryhard reviews here it is a decent game. If you don't rush, dont' want to be #1 world etc. it is a fine game to just play. The story is simple but it works good for the game purpose. WSAD is nice to have in a Diablo game, beign able to see other players in the world is nice (it will be in D4, Diablo Immortal was first to implement this). Builds are simple but effective, there is autorun and autonavigation that kinds makes it feels bad on PC, but you know, it is a standard in mobile games.

This game obviously lacks customization, has a lot of microtransaction and kinda weird UI for PC ( should have a PC-designed UI with PC resolution, it is just a mobile UI which kinda looks bad on PC).

So, if you want to push your last sweat to be the best, you will need a lot ot money and this game is rated 0. If you just want to play, it can provide fun and it is rated 7.

I was actually expecting a really bad game, but I had a lot of fun playing it. The gameplay is great (better than Diablo 3), my favorite classes are there, character customization is the better addition here, plus the armor and weapon designs are really interesting. The social features, like raids and such are OK and I didn't even touched the store, which is the biggest flaw in this game.

game is a fine arpg, lore and story are from the original diablo, F2P, you can play and enjoy the game without spending but you need to grind for resource (after a week i'm lvl 53 mage with several legendary items playing 2-3 hour a day).

It's a great amount of content for a mobile game, and geniuinely a very well made game (if not basically a reimagining of D3). Main negative is the monetization model, and the caps on power and progress if you aren't paying exorbitant amounts.

I happened to start playing not long ago after BK class was released. And also after I played D4 recently.
Overall, it's 30-50 hours of pretty fun PvE gameplay with an Ok main story and cool bosses until the level cap and almost without any grind (maybe 3-5 hours total only). At this point, I'm a casual F2P daily bounty player with 70+ paragon levels and capable of killing

2 merits I'd like to point out are:
    - The ability to change your class starting from level 35 - 1 time per 24h (gear is swapped to a proper one) with the possibility of reverting if you didn't like it. So no alts are needed, really.
    - You don't need to re-enchant, re-gem your gear when you equip a new piece - the game suggests you to apply all enchants of the previous item to a new one.

P.S. I guess it's more playable now than on release. Hope this helps you to decide to play.

After the WWII ended, there was a rise of certain phenomena among indigenous population of the Pacific, called “cargo cult”. It feels like the very same cultists were in charge of Diablo Immortal: it has superficial resemblance to the real thing, but it lacks any real substance. [Issue#260, p.36]

Diablo Immortal is a simplified and more accessible version of the series that can still provide hours of mindless fun and entertainment. Sadly, the games suffers in the long run because of all the tedious grinding and the greedy monetization system, making a game experience that starts as very enjoyable much less so as time goes on.

Diablo Immortal seems like a project created with the sole purpose of using the good name of Diablo to rub the players of their money. Definitely one of the worst games ever came out of Blizzard.
