    This is an awesome and best game for smartphone and PC in Diablo style, big + there are cross progression. This is not P2W game, cose you can't buy stats, weapons/armor and of course legendary gems. Diablo immortal have few minor problems with restrictions but this is not a critical. Thanks blizzard for a such beautiful game ❤️

It's absolutely not the Diablo-like experience that Blizzard promised, even though they kept lying about it. The cancer that is Bobby Kotick has spread irreversibly.

    I played for 2 days and then hit a pay wall. This game is the most abusive, deceptive, and manipulative showcase of monetization I have ever seen. It does nothing but lower the reputation of a company that was once beloved in the gaming industry. They will take your money and then leave you feeling empty. Don't bother it is never worth it.

    This shouldn't even be called a PC game. Its a really bad port of a mobile cash grab. Others kight talk about the pay 2 win aspect. I'd like to tell you how awful the graphics and gameplay is. My 8 yo niece can be good at the game. There's no difficulty to talk about. Boring after 30 minutes.

The campaign is short and easy then you hit a HUGE wall requiring purchases to proceed at anything but a snails pace. Ultimately this game is not worth your time and you should NOT play it. Diablo Immortal is not just pay 2 progress on a high level, but Pay2Win on a level even the worst pessimists did not predict. Besides that the gameplay is boring. However, your character gets most of his strength from legendary gems, which you can hardly get as an f2p player. So if you enjoy running dungeons to dismantle 99% of the loot, this is the game for you. By the way, you cant really do much with the ressources you'll receive by dismanteling the items.

    I recommend playing any other game before downloading this one.

But fun, technically impressive and filled with a lot of cool things in terms of small gameplay ideas and fun lore tidbits (we can fight Baal together with Zoltun Kulle and Tal Rasha! :) Even the rare tongue-in-cheek 4th wall breaks ("I have to wait ... it seems." and "He knows IThis really makes me more sad than it should. Diablo Immortal is actually a pretty good game! Simplified, yes.     Who deserves to be thrown into the sewer on the other hand are the execs (and probably NetEase Games). The unscrupulous amount of pay-to-win and hidden caps for Free-to-play players borders on pure evil. They are preying on the vulnerable few, that cannot resist the constant insidious call to spend a little bit of money. And then some more.

    We have to fight this **** so that it does not spill over to PC and full price games. That's why I reactivated my old Metacritic account to give this 0. Because I actually give more than 0 **** about what is happening to one of my favorite IPs ever.

    Ironically the only other review I ever gave here was a defense of Diablo 3 a decade ago ... how times change.    … Expand

Even if you buy a Battle Pass, the game doesn't get a bit better or different - the few materials that are extra for it as well as the cosmetic items just can't convince. What completely ruins it though, are the "microtransactions". The game is designed around them, intentionally making gameplay annoying unless one pays a lot. I wouldn't mind paying $60 as a one-off price, but this game is sooo predatory. ItI have been a huge fan of Diablo since Diablo 2 about 20 years ago. This game is by far the worst in the series. Gameplay is mediocre, very repetitive. What completely ruins it though, are the "microtransactions". The game is designed around them, intentionally making gameplay annoying unless one pays a lot. I wouldn't mind paying $60 as a one-off price, but this game is sooo predatory. Effectively in the game it does not matter what you do, whoever spends more is the winner. The most disgusting thing however is that people who swipe their credit card all day are actually supporting this. Look there are many p2w games out there, or if you want there are many games that need to make money. But this is the worst moneytrap ever created probably.     Holy predatory smokes. Gave it a fair shake for a week and it's just a constant barrage of prompts to spend more and more money. It kills any sense of adventure or fun. Not that there is much of either. The only complexity the game has is in it's various methods of monetization.

    P2W garbage, but foremost don't forget the Face detection, Facial analyzer and Landmark tracker. The Devs said it should have been removed before the launch and hopefully will be removed in the future. But I don't think they will, trust NetEase at your own risk.

    The gameplay is pretty good, but it's impossible not to mention the pay to win model. I suggest you install and play and ask yourself if PvP battles are fair. Unfortunately, it's a game for those who want to feed their own EGO.

    Made a MC account just to comment on how disgusted I am with Blizzard. I remember coming here for what they did with WC3 reforged. Absolutely gutted one of my childhood favorite by basically telling creators anything they make is owned by blizzard(so another dota 2 can't happen).     While the port works, the controls are not meant for pc, so it's really clunky on mouse+keyboard, and the controller support is again, technically works. Here is the end of the good stuff.     The game is filled with microtrasactions, there are 21 different currencies and the game isn't consumer friendly. Blizzard claims to be putting players experience at the top but this game proves otherwise

    Crashed while creating character. Not a clean port to PC. I hate games that require online connections and this one requires it so they can ensure any fun you have costs $$$.

    The game sounds a lot like the rpgs of the year 2000, and back then there were better ones. For a game nowadays it has no graphics, no gameplay, the missions are empty and meaningless. It's a game without any difference, it only takes the name of a famous franchise. Not to mention the scandals involving in-game purchases and modifications to benefit those who pay.

I'm so old that the original Diablo was an astonishing technical achievement when I first got it to play on a Pentium 2, and I still have my original CDROM and paper manuals I'm saving for posterity. I've spent hundreds of hours playing every Diablo game. I have Level 70 Diablo III characters for every class. What about Immortal? I enjoyed the solo campaign story of Immortal, andI'm old. I enjoyed the solo campaign story of Immortal, and some of the other unique story elements, whenever I could get past, around or through the grinding omni-present micro-transactions. I took one character to Level 60 in Immortal and finished the solo campaign. I can't be bothered to count them, but there are more than half a dozen different types of tokens or currencies you use to upgrade, so it's a giant confusing mess which of a dozen different vendors sell which tokens for which upgrades. It really does feel like Activision licensed the Diablo IP to Ayn Rand Objectivists, who gleefully monetized every possible aspect of the game, sucking the life and joy out of the gameplay. There's even an in-game version of the telemarketer calling to tell me that my car warranty has expired. You get constant notifications, like the original leveling concept, access to new skills, and so forth, but some of which are "sales" for various packages of the many in-game tokens, available for a limited time! If you love Diablo, this game is prostitution of one of the greatest gaming genres and IP in the history of computer games in the name of profit. If you've never played Diablo, for the love of all human joy and happiness wait until Diablo IV next year. Shame!… Expand

    The gameplay is actually decent, but this game isn't even a game. It's just a predatory, manipulative piece of software built to squeeze every penny they can out of you. It's disgusting. Corporate greed is actively destroying gaming from top to bottom.

    I have been playing Diablo since Diablo 1 released for PC. This game is nothing but a disgusting cash grab that makes progression impossible in late game without spending money. If anyone tells you free to play is possible they haven't made it far into the game.

    The most horrific pay to win game ever. Its a shame since the core game is good, but the pay to win gating is completely atrocious. Boo Blizzard Boo. I am now not going to support or play any blizzard games. Vote with your dollars people, its the only way corporations will hear you cause thats all they care about.

    Diablo Immortal is a simplified and more accessible version of the series that can still provide hours of mindless fun and entertainment. Sadly, the games suffers in the long run because of all the tedious grinding and the greedy monetization system, making a game experience that starts as very enjoyable much less so as time goes on.

    Diablo Immortal seems like a project created with the sole purpose of using the good name of Diablo to rub the players of their money. Definitely one of the worst games ever came out of Blizzard.
