May 17, 2012Asia server keeps crashing every evening and only comes back on at like 3am. For people who have a job, this game is impossible to play. So yeah, unless you actually let me play the game I paid $60 for, this is going to be a zero.
-
May 17, 2012I've played King's Quest I (released in 1984) with my young girls and had a great time doing it. What do you think the odds are people being able to play this game in 30 years due to the always on DRM?

May 17, 2012Stop online drm, this game have ugly graphics and it's so casual than Diablo II ... I payd this game but I can't play without internet, why you do that, and when I can connect, I play in stranger servers with high ping ...
-
May 17, 2012D3 Asia's server can't login for 3 days, effect millions asia players and official still do nothing for it, I've never seen such a bad customer service like this.

May 17, 2012I loved D2, and I considered buying the game to just playing through it in single player. I live in an area where my internet connection is very slow... if it works at all. I guess I won't be purchasing an online only game.

May 17, 2012Fairly boring, button masher with a significantly dumbed down character system. Making level isn't the exciting event it used to be where you really had to think about your choices. Now you ding and it's like, "Oh, well the system automatically just gave me new stuff." Yawn.
Worst of all is the horrible DRM that makes the game a useless pile of bits if you try without an Internet connection. -
May 17, 2012Funny thing is most of you either pre-ordered or purchased the game on launch even though we all knew about the negative points of the game most of you are voting it down for. Next time use your better judgement and save your money for a game that is worth spending it on and not just for its title.
-
May 17, 2012how a game doest have offline mode is ridiculus what hapeen if I live in a place wheres the acces to the internet is restricted and I what to have some fun whit diablo 3 but aI cannot play whitout the internet is simply stupid hope no more companies do this atrocius decision in a future

May 17, 2012I can not in good faith give this game a score higher than 0 with the awful DRM. With DRM games gets a 0; without DRM game gets a 3. And the only reason I say three is because the background music to the installer was good, the rest of the game is a watered-down, WoW dungeon crawler. This IS NOT DIABLO. Pass on this one and save $60

May 17, 2012What can you do with a play that constantly boots you although you're playing with a gamning machine and have tried a number of possible solutions? Nothing. The game was obviously rushed out to meet the deadlines and the idiotic idea of this once great company to oblige single players to log on has proved a disaster.

May 17, 2012This game is simply Blizzard cashing in on the popularity of Diablo 1 and 2, which are terrific. This game simply has no redeeming qualities. Terrible choppy graphics, laggy game play, irritating sound track. This game is a disaster and probably the beginning of the end of Blizzard Entertainment.
-
May 17, 2012I tried the game on a friend's computer. Graphically pleasing and the sound design is also good. However, the always-on requirement, RMAH, and Battle.Net issues (connection issues that are NOT on my end and provable every time) that I always seem to encounter make it a no-brainer for me.
Blizzard has disappointed me yet again and they will not get my money. -

May 17, 2012This game is so awful. 6 button game are you kidding me. I was bored 3 hours in. This game really really really really really really really really blows.
-
May 17, 2012Online Only for single player, Horrible stylized graphics that look like a wow rip off. Nuff said they ruined the game by making a offshoot of wow instead of making a sequel to Diablo 2.
-
May 17, 2012Sorry, but this game is simply a Diablo II clone. Why did we wait 12 years for this game? There's nothing groundbreaking about it. This game is a waste of money.
-
May 17, 2012Huge disapppointment, past 10 years in development? Then they must have contracted it out to government employees because its nothign more than a watered down cut and paste from Diablo II. They have realized over the years that RMT is going to be THEIR future and still baby their WoW MMO. Not to mention that server stability is utter garbage...

May 17, 2012Complete waste of time and money, can't even play single player due to a ping of 700 consistently. The series is ruined and I wish I bought torchlight instead. Let's get the rating to 3.7

May 17, 2012Not all people have good internet connection and it comes as big suprise that single player campaign requires an internet connection which has no real purpose of the single player experience. Blizzard has now become a company that cares about game sales rather than pleasing the hardcore fans that help them achieve there current status. SUCH A SHAME..

May 17, 2012Simply the largest flop of 2012. No character development, overly simplistic grinding gameplay, overly simplistic skill system, terrible graphics and no replay value. No innovation and buggy as all hell. Bring on GW2.
-
May 17, 2012A Ponzi scheme with absolutely nothing worth going for in return.
Transform your e-penis complexes into amazing gear for real money: Diablo III is here! -

Jun 22, 2012ok so the new patch is out an it is clear all blizzard is trying to do is milk the players for more money not to mention they change the stats on the items on your character even if you payed $$ for them witch renders them useless so i had to re-review this game an its content an give it what it deserves a 0 never buy or play another blizzard activision game

May 17, 2012if you want my review of the game look at koroshiya_ichi review. Gone are the days when blizzard was a gamers company. Now blizzard is just about herding as many casual gamers as possible to play there games. Even if it means abandoning the hardcore gamers that built blizzard to start with. They will not get another penny of my hard earned money.

May 17, 2012I am disgusted by grubs that took a winning model (hello, Diablo II is STILL selling well in stores, grubs!) and clamped something down on it so I CAN'T EVEN PLAY SINGLE PLAYER ON A GAME I JUST BOUGHT. Never again. Do you understand me? No Starscraft, no Diablo, no WOW, nothing. I wash my hands of you.
-
May 17, 2012Online connexion needed for the solo game part??
Such a poor characters creation/customization?
More a beat them all with Hns parts than a real Hns..
All this waitaing for that? LOL
Fortunately for you; the hype from the past .... -
May 17, 20121.5 hours trying to install, I wouldn't even pirate any of your crap. I think your devs were telling the truth that you have been goofing off for ten years knowing you will cash in on name and expectations. Hope your fans remember this in future. I think getting it to install will be biggest test this game will offer.

May 17, 2012The service is very **** at Asia.
When I got the game. I have never connect to battle net steady.
I think Blizzard do a wrong thing. It estimate fail at Asia. -
May 17, 2012Even more repetitive than the others with the REALLY ANNOYING DRM... Disappointing... At least the others were somehow more captivating than this one...
-
May 17, 2012a huge disappointment ! i can't even log on the server the play the game ! Can't you even control the amount of copies you sell ? I guess Blizzard only wants the money and that's all !

May 18, 2012Played through it with a friend in a couple of hours - a great disappointment. The graphics are nice, the controls are good but the depth of the original Diablo games just isn't there - you do not care about the story at all.
-
May 18, 2012
-
May 18, 2012No character customization, no single player offline, Pay2Win auction house, outdated graphic, this is basically WoW 2.0. Shame on you, Blizzard.
-
May 18, 2012The worst server I've ever seen. No way to log in the Asian server easily, the Koreans have done quite well to confirm they shall get all fist-down-boss "achievements" in Asia since no one outside that small country shall get logged in!

May 18, 2012Absolute rubbish. Tried for two hours and still stuck at the first map. Removed from the game every 5 minutes. Error 3007. Considered that the game came out 3 days ago and they still cannot solve such a massive issue, I won't spend a penny on Blizzard's game again.
-
May 18, 2012Always-online DRM is a steaming pile of **** if your servers go down as much as Blizzard's do. Also, should have made the game harder, wtf noobs have already beaten it.

May 18, 2012I've never purchased a game that I could not play until now.
I got his game on Wed and have managed to peice together 45 minutes of interruppted play 10-15 minutes at a time FOR SINGLE PLAYER. Today is Friday. The game is ok, not mind blowing, the experience is horrible. I need a refund this is unusable. -
May 18, 2012
-
May 18, 2012Everyone should avoid this monstrosity at all costs. You have been warned. Blizzard should not be allowed to profit on this nonsense. Just because of the name, they figure they can half ass this and still make money. Guys, we should boycott this.
-

May 18, 2012Diablo is definitively not to be purchased at 50 or 40$. Mandatory internet connection is just wrong. We need solo player. Automatic skills selection is wrong. Tested on a friend PC, I will buy it when it is 10$. Does not deserve more. If you want a real great sequel to Diablo 2 go and support Path Of Exile which is what Diablo 3 should have been.
-

May 18, 2012$59.99 better spent elsewhere.
+ It has the Diablo brand name on it. I guess that's a plus...
- Gameplay, graphics, sound, plot, mechanics, servers (this one MIGHT be fixed, eventually), pay to win auction house, hyper-aggressive Blizzard fanboys, online only -

Aug 31, 2012My one major complaint is that the game never feels very difficult, especially on Normal. There are frustrating moments, hordes of baddies, and increasing difficulty levels, but the same feeling of utter defeat never really happens as it did in the past.
-
Hyper MagazineJul 18, 2012For all the game's missteps, though, you certainly can't accuse Blizzard of phoning it in - if anything, the game suffers from the tendency to try a little to hard at times to evolve the design. [Aug 2012, p.61]
-
Jul 3, 2012When it works, Diablo III is the best of the Diablo games. When it doesn't, all it does is make you mad. [July 2012, p.54]
