May 21, 2012The inability to play offline, repetitive gameplay, predictable plot and sub-par graphics not to mention numerous bugs and connection issues have led me to give this game a 0/10 simply as a way to show my frustration.
-
May 21, 2012The inability of servers to handle load on launch day or any other day is not the issue. Constant all-time online-DRM is just not right and no amount of justification, excuses, amazing gameplay or graphics (not necessarily in this game) can set that right.
-
May 21, 2012I found D3 a great disappointment. The need of a permanent internet connection to play a single player game is absurd. I think they could find a way (offline for single player and online if u want to play with others ppl). In my opinion from this point of view Valve is way above Blizzardâ

May 21, 2012Lousy game forever, waste people money, time and effort. Spit on Blizzard. The only thing they done well is marketing and selling. Blizzard is so lazy now, Diablo 3 lack of design, creativity, story and fighting style.
-
May 21, 2012Blizzards server have security breach, nobody is safe on the servers! I lose all my gold and item after so much time. It is coverup from blizzard

May 21, 2012Lags, bugs a lot and the evil on-line DRM... The Customer Is Always Wrong Blizzard? 11 years waiting for this shi%$#.
Os jogadores brasileiros agradecem a falta de vontade. -
May 21, 2012I purchased this game mostly to play single player. I can't even use the product I purchased because of the Always-online DRM that Blizzard programmed by making a battle.net connection REQUIRED for single player. Bravo, after years of "polishing" I can not play because of your greed. The servers are so overwhelmed I can not log into the single player game. Total BS.

May 22, 2012I like the concept of the game. Most parts feel much like the original game. There is still a significant amount of tweaking that needs to be done for balance and customizing your char. The connection issues make it unplayable. In 2012 this just shouldnt be an issue and is a direct reflection of the poor planning and lack of respect for the gaming community by Blizzard.
-
May 22, 201260£ for a game lasting 2 days in 2012 is not acceptable.. no endgame at all, 3-4 years old graphic, no player customization.. Worst screw up game of the century.. they better collect all the money they can in first month.
With the daiblo franchise they could have done sooooooooo much better
EPIC FAIL -

May 22, 2012Don't bother if you live in Austalia or NZ. Servers are always down our primetime cause we stuck with North American server. Can't even play single player due to constant online DRM. Can only review on the playing experience and pretty boring looking at error 33. Music is tedious after a while.
-
May 22, 2012Horrible waste of money, when the servers are actually online they are abysmally slow.
Doesn't help that I've been looking forward to this game for years... -

May 22, 2012What a disappointment! Blizzard showed they do not give two $hit$ about their fans or what we want. After all this time they could have easily given us a masterpiece but they opted for the easy money. Blizzard will forever be synonymous with greed after this eff up. Shame on you.

May 22, 2012Look at my name. I had both. This game doesn't even have Cow level. Blizzard is the new failure of the decade. We are at a day and age where you no longer have to pay critics to spit out 100/100 reviews; they do it just for pageviews. Brothers unite.
-
May 23, 2012-Repetitve gameplay.
-Boring generic storyline/characters.
-Childish graphics (for a M-rated game! Why? So WoW-Players feel right at home?)
I can't say how much this game turned out to be a disappointment to me.
I have played TD's with deeper gameplay and better storylines than this. -
May 23, 2012Accounts hacked. Poor performance. Auction House down. Short story-line with gameplay made repetitive by boring monsters. This feels like a $20 game, a mediocre $20 game.

May 23, 2012Diablo III is a failure in so many aspects that it'd be impossible to put just in a few words why it's so bad and dissapointing. They had the time, they had de money and resources, they had experience in the gaming world and they also knew what their customers were expecting. Taking all that in consideration, I guess D3 is the biggest Fail in gaming history. To sum up, it has no soul.
-
May 23, 2012Such a buggy mess on the performance side of things. Once things are fixed up I'll review my score.
Waited so long for what? Errors, glitches, stuttering, lag, DCs, poor servers? -
May 23, 2012Horribly over-hyped. First run was fun, but after reaching mid nightmare it was all the same. There is 0 replay value in d3, absolutely no end game content. Horrible decision to make it online-only DRM with no offline single player. Servers are always down or shutting down. Game was pushed out the door 60% complete and will forever be remembered as Blizzards downfall.

-
May 23, 2012A load of hype that appears to have been derived from a purposefully low budget, toss-up of a game in order to make a quick profit. This company has lost all my respect.

May 24, 201260 DH on inferno here. Whole game is based around RMAH. Clear profiteering with little to no effort put into making an innovative or balanced game. Servers are zombified too. You buy and only Kotick wins.

May 24, 2012Nobody at Blizzard played through Diablo 3 or they all suck at RPGs. Jay Wilson (lead designer) claimed it would take at least a month to finish the game. People finished it on the hardest setting in less than 3 days. Their lack of RPG knowledge is reflected in the gameplay. The rampant bugs and server issues speak for themselves.

May 25, 2012Why a zero? I dont even know where to start. Diablo 2 is the best game of all time, i grew up playing DIablo 2 religiously, I played hardcore and developed several players 95+! This game is more WoWed up than anything Diablo 3 should have been. BIG FAIL on Blizzard.

May 25, 2012Completly developed against all diablo fans excpecations. RMAH for the win = 0 points.
Buy your gear in the AH, kill diablo, game over. Blizzard failed so hard with this game, it makes a whole generation of gamers just sad. -

May 25, 2012A bland monetization centric end to a legacy IP. Do yourself a favor and don't waste time on this unless you are fine with playing this game exactly as Blizzard wants you to.
Also if you expect anything like Diablo1 or 2 play torchlight 2 instead cause this is not it! -
May 25, 2012Continuous server downtime, unable to play single-player due to Blizzard server issues. Auction house has been down more than up. HORRIBLE lag that Blizzard insists is MY fault.

May 26, 2012You expect to be able to play a game youve paid $60 for. Especially single player campaign offline when "servers" are down.
Other than that, the game looks like a bad MMO from 10 years ago. -
May 26, 2012A big let down can play single player with out being logged in. graphics are ok nothing big. If they wanted to make a good game then they should have done away with the log in stuff for a single player game i can care less about co-op

-
May 27, 2012As much as I like some of the features of this game, the "always on" internet connection is an instant 0 rating. This is unacceptable. Mind you, I do have a cable, so for me it's less of a problem (although overloaded servers are still a pain), but conceptually the idea just sucks. Single player should NOT be always-online.

no story, no pvp, cookie cutter setups. welcome to blizzard casual gaming department. -
May 29, 2012horrible game i wonder how much blizzard had to pay critics to give it a decent score. shoot, i got into the wrong line of business. i would love to sit at my computer, getting paid to play garbage games, the troll the masses with a perfect score. trash game is trash.
-
May 29, 2012Too easy, too primitive!
A small number of acts, a permanent Internet connection, a primitive script, silly quests, a primitive character development ...
The worst project from Blizzard! -
May 29, 2012Diablo 3 took everything that made Diablo 2 fun and just threw it away. This is a game for casual scrubs. Terrible game, don't buy it. Blizzard used to be the best game developers in the world, it is sad to see how low they have sunk. Oh and by the way, enjoy always having to be online to play when Blizzard's been to cheap to buy decent servers (have fun playing with 150 ms at all times!).

Aug 31, 2012My one major complaint is that the game never feels very difficult, especially on Normal. There are frustrating moments, hordes of baddies, and increasing difficulty levels, but the same feeling of utter defeat never really happens as it did in the past.
-
Hyper MagazineJul 18, 2012For all the game's missteps, though, you certainly can't accuse Blizzard of phoning it in - if anything, the game suffers from the tendency to try a little to hard at times to evolve the design. [Aug 2012, p.61]
-
Jul 3, 2012When it works, Diablo III is the best of the Diablo games. When it doesn't, all it does is make you mad. [July 2012, p.54]
