Jun 13, 2012The worst purchase in years. Technical problems and poor support. But once you get through that, the game is an utter bore. I stuck with it too to find out if it got better. It has to - its Diablo! It doesn't.
-
Jul 14, 2013One giant pile of garbage. They pretty much destroyed the Diablo Lore and did nothing but create a boring game based on making from the auction house for Blizzard. Possibly the dumbest and biggest failure in video game history. Avoid this game like the plague.
-
Jun 15, 2012Lots of connection issues, i rate this game so bad because people cant play it when they want to play, means its not about fun, people just cant play it

Jun 18, 2012DON'T TRUST THE RECENT POSITIVE USER REVIEWS. Diablo 3 has spawned a small army of top tier "investors" who now have a financial interest in seeing that this deeply flawed game receives positive feedback. They don't see you as fellow gamer seeking honest opinions before a $60 purchase, but as a potential mark who will foolishly spend money at Diablo 3's Real Money Auction House.

Jun 19, 2012Not only this game is incredibly boring and repetitive, but the always-on DRM means you can't play offline--meaning when your without internet or during the numerous and lengthy maintenance periods. A complete rip-off.

Jun 20, 2012The game was perfectly fine before the 1.0.3 patch. After it, it's practicly worthless. I play act 2 on inferno and the repair costs are so insane that you go bankrupt all the time. This is outrageous.
There is no use in playing anymore for optaining new items or gold. -

Jun 20, 2012This game has been mutilated beyond all expectation and the "critics" don't know what they are talking about. Jay Wilson is a terrible designer and Blizzard should be ashamed that they put their label on this.
I am not sure which gaming company I despise more, EA or Blizzard... -

Jun 20, 2012Diablo 3 is an awesome game. It's not your standard RPG but I loved the previous Diablo games and I love this one. The only problem is, I didn't pay for a game that I can't play when I want to play it. I understand the need for DRM, but not allowing for solo play off-line was the worst decision made in the history of gaming. For that, they get a zero. If you can't play it, you can't get rated.
-
Jun 20, 2012If you enjoyed previous installments of this series, you will not enjoy this one.
Terrible story.
Terrible loot.
Terrible time investment to loot ratio.
Frequent patches to prevent anyone from playing the game other than the way they want you to.
No variety of builds in end game. -

Jun 20, 2012The game was ok until you got to the last two difficulties of the game, especially the final one. Things are so out of wack the game is pretty much unplayable with certain classes. After the last patch they made so many bad decisions and made the game so much worse it's astonishing this this a Blizzard game. SOLID 0.

Jun 21, 2012This is a fail excuse for a game in one of the best series launched. Pay to Win.. gimme a break. Blizzard continues its streak of fail. Terrible story line, online play only? really ?? I highly doubt there was even a beta test, seems we are STILL beta testing this hunk of ****

Jun 21, 2012Game-play is mind-numbingly repetitive. Players forced to play only online so Blizzard can throw up patches that nerf what little fun existed in the game at first. Unbelievably arrogant developers and employees .who tell players what is fun and what isn't and delete forum threads and ban forum users who are critical and hurt their little feelings. Huge fail for Blizzard.
-
Jun 21, 2012I bought this game because he was remarkable in the past, and today has a similar effect, worth in the past he scored positively, bringing news and entertainment, today is just so much frustration of waiting for a game that is based on the auction house with real money
-
Jun 21, 2012Very Simple Visit the games forums and make a determination for yourself. As you can see the criticts must have been paid nice amounts of money or are not original diablo fans. See on the forums. enough said
-
Jun 21, 2012Awful game play and experience overall. If the original diablo developers were still working for Blizzard it might feel like diablo and more polished. The gear progression only takes place through purchases in the auction house. After 200+ hours on one level 60, I have not found an upgrade to use besides the auction house. Its a big let down for the entire gaming community imo.

Jun 22, 2012remember when blizzard actually cared about what they put out? it is getting harder and harder every time they pump out a game that so clearly takes a dump on gamers.
-
Jun 22, 20120/10 This game was decent before all the nerfs. RMAH ruined this game along with every hotfix/patch implemented since release date. To anyone who hasn't bought this game yet, Please don't. You'll only help blizzard's illusions of a successful game.

Jun 23, 2012Catastrophic disaster. The story is bad, the graphics are obsolete, pay-to-win, takes no skill to actually play the game. And with the latest v1.0.3 they infinitely ruined the game; Repair bills are way too high which forces to grind endlessly. They also nerfed the drop rate of loot considerably so you are force to use the Real-Money Auction House

Jun 24, 201210 years for this sh*t? No lan? Need connection internet everytime you want to play? Graphics sucks, PVP delayed, Too much OP champions and nerfing the wrong ones, a guy finished the game on 12 hours or less? WTF bro! dont buy it, wait till the game has a better price.

Jun 23, 2012Absolutely disappointing and uninspired game which simply circles around a casino-system. Blizzard ransacks the chance for properly working game mechanics which would never disturb the always-online-"experience" in order to generate maximum revenues via the real money auction house.
-
Jun 23, 2012Do you like fun?
If you answered yes to this question, stay far away from this game.
Visuals are solid, sound is solid. Dialogue and story are glue sniffing retarded.
The game has 0 replayability, boring monotonous gameplay and its endgame consists of being an unpaid item farmer.
Horrid game. -

Jun 27, 2012Welcome to the future gaming. A real money item shop in the game for 60$, with a feeble diablo-clone attached to it and sweet-fap-advertisements (reviews). An always online single player mode, with queues to play the single player mode.

Jun 28, 2012They completely screwed up the loot system to promote the auction house. Inferno's difficulty curve is too steep, yet the loot rewards aren't exciting AT ALL, you just hope you get an item with good rolls, sell it on the auction house to buy stuff on it. And Diablo is all about the loot, it's the reason why we run higher difficulties.
-
Jun 30, 2012D3 is a fail. That's it. Playing D2 was a charm, but when you play D3 you can't throw away a strong feeling that it's just a brand exploiting for bringing more money and have nothing in common with a game and pleasure at all. Always online DRM, pay your money and play as we say you to play or get banned with no comments, servers are down
-
Jul 1, 2012It was fun for the first few weeks but just kinda lost interest, gfx are meh, story is predictable, the must have a Internet connection is a pain in the ass.
-
Jul 1, 2012I'm not going into great detail about why I don't like this game because its all been said. But having to log in to play is just sad. I don't know what Blizzard was thinking. This game should not be mentioned in the same breath as Diablo 1 & 2
-
Jul 3, 2012Laggy servers, AH constantly down, Pay2Win, No Endgame, No pvp, mediocre itemisation, No offline mode, idiotic story and power rangers level dialogue, absolutely no sense of freedom like d2, annoying cutscenes every 30 seconds, game built around RMAH, multiplayer worthless + Bnet 2.0 = ghost town effect. This game is DEAD already.
-
Jul 4, 2012Gameplay is not rewarding, poor drop chance make game pay-to-win oriented, and error 37 (as others)
-
Jul 4, 2012I don't understand why all the big magazine give this game a 80-90 rating. It's one of the games which doesn't make any fun after 7-9 hours. The drop rate is quite poor, you can think because of the auction house , the game went to a pay-to-win game. SP should be offline, that's why it's called SP. For me one of the most disappointing game this year, only the hype wins.
-
Jul 6, 2012Ugh. Played it for about two weeks on and off, then everything just became extremely boring. Nothing to make you want to keep going, nothing to make you want to level every class, and I'm pretty sure i could say about 100 other bad things.

Aug 13, 2012It seems to me that Blizzard has so much money to pay critics. It's extremely evident and this is what is wrong with the world we live in. This game is the biggest garbage I've ever played. DRM nuff said...

Jul 7, 2012Path of Exile is an awsome game, its a 1000 times better then Diablo 3 funny how the bets games are the free to play games. I will never spend money on anything associated with Activision or Blizzard again, Diablo 3 was nothing more then a scam.
-
Jul 7, 2012This is a game made by Satan himself(Bastard even got his generic name in the title) that summons an horde of demons to torture our kids while playing it, and make them too attached to money with the evil Auction House. All christian games should stay away from this game if they want to be saved.

Jul 7, 2012Really a super quick bored game, it only took 2 days and i feel like want to throw up when launching diablo 3. I think it better if diablo 3 were a real-mmorpg game like world of warcraft. I want my money back.
-
Jul 8, 2012Great gameplay, but completely overshadowed by everything else. Game is designed around the auction house, and item are completely boring and uncreative.
-
Jul 10, 2012I loved diablo 2 and played it for many years, it was and still is one of the best games ever, but diablo 3 has nothing of it. Its boring, its frustrating and absolutly no fun at all. In 2 words, EPIC FAIL. Its realy funny that metascroe is at 88... this game deserves not more than 50... and thats too much for this crap.

Aug 31, 2012My one major complaint is that the game never feels very difficult, especially on Normal. There are frustrating moments, hordes of baddies, and increasing difficulty levels, but the same feeling of utter defeat never really happens as it did in the past.
-
Hyper MagazineJul 18, 2012For all the game's missteps, though, you certainly can't accuse Blizzard of phoning it in - if anything, the game suffers from the tendency to try a little to hard at times to evolve the design. [Aug 2012, p.61]
-
Jul 3, 2012When it works, Diablo III is the best of the Diablo games. When it doesn't, all it does is make you mad. [July 2012, p.54]
