It's story is TERRIBLE, and clearly written for young children. It's abilities are not too bad, but lack the depth and strategy Diablo 2 allowed for.

    The skill loadout would have been a good idea for some brand new game, but most Diablo    Blizzard must have paid off the critics on here. This, as a Diablo series game, is a joke. It's abilities are not too bad, but lack the depth and strategy Diablo 2 allowed for.

    The skill loadout would have been a good idea for some brand new game, but most Diablo fans wanted the in depth character skill customization Diablo 2 offered. The mods to each ability just feel lazy on the developer's part as well. Item stats are randomized on even high end items, and unlike Diablo 2 they are mostly pure stats. This just makes gearing very boring. And finally they seem to have intentionally designed it to make it as easy as possible for players to leech xp without doing any of the work. If they aren't in the same zone they still get some xp, can't be kicked, and will get summoned to bosses automatically when you start the fight.

    Terrible waste of time of a game, doesn't even have half of the features its prequel did over 10 years ago. Don't waste your money. Making loot not drop to drive the real money auction house, so they can profit on micro-transactions.

Finding gear becomes boring as 99.9% of drops are garbage, unlocking new abilities not rewarding because most of the suck. When the game came out the balance was flat out BROKEN in inferno. It still is but nowhere near as much. Using the auction house is MANDATORY and so is gearing and speccing defensively inSomehow they managed to remove all the fun factor from diablo in this sequel. Spend the same gold on a monk and you'll barely be able to do mp3, and die a lot. There's just no point in playing anything but a barb. Story is terrible and completely forgettable. Also blizzard are doing their usual thing and promising things and never deliver. They promised pvp, It's STILL not in the game. Some boss mechanics are flat out broken. Like act 2's boss can hit you and kill you in one hit before you can even react.… Expand

    Long time Diablo and Old Blizzard fan that had the unfortunate experience of playing this pay to win scam game in which the makers do not listen to feedback and try to avoid the real issues with the game. No game deserves a 0, but I must give it one in the hopes it keeps people from buying this on console and/or pc. Trust the users on this one folks; the game is garbage

    The game could be good, but the people making the game keeps making it worse with new patches. Blizzard is not the same it once was, the people working at Blizzard ain't same and I think everyone can see this. They only makes the game worse instead of better with patches. Other companies i prove the game, but Blizzard are fifferent and make it worse..

    This game is a completely failure from the whole base. It was created for being an Auction House with graphics, nothing else. As an ARPG, this game doesn't even let you how to build your character. The personalization in this area is null. You can't level up your stats nor your skills.     I can't believe how some of the official reviewers can be so blind. Especially Polygon for giving a score of 100.

    After 45hrs of gameplay you think you can give a grinding game a score? Since this game is made to grind, you need at least 300 hours of gameplay before you can judge. When I say 300hrs, I mean on one character alone.

You can't even change your freaking language. Another beloved franchise is ruined and you should be playing PoE instead. DON'T BUY DIABLO 3, seriously, it's a waste of money

The heroes/characters you play are very annoying and so are the npc's who follows you.     Blizzard got everything wrong when developing Diablo III. Even the graphics do not do the originals justice. The enemies and levels are drab and uninspired. Mini games and creative side quests would have been a welcome addition. The loot sucked and the always on DRM was a disaster. The classes were very "Meh", Path of Exile is far better IMO.

This game has the money and backing and is being sold in every direction possible but ask any fan of the diablo franchise what they thought about this game and they will hold back their tears as they tell you about the single most disappointing event in their gaming careers.

The graphics and content look doesn't match the subject matter. It plays like a 1-2 day console game when it's predecessor was a never-ending dungeon crawling masterpiece. I install the game and I´m hit with an incredible disappointment, I never thought I´d care so much about offline playability but now i know.     The graphics are too rainbow bright, cartoonish and girly. The dialogue is cheese and the story is lacking. The art style is too much like World of Warcraft.

    This game don't look like best H&S ever. But it should be after several years of production, previously experience and budget etc. They probably spend most of that time on think how much money get from that "product". It is all reason of where it lead to. This title is not worth any attention anymore.

All you do is stacking 5x Nephalem in Festering Wood then you enter a prepared crypt in mp10 and you level the same character class up to 100 all over again to get a paragon 1000 toon in the next expansion.     From the get go this game was ruined. People say now, after two years since launch, that the game is finally what it should have been. Well, that's two years too late, and they have the balls to charge 40$ for an upcoming expansion with 20%- 25% new content? I'd throw 15$ at Blizzard just to own the expansion, even if i won't play it. 40 bucks ? Good bye.

    I remember my hp having a RPG similar to Diablo3. the greater differences however is that the hp game had more; character classes, actual character customization, it was FREE!,The list could go on Diablo 3 is a bastardization of what a good game should be, and i am ashamed that i spent any money buying a copy.

    But maybe the worse is its "DRM" system without offline mode, so you can't play it without a connection even in single player campaign, and of course you can't improve it with mods, so, you has a "successor" of a game with Offline, LAN and Online, but without two of its game modes, is one of the few times in which a successor has LESS than its predecessor...

    I will not mention the "Pay2Win" from earlier version but shame of you Blizzard for convert the best ARPG franchise in a parody at each possible level, shame!

    I finish my disclaimer pointing that its "expansion" (that is not an expansion but a different game, should be named "Diablo 4"), has changed almost ALL of the gameplay confirming (directly from Blizzard itself) that the original Diablo 3 sucks.

    Blizzard, I will never forgive you, you can be awesome in the rest of your games but converting Diablo 3 in a MMO like WoW (and its "expansion" confirms this tendency) is a crime against the people who made this franchise famous.    … Expand

    the Game itself can make much fun but the Champions,Bosses and Portal Guards are just unfair und a Pain to fight against. i don't know why i need to play as Demon Hunter against a group of 6 champions which can Teleport me and themself, block my way and pull me every time to them and they got more Abilities.... What's the point in dealing billions of damage when you die in 1 hit only. I've been playing the ninja Set for a looooong time just because this is the only Set which is tanky enough not to die just by being smiled at. I even have equiped so many gear which reduces the incomming dmg in % amount but still I get ONE SHOT. Guess the Ninja is the only set / class which is left to me.

    2021: Well Blizzard is still not able to balance classes / Sets. Some classes are much stronger, faster than others. It's just a joke that one class can flye through the maps and other is like a snail that is trying to move by itself. Why Blizzard is so bad in balancing stuff like that?     The company took almost every single thing that made the Diablo Series and removed it from the game.

    It is now a hollow shell resembling that which Diablo once was.

    This game is terrible. Everything is ridiculously simplistic. Seriously, I’ve never seen anything like it. Don’t buy unless you enjoy games with childlike levels of complexity

    No offline mode. End game very poor. No trade like D2/POE. (limited trade with party member for ~4h).
    Everything is made casual;
    Forced to all play with the same build for the end-game;
    For D4 they have already announced that there will be no trade except with his group. Blizzard isn't what it used to be. I won't buy any more games as long as they continue in this direction

    lack of offline mode is a dealbreaker. if this was playable offline, we'd have lots of mods. modders could fix this mess of a game.

    Pas de jeu hors ligne !
    Trop peu de bon drop.
    Statistique trop basé sur la chance et le farm intensif.
    Pay to win avec les saisons pass.

    Jouer à Lost Ark si vous aimer perdre votre temps, au moins il y' a du monde et c'est beau.

    Blizzard continues to absolutely bollocks up the issue of servers. They cannot maintain a stable environment every since they decided "always online" was the way to deal with cheaters...when cheaters (item duplication, max skills) have absolutely no impact on a non-PvP game.

    Kind of a shallow game. Not bad for playing it once and forgetting about it but no way near what another ARPG like PoE or Last Epoch can offer you (100+ hours high quality gaming experience)

They made changes to builds that took hundred of hours to farm, without reducing the cost to switch. There where no quality of life changes, I.E. larger storage, gem tabs, etc etc.

    This is the greatest letdown. To regress this badly, proves that Blizzard once again can and will kill their game in a single patch, just like WoW Dragonflight 10.1.5, similar treatment. Immediately uninstalled.

    This game is still in Alpha. It's not fun, it's buggy as heck, wildly unbalanced, the graphics are dark and brooding everywhere. The dungeons all look the same, the rewards that drop are pretty crappy even by diablo standards. Overall...it's just not fun. Go back to Diablo 3 or POE

    Playing a sorcerer… was not much fun before patch 1.1 - is no fun at all with patch 1.1.
    Endgame is boring as hell…

    It is hard from me to understand how in today's age of advanced technology and with Blizzard's experience + money, they have failed to deliver a game at least half as good as Diablo 2.

    My one major complaint is that the game never feels very difficult, especially on Normal. There are frustrating moments, hordes of baddies, and increasing difficulty levels, but the same feeling of utter defeat never really happens as it did in the past.

    For all the game's missteps, though, you certainly can't accuse Blizzard of phoning it in - if anything, the game suffers from the tendency to try a little to hard at times to evolve the design. [Aug 2012, p.61]
