May 15, 2012HORRIBLE AWFUL GAME. doesn't work. Isn't worth the money you pay for it and the campaign is way too short. Only a fool would buy this game. It is full of anti christian values that will pollute the minds of your children. STAY AWAY

May 15, 2012Sure would be awesome to PLAY the game I paid for. This is the worst game launch, ever. Seriously, in 3123 they will talk about how atrocious the launch of diablo3 was. I would love to play and review the game for you... but I can't.
-
May 15, 2012Gasme sucks, graphics suck, completely nothing like original D1 and D2. Feels more like WoW, enjoy people showing off their purchased gear, can't log in, steaming pile of crap.

May 15, 2012I loved the 2 hours of this I could play on launch day. Blizzard decided to force always-on connections with no choice of offline playing, so now I've been waiting well over 5 hours to get back into a game I preordered months ago. I'll change my rating when I get to play more, but seeing as the game is unplayable right now, this is the rating it gets.
-
May 15, 2012No offline play. Broadband required? If you have Satellite it is unplayable. In other words if you live in a rural area this game is not for you. I don't know if the actual game is any good, because the best internet available to me is too crappy to run the game. Thanks for nothing Blizzard. I used to be a fan of the Diablo games, but since I can't play the new one...
-
May 15, 2012I want to know how people are writing reviews as the servers have been off/on (mostly off) since launch, about 15hrs ago and aren't scheduled to be back online for another 2 hours. When I got to play this game was good. Graphics are decent, but really it is DIABLO...LOOTFESTFTW is still awesome and getting new gear still drives this slasher!!!
-
May 15, 2012What a fail of a game launch . For a company this large that makes millions of dollars a month this launch and the entire launch day the game is still unplayable .
Blizzard is full of excuses Save your money -
May 15, 2012Might be a good game, but there is no reason for one of the largest gaming companies to have this many issues with launching a game. It's not like this is their first rodeo.
-
May 15, 2012This game isn't even worth looking at it. Obviously, all of them developers are largely overpaid. and to say we've waited 12 years for this game, is a bit shameful. Shame on Blizzard for delivering such a botched up, wanna-be World Of Warcraft products to their clients. And shame on us, the clients, for believing they'd have done otherwise.
-

-
May 15, 2012Horrible, this is not the Blizzard I once knew. Instead of trying to craft a well polished experience they are simply trying to grab as much money by cutting as many corners as possible.
-
May 15, 2012Great idea, great game play if you can get on...but you cant. And if you cant, you cant play. Blizzards idea to release this for every time zone at the same time on top of requiring you to be on has complete botched the release and put a horrible taste in peoples mouths. Wait to buy until problems are fixed.

May 15, 2012Dear Blizzard, you ruined the name Diablo with this RPGless,WOWsimilar game with no atmosphere.
Instead of Diablo 3 you should have done additional datadisk to Diablo 2 with 2 new characters and with original graphic (maybe higher resolution etc.) and the players would love you.
You should have left the legend sleep!! Shame on you! -

May 15, 2012Need to be connected to Battle.net servers in order to play a SINGLE PLAYER game. Very draconian style DRM. Game only actually runs on 50% of users' computers. Others are having terrible graphics and performance issues. The game has been made easier and casualised to appeal to the Call of Duty crowd. Avoid this game at all costs. Save $60 and don't give Blizzard any more money.
-
May 15, 2012There might actually be a good game here, but between the error preventing login and the constant server downtime, this game isn't yet worth anyone's time. Most frustrating is the fact that even if you're playing single player you still must connect to a server at all times. So if your internet is down or there are too many people playing the game at once, you can't play the game at all.

May 15, 2012
-
May 15, 2012Fails to deliver the experience because nearly half the time the servers are either lagging, full, or just straight out shut down...Music on the other hand does a good job and helps you forgive the developers for a rough start...No singleplayer....4 Players max per game compared to 8 in Diablo II...
-
May 15, 2012Well, the game is pretty good. But, why I need their servers to be up to play singleplayer, by myself, is utterly confusing. Can the game not be hosted using my bandwidth? At this point I think my computer would be a more stable server than their real servers. Right now, I'm giving it a 0, because if I can't play it, it's a waste of time and money.
-
May 15, 2012I thought people were overreacting to not being able to get in but then I finally got in only to be told the server is full and I'm to be placed in a queue. A queue in a single player game . . . What rabbit hole did I fall down?

-
May 15, 2012Unplayable. I knew all about the constant internet requirement, but that did not prepare me for a 30+ minute server queue before i could play the game in SINGLE PLAYER mode.
-
May 15, 2012One of the worst releases in the history of RPG's or action games right up there with FFXIV which had horrible server issues, a complete joke in all aspects.. This goes to show companies care about nothing but money and could care less about the people that wait for midnight releases, only to spit in our faces.
-
May 15, 2012
-
May 15, 2012They used to pay attention to the details of the game, not any more. They used to care about the game experience, not any more, the users couldn't even get into the game which suppose to be played as a single game.
Poor story line as always.
Bad launch and customer service as alwasy, or you can say they just failed. -
May 15, 2012Terribad. The graphics and gameplay are so shoddy that it is barely a step up (if that) from the first Diablo game. Enemy difficulty is so easy that it is not even fun. Combine that with the horrible servers, constant errors, and no offline single-player and you get a huge steaming pile of fail.

May 15, 2012Were they not expecting a large number of logins on launch day? They had plenty of time to prepare for launch day and they still royally fuked it up.

May 15, 2012The game is fair, but the launch earns this 0. I just lost all of my achievements, and now I'll have to do all of the quests on nightmare that I was looking forward to skipping. Great work guys.
-
May 15, 2012Great job Blizzard. Just got my Collectors Edition in the mail and I can't play it because of the DRM that you've implemented. If you're going to put DRM in a game, you sure as well better be able to handle people logging in. Can't even play offline.
I'm sure the game is good, but you can't rate what you can't play on launch day. -

May 16, 2012I was finally able to get on today...pretty smooth on the first act...until...i get to the skeleton king, server reset 3 times....then the servers went down. had to fight my way to him three times...never to get to him due to the servers. I hate the fact you have to rely on there servers to be able to play this game...very annoying
-
May 15, 20125 hours to install...another 5 hours troubleshooting cause of errors in the folders...and another 5 now 6 hours of waiting to enter the server that keeps going in maintenance...buyer beware! you are at the mercy of blizzards online server!

May 15, 2012Diablo 3 is out. It took 11 years to make. The graphics look 10 years old and its only 6 hours long. But don't worry kids you can buy hats with moms credit card!
-
May 15, 2012Lack of character customization, wow like graphics, gameplay about 6 hours long, couple that with the fact that you can't even log in because of the stupid drm. God forbid people pirate games so you have to have a constant internet connection EVEN FOR SINGLE PLAYER.
-
May 15, 2012
-
May 15, 2012The way Blizzard is handling this situation is the most irresponsible and retarded thing ever done by a multi-million dollar company since the Golf War oil spill. Congratulations on becoming the biggest joke in video gaming history since Duke Nukem Forever. I can't believe I'm downloading a pirate cracked version of a game I already paid 60 dollars for, I want my money back
-
May 15, 2012Never pictured myself as the register-just-to-give-a-zero type. But alas here we are. Single player online only; bad for Blizzard, bad for gamers, bad for the industry.

This is a single player game.
DRM epic fail.
Don't waste your money on this joke. Don't let the fanboy's sway you with the 10's they are putting up for a game that they themselves can't login to...lol...login to a single player game. Silly Blizzard. -

May 15, 2012Doesn't work. Games that cannot be played upon launch are nonfunctioning products, and receive a zero: not buying the game and not being able to play it is actually more fun than buying the game and not being able to play it.

May 15, 2012Released a few months too early and its completely unplayable right now. I hope if you get this game you dont plan on playing online.
-
May 15, 2012Blizzard basically ruined the Diablo series, with an internet connection needed and their servers **** up. If you liked Diablo 1/2, you will hate Diablo 3. The plot is Cliche #34, and really is bad. Don't waste your money.
-
May 15, 2012A bland game, shackled with horrendous DRM. Even without the DRM, which prevents you from playing offline, the game is consistantly bland, not nearly worth the generous $60 price tag Blizzard happily slapped the game with. And I don't even need to tell you the login screen errors everyone has been getting. Overall, it is a complete disaster.
-
May 15, 2012Totally ruined everything that made d2 good. No character customisation. No fighting for the good item drops. Can't even see peoples names in the chatroom!
-
May 15, 2012What a joke. This is the most disappointing game I've played all year; honestly I'm losing faith in this industry every month. Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 were fantastic, but this is just terrible: bugs, design flaws, and above all it is just boring. The connectivity issues are horrifying, but I'm sure they will pass; still it shows how Blizzard doesn't give a damn about their players.

May 15, 2012This game is a massive pile of **** It shouldn't be named like that.
WoW is nice like a prostate cancer, and this "Diablo"3 is like a bunch of bloody hemorrhoids in your mouth. -
May 15, 2012this game is **** away from it at all costs,it is extremely dumbed down and downright boring to play,i so regret buying this game,it is a wow clone

May 15, 2012Probably one of the biggest let downs of the year, When I purchased D3 I was expecting the epic conclusion t0 D2 one of my favorite games of all time. What I got instead was an insane amount of lag and game play that feels about ten years dated. I seriously hope you guys don't consider buying this game.

May 15, 2012Game govno do not play this. Getting disconnected from single player all the time. Very buggy, unfinished with dumbed down customization and cartoon graphics
-

-
May 15, 2012You love Diablo II? So... Don't buy D3! No more attribute points to distribute, skills unlock automatically as you level you, character personnalisation = 0. And the DRM... THE DRM!
We can't play to the solo game when we want.
Bad game Blizzard, very bad game. -
May 15, 2012I can not even begin to describe my disappointment, the entire game is a bug. EA servers are terrible and there speed is at a crawl. Offline gameplay, lol nope.flv
-
May 29, 2012Game of repeating over and over again for crappy loot, it gets boring super fast.
With pay to win auction house + crappy DRM.
It does not feel like diablo 3, it feels like a whole new game. -
May 15, 2012
-
May 15, 2012very very awful experience. Too many error on installing and downloading. when i finally login and play, its bad sever's problem loom. i m sure its the end of blizzard.
-
May 15, 2012Online only? What kind of Orwellian future am I living in? Game is worse than D2 due to lack of features. Incredibly frustrating because the graphics and cinematics are A+.

May 15, 2012This game is such a disappointment after Diablo 2. They completely removed any form of character customization. Every single hero of a class is the same as any other hero of that class. There are no more unique builds both attributes and skills are automatically gotten for you as you level up. It tries far too hard to hold your hand and made it impossible to make your character unique.
-
May 15, 2012Big fan of D2, this is just the worst launch in history, of any product, not just a game!
Paying for something and being denied the use of it = Theft -
May 15, 2012The original creators of Diablo no longer work in Blizzard. They currently work on Torchlight 2 which is going to be the true Diablo successor. Not this piece of broken ****
-
May 15, 2012
-
May 15, 2012It's just that bad, seriously. Let's show Blizzard that they can't get away with all this crap they did. Is this really what we waited for 12 years? Diablo is never going to be the same. Thank you Blizzard for ruining this game.
-
May 15, 2012I do not even know how people can even gave 2/10 for this game. This is most overhyped and biggest let down of all time. Blizzard fail to deliver, no wonder they fired so many people. Their games no longer has the factor of quality and polish. Always online-DRM and then no capcity to handle all pre-orders and known retail and digital sales? Buying a product you can't use.
-
May 15, 2012You want 150 words minimum to accept my review? Ok. FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL. DO NOT BUY !!! SERIOUSLY. Vote with your wallet, dont give these **** money.

Aug 31, 2012My one major complaint is that the game never feels very difficult, especially on Normal. There are frustrating moments, hordes of baddies, and increasing difficulty levels, but the same feeling of utter defeat never really happens as it did in the past.
-
Hyper MagazineJul 18, 2012For all the game's missteps, though, you certainly can't accuse Blizzard of phoning it in - if anything, the game suffers from the tendency to try a little to hard at times to evolve the design. [Aug 2012, p.61]
-
Jul 3, 2012When it works, Diablo III is the best of the Diablo games. When it doesn't, all it does is make you mad. [July 2012, p.54]
