May 16, 2012This game sucks. Can't even play single player when the servers go down and they go down often. When they do come back there are rollbacks where ive lost several levels.
-
May 25, 2012Terrible stoy and narration, one kid 5 yo would have done better (the same as with starcraft 2).
Always online drm for single player in the most retarded thing ever done.
A game built upon the shameful real money AH.
Terrible graphics, I expecter A LOT more than the usual WOW art style.
Gameplay wise is worse than Diablo 2 in many areas.
Ridicolous price for a bad product like this. -

May 16, 2012Wow, they not only managed to make the game always in multiplayer mode, they also managed to do it always unplayable. Nice one, very good one gentlemen.
-
May 17, 2012WTF is this. First I can't log in, now I get disconnected every 10 minutes. In a single player game. That's right. I need to be online to enjoy a single. player. game.

May 15, 2012As was expected, the game is way below it's predecessor. Constant connection requirement, real money auction house, 4 player maximum, cartoonish art style, bans for using display sharpening software and 2 hour short game are only the tip of the iceberg.
With this installment, ActivisionBlizzard have finally secured themselves a spot in my top 5 most hated developer list. -
Jun 1, 20120 is all this game deserve as I can't play it most of the time because Blizzard is doing a **** job with his servers.
Normal mode is a joke.
Nightmare mode is a joke.
The whole Act.4 is a joke.
The loot is not impressive at all.
The only good thing about this game is that I learned to type extra fast my password at the loging screen. -
May 15, 2012NOT worth 60 dollars. WAY too short and missing many features that are "promised" by Blizzard as in you've gotta wait who know how many months for them to actually develop said features and implement them. In it's current state the game is just way too expensive for so little play time. No idea why Blizzard decided to release such an unfinished barebones game and decided to charge full price.
-
May 17, 2012This game is great! I wish I could play it. The game's been out for three days and I'm already at level 5! I've been playing as often as I can. You'll really enjoy it if the stars align in such a way that you're able to successfully log in to this online-only multiplayer game.
-
May 16, 2012Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Yeah, there's different icing, but underneath it's the same cake. You still click the mouse button until your fingers fall off, waiting for that one super-drop to make it all worthwhile. Add to that the massive fail of "must always be online" and servers crashing and you get ... my zero rating.

-
Aug 8, 2012It has DRM always online. No offline mode. There is not really anything else to be said about this game. It

May 15, 2012Don't waste your time and money on this game. It's not even close to Diablo 2 or even Diablo 1. Blizzard is just trying to use it's famous title to milk customers.

May 16, 2012this will be my shortest review ever
WHAT A PIECE OF..... u know what i mean and as i said on guru 3d ppl deserve any trouble they get from the servers just because they are brainless automatons... they did not raise there voices for this crap of a drm -
Jun 3, 2012Let me just play single-player without network problems! I'm seriously not buying anything with this DRM in the future. Sure, this is just a game, but that's precisely why you shouldn't frustrate your goddamn customer!
-
May 15, 2012Terrible DRM that requires you to be online and then terrible support from Blizzard at keeping the servers online and actually allowing people to play, or better said not allowing since they did piss poor job at making descent servers. No character customization in 2012, arguably Diablo 2 looks better/less blurry at times, no lan, no pvp or proper pvp after they add arena.
Not a good game. -
May 16, 2012If they force you to play online, even if you just want to play for your own, than they have to make sure that the capacity of the servers are sufficient every minute at any time.
No Play No Game. -
Aug 24, 2012David Brevik is a good and decent man. To even think of how unprofessional and unskilled Jay Wilson talked about him makes me very angry. This game was released broken and no one should waste money on it.

May 15, 2012Humongous disappointment. Too much crap to take. Servers are constantly offline. You have to be online to play single player! Not to mention the faults at the game system compared to Diablo 2. I just cancelled WoW subscription from Blizzard and won't buy anything else if they don't fix it.
-
May 15, 2012This game is nothing compared to Diablo 1 and 2, Just a big disappointment. THE STORY IS TERRIBLE OMG WHY DID I BUY THIS WHILE SO MANY GOOD TITLES ARE COMING OUT THIS YEAR?

May 26, 2012I have to play the game in compatibility mode (I have windows 64), I have trouble connecting to the servers, and there is no single player (what is there doesn't count since I have to be connected to the internet anyway). Fix your **** Blizzard. Give us LAN, give us singleplayer, give us what you used to when you were a good company.

May 18, 2012This game is just plain horrible. I do not recommend anyone to purchase this game. It crashes every second, and servers are very unstable. They keep updating the servers never giving you the chance to play for more than 7 hours straight. And a 0 is a responsible score. So in conclusion
A VERY HORRIBLE GAME DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CRAP -

May 21, 2012the game its very good but u cant play it with 400 ping to 1200. Today the game have 1200 ping to 1500. Blizzard gives no answers.. its amazing that this game took 9 years to be made...
-
May 22, 2012This is a huge disappointment for all hardcore gamers. The major problem is simplified casual gameplay oriented on non-gamers. And its complement with lots of minor issues from absurd DRM policy to outdated graphics and step back in terms of general design.
-
May 15, 2012Unplayable. Pure garbage for a single player game that is forced to be online to have servers that don't work. I know this is the last Blizzard game I'll waste my money on.
-
May 15, 2012Absolutely terrible launch. Blizzard you should hang your heads in shame. Of all the companies I would have expected to be prepared for a large user base it's you. I think you've been poisoned by WoW.

Sep 22, 2012Superbad game. Boring, money-making, over and over boring game. Blizzard, what have you done? Where is the spirit of the old "Blizzard North" of the original Diablo? Where? Oh, wait a minute...? It's runic's game "Torchlight II".
-
Jun 8, 2012Seriously? What the **** is this? Blizzard go eat **** II is even more funny. You waste 13 years for this crap? Come on ! I hate you Blizzard.Seriously? What the **** is this? Blizzard go eat **** II is even more funny. You waste 13 years for this crap? Come on ! I hate you Blizzard.

May 17, 2012Always online DRM. Not that it affects them at all, but they lost at least one pre-order sale, but of course, everyone in the world has first world internet connections, so it will be fiiine.

May 15, 2012I think the way reviews for good scores are written here that half of them are Blizzard employees...lol
Seriously though I expect waaay more from Blizzard, it makes me think they will butcher "heart of the swarm" as well.

May 17, 2012This is a disgrace. Would have though Blizzard of all companies could have handled this well. Very disappointed. The customer service is crap. I mean what the hell, you can't change your character's server region when the game chooses the wrong for you in the beginning? FU blizzard. You deserve nothing from me anymore.

Jun 1, 2012Im giving this game a BIG zero, simply because it's unplayable due to fps drops, constant DC, lag and no info from Blizzard about what's going on. Worst release ever! It's been over two weeks and Iv'e had enough. Sorry ACTIVISIONBLIZZARD, but this is the last dollar you will ever get from me.
-
May 15, 2012It has been a day and the game at no point has been playable. This is totally unacceptable. I played the beta and it was decent, but having to depend on the random nature of the servers to actually play the thing is intolerable.

Oct 12, 2012Draconian DRM and since I'm on 3G connection mostly unplayable. The pay to win auction house, the intense lag since I live in Africa... its like something EA would make. Very disappointed, especially for this price tag
-
Aug 2, 2012Too many nerfs and the auction house killed the game. Blizzard could just sll you any items they want throught the real money auction house and control the economy of it. Thank you Activision!
-
May 17, 2012It's pretty terrible that the error 37 destroys chances of logging on. I mean seriously, Blizzard's insanity with DRM and not calling it DRM is a pretty massive stroke against it. The Auction house is so annoying, what with any idea of fees, while the gameplay is short, linear, and not innovating at the least.

May 15, 2012Regardless of the outdated graphic and gameplay. The worst is 11 hours past , still cant play. Blizzard, you make this game for nine years, nine years! And here comes an unplayable online game? Shame on you!
-
May 17, 2012This game is ruined for me because of the internet connectivity. I don't have anything new to say. I just wanted to give another 0 to help bring down the average. Fck you blizzard i will never purchase another one of your games.
-
May 15, 2012
-
May 15, 2012Unplayable, and I really mean unplayable as I have yet to successfully login to play a for the most part singleplayer game. I only have a few hours a day I could spend on gaming and to be unable to play this game makes it worthless and it therefore earns the zero I'm giving it.
-
May 15, 2012
-
May 18, 2012It's drastically simplified from Diablo 2. Many complicated but interesting features from 2 have been taken out. So I guess beginners can have more fun while hardcore players would have less. It's still quite fun and addicting, though it didn't fully live up to my expectation.
-
May 31, 2012It would appear I made a mistake in my earlier review. failzzard was making this game for 12 years, 6 months in beta, 4 days of stress testing and they fail. We can't play the game for 3 straight days now, and before that there were lags all the time...this is just a worst crap ever to be released...
Be warned!! never buy this crap or any other game from crapzzard... -

May 15, 2012Pay to win and always online DRM, two things I do no support. Shame on Activision and Blizzard entertainment for making this an industry standard.
-
May 15, 2012The story and cinematics are great. Gameplay is fun for small sessions but after a while it becomes stale. Always online DRM is inexcusable and connectivity issues just make an appalling situation even worse. My advice: watch the cinematics on YouTube and give this $60 game a miss.
-
Jul 24, 2012Played for 350 hours, used $100 on RMAH. I can finally farm act 3/4 without many problems except for idiotic elite comps. However, I did not get a SINGLE loot which gives me an upgrade.
Done. -
May 16, 2012Servers are finally working and this game is amazing. I'm going to be playing this for months, if not years. The gameplay is fast and action packed, the story is really cool and the graphics are pretty, while still keeping true to the Diablo series.

Aug 31, 2012My one major complaint is that the game never feels very difficult, especially on Normal. There are frustrating moments, hordes of baddies, and increasing difficulty levels, but the same feeling of utter defeat never really happens as it did in the past.
-
Hyper MagazineJul 18, 2012For all the game's missteps, though, you certainly can't accuse Blizzard of phoning it in - if anything, the game suffers from the tendency to try a little to hard at times to evolve the design. [Aug 2012, p.61]
-
Jul 3, 2012When it works, Diablo III is the best of the Diablo games. When it doesn't, all it does is make you mad. [July 2012, p.54]
