May 16, 2012Unworthy of the Diablo name. Blizzard has gone way down hill. This is uninspired and unoriginal. Story is the same as the last. Skill system eliminates choice. No offline single player. They are penalizing the customer to save them money from people pirating.

May 16, 2012Myself and my wife paid a total of $120 for this game and have been able to play once thus far for about 45min until they took the server down right before we got to the boss. Don't waste your $

May 17, 2012Oh my god ! This is really a game made by the guys of Blizzard ? Or just a lame game made by an external studio ??? However, if you really liked Diablo 2, don't play to this indignous sequel.

May 17, 2012Its not the expected loot fest because of the way they are now handling stats and there is so much gold laying around its easy to pick up something in the AH that will outshine the loot drops for hours. There is also the fact that it is a single player game suffering from disconnections...it beggers belief.

May 17, 2012Decent play (as expected for a loot-crawler), but the always-connected/internet feature has to go. Patch, please, Blizzard, and let us play without internet.
-
May 17, 2012What is essentially a single player game that forces you to play online. Lame excuses and question dodging on the battle.net D3 forums. Giving it a 1 because of the cow level.

May 17, 2012The need for a constant internet connection and the fact their servers CONTINUE to drop has just disgusted me.
Aside from that, no original content, zero character customization. Absolutely no replay value. If you haven't purchased this game yet, wait until it hits the value bin, you won't have to wait long -

May 18, 2012no comments, only need to say, comes from big company knows too much people will buy it and when ask or send a question about errors, they answer you with a generic message from a BOT, pathetic..., errors, needed inet conection everytime... ah i forget to say A LOT OF BUGS
-
May 18, 2012They spent over 4 years to develop a game that looks like an add-on or community mod to Diablo 2. Awesome, Blizzard! Investors won't be very happy, I'm afraid. To be honest, my 14-years old son likes it and finds it fun. He also says it's kinda like one of his smartphone games.

May 18, 2012A big disappointment for all of us who played DII for days on LAN. Blizzard has tried to please everyone who buys the game but the continual compromise leaves DII as the much superior game. The most damning thing I can say about Diablo III is that I will only play it once.
-
May 18, 2012No one has said the extremely obvious. They just remade diablo ii with newer graphics. I am only into act ii, but I have killed the butcher and I have taken the carvan east. Even act ii is in the desert. WOW let get original. Mobs are also very similar. Not overly impressed. Guess I should stick to LOTRO!!

May 22, 2012A fair game with a DRM so invasive that destroys the fun of the game! I dont want to have lag issues in a single player game or lose my progress in the middle of an Act because blizz servers or my internet connection dropped!
The online game with friends about the same level as you is really fun! -

May 20, 2012So what changed since D2 ? Not much.
Are the graphics better since D2 was released in the year 2000? Not much.
Has there been any real though or effort put into D3 to improve it ? Not much.
Am I very dissapointed and feel let down by a company that has more than enough financial resources to make a top quality product ? Very much so. -
May 20, 2012Graphics - meh
Story - meh
Constant Internet connection required - This is annoying, but wouldn't bother me so much if the servers were online when I want to play. Some latency issues as well... -
May 20, 2012Game it's not bad, but user experience is near zero especially in Europe where Blizzard just don't care. Also lack of offline gaming is a big drawback

May 20, 2012They make us wait 10 years!? only to produce this hollow sover-simplified piece of crap, it doesn't compare to the 2nd game and they brought it out in only a few years. All they had to do was take the Diablo 2 engine update the graphics a little, write the finish for the story and it would have been Game of the year 2005. Always-online DRM is not an option for me, with my horrible isp.

May 20, 2012Game looks good and overall i like the graphics and game design (similar to the old Diablo 2 which we all liked). However, the game as of now is simply useless as I get kicked of the server after 5 minutes play time. Blizzard, give us offline single player mode OR up your online servers because this SUCKS!!!

May 20, 2012I registered only for this. 12 years and 12 hour gametime, feel sorry for those programmers. Game mexanics is good but the game lack content. This game would be ok if it was diablo 2 but not 3 ! I regret annual pass and Will cancel all My blizzard accounts.

May 21, 2012A huge dissapointment!
Bad graphics, online only, problems with fps, some weird issue with the game not supposed to run on i5 i7 etc with all 4 cores (what is that all about, seriously?). This game screams - Blizzard wants money for nothing... not anymore! -
May 21, 2012What can I say? It's an online only single player game with lackluster graphics. That's right, there's lag in the single player! Its terrible. There are plenty of indie titles that deliver a better experience.

May 21, 2012The fact that this is a a single-player game that rREQUIRES you to connect to the Internet is horrible. As long as Blizzard continues this business model, they have lost me as a customer. If all game companies go this route, then I will find something else to occupy my time.

May 22, 2012I will prefer to play D2 instead of D3 i already purchase it and i'm shame of it. I'll prefer to distribute my own skill points to me and my partner, as usual the blacksmith is useful the best armor and weapons are just fighting, and the gold is useless.
-
May 22, 2012I've been burned multiple times by server outages and the classes all play the same. This game is all about loot and DPS and loot is made a little redundant by the Auction house having so many readily available items. I really thought Blizzard was a prove resource that always made dynamite sequels, turns out they really dropped the ball on this one.
-
May 22, 2012I'm going to start by saying the game is good. I've enjoyed my time that I've got to play it. The problem is the terrible DRM they have for the game. Having to be online at all times when playing my game single player is NOT a good business practice when Blizzard takes down the servers constantly. I paid good money for this game. I deserve to be able to play it.
-
May 22, 2012There should be a choice between playing online or not. Battlenet should be titled BattleJUNK because it is always down or under maintenance. Having to logon to their server to play the game SUCKS. I can't go mobile with the game and I travel.

May 22, 2012Always on DRM ruins my single player experience. Thanks for the big FU to rural ISP folks, Blizzard. Not everyone has a solid net connection -- and they shouldn't have to have one, if you gave a damn about your customers. It's a shame that Blizzard now joins the likes of Ubisoft in my Never Buy Again Hall of Shame.
-
Jun 26, 2012User score on this site is getting lower and lower. To be honest, Diablo 3 deserve that low score. Come to think of it, it has been 5 weeks since diablo 3 was released and their server fixing arent finished yet. I hope that blizzard company will simply rot.

-
May 23, 2012Diablo 3 is so boring you would have more fun at a bingo hall. Also the connection problems at launch are awful and show how incompetent Blizzard is. The graphics in game are also not close to what a Diablo game should look like.
-
May 23, 2012Game was made with cartoon graphics so kids could run it on thier pc's. The game was made with very little blood and gore so kids could buy it. Blizzard has failed with launch and if i could get my money back and return the game i would.

Aug 31, 2012My one major complaint is that the game never feels very difficult, especially on Normal. There are frustrating moments, hordes of baddies, and increasing difficulty levels, but the same feeling of utter defeat never really happens as it did in the past.
-
Hyper MagazineJul 18, 2012For all the game's missteps, though, you certainly can't accuse Blizzard of phoning it in - if anything, the game suffers from the tendency to try a little to hard at times to evolve the design. [Aug 2012, p.61]

Jul 3, 2012When it works, Diablo III is the best of the Diablo games. When it doesn't, all it does is make you mad. [July 2012, p.54]
